MANUTENZIONE
Il funzionamento dello sconnettore deve essere vericato saltuariamente.
Per eettuare correttamente l'operazione di manutenzione seguire le seguenti istruzioni:
1) Allentare la calotta che tiene assemblato il corpo al bocchettone.
2) Svitare il corpo dalla tubazione ed estrarre i due moduli di ritegno spingendoli dal fondo.
3) Controllare che i due moduli funzionino perfettamente, non devono esserci impurezze sulla sede di
tenuta o sulla molla di chiusura. Nel caso in cui i moduli di ritegno siano guasti sostituirli.
4) Inserire uno alla volta i moduli di ritegno facendo attenzione al loro verso: la molla deve rimanere verso
la coda dello sconnettore mentre la parte mobile verso il bocchettone. Nell'inserimento non bisogna
inoltre dimenticare gli anelli O-Ring che si trovano all'estremità dei moduli.
5) Rimontare il corpo dello sconnettore sulla tubazione utilizzando chiavi esagonali e serrare la calotta di
collegamento.
MAINTENANCE
The operation of the backow preventer must be veried occasionally.
In order to make the maintenance operation correctly, please follow the next instructions:
1) Loosen the nut that keeps the body assembled to the tail piece.
2) Unscrew the pipe body and extract the two stop modules by pushing them from the bottom.
3) Check the two modules that shall work perfectly, there must be no impurities on the sealing seat or on
the closing spring. If the stop modules fail, replace them.
4) Insert one by one the stop modules, by paying attention to their side: the spring must remain towards
the backow preventer tail, while the mobile part towards the tail piece. During the introduction, do
not forget the o-rings that are situated at the module ends.
5) Remount the body of the backow preventer on the pipe, by using hexagonal wrenches and screw the
connection nut.

INSTALLAZIONE
Lo sconnettore R623 Giacomini può essere installato sia orizzontalmente che verticalmente su tubazioni
di alimentazione dell'acqua potabile. Lo sconnettore deve essere installato in posizione accessibile che
consenta la manutenzione ed il controllo nonchè eventuali protezioni antigelo.
Nel montaggio assicurarsi che la direzione del usso coincida con quella indicata con una freccia sul corpo
dello sconnettore. Utilizzare le apposite sedi esagonali praticate sul corpo e sul bocchettone; evitare di serrare
lo sconnettore stringendolo sul corpo cilindrico perchè torsioni dello stesso potrebbero comprometterne il
funzionamento. Sulla lettatura della calotta che collega il corpo al bocchettone non deve essere applicato
nessun materiale di tenuta, dato che questa è garantita per mezzo di guarnizione O-Ring.
Un buon funzionamento dello sconnettore è assicurato se l'acqua distribuita non contiene impurezze o
sabbie. Nel caso di acque che trasportano materiali in sospensione è fondamentale installare opportuni
ltri nel punto di collegamento alla rete.
INSTALLATION
Giacomini’s R623 backow preventer can be installed either horizontally or vertically on the supply pipes
of the drinking water. The backow must be installed in an accessible place, that allows the maintenance
and the control as well as possible anti-freeze protections.
During the mounting, make sure that the ow direction coincides with that one indicated with an arrow
on the body of the backow preventer. Use the appropriate hexagonal seats on the body and on the tail
piece; do not tighten the backow preventer by holding it tightly on the cylindrical body, because torsions
of it could compromise the operation. On the thread of the nut that connects the body to the tail piece, no
tightening material must be applied, as this is guaranteed by means of o-rings.
A good operation of the backow preventer is assured if the distributed water does not contain impurities
or sands. In case of waters that transport material in suspension, it is essential installing appropriate lters
in the point of connection to the network.
