1.0 Introductie

1.1 Functies en kenmerken
De draadloze EM6581 e-Domotica bewegingsdetector stelt je in staat om elke
beweging in je huis of kantoor te detecteren. In samenwerking met de Eminent e-
Centre kun je op deze manier een beveiligingssysteem opzetten waar niemand
omheen kan.
1.2 Inhoud van de verpakking
De volgende onderdelen zijn aanwezig in het pakket:
• EM6581 draadloze e-Domotica bewegingsdetector
• 3 AA batterijen

2.0 De bewegingsdetector in gebruik nemen
Er zijn slechts een aantal korte en eenvoudige stappen nodig om de
bewegingsdetector aan te sluiten, aan te melden op de e-Centre en te laten
functioneren. Volg de onderstaande stappen om de bewegingsdetector aan te sluiten.
2.1 Batterijen plaatsen
1. Draai de schroef los en verwijder de onderkant van de bewegingsdetector door
deze onderkant omlaag te schuiven.
2. Verwijder nu de schroef van het batterij compartiment en verwijder het deksel.
3. Plaats de batterijen in het batterijvak en schroef het deksel weer vast. Plaats de
onderkant nog niet terug!
4. Na het installeren van de batterijen zal de sensor gedurende 2 minuten
regelmatig een toon laten horen om aan te geven dat de sensor aan het
opwarmen is. Aan het einde van de opwarmtijd klinkt een lange toon om aan te
geven dat de opwarmtijd voltooid is.
2.2 De bewegingsdetector aanmelden op een nieuwe
Eminent e-Centre
Er zijn twee situaties mogelijk bij het aanmelden van de bewegingsdetector op een
Eminent e-Centre.
1. Je meldt de bewegingsdetector aan op een Eminent e-Centre gedurende het
eerste installatieproces van de e-Centre. De installatiewizard van de e-Centre
doorloopt eenmalig in meerdere stappen de complete installatie van al je e-
Domotica apparatuur via de website van je e-Centre “http://e-Centre”. Volg hierbij
de stappen op het scherm. Druk tijdens het aanmelden 3 keer op de zwarte knop
aan de achterkant van de bewegingsdetector.
2. Je voegt de bewegingsdetector toe aan je al geïnstalleerde e-Centre. Dit is
beschreven onder ‘2.3 De bewegingsdetector toevoegen aan een bestaand e-
Centre’.

2. Open de webbrowser op je computer.

3. Typ in de adresbalk van je webbrowser: ‘http://e-Centre’ en druk op ‘Enter’.
4. Het openingsscherm van de Eminent e-Centre wordt getoond.
5. Klik op de knop ‘Aanmelden’, de e-Centre zal hierna zoeken naar nieuwe e-
Domotica apparaten.
6. Druk 3 keer op de zwarte knop aan de onderkant van je nieuwe
bewegingsdetector.
7. Er verschijnt een melding in beeld: ‘Product gevonden’.
Indien de bewegingsdetector niet gevonden wordt, dien je op de ‘Reset’ knop in de
website te klikken en daarna 3 maal op de zwarte knop van de bewegingsdetector. Na
deze procedure kun je de bewegingsdetector weer correct aanmelden.
8. Geef het nieuw gevonden apparaat, dus de bewegingsdetector die je net hebt
aangesloten een naam en geef een locatie op. Klik vervolgens op ‘Opslaan’.
9. De bewegingsdetector is nu toegevoegd aan de e-Centre.
10. Vaak is het gewenst dat de bewegingsdetector bij beweging het alarm aanstuurt.
Open daarom de webpagina ‘Alarmsensoren instellen’
11. Klik op het gewenste alarm
12. Klik op je bewegingsdetector onder de lijst ‘Niet geselecteerd’ en klik daarna op
het pijltje naar rechts zodat de bewegingsdetector opgenomen worden in de lijst
‘Geselecteerd’.
13. Klik op opslaan.
14. Wanneer je voortaan het alarm inschakelt van je e-Centre, zal het alarm afgaan
als er beweging wordt gedetecteerd.
2.4 De juiste locatie kiezen voor de bewegingsdetector
1. De bewegingsdetector mag niet gericht zijn op een raam, ventilator,
airconditioner, open brievenbus of faxmachine. Zowel direct zonlicht als
weerkaatst zonlicht kunnen een vals alarm geven.
2. Plaats de bewegingsdetector niet direct boven een warmtebron, bijvoorbeeld een
radiator, boiler of kachel.
3. Indien mogelijk, kies de locatie van de bewegingsdetector zo dat de inbreker er
langs loopt in plaats van er recht op af. Zie figuur 1.

2.5 Plafondlens installeren

Indien je de bewegingsdetector aan het plafond monteert, dien je de lens uit figuur 2b
te installeren. Verwijder de oude lens door de ring van de lens een stukje tegen klok in
te draaien. Door de bewegingsdetector even op de kop te houden, valt de lens uit de
bewegingsdetector. Indien de lenskap op de plafondlens is vastgeklikt, dien je deze
lenskap te verwijderen (figuur 2C). Plaats nu de ‘plafond’ lens en draai de lens vast.
Het bereik van de plafondlens is circa 4 meter.
Desgewenst kun je op de lens de meegeleverde lenskap monteren. Deze lenskap is
opgedeeld in segmenten van 30 graden. Je kunt gedeeltes van het detectiegebied
uitschakelen door die segmenten op de lenskap te laten zitten. Overal waar de
segmenten zijn afgesneden van de lenskap, wordt beweging gedetecteerd.
Wanneer de lenskap wordt gemonteerd met alle 12 segmenten nog aanwezig, dan
kan er geen beweging worden gedetecteerd.
2.6 Muurlens installeren
Indien je de bewegingsdetector aan de muur monteert, dien je de lens uit figuur 2a te
gebruiken. Verwijder de oude lens door de ring van de lens een stukje tegen klok in te
draaien. Door de bewegingsdetector even op de kop te houden, valt de lens uit de

bewegingsdetector. Plaats nu de ‘muur’ lens en draai de lens vast.
Het bereik is dan circa 7 meter. In verband met de kijkhoek kun je bewegingsdetector
het beste op circa 1.8 meter hoogte aan de muur monteren.
2.7 De bewegingsdetector vastschroeven aan de muur of
het plafond
1. Monteer de onderkant van de bewegingsdetector aan de muur of het plafond.
Gebruik hiervoor de 2 schroefgaten in de onderkant van de bewegingsdetector,
of gebruik de plakstrip.
2. Schuif de bovenkant van de bewegingsdetector op de onderkant en draai de
schroef vast.
3. Het lampje van de bewegingsdetector zal kort branden als er beweging
gedetecteerd wordt. Na elke beweging zal de bewegingsdetector 3 minuten in
slaapstand gaan om de batterijen te sparen.
Je kunt het draadloze bereik vergroten door een EM6550 schakelaar of EM6551
dimmer tussen de bewegingsdetector en de e-Centre te plaatsen en daarna op
‘Optimaliseer’ in de webpagina te klikken. Daarmee wordt het draadloze netwerk
geoptimaliseerd voor het maximale bereik.
Tip: Om de alarmfunctie te gebruiken verwijzen we naar de handleiding van je
Eminent e-Centre.
2.8 De bewegingsdetector verwijderen
1. Draai de schroef aan de onderkant los en haal de bewegingsdetector van de
muur.
2. Zorg ervoor dat je computer is opgestart.
3. Open de webbrowser van je computer.
4. Type in de adresbalk van je webbrowser: ‘http://e-Centre’ en druk op ‘Enter’.
5. Het openingsscherm van de Eminent e-Centre wordt getoond.
6. Klik op de knop ‘Verwijder’.
7. Druk 3 maal op de zwarte knop aan de onderkant van je bewegingsdetector.
8. Het apparaat is nu verwijderd.
3.0 Veel gestelde vragen
V: Wat is het maximale draadloze bereik van mijn e-Domotica apparaten?
A: Dankzij het repeater netwerk (tussenversterkers), is het bereik van de e-Domotica
apparaten vrijwel onbeperkt. Zonder repeater is de maximale afstand tot de e-
Centre in huis circa 15 meter, afhankelijk van het aantal muren.
Je kunt het bereik optimaliseren door een extra EM6550 schakelaar of EM6551
dimmer in huis te plaatsen en daarna de functie ‘Optimaliseer’ in de webpagina
van de e-Centre uit te voeren.

V: Kan ik de bewegingsdetector ook gebruiken als ik huisdieren heb?
A: in dat geval dien je te zorgen dat de huisdieren de bewegingsdetector niet
kunnen activeren.
4.0 Service en ondersteuning

5.0 Waarschuwingen en aandachtspunten
Vanwege wet- en regelgeving bepaald door het Europese parlement, kan sommige
(draadloze) apparatuur onderhevig zijn aan beperkingen omtrent het gebruik in
bepaalde Europese lidstaten. In sommige Europese lidstaten kan het gebruik van
deze apparatuur verboden zijn. Neem contact op met je (lokale) overheid voor meer
informatie over deze beperkingen.
Volg ten allen tijde de instructies in de handleiding, speciaal wanneer het apparatuur
betreft wat geassembleerd dient te worden.
Waarschuwing: In de meeste gevallen gaat het om een elektronisch apparaat.
Verkeerd of oneigenlijk gebruik van het apparaat kan leiden tot (zware) verwondingen.
Het repareren van het apparaat dient uitgevoerd te worden door gekwalificeerd
Eminent personeel. De garantie vervalt per direct indien het apparaat zelf gerepareerd

6.0 Garantievoorwaarden
De garantietermijn van vijf jaar geldt voor alle Eminent producten, tenzij anders
aangegeven op het moment van aankoop. Bij aankoop van een tweedehands Eminent
product resteert de garantieperiode gemeten vanaf het moment van de aankoop door
de eerste eigenaar. De Eminent garantieregeling is van toepassing op alle Eminent
producten en onderdelen onlosmakelijk verbonden met het betreffende product.
Voedingen, batterijen, accu’s, antennes en alle andere producten niet geïntegreerd in
of direct verbonden met het hoofdproduct of producten waarvan redelijkerwijs mag
worden aangenomen dat deze een ander slijtagepatroon kennen dan het
hoofdproduct vallen derhalve niet onder de Eminent garantieregeling. De garantie

vervalt tevens bij onjuist of oneigenlijk gebruik, externe invloeden en/of bij opening van
de behuizing van het betreffende product door partijen anders dan Eminent.

1.1 Functions and features
The EM6581 allows you to detect any movement in your house or office. In
cooperation with the Eminent e-Centre you can setup a security system nobody can
ignore.
1.2 Packing contents
The following parts need to be present in the packing:

2.0 Installing the motion detector
In a few simple steps, you can connect the motion sensor with your e-Centre and use
your motion sensor. Follow the steps below to install the motion sensor.
2.1 Installing the batteries
1. Remove the screw at the bottom and remove the backside of the motion detector
by sliding it away.
2. Remove now the screw of the battery compartment and remove the battery
cover.
3. Insert the batteries in the battery compartment and fix the battery cover with the
screw. Do not place the backside of the motion sensor back yet!
4. After installing the batteries, the sensor will give an intermittent tone during 2
minutes while the sensor is warming up. After the sensor is warmed up, a long
tone will be heard.
2.2 Connecting the motion sensor with your Eminent e-
Centre
There are two possible situations when assigning the motion sensor to the Eminent e-
Centre.
1. The motion sensor will be assigned to the Eminent e-Centre during the initial
installation process of the e-Centre. The installation wizard of the e-Centre will
move along several steps to complete the installation of all your e-Domotica
devices, using the e-Centre’s own website “http://e-Centre”. Therefore, follow the
steps on screen. Use the metal button at the back during the installation
procedure.
2. Assign the motion sensor to the already installed e-Centre. This is described in
chapter ‘2.3 Add the motion sensor to the already installed e-Centre’.
2.3 Add the motion sensor to the already installed e-
Centre
1. Make sure the computer is turned on and is completely started.
2. Open your computer’s web browser.
3. Fill in “http://e-Centre” in the address bar of your web browser and press the
‘Enter’ key on your keyboard.
4. The openings screen of the Eminent e-Centre will be shown.
5. Click the ‘Add’ button, the e-Centre will start to search for new e-Domotica
devices.

6. Press 3 times on the black button on the back of your new motion sensor.
7. A message will appear: ‘Product found’.
If the device is not found, press the ‘Reset’ button in the e-Centre’s webpage and then
click the button on your motion sensor. After this procedure you can add the new
device correctly.
8. Give the new found device, the motion sensor you have just connected a name
and give a location, and click ‘Save’.
9. The motion sensor has now been added to the e-Centre.
10. In most situations you want the motion sensor to activate the alarm when motion
is detected. Open therefore the webpage ‘Setup alarmsensors’
11. Click on the alarm you wish to configure
12. Select your motion sensor under the list ‘Not selected’ and click then on the
arrow pointing to the right so that the motion sensor will be listed under the list
‘Selected’.
13. Click on ‘Save’.
14. Next time you enable the alarm, the motion sensor will trigger the alarm.
2.4 Choosing the optimal location for your motion sensor
1. The motion sensor should not be facing to a window, fan, airconditioner, open
mailbox or fax. Both direct and indirect sunlight can cause a false alarm.
2. Do not mount the motion sensor above a heat source, for example a radiator,
boiler or heater.
3. Place the EM6580 at a location where a trespasser walks by, instead of walking
straight towards the motion sensor. See figure 1.

2.5 Installing the ceiling-lens

When you mount the motion sensor at the ceiling, you need to install the lens from
figure 2b. Remove the old lens from the motion sensor by turning the ring of the lens
against the clock. By turning the motion sensor upside-down, you can easily remove
the lens. Check if the shading cap is mounted on the ceiling-lens and remove this
(figure 2c). Install the ceiling-lens in the motion sensor and turn the ring of the lens to
the right.
The range of the ceiling lens is about 4 meter.
When desired, you can install the included shading cap. This shading cap is divided in
segments of 30 degrees. You can blank off parts of the detection zone by leaving
those segments on the shading cap. The motion sensor will detect only movements in
the segments that were removed.
When the shading cap is mounted will all 12 segments still intact, no motion can be
detected.
2.6 Installing the wall-lens
When you mount the motion sensor on the wall, you need to use the lens from figure
2a. Remove the old lens from the motion sensor by turning the ring of the lens against

the clock. By turning the motion sensor upside-down, you can easily remove the lens.
Install the wall-lens in the motion sensor and turn the ring of the lens to the right.
The range of the wall- lens is about 7 meter.
Because of the detection angle, we suggest to mount the motion sensor at height of
1.8 meter.
2.7 Mounting the motion sensor on the wall or ceiling
1. Mount the bottom of the motion sensor on the wall or ceiling. Use the 2 screw
holes in the bottom side of the motion sensor, or use the adhesive strip.
2. Shift the upper part of the motion sensor on the bottom side and fasten the
screw.
3. The led of the motion sensor will light up each time motion is detected. After each
motion, the motion sensor will sleep for 3 minutes to save the batteries.
You can increase the wireless range by installing an EM6550 switch or EM6551
dimmer between the motion sensor and the e-Centre.
Hint: You can find more details how to use the alarm function in the manual of your
Eminent e-Centre.
2.8 Removing the motion sensor
1. Remove the screw at the bottom side of the motion sensor and remove the
motion sensor from the wall.
2. Make sure your computer is on.
3. Open the webbrowser of your computer.
4. Type in the address bar of your webbrowser: ‘http://e-Centre’ and press ‘Enter’.
5. The opening screen of the Eminent e-Centre will be displayed.
6. Click on the button ‘Remove’.
7. Press 3 times on the black button at the bottom of the motion sensor.
8. The device has now been removed.
3.0 Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the maximum wireless range of my e-Domotica devices?
A: Thanks to the network’s repeating option (amplifiers), the wireless range of the e-
Domotica devices is virtually unlimited. The EM6550 or EM6551 acts as a
repeater. Without repeating, the maximum wireless range indoor is approximately
15 meters, depending on the number of walls.
Q: Can I use the motion sensor when I have pets?
A: In that case you must make sure the motion sensor can not be activated by your
pets.

6.0 Warranty conditions
The five-year Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent products unless mentioned

otherwise before or during the moment of purchase. When having bought a second-
hand Eminent product the remaining period of warranty is measured from the moment
of purchase by the product’s first owner. The Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent
products and parts inextricably connected to and/or mounted on the main product.
Power supply adapters, batteries, antennas and all other products not integrated in or
directly connected to the main product and/or products of which, without reasonable
doubt, can be assumed that wear and tear show a different pattern than the main
product are not covered by the Eminent warranty. Products are not covered by the
Eminent warranty when subjected to incorrect/improper use, external influences
and/or when opened by parties other than Eminent.

1.0 Introduction

1.1 Fonctions et caractéristiques
Le détecteur de mouvement EM6581 vous permet de détecter tous les mouvements
dans votre maison ou votre bureau. Utilisé en conjonction avec e-Centre de Eminent,
vous pouvez créer un système de sécurité impénétrable.
1.2 Contenu de la boîte
La boîte devrait contenir les éléments suivants :

• 3 piles AA

2.0 Installation du détecteur de mouvement
Branchez votre détecteur de mouvement à votre e-Centre et utilisez-le, en quelques
étapes simples. Suivez les étapes ci-dessous pour installer le détecteur de
mouvement.
2.1 Installation des piles
1. Enlevez la vis sous le détecteur de mouvement, et ôtez la partie arrière du
détecteur en la faisant glisser.
2. Enlevez maintenant la vis du compartiment à piles, puis enlevez le couvercle du
compartiment.
3. Insérez les piles dans le compartiment à piles, et refermez le couvercle avec la
vis. Ne replacez pas encore la partie arrière du détecteur de mouvement !
4. Une fois les piles installées, le capteur va émettre un bip par intermittence,
pendant 2 minutes. Le capteur est en cours de chauffe. Une fois le capteur prêt,
un long bip retentit.
2.2 Connexion du détecteur de mouvement au e-Centre de
Eminent
Il y a deux cas possibles lorsque vous voulez ajouter le détecteur de mouvement dans
le e-Centre de Eminent.
1. Vous ajoutez le détecteur de mouvement dans e-Centre de Eminent pendant le
processus d’installation de e-Centre. L’assistant d’installation de e-Centre va
afficher plusieurs étapes jusqu'à terminer l'installation de tous vos appareils e-
Domotica, en utilisant le site web de e-Centre “http://e-Centre”. Suivez les
instructions qui apparaissent à l'écran. Utilisez le bouton métallique à l’arrière
pendant le processus d’installation.
2. Vous ajoutez le détecteur de mouvement dans la version de e-Centre déjà
installée. Ceci est décrit dans le chapitre ‘2,3 Ajouter le détecteur de mouvement
dans une version de e-Centre déjà installée’.
2.3 Ajouter le détecteur de mouvement dans la version de
e-Centre déjà installée
1. Vérifiez que l’ordinateur est allumé et a démarré.
2. Ouvrez le navigateur web sur votre PC.

3. Entrez “http://e-Centre” dans la barre d’adresse du navigateur Web et appuyez
sur la touche ‘Entrer’ de votre clavier.
4. L’écran de démarrage de e-Centre de Eminent s’affichera.
5. Cliquez sur le bouton ‘Add’ (Ajouter), e-Centre commencera à chercher des
nouveaux appareils e-Domotica.
6. Appuyez trois fois sur le bouton noir, à l'arrière de votre nouveau détecteur de
mouvement.
7. Un message apparaîtra : ‘Product found’ (Produit détecté).
Si l’appareil n’a pas été détecté, appuyez sur le bouton ‘Reset’ (Réinitialiser) dans la
page Web de e-Centre puis appuyez sur le bouton de votre détecteur de mouvement.
Après ceci, vous pourrez voir correctement le nouvel appareil.
8. Donnez un nom au nouvel appareil qui a été connecté, le détecteur de
mouvement, et choisissez un emplacement puis cliquez sur ‘Save’ (Enregistrer).
9. Le détecteur de mouvement a maintenant été ajouté dans e-Centre.
10. Dans la plupart des situations, vous souhaitez l'activation de l'alarme par le
détecteur de mouvement, lorsqu'un mouvement est détecté. Ouvrez alors la
page Web ‘Setup alarmsensors’ (Paramétrer les capteurs d'alarme).
11. Cliquez sur l'alarme à configurer.
12. Choisissez votre détecteur de mouvement dans la liste ‘Not selected' (Non
sélectionné), puis cliquez sur la flèche vers la droite. Le détecteur de mouvement
figure maintenant dans la liste ‘Selected' (Sélectionné).
13. Cliquez sur ‘Save’ (Enregistrer).
14. Lorsque vous activerez l'alarme, le détecteur de mouvement va déclencher
l'alarme.
2.4 Choix de l'emplacement optimal pour votre détecteur
de mouvement
1. Le détecteur de mouvement ne doit pas être placé face à une fenêtre, un
ventilateur, un climatiseur, une boîte aux lettres ouverte ou un télécopieur. Les
rayons de soleil, directs ou indirects, peuvent déclencher l'alarme.
2. N'installez pas le détecteur de mouvement au-dessus d'une source de chaleur,
comme un radiateur, une chaudière ou un réchaud.
3. Installez le EM6580 dans un endroit de passage, et non dans un endroit où les
personnes marchent directement vers le détecteur de mouvement. Voir
l'illustration 1.

Lorsque vous installez le détecteur de mouvement au plafond, il faut également
installer la lentille illustrée en 2b. Enlevez l'ancienne lentille du détecteur de
mouvement, en tournant la bague de la lentille vers la gauche. En la dévissant, vous
pouvez ainsi facilement la retirer. Vérifiez si la lentille pour le montage au plafond est
munie d'un couvercle d'ombrage (figure 2c). Si c'est le cas, retirez-le. Installez la
lentille dans le détecteur de déplacement, puis tournez la bague vers la droite.
La portée de cette lentille pour le montage au plafond, est d'environ 4 mètres.
Si cela est nécessaire, vous pouvez installer le couvercle d'ombrage joint. Ce
couvercle se compose de segments de 30 degrés chacun. Vous pouvez choisir
d'ignorer des parties de la zone de détection en laissant ces segments en place dans
le couvercle d'ombrage. Le détecteur de mouvement ne va détecter les mouvements
que s'ils se trouvent dans la zone des segments enlevés.
Lorsque le couvercle d'ombrage installé comportent l'ensemble de ses 12 segments,
aucun mouvement ne peut être détecté.

2.6 Installation de la lentille pour un montage mural
1. Lorsque vous installez le détecteur de mouvement au mur, il faut également
installer la lentille illustrée en 2a. Enlevez l'ancienne lentille du détecteur de
mouvement, en tournant la bague de la lentille vers la gauche. En la dévissant,
vous pouvez ainsi facilement la retirer.
2. Installez la lentille dans le détecteur de déplacement, puis tournez la bague vers
la droite.
3. La portée de cette lentille pour le montage mural, est d'environ 7 mètres.
4. En raison de l'angle de détection, nous vous suggérons d'installer le détecteur de
mouvement à une hauteur de 1,8 mètres.
2.7 Montage du détecteur de mouvement sur un mur ou
au plafond
1. Montage du détecteur de mouvement sur un mur ou au plafond Utilisez les 2
trous de vis sous le détecteur de mouvement, ou la bande adhésive.
2. Faites glisser la partie supérieure du détecteur de mouvement sur la partie
inférieure, et serrez la vis.
3. Le voyant del du détecteur de mouvement s'allume à chaque fois qu'un
mouvement est détecté. Après chaque mouvement, le détecteur de mouvement
se met en veille pendant 3 minutes pour économiser les piles.
Vous pouvez augmenter la portée sans fil en installant un interrupteur EM6550 ou un
variateur EM6551 entre le détecteur de mouvement et le e-Centre.
Conseil : Vous trouverez plus de détails sur l'utilisation de la fonction alarme dans le
manuel de votre e-Centre de Eminent.
2.8 Enlever le détecteur de mouvement
1. Retirez la vis sous le détecteur, puis enlevez le détecteur de mouvement du mur.
2. Vérifiez que l’ordinateur est allumé.
3. Ouvrez le navigateur Web de votre ordinateur.
4. Dans la barre adresse de votre navigateur Web, saisissez : ’http://e-Centre’ et
appuyez sur la touche ‘Enter’ (Entrée).
5. L’écran de démarrage de e-Centre de Eminent s’affichera.
6. Cliquez sur le bouton ‘Remove' (Supprimer).
7. Appuyez trois fois sur le bouton noir, sous votre détecteur de mouvement.
8. L’appareil a maintenant été enlevé.
