OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these operating instructions carefully as they include valuable advice on safety and

how to use the equipment. Look after these operating instructions carefully.

WARNINGS

• For additional protection, the installation of a residual

current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating

current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the

electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your

installer for advice.

• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.

• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near

bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels

containing water.

• This appliance can be used by children from 8 years of

age and over, and by persons with limited physical,

sensory or mental abilities or who lack the relevant

experience and knowledge, if they are suitably

supervised or have been educated to use the appliance

safely and made aware of the associated risks.

• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

• Children must not perform cleaning and maintenance

procedures unless supervised.

• Only connect this unit to alternating current and check that the mains supply voltage corresponds

to that indicated on the unit.

• Always switch off the appliance after use and disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.

Do not remove the plug from the mains power socket by pulling the cable.

• Do not pull the plug out of the power supply socket when your hands are wet.

• Before switching on the appliance, always check its conditions and also control the transformer

and power cable.

• Do not use your unit if it is not working properly. Do not try to repair this electrical unit yourself,

rather contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water

presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• The elements used to pack the unit (plastic bags, cardboard box, etc.) must be kept out of reach

of children as they are a potential danger to them.

• This unit must only be used for the purposes for which it is expressly intended. Any other use

is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no

responsibility for damage caused by improper or erroneous use.

• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C. Avoid exposing the

appliance to direct and prolonged sunlight.

• Do not leave the appliance on charge in wet places and do not recharge the appliance when it

is wet.

• The appliance comes equipped with a NiMH battery. To help protect the environment, the batteries

should not be included with ordinary domestic waste, but should be taken to a special collection

point instead.

• Have the battery removed by qualified technical personnel or by the treatment and recycling centre.

• Do not expose the battery to liquid, moisture or high humidity

• Keep the battery away from magnetic fields, sources of heat and naked flames.

• Danger of scratches or cuts. Do not use a comb or a set of blades if they are damaged. Replace

them immediately, as they may cause injury.

• Take care not to scratch the skin when handling the appliance with the set of blades without combs.

The appliance can operate either using mains power or in cordless mode, as it has a re-

chargeable battery.

MAINS POWER SUPPLY

Connect the transformer the (fig.1 - reference 9) by inserting the plug into the appliance socket (fig.1 - ref.5).

Plug the transformer into the mains.

Warning: if the appliance does not work with mains power when the battery charge has run down completely,

switch it off, recharge the battery for about five minutes and then switch back on again, running on mains power.

RECHARGING THE BATTERY

• Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery for 24 hours. For subsequent charges, allow

the appliance to charge for at least 8 hours.

• Switch the appliance off using the switch (fig.1 - ref.3). The battery can only be charged with the appliance

switched off.

• Connect the transformer (fig.1 - ref.9) by inserting the plug into the appliance socket (fig.1 - ref.5). Or connect

the transformer to the base (fig.1 - ref.6) by inserting the plug into the base plug (fig.1 - ref.7), then sit the

appliance on the base.

• Plug the transformer into the mains.

• During charging the led (fig.1 - ref.4) lights up to indicate charging in progress.

• Only recharge the battery when you note a clear reduction in appliance power.

• When the battery is fully charged, the appliance can be used for 60 minutes without connection to the mains.

REMOVING AND ADJUSTING THE COMB ATTACHMENT

• To adjust the cutting length, slide the comb as illustrated in figure 2: move it in the direction of arrow A to

increase the cutting length, or in the direction of arrow B to decrease the cutting length.

• To remove the comb, move it in the direction of arrow A until it slides off the appliance completely

CHANGING BLADES

• Switch the appliance off.

• To remove a blade, push to release from the seat as shown in (fig.3).

• To refit a blade, follow the instructions in (fig.4): first insert the rear section in the seat (A), then push the front

to secure in place (B).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The cleaning and maintenance procedure must be carried out after every use.

• All maintenance or blade change operations must be carried out with the appliance switched OFF and removed

from the mains adapter.

• Never immerse the appliance in water!

• After every use, remove the guide comb then use the small brush to eliminate any hair from the cutting head

and its seat.

• Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth (slightly damp if necessary). Never use solvents or abrasive

detergents!

• Remove the cutting head (fig.5) and evenly oil the blades and the seat of the motor pin which is located on

the inside.

• If after prolonged use, and despite regular cleaning and lubrication, the cutting ability of the appliance appears

to be diminished, the cutting head must be replaced.

• Once the appliance has been cleaned, the guide comb can be fitted back in place since it also helps to protect

the blade.

• Do not oil the ceramic blade set.

DISPOSAL

• Dispose of the appliance in accordance with all regulations governing waste disposal and the safeguarding

of the environment.

This appliance conforms to European Directives 2004/108/EC, 2009/125/EC, 2006/95/EC

and Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009.

GUARANTEE

VALERA guarantees the appliance you have bought at following conditions:

1. The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined by our dealer in the country of sale. In Switzerland

and in the countries subject to the European directive 44/99/CE the guarantee period is 24 months for domestic

use and 12 months for professional or similar use. The guarantee period starts from the date of purchase as

stated on the present guarantee card regularly filled out and stamped by the dealer or on the sale’s invoice.

2. The guarantee is applicable only against submission of the present guarantee card or the sale’s invoice.

3. The guarantee covers the elimination of all defects arisen during the guarantee period resulting from proven

faults in material or workmanship. The elimination of the defects will be made either by repairing the appliance

or exchanging it. The guarantee does not cover any damage arising from incorrect connection to the power

supply, improper use, breakage, normal wear and non-compliance with the Instructions for Use.

4. All other claims of any nature, including those for eventual damages outside of the appliance, are excluded,

unless our liability is legally mandatory.

5. The guarantee service is carried out free of charge; it does not affect the expiry date of the guarantee.

6. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons.

For UK only: this guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law.

In case of defect, please return the appliance well packed and together with the guarantee card regularly dated

and stamped to one of our Valera Service Centres or to the dealer who will send it to the official importer for the

guarantee service.

• Gefahr von Schnitten oder Kratzern. Ein beschädigter Kamm oder Klingensatz darf auf keinen Fall

weiter verwendet, sondern muss sofort ausgewechselt werden.

• Wird das Gerät mit dem Klingensatz ohne Aufsteckkämme benutzt, ist sorgfältig darauf zu achten,

dass die Haut nicht verletzt wird.

Das Gerät ist mit einem Akku ausgestattet und kann daher sowohl mit Netzstrom als

auch kabellos benutzt werden.

NETZBETRIEB

Den Transformator (Abb. 1 - Pos. 9) anschließen, indem der Stecker in die entsprechende Gerätebuchse gesteckt

wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 5).

Den Transformator an die Steckdose anschließen.

Hinweis: Falls das Gerät bei vollständig entladener Batterie nicht mit Netzversorgung funktionieren sollte, das Gerät

ausschalten, die Batterie ca. fünf Minuten aufladen und das am Netz angeschlossene Gerät wieder einschalten.

AUFLADEN DER BATTERIE

• Vor dem Erstgebrauch des Gerätes muss die Batterie 24 Stunden lang aufgeladen werden. Alle weiteren Male

das Gerät mindestens 8 Stunden aufladen.

• Das Gerät über den Schalter (Abb. 1 - Pos. 3) ausschalten. Das Aufladen der Batterie ist nur bei

ausgeschaltetem Gerät möglich.

• Den Transformator (Abb. 1 - Pos. 9) anschließen, indem der Stecker in die entsprechende Gerätebuchse

gesteckt wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 5).

Oder den Transformator an die Ladestation anschließen (Abb. 1 - Pos. 6), indem der Stecker in die Buchse

der Ladestation gesteckt wird (Abb. 1 - Pos. 7) und das Gerät auf die Ladestation stellen.

• Den Transformator an die Steckdose anschließen.

• Während des Ladevorganges schaltet sich die Ladekontrollleuchte ein (Abb. 1 - Pos. 4).

• Die Batterie nur aufladen, wenn die Geräteleistung merklich abnimmt.

• Mit vollständig aufgeladener Batterie kann das Gerät 60 Minuten ohne Netzversorgung betrieben werden.

ABNEHMEN UND EINSTELLEN DES DISTANZKAMMS

• Zur Einstellung der Schnittlänge den Kamm wie in Abb. 2 gezeigt in Pfeilrichtung A oder B verschieben, um

sie entsprechend zu verlängern bzw. zu verkürzen.

• Zum Abnehmen den Kamm in Pfeilrichtung A vom Gerät abziehen.

KLINGENWECHSEL

• Das Gerät ausschalten.

• Zum Abnehmen der Klingen diese wie in Abb. 3 gezeigt von unten aus ihrem Sitz herausdrücken.

• Zum Wiedereinsetzen wie in Abb. 4 gezeigt vorgehen; zuerst den hinteren Teil einsetzen (A), danach den

vorderen Teil zum Schließen eindrücken (B).

REINIGUNG UND WARTUNG

Reinigung und Wartung sind nach jedem Gebrauch durchzuführen.

• Wartungs- und Austauscharbeiten jeder Art stets nur bei AUSGESCHALTETEM und vom Akku-Ladegerät

getrennten Gerät ausführen.

• Das Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen!

Das Symbol auf dem Produkt oder seiner Verpackung weist darauf hin, dass dieses Produkt nicht als

• Nach jedem Gebrauch den Führungskamm abnehmen und Haarreste vom Schneidkopf und seinem Sitz mit

dem Bürstchen entfernen.

• Das Gerätegehäuse mit einem weichen, eventuell leicht feuchten Tuch reinigen. Keinesfalls Lösemittel oder

Scheuermittel verwenden!

• Den Schneidkopf (Abb. 5) abnehmen und die Klingen und den Sitz des innenliegenden Motorzapfens

regelmäßig ölen.Falls nach längerem Gebrauch und trotz ordnungsgemäßer Reinigung und Ölung die

Schneidleistung des Gerätes nachlässt, muss der Schneidkopf ersetzt werden.

• Der Führungskamm kann nach Gebrauch und Reinigung des Gerätes wieder auf den Schneidkopf aufgesetzt

werden, da er auch eine Schutzfunktion hat.

• Der Keramikklingensatz braucht nicht geölt zu werden.

ENTSORGUNG

• Das Gerät muss entsprechend den Umweltschutzvorschriften entsorgt werden.

Dieses Gerät erfüllt die Bestimmungen der europäischen Richtlinien 2004/108/EG, 2009/125/EG,

2006/95/EG und der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 278/2009.

GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN

VALERA leistet für dieses Gerät – zusätzlich zu der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung des Händlers aus

Kaufvertrag - dem Endabnehmer gegenüber eine Garantie zu nachstehenden Bedingungen:

1. Für dieses Gerät gelten die Garantiebedingungen unseres Händlers im Verkaufsland. In der Schweiz und

in den Ländern, wo die europäische Verordnung 44/99/CE gilt, beträgt die Garantiezeit 24 Monate bei

privatem Gebrauch und 12 Monate bei gewerblichem oder einem solchen gleichzusetzenden Gebrauch.

Die Garantiezeit beginnt am Kauftag des Gerätes, der durch die ausgefüllte Garantiekarte oder einen

sonstigen Kaufbeleg nachzuweisen ist.

2. Die Garantie wird nur bei Vorlage der Garantiekarte oder eines Kaufbeleges geleistet.

3. Die Garantieleistung umfasst die Behebung aller innerhalb der Garantiezeit auftretenden Mängel des

Gerätes, die nachweislich auf Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern beruhen. Die Behebung der Mängel kann

nach unserer Wahl durch Instandsetzung oder durch Umtausch des Gerätes erfolgen. Nicht unter Garantie

fallen Mängel oder Schäden, die durch nicht vorschriftsmässigen elektrischen Anschluss, durch

unsachgemässe Handhabung sowie durch

Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanleitung entstanden sind.

4. Weitere Ansprüche irgendwelcher Art, insbesondere solche auf Ersatz ausserhalb des Gerätes

entstandener Schäden, sind - soweit die Haftung nicht zwingend gesetzlich angeordnet ist -

ausgeschlossen.

5. Die Garantieleistungen werden ohne Berechnung durchgeführt; sie bewirken weder eine Verlängerung

noch einen Neubeginn der Garantiezeit.

6. Diese Garantie erlischt bei Eingriff nicht autorisierter Stellen.

Sollten Sie die Garantie in Anspruch nehmen müssen, dann senden Sie bitte das defekte Gerät gut verpackt

an eine unserer autorisierten Service-Stellen. Vergessen Sie nicht, unbedingt die Garantiekarte und/oder

den Kaufbeleg beizufügen, da ohne diese keine Garantieleistung erfolgen kann.

remplacé par le fabricant, son service d’assistance technique ou par une personne ayant une

• En cas d’utilisation de l’appareil dans une salle de bains, débranchez-le après utilisation car la

présence d’eau dans la même pièce pourrait être dangereux, même si l’appareil est éteint.

• La tondeuse est dotée d'une batterie NiMH. Pour le respect de l'environnement, il est conseillé il est

recommandé d’amener les piles usagées dans un centre de tri prévu à cet effet. Jeter les piles dans

la poubelle est déconseillé.

• Demander à des techniciens qualifiés de déposer la batterie ou s’adresser à un centre de

récupération.

• Ne laissez pas la batterie dans un endroit humide ou en contact avec des substances liquides

• Tenez la batterie à l’écart de champs magnétiques, sources de chaleur et flammes libres.

• Risque de se griffer ou de se couper. Si un peigne ou un kit de lames est endommagé, ne pas

l'utiliser mais le remplacer immédiatement.

• Prenez soin de ne pas griffer la peau en utilisant l’appareil avec les kits de lames sans peigne.

L’appareil peut fonctionner tant en alimentation de secteur qu’en modalité cordless

(sans cordon) car il est équipé d’une batterie rechargeable.

ALIMENTATION SUR SECTEUR

Branchez le transformateur (fig.1 - rep.9) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de l'appareil (fig.1 - rep.5).

Branchez le transformateur à la prise de courant.

Avertissement : la batterie étant complètement à plat, si la tondeuse ne fonctionne pas avec l'alimentation

secteur, éteignez la tondeuse, chargez la batterie pendant environ 5 minutes et rallumez la tondeuse branchée

au secteur.

RECHARGE DE LA BATTERIE

• Avant d'utiliser la tondeuse pour la première fois, chargez impérativement la batterie pendant 24 heures.

Pour les autres occurrences, laissez la tondeuse en charge pendant au moins 8 heures.

• Éteignez la tondeuse avec l'interrupteur (fig.1 - rep.3). La recharge de la batterie ne peut s'effectuer que

tondeuse éteinte.

• Branchez le transformateur (fig.1 - rep.9) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de l'appareil (fig.1 - rep.5) ou

bien branchez le transformateur avec la base (fig.1 - rep.6) en insérant la fiche dans la prise de la base

(fig.1 - rep.7) et posez la tondeuse dans la base.

• Branchez le transformateur à la prise de courant.

• Pendant cette opération, le témoin de charge en cours (fig.1 - rep.4) s'allume.

• Ne rechargez la batterie que si vous constatez une franche diminution de la puissance de coupe.

• Avec la batterie totalement rechargée, vous pouvez utiliser la tondeuse pendant 60 minutes sans

alimentation secteur.

DÉMONTAGE ET RÉGLAGE DU PEIGNE DE COUPE AJUSTABLE

• Pour régler la hauteur de coupe, faites glisser le peigne comme indiqué sur la figure 2 : dans le sens de

la flèche A elle augmente, dans celui de la flèche B elle diminue.

• Pour ôter le peigne, faites-le glisser dans le sens de la flèche A jusqu’à ce qu’il sorte de la tondeuse

CHANGEMENT DES LAMES

• Éteignez la tondeuse.

• Pour déposer les lames, sortez-les de leur logement par le dessous comme indiqué en (fig.3).

• Pour reposer les lames, suivez les instructions en (fig.4) : insérez d'abord la partie postérieure dans le

logement (A), puis poussez la partie antérieure pour terminer la mise en place (B).

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Effectuez le nettoyage et l'entretien après chaque utilisation.

• Avant d'entreprendre une opération d'entretien ou de remplacement, assurez-vous que la tondeuse est

ÉTEINTE et débranchée du transformateur.

• Ne plongez pas la tondeuse dans l'eau !

• Après l'utilisation, retirez le peigne-guide et débarrassez les cheveux de la tête de coupe et de son

logement avec la brossette de nettoyage.

• Nettoyez le corps de la tondeuse avec un chiffon souple, éventuellement humide. N'utilisez en aucun cas

des solvants ou détergents abrasifs !

• Déposez la tête de coupe (fig.5) et huilez régulièrement les lames et le logement de l'axe moteur situé sur

le côté interne.

• Si le rendement de coupe tend à diminuer après un usage prolongé et malgré un nettoyage et une

lubrification réguliers, remplacez la tête de coupe.

• Le peigne-guide peut être remis en place après l'utilisation et le nettoyage de la tondeuse car il a aussi

pour fonction de protéger la lame.

• Le jeu de lames en céramique ne nécessite pas de lubrification.

ÉLIMINATION

• L'élimination de la tondeuse se fera selon la loi antipollution.

GARANTIE

VALERA garantit l’appareil que vous venez d’acheter aux conditions suivantes:

1. Les conditions de garantie applicables sont celles qui sont définies par notre distributeur officiel dans le

pays d'achat. En Suisse et dans les pays où la directive européenne 44/99/CE est en vigueur, la période

couverte par la garantie est de 24 mois pour un usage domestique et de 12 mois pour un usage

professionnel ou assimilé. La période de garantie commence à courir à compter de la date d'achat de

’l'appareil. La date d'achat est la date qui figure sur le présent certificat de garantie dûment rempli et

portant de cachet du vendeur ou sur la facture d'achat.

2. La garantie n’est applicable que sous présentation de ce certificat de garantie ou du document d’achat.

3. La garantie couvre l’élimination de tous les défauts s’étant vérifiés lors de la période de garantie dérivant

de défauts de matériaux ou de fabrication prouvés. L’élimination des défauts de l’appareil peut s’effectuer

soit en le réparant soit en le remplaçant. La garantie ne couvre pas les défauts ni les dommages provoqués

par un branchement au réseau électrique non conforme aux normes, par un usage incorrect du produit

et par le non-respect des Normes d’Utilisation.

4. Toute autre revendication, de quelque nature que ce soit, est exclue, en particulier celle concernant le

remboursement d’éventuels dommages en dehors de l’appareil, à l’exception de l’éventuelle responsabilité

expressément définie par les lois en vigueur.

5. Le service de garantie est réalisé gratuitement. Il ne représente pas une prolongation ni un nouveau départ

de la période de garantie.

6. La garantie échoit si l’appareil est altéré ou réparé par des personnes non autorisées.

En cas de panne, renvoyer l’appareil correctement emballé avec le certificat de garantie correctement daté

et timbré par le vendeur à l’un de nos Centres d’Assistance agréés ou au magasin d’achat qui l’enverra à

l’importateur officiel pour la réparation sous garantie.

Le symbole sur le produit ou son emballage indique que ce produit ne peut être traité comme déchet

ménager. Il doit être remis au point de collecte prèvu à cet effet (collecte et recyclage du matériel électrique et

électronique). En procédant à la mise à la casse réglementaire de l’appareil, nous préservons l’environnement

et notre sécurité, s’assurant ainsi que le déchets seront traités dans des conditions appropriées. Pour obtenir

deve essere sostituito dal costruttore o dal suo servizio assistenza tecnica o comunque da una

persona con qualifica similare, in modo da prevenire ogni rischio.

• Quando l'apparecchio è usato in un bagno, scollegarlo dall'alimentazione elettrica dopo l'uso, perché

la vicinanza all'acqua rappresenta un pericolo anche quando l'apparecchio è spento.

• Gli elementi che costituiscono l’imballo dell’apparecchio (sacchetti di plastica, scatola di cartone,

• Non esporre l’apparecchio a temperature inferiori a 0°C o superiori a 40°C. Evitare l’esposizione

diretta e prolungata ai raggi solari.

• Non tenere in ricarica l’apparecchio in ambienti umidi e non mettere l’apparecchio bagnato in ricarica.

• L’apparecchio è munito di una batteria NiMH. Nel rispetto dell’ambiente, raccomandiamo di non

smaltire le batterie esauste nei rifiuti domestici, ma di consegnarle ad un apposito centro di raccolta.

• Far rimuovere la batteria da personale tecnico qualificato o dal centro di trattamento/recupero.

• Non esporre la batteria ad eccessiva umidità o al contatto con sostanze liquide.

• Tenere la batteria a debita distanza da campi magnetici, fonti di calore e fiamme libere.

• Pericolo di graffi o tagli. Se un pettine o un set di lame è danneggiato non utilizzarlo ma sostituirlo

immediatamente.

• Prestare attenzione a non graffiare la pelle se si utilizza l’apparecchio con i set di lame senza pettini.

L’apparecchio può funzionare sia con alimentazione di rete che in modalità cordless

(senza cavo) perché dotato di batteria ricaricabile.

ALIMENTAZIONE DI RETE

Collegare il trasformatore (fig.1 - riferimento 9) infilando la spina nella relativa presa dell’apparecchio (fig.1 - rif.5).

Collegare il trasformatore alla presa di corrente.

Avvertenza: se l’apparecchio, a batteria completamente scarica, non dovesse funzionare con l’alimentazione dalla

rete, spegnere l’apparecchio, caricare la batteria per cinque minuti circa e riaccendere l’apparecchio collegato

alla rete.

RICARICA DELLA BATTERIA

• Prima di utilizzare l’apparecchio per la prima volta è necessario caricare la batteria per 24 ore. Le volte

successive lasciare l’apparecchio in carica almeno 8 ore.

• Spegnere l’apparecchio con l’interruttore (fig.1 - rif.3). La ricarica della batteria è possibile solo ad apparecchio

spento.

• Collegare il trasformatore (fig.1 - rif.9) infilando la spina nella relativa presa dell’apparecchio (fig.1 - rif.5).

Oppure collegare il trasformatore con la base (fig.1 - rif.6) infilando la spina nella presa della base (fig.1 - rif.7)

e appoggiarvi l’apparecchio.

• Collegare il trasformatore alla presa di corrente.

• Durante questa operazione si accende la spia (fig.1 - rif.4) che indica appunto la ricarica in corso.

• Ricaricare la batteria solo quando si nota una netta diminuzione di potenza dell’apparecchio.

• A batteria completamente carica, l’apparecchio può essere usato per 60 minuti senza collegamento alla rete

elettrica.

SMONTAGGIO E REGOLAZIONE DEL PETTINE DISTANZIATORE

• Per regolare l’altezza di taglio far scorrere il pettine come mostrato nella figura 2: nel senso della freccia A

aumenta, in quello della freccia B diminuisce.

• Per togliere il pettine, farlo scorrere nel senso della freccia A fino a che non si staccherà dall’apparecchio

SMONTAGGIO DELLE LAME

• Spegnere l’apparecchio.

• Per rimuovere le lame, spingerle fuori dalla sede dal di sotto come indicato in (fig.3).

• Per rimontare le lame, seguire le indicazioni in (fig.4): inserire prima la parte posteriore nella sede (A), quindi

spingere la parte anteriore per chiudere (B).

PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE

Eseguire la pulizia e la manutenzione dopo ogni utilizzo.

• Qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o sostituzione va eseguita ad apparecchio SPENTO e scollegato

dall’alimentatore.

• Non immergere l’apparecchio in acqua!

• Dopo ogni uso, togliere il pettine guida ed eliminare con lo spazzolino i resti di capelli dalla testa di taglio e

dalla sua sede.

• Pulire il corpo dell’apparecchio con un panno morbido, eventualmente leggermente umido. Non utilizzare

in nessun caso solventi o detergenti abrasivi!

• Rimuovere la testa di taglio (fig. 5) e oliare regolarmente le lame e la sede del perno motore situato sul

lato interno.

• Se dopo un uso prolungato e malgrado regolare pulizia e lubrificazione, la resa di taglio dell’apparecchio

tende a ridursi, sarà necessario sostituire la testa di taglio.

• Il pettine guida, dopo l’uso e la pulizia dell’apparecchio, può essere riapplicato poiché ha anche una

funzione di protezione della lama.

SMALTIMENTO

• L’apparecchio andrà smaltito nel rispetto delle norme di tutela dell’ambiente.

Questo apparecchio è conforme alle direttive europee 2004/108/CE, 2009/125/CE,

GARANZIA

VALERA garantisce l’apparecchio da Voi acquistato alle seguenti condizioni:

1. Sono valide le condizioni di garanzia stabilite dal nostro distributore ufficiale nel paese di acquisto. In Svizzera

e nei paesi dove è in vigore la direttiva europea 44/99/CE il periodo di garanzia è di 24 mesi per un uso

domestico e di 12 mesi per un uso professionale o analogo. Il periodo di garanzia parte dalla data di acquisto

dell’apparecchio. Come data di acquisto fa stato la data risultante o dal presente certificato di garanzia

debitamente compilato e timbrato dal venditore o dal documento di acquisto.

2. La garanzia è applicabile solo dietro presentazione del presente certificato di garanzia o del documento di

acquisto.

3. La garanzia copre l’eliminazione di tutti quei difetti insorti durante il periodo di garanzia dovuti a comprovati

difetti di materiali o di fabbricazione. L’eliminazione dei difetti dell’apparecchio può avvenire o riparandolo o

sostituendo il prodotto stesso. La garanzia non copre difetti o danni causati da allacciamento alla rete elettrica

non conforme alle norme, da uso improprio del prodotto come anche da non osservanza delle Norme d’Uso.

4. È esclusa ogni altra rivendicazione di qualsiasi natura, in particolare di risarcimento di eventuali danni al di

fuori dell’apparecchio, eccettuata la eventuale responsabilità espressamente stabilita dalle leggi vigenti.

5. Il servizio di garanzia viene eseguito senza addebito; esso non costituisce un prolungamento o un nuovo

inizio del periodo di garanzia.

6. La garanzia decade se l’apparecchio viene manomesso o riparato da persone non autorizzate.

In caso di guasto, ritornate l’apparecchio ben imballato e con il certificato di garanzia regolarmente datato e

timbrato dal venditore a uno dei nostri Centri Assistenza autorizzati o al Vostro negoziante che provvederà a

inviarlo all’importatore ufficiale per la riparazione in garanzia.

Il simbolo sul prodotto o sulla confezione indica che il prodotto non deve essere considerato come un

normale rifiuto domestico, ma deve essere portato nel punto di raccolta appropriato per il riciclaggio di

apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche. Provvedendo a smaltire questo prodotto in modo appropriato, si

ADVERTENCIAS

El aparato se puede utilizar conectado a la red de alimentación eléctrica o en modalidad

inalámbrica con batería recargable.

ALIMENTACIÓN DE RED

Conectar el transformador (fig. 1 - referencia 9), introduciendo el enchufe en la correspondiente toma del aparato

(fig. 1 - ref. 5).

Conectar el transformador a la toma de corriente.

Advertencia. En caso de que el aparato, con batería completamente descargada, no funcione con alimentación

de red, apagarlo, cargar la batería durante cinco minutos y reencenderlo conectado a la red.

CARGA DE LA BATERÍA

• Antes de utilizar el aparato por primera vez es necesario cargar la batería durante veinticuatro horas.

Sucesivamente, el aparato deberá ser cargado al menos durante 8 horas.

• Apagar el aparato mediante el interruptor (fig. 1 - ref. 3). La batería puede ser cargada sólo con aparato

apagado.

• Conectar el transformador (fig. 1 - ref. 9) introduciendo el enchufe en la respectiva toma del aparato mismo

(fig. 1 - ref. 5). Alternativamente, conectar el transformador con la base (fig. 1 - ref. 6) introduciendo el

enchufe en la toma de la base (fig. 1 - ref. 7) y colocando en ella el aparato.

• Conectar el transformador a la toma de corriente.

• Durante esta operación permanece encendido el testigo (fig. 1 - ref. 4) que indica que la batería se está

cargando.

• Recargar la batería sólo al observar una evidente reducción de potencia del aparato.

• Con batería completamente cargada, el aparato podrá ser utilizado durante 60 minutos sin conexión a la red

eléctrica.

DESMONTAJE Y REGULACIÓN DEL PEINE CON DISTANCIADOR

• Para regular la altura del corte, deslice el peine como se muestra en la figura 2: en el sentido de la flecha A

aumenta, en el sentido de la flecha B disminuye.

• Para quitar el peine, deslícelo en el sentido de la flecha A hasta que se desenganche del aparato.

CAMBIO DE LAS CUCHILLAS

• Apagar el aparato.

• Para retirar las cuchillas empujarlas sacándolas de sus asientos por debajo, tal como se ilustra en (fig. 3).

• Para reinstalar las cuchillas aplicar las instrucciones de (fig. 4): introducir en primer lugar la parte trasera en

el asiento (A) y a continuación empujar la parte delantera para cerrar (B).

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO

Se deberá efectuar limpieza y mantenimiento después de cada uso.

• Todas las operaciones de mantenimiento o sustitución deben efectuarse con aparato APAGADO y

desconectado del transformador.

• No sumergir el aparato en agua!

• Después de cada uso, desmontar el peine guía y eliminar con el cepillo los restos de cabellos presentes en

el cabezal de corte y en el respectivo asiento del cabezal mismo.

• Limpiar el cuerpo del aparato con un paño suave que puede estar ligeramente húmedo. ¡No utilizar en ningún

• Desmontar el cabezal de corte (fig.5) y lubricar regularmente las cuchillas y el asiento del perno motor situado

en la parte interna.

• Si después de un uso prolongado, no obstante efectuar limpieza y lubricación periódicas, el rendimiento de

corte del aparato tiende a reducirse, será necesario sustituir el cabezal de corte.

• El peine guía después del uso y limpieza del aparato puede ser reinstalado ya que cumple una función de

protección de la cuchilla.

• El juego de cuchillas en cerámica no necesita lubricación.

DESGUACE

• El aparato deberá ser desguazado respetándose lo establecido por las normas sobre protección ambiental.

Este aparato es conforme a las directivas europeas 2004/108/CE, 2009/125/CE, 2006/95/CE

y al reglamento (CE) N. 278/2009.

GARANTÍA

VALERA garantiza el aparato que Ud. ha comprado bajo las siguientes condiciones:

1. Son válidas las condiciones de garantía establecidas por nuestro distribuidor oficial en el país de compra. En

Suiza y en los países en los que está en vigor la directiva europea 44/99/CE, el periodo de garatía es de 24

meses para uso doméstico y de 12 meses para uso profesional o análogo. El periodo de garantía inicia a partir

de la fecha de compra del equipo. Como fecha de compra se entiende la fecha del certificado de garantía

debidamente rellenado y sellado o la fecha del documento de compra.

2. La garantía se aplica únicamente presentando este certificado de garantía o el documento de compra.

3. La garantía cubre la eliminación de todos aquellos defectos que han surgido durante el período de vigencia

de la garantía, ocasionados por defectos comprobados de materiales o de fabricación. Los defectos del

aparato se pueden eliminar efectuando la reparación o sustituyendo el producto. La garantía no cubre defectos

o daños causados por la conexión a la red eléctrica no conforme con las normas, por el uso impropio del

producto o por la inobservancia de las Normas de Uso.

4. No se incluye ningún otro tipo de reivindicación, en particular indemnizaciones de posibles daños que no

formen parte del aparato, con excepción de la eventual responsabilidad establecida expresamente por las

leyes vigentes.

5. El servicio de garantía se efectúa sin cargo y no constituye un prolongamiento o un nuevo inicio del período

de garantía.

6. La garantía decae si el aparato se ha alterado, ha sido reparado por personas no autorizadas.

En caso de avería, se debe entregar el aparato bien embalado y con el certificado de garantía regularmente

fechado y sellado por el vendedor, a uno de nuestros Centros de Asistencia autorizados o al vendedor, quien se

encargará de remitirlo al importador oficial para efectuar la reparación de la garantía.

Como consumidor de este artículo, goza Vd. de los derechos que le reconoce la Ley de Garantías en la Venta

de Bienes de Consumo 23/2003 (B.O.E. 11-07-03), en las condiciones que la misma establece. Recuerde que

la fecha acreditada mediante el documento de compra, inicia el período de dos años previsto en la Ley.

WAARSCHUWINGEN

•Belangrijk: voor extra veiligheid raden wij u aan de

elektrische installatie waarmee het apparaat gevoed

wordt te voorzien van een aardlekschakelaar met een

stroomsterkte van niet meer dan 30 mA. Wendt u voor

meer informatie tot uw elektrotechnicus.

•Controleer voor gebruik van het apparaat of het goed

droog is.

•LET OP: gebruik dit apparaat niet in de buurt van

badkuipen, wastafels of andere houders met water.

• Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8

jaar en door personen met beperkte lichamelijke,

zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of met weinig

ervaring en/of kennis, mits deze personen onder passend

toezicht staan of geïnstrueerd zijn over het gebruik van

het apparaat en ze zich bewust zijn van de bijbehorende

gevaren.

• Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat spelen.

•De reiniging en het onderhoud mogen niet zonder

• Haal de stekker niet met natte handen uit het stopcontact.

• Controleer altijd de staat, de voedingseenheid en het netsnoer van het apparaat, voordat u het

inschakelt.

• Gebruik uw apparaat niet als deze niet goed functioneert. Probeer het elektrische apparaat niet zelf

te repareren, maar wend u tot een erkende technicus. Als het netsnoer beschadigd is, moet het

worden vervangen door de fabrikant, de onderhoudsdienst of in elk geval door een persoon met

een vergelijkbare kwalificatie om elk risico uit te sluiten.

• Als het toestel in een badkamer wordt gebruikt, moet na gebruik de stekker uit het stopcontact

worden genomen, aangezien de aanwezigheid van water altijd gevaar oplevert, zelfs wanneer het

toestel is uitgeschakeld.

• Houd de verpakkingsmaterialen (plastic zakjes, kartonnen doos, enz.) buiten het bereik van kinderen

omdat ze een mogelijke bron van gevaar vormen.

• Dit apparaat mag uitsluitend gebruikt worden voor de doeleinden waarvoor het uitdrukkelijk is

ontworpen. Ieder ander gebruik is oneigenlijk, en dus gevaarlijk. De fabrikant is niet aansprakelijk voor

eventuele schade die veroorzaakt wordt door oneigenlijk of onjuist gebruik.

• Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan temperaturen beneden 0°C of boven 40°C. Voorkom dat het apparaat

langere tijd aan direct zonlicht wordt blootgesteld.

• Laad het apparaat niet op in vochtige ruimtes of terwijl het nat is.

• Het apparaat is uitgerust met een NiMH batterij. Om het milieu te beschermen bevelen wij aan om

de lege batterijen niet bij het huisvuil te gooien, maar bij een speciaal verzamelcentrum in te leveren.

• Laat de batterij door gekwalificeerd technisch personeel of door een verwerkings- of recyclecentrum

verwijderen.

• Stel de batterij niet bloot aan vocht en laat hem niet in contact komen met vloeistoffen

• Houd de batterij op voldoende afstand van magnetische velden, warmtebronnen en open vuur.

• Gevaar voor schrammen of sneetjes. Wanneer een kam of een messenset beschadigd is, deze niet

langer gebruiken en onmiddellijk vervangen.

• Wanneer het apparaat met de messenset en zonder de kammen wordt gebruikt, goed opletten dat

er geen schrammen op de huid komen.

Het apparaat kan rechtstreeks op de netvoeding werken, maar ook als cordless (zonder

snoer), omdat het voorzien is van een oplaadbare batterij.

NETVOEDING

Verbind de transformator met het apparaat (fig.1 - ref.9) door de stekker in het daarvoor bestemde aansluitpunt

van het apparaat te steken (fig.1 - ref.5).

Steek de stekker van de transformator in het stopcontact.

Waarschuwing: indien bij een volstrekt lege batterij het apparaat ook niet op netvoeding wil werken, het apparaat

uitschakelen, de batterij ongeveer vijf minuten opladen en na aansluiting op het elektriciteitsnet het apparaat

weer inschakelen.

OPLADEN VAN DE BATTERIJ

• Voor het allereerste gebruik moet de batterij 24 uur worden opgeladen. De daaropvolgende keren moet het

apparaat minstens 8 uur worden opgeladen.

• Schakel het apparaat met behulp van de schakelaar (fig.1 - ref.3) uit.

De batterij kan alleen worden opgeladen wanneer het apparaat is uitgeschakeld.

• Verbind de transformator (fig.1 - ref.9) met het apparaat door de connector in het daarvoor bestemde

aansluitpunt van het apparaat te steken (fig.1 - ref.5).

Of sluit de transformator op de basis aan (fig.1 - ref.6) door de connector in het aansluitpunt van de basis te

steken (fig.1 - ref.7) en het apparaat daarop te plaatsen.

• Steek de stekker van de transformator in het stopcontact.

• Tijdens deze handeling gaat het controlelampje branden (fig.1 - ref.4) wat aangeeft dat er opgeladen wordt.

• Laad de batterij alleen op wanneer duidelijk is gebleken dat de capaciteit van het apparaat verminderd is.

• Bij een volledig opgeladen batterij is het apparaat in staat om 60 minuten zonder netvoeding te functioneren.

DEMONTAGE EN AFSTELLING VAN DE KAM

• Om de snijhoogte af te stellen moet u de kam laten lopen zoals aanegeven in figuur 2: in de richting van pijl

A neemt de hoogte toe, in die van pijl B neemt ze af

• Om de kam te verwijderen schuift u hem in de richting van pijl A tot hij los laat van de trimmer

DEMONTAGE VAN MESSEN

• Het apparaat uitschakelen.

• Om de messen te verwijderen, deze van onderen af uit hun behuizing duwen, zoals in fig.3 is aangegeven.

• Om de messen weer te monteren, de aanwijzingen in fig. 4 opvolgen: steek het onderste gedeelte in de

behuizing (A) en duw vervolgens op het voorste gedeelte om het apparaat te kunnen sluiten (B).

REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD

Na ieder gebruik reinigen en onderhoud uitvoeren.

• Tijdens alle onderhouds- of vervangingswerkzaamheden moet het apparaat UITGESCHAKELD en van de

oplader afgekoppeld zijn.

• Het apparaat niet in water onderdompelen!

Het symbool op het product of op de verpakking wijst erop dat dit product niet als huisafval mag worden

behandeld. Het moet echter naar een plaats worden gebracht waar elektrische en elektronische apparatuur wordt

gerecycled. Als u ervoor zorgt dat dit product op de correcte manier wordt verwijderd, voorkomt u mogelijk voor

mens en milieu negatieve gevolgen die zich zouden kunnen voordoen in geval van verkeerde afvalbehandeling.

Voor meer details in verband met het recyclen van dit product, neemt u het best contact op met de gemeentelijke

instanties, het bedrijf of de dienst belast met het verwijderen van huishoudafval of de winkel waar u het product

hebt gekocht.

• Na ieder gebruik de opzetkam demonteren en met het reinigingsborsteltje de haarresten van de snijkop en uit

zijn behuizing verwijderen.

• De behuizing van het apparaat met een zachte en eventueel licht vochtige doek reinigen. Nooit oplosmiddelen

of schuurmiddelen gebruiken.

• De snijkop verwijderen (fig.5) en de zitting van de motorpin aan de binnenkant regelmatig smeren.

• Indien na langdurig gebruik en ondanks het regelmatig reinigen en smeren van het apparaat, het knipresultaat

toch langzamerhand afneemt, is het nodig om de snijkop te vervangen.

• De opzetkam kan na gebruik en reiniging van het apparaat opnieuw aangebracht worden omdat deze de

functie heeft de messen te beschermen.

• De messenset van keramiek hoeft niet te worden gesmeerd.

AFDANKEN

• Het apparaat moet volgens de geldende milieuvoorschriften worden afgedankt.

Dit apparaat voldoet aan de Europese richtlijnen 2004/108/EG, 2009/125/EG, 2006/95/EG

en aan de verordening (EG) nr. 278/2009.

GARANTIE

Valera biedt volgende garantievoorwaarden:

1 Van toepassing zijn de garantievoorwaarden die door onze officiële distributeur in het land van aankoop zijn

vastgesteld. In Zwitserland en in de landen waar de Europese richtlijn 44/99/CE van kracht is, geldt een

3. De garantie dekt het verwijderen van bewezen materiaal- of fabricagefouten, tijdens de garantieperiode. Dit

kan gebeuren door reparatie of vervanging van het toestel. De garantie is niet van toepassing in geval van

schade door aansluiting op een netwerk dat niet aan de officiële normen voldoet, noch in geval van niet

naleven van de gebruiksaanwijzing.

4. Elke andere schadeclaim van welke aard dan ook is uitgesloten, in het bijzonder terugbetaling van schade

veroorzaakt door externe factoren, buiten degenen die uitdrukkelijk bepaald zijn door de van kracht zijnde

wetgeving.

5. De garantie-service is gratis. Deze vertegenwoordigt geen enkele verlenging noch vernieuwing van de garantie

periode.

6. De garantie vervalt indien het toestel vervalst is of gerepareerd werd door een niet erkende persoon.

In geval van defect, gelieve het toestel behoorlijk verpakt, samen met het garantiebewijs (gedateerd en voorzien

van de stempel van de verkoper) terug te sturen naar één van de officiële Service Centra, of te bezorgen aan de

winkel waar het toestel werd aangekocht. Zij zullen het nodige doen om uw toestel onder garantie te laten

herstellen.
