COLLEGAMENTI ELETTRICI
Collegare con due li i morsetti 1-2 all’utilizzatore e i
morsetti L e N all’alimentazione di rete 230 V 50 Hz.
All’aumento della temperatura ambiente, il relé apre i
contatti 1-2 e chiude 1-4 Il morsetto 4 è libero e può
essere utilizzato per segnalazione o altro. Si consiglia di
sigillare l’estremità del tubo da cui provengono i cavi.
Montare il cronotermostato a 1,5 metri di altezza
dal pavimento, lontano da cucine, fonti di calore,
nestre e porte. Avvertenze: durante la prima ora
di funzionamento del termostato è possibile che la
temperatura visualizzata sia inferiore a quella reale.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
With two wires, connect terminals 1-2 to the user unit and
terminals L and N to the 230 V 50 Hz mains power supply.
When the ambient temperature increases, the relay opens
contacts 1-2 and closes 1-4. Terminal 4 is free and can be
used for signalling or other purposes. Users are advised to
seal the end of the pipe housing the cables.
Fit the chronothermostat at 1,5 from the oor, away from
kitchens, heat sources, windows and doors. Warning:
during the rst hour in which the thermostat is in use,
the temperature displayed may be lower than the true
temperature.

Cut the four cogs in the position indicated in the
compatible plates table and insert the adaptors
according to the corresponding plates.

Estrarre il cassettino frontale e inserire 3 pile
Alcaline microstilo lunga durata da 1,5 V,
facendo attenzione alla polarità indicata.
Quando si nota che il display lampeggia o tende
a spegnersi, la carica delle pile è ormai
insufficiente ed è necessaria la loro sostituzione.
Dopo la sostituzione delle pile, il display
lampeggerà ancora fino a quando
non richiederà l'accensione dell'impianto.

COLLEGAMENTI
1 - 2Collegare con due fili i morsetti all'impianto,
sostituendo il termostato tradizionale in qualsiasi
momento, senza aggiungere altri collegamenti.
E’ dotato di un relè con un contatto in
commutazione, libero da tensione, per il
comando diretto di: bruciatori, pompe di
circolazione, valvole di zona con servocomando
termico.
Il morsetto 4 E’ libero e può essere utilizzato per
segnalazione, allarme, ecc.
N.B. la morsettiera è del tipo estraibile, pertanto
dopo aver effettuato i collegamenti può essere
separata dal corpo dellíapparecchio

(NIGHT)
Press the R button (symbol ) and, at the same
time, press the T1 button to decrease the tempera-
ture or the T2 button to increase it.
Each time the button is pressed, the temperature
will increase or decrease by a tenth of a degree; by
holding down the T1 or T2 button, the temperature
will change faster, allowing for rapid adjustment. To
avoid the risk of ice forming in the water pipes, it is
not possible to set the temperature at less than
5 °C.

ADJUSTING THE COMFORT TEMPERATURE
(DAY)
Press the C button (symbol ) and, at the same
time, press the T1 button to decrease the tempera-
ture or the T2 button to increase it. Each time the
button is pressed, the temperature will increase or
decrease by a tenth of a degree; by holding down
the T1 or T2 button, the temperature will change
faster, allowing for rapid adjustment. It is not
possible to set the temperature to more than
40 °C.
The display will always show the ambient
temperature and the current mode symbol
as well as any heating requested.
Move the cursor to select the thermostat
temperature setting:

2-Carry out the electrical connections.
3-Screw the casing screws into the 3-module box.
This should already be fixed into the wall, away from
kitchens, heat sources, windows, doors etc. at a
height of 1,5 metres from the floor. Users are
advised to seal the end of the pipe housing the cables.
4-Apply the pressure plate.
With two wires, connect terminals 1 - 2 to the
system, replacing the traditional thermostat
whenever necessary, without adding other connec-
tions.
K494I is equipped with a relay with voltage-free
contact switchover, for the direct control of:
burners, circulation pumps and zone valves with
thermal actuator.
Terminal 4 is free and can be used for signalling,
alarms etc.
N.B. the terminal board is removable, and as such,
can be separated from the body of the device after
connections have been carried out.
Remove the front battery compartment and insert
3 long-life 1,5V AAA micro-style alkaline batteries,
making sure that the polarity is correct.
When the display flashes or starts to switch itself
off, the battery charge is insufficient, and these
must be replaced.
After replacing the batteries, the display will
continue to flash until the K494I requests that the
system is switched on.
