APPLICATIONS

The Plate Compactor is a machine that compacts the ground and it intends to make the surface smooth, by transming vibraon through vibrang plate,

which power is generated from a single motor in vibrator case. This machine is suitable for making the ground surface smooth, leveling the soil, beaching, and

nishing the asphalt paving.

Applicaons as follows:

This machine is hard to move forward on soil with much water (especially clay soil). It is not suitable for such applicaon. This machine is dicult to level

ground including big stones due to insucient compacng force. Plate compactor is mainly used for compacng surface smoother and it is nor eecve for

jobs that require heavy compacon. In case of compacng ground deeply into lower layer, it is recommended for use. Tamping Rammer, Vibrator Compactor

and Vibraon Roller, which compact force, are rather eecve. Please use this compactor for compacng surface soil, sediment, sand, beaching and asphalt. It

is not recommended to be used for the other applicaons.

Motor:

The motor is controlled by an ON/OFF switch or push buon, which is mounted on the motor below the fuel tank. The motor speed is controlled by a remote

throle lever which is mounted on the machine handle. The motor is ed with an oil alert device which will stop the motor or prevent starng.

Drive belt:

Tension of the drive belt is adjustable. Loosen the four nuts which secure the motor to the base plate, adjust the set screws, which bear against the motor

crankcase to achieve the required belt tension. Ensure that the four nuts and the set screw lock nuts are ghtened aer adjustment.

Foreword:

It is important to read this manual carefully so that you will fully understand the operaonal characteriscs and performance of the plate compactor. Proper

maintenance procedures will insure long life and top performance of the unit.

Safety:

This secon outlines basic safety procedures that apply to the operaon, maintenance and adjustment of the plate compactor. This unit is designed as a

powerful, producve machine that should be operated with respect and cauon. Misuse or carelessness can result in serious injury or damage or both. Safety

precauons must be observed at all mes.

Operator Qualicaons:

Before operang this equipment, the individual should read this manual. Whenever possible, he should be shown how to operate the unit by an experienced

operator. Inexperience is hazardous in operang any machine or aachment. Trial and error is not the way to become familiar with a piece of equipment. This is

expensive, diminishes equipment's life. The machine should not be le unaended when operang.

CAUTION

General Safety:

Protecon is required. Wear hard hat, shaerproof glassed, steel toed boots and other protecve devices required by job condions. Avoid jewellery or loose

clothing. These could be caught in controls or in moving parts and cause serious injury.

Starng Safety:

Poisonous fumes. Start and operate only in well venlated area. Breathing exhaust gases can result sickness or death.

Servicing Safety:

Flammable liquid: Stop engine and do not smoke or allow work in immediate area when refueling. Fire or explosion could result from ames or sparks.

Moving parts: Shutdown engine before performing.

Service or maintenance: Contact with moving parts can cause serious injury.

Temperature: Allow machine and engine to cool before performing service or maintenance. Contact with hot components can cause serious bums.

SHUTDOWN

EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN

Move throle lever to “OFF” posion and also turn stop switch to “OFF”.

NORMAL SHUTDOWN

Move throle lever quickly from “ON” to “OFF” and run the engine for 3 to 5 minutes at low speed. When engine cools, turn stop switch to “OFF” posion,

close the shuto fuel valve.

HAZARDS AND RISKS

Never allow any person to operate the machine without adequate instrucons.

Ensure that all operators will read, understand and follow the operang instrucons.

Serious injury could result from improper or careless use of this machine.

Plate compactors are heavy units and should be posioned by two people of appropriate strength, using the liing handles provided on the machine, along

with the correct liing techniques.

MECHANICAL HAZARDS

Do not operate the machine unless all protecve guards are in place.

Keep hands and feet clear of rotang and moving parts as they will cause injury if contacted.

Ensure that the motor operaon switch is in the OFF posion and the spark plug ignion lead is disconnected before removing the guards or making adjustments.

Ensure that both the machine and the operator are stable by seng up on level terrain and the machine will not p over, slide or fall while in operaon or

unaended.

Do not leave the machine in operaon while is unaended.

Ensure that the walls of a trench are stable and will not collapse due to the acon of vibraon, prior to commencing compacon.

Ensure that the area to be compacted does not contain any “live” electrical cables, gas, water or communicaon services which may be damaged by the acon

of the vibraon.

Exercise care when operang unit. Exposure to vibraon or repeve work acons may be harmful to hands and arms.

Never stand on the unit while it is operang.

Do not increase the governed no-load motor speed above 3.500 r/min. Any increase may result personal injury and damage to the machine.

Be careful not to contact with muer when the engine is hot, since it can cause severe burns.

Ensure that repairs to the motor and machine are carried out by specialists.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS

Petrol is extremely ammable and explosive under certain condions.

Ensure that petrol is only stored in an approved storage container.

Do not refuel the motor while it is in operaon or hot.

Do not refuel the motor in the vicinity of sparks, a naked ame or a person smoking.

Do not overll the fuel tank and avoid spilling petrol when refueling. Spilled petrol or petrol vapor may ignite. If spillage occurs, ensure that the area is dry

before starng the motor.

Ensure that the fuel tank cap is securely ed aer refueling.

CHEMICAL HAZARDS

Do not operate or refuel a petrol or diesel motor in a conned area without adequate venlaon.

Carbon monoxide exhaust gases from internal combuson motor driven units can cause death in conned spaces.

NOISE HAZARDS

Excessive noise can lead to temporary or permanent loss of hearing.

Wear an approved hearing protecon device to limit noise exposure. As required by Occupaonal Health and Safety regulaons.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

Always wear approved hearing protecon when working in a conned work space. Protecve goggles and a dust mask should be worn when working in a dusty

environment. Protecve clothing and footwear may also be desirable when working with hot mix bitumen.

ADDITIONAL HAZARDS

Slip/Trip/Fall is a major cause of serious injury or death. Beware of uneven or slippery work surfaces.

Take care when working in the vicinity of unprotected holes or excavaons.

OPERATION

GENERAL OPERATION

The machine is best suited to the compacon of bituminous and granular materials e.g. granular soils, gravels and sands or mixtures of both. Cohesive soils

such as silt and clay could be beer compacted by the use of the impact force produced by a vibrang rammer.

Where possible, the site should be graded and leveled before commencing compacon.

Correct moisture content in soil is vital to proper compacon. Water acts as a lubricant to help soil slide parcles together. Too lile moisture means inadequate

compacon; too much moisture leaves water-lled voids that weaken the soil’s load bearing ability.

Use unleaded grade petrol and ensure that the fuel is free from contaminaon.

The vibratory moon provides a self propelling acon. Posion the handle at the opposite end of the machine to the vibrator.

Start the motor using the recoil starter. (If the motor is ed with an on/o switch this must rst be turned to ON before starng.)

Increase the motor speed to the maximum seng, using the hand throle lever, before commencing compacng.

The machine should be controlled by grasping the handle with both hands and applying restraint to control the forward moon. If forward or backward moon

is problemac, adjust the red handle or nuts (item 21, 22 in components list), steer the machine by moving the handle sideways to the right or le.

Always maintain good foong so that you do not slip and loose control when starng or operang the machine.

PRIOR TO OPERATION

• Make sure that all dirt, etc., are thoroughly removed from the unit prior to operaon. Special eort should be given to the buon face to the vibrang plate

and those areas adjacent to the cooling air inlet of engine, carburetor, and air cleaner.

• Check all bolts and screws for ghtness and make sure all bolts and screws are securely ghtened. Loose bolts and screws may cause damage to the unit.

• Check the V-belt for ghtness. The normal slack should be approximately 10-15 mm (1/2’’) when the belts are forcibly depressed in the middle posion

between the two sheaves.

• If there is excess belt play. There could be a decrease in the impact force or errac vibraon, causing machine damage.

• Check the engine oil level and if it is low, it should be relled. Use the proper motor oil as suggested in the table below. (Fig.1)

• Remove the oil plug in the vibrator assembly and check the oil level. Make sure the compactor's level when checking. The oil level should be up to the oil

plug. Every month or every 200 hours of operaon, replace the oil.

IMPORTION

Use the motor oil SAE

• When changing the oil, the old oil can be drained by pping the unit. The oil will drain easily while is hot.

• A regular grade gasoline should be used in the engine.

• When lling the fuel tank, make sure the fuel lter is used.

CAUTION

• Be careful with the operang place and venlaon. Avoid operang the machine in a closed room, tunnel, or other badly venlated places, since its exhaust

contains deadly poisonous carbon monoxide. If the machine is employed unavoidable operated in such a place, discharge the exhaust out of the room by

suitable means.

• Be careful with hot members. Muers and other hot members are dangerous. Do not touch them with unprepared hand.

• Observe the following cauons when transporng. Tighten the fuel tank cap securely and turn o the fuel supply during the draining of petrol from the fuel

tank before transporng over long distances or uneven roads.

• Stop engine without fail before replenishing fuel tank. Never replenish gasoline while the engine is running or remains hot, otherwise spilled or evaporated

fuel is liable to catch re from engine sparks or muer heat. Wipe o spilled fuel, if any, before starng engine. Be careful not to spill fuel.

• Keep inammable way from the vicinity of the exhaust port. Be careful with the use of inammables, since the exhaust port is subjected to a high temperature.

STARTING

Gasoline Engine

• Turn the STOP switch clock-wise to the posion “I” (ON). (Fig.2)

• Open the fuel cock. (Fig.3)

• Set the speed control lever 1/3 to 1/2 of the way towards the high

speed posion. (Fig.4)

Close the choke lever

• If the engine is warm or the ambient temperature is high, open the

choke lever half-way, or keep it fully open.

• If the engine is cold or the ambient temperature is low, close the

choke lever fully. (Fig.5)

• Pull the starter handle slowly unl resistance is felt. This is the

“compression” point.

• Return the handle to its original posion and pull swily.

• Do not pull out the rope all the way.

• Aer starter the engine, allow the starter handle to return to its

original posion while sll holding the handle.(Fig.6)

Diesel Engine

• Turn the throle lever to START posion (open about 30 degrees).

(Fig.7)

Operate Starter

• In case of recoil starter pull the starter knob slowly, you will reach a

point where resistance becomes stronger (compression point). By

pulling it further, you will nd a point where resistance is reduced.

Return the knob slowly to its original place. (Fig.7)

Do not pull the rope all the way and do not take you hand o the pulled knob but slowly return it original posion.

Aer starng up the engine, be sure to perform a warm up for 2 to 3 minutes. This should be performed without fail, parcularly during winter season.

OPERATION

• As the engine warms up, gradually move the choke lever to the

OPEN posion. (Fig.8)

• Move the speed control lever from the Low to the High posion.

When the engine speed reaches approximately 2,300-2,600rpm,

the centrifugal clutch engages. If the engine speed increased very

slowly, it is possible that the clutch can slip. Do not operate the

speed control lever slowly. (Fig.9, 10)

OIL ALERT SYSTEM (Oponal)

• The Oil Alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused

by an insucient amount of oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level

in the crankcase can fall below a safe limit, the Oil Alert System will

automacally stop the engine (the engine switch will remain in the

ON posion).

TRANSPORTATION

Be sure to stop the engine while transporng.

Screw up the fuel tank cap securely and close the fuel valve to avoid fuel leaking.

In transportaon by car, place the machine in a secure way so not to move or fall down. In case of driving a long distance or o-road, remove fuel from tank.

SHUTDOWN

To stop the engine in an emergency, turn the stop switch to the OFF

posion.

Under normal condions, use the following procedure:

• Set the speed control lever at the low speed posion and allow

the engine to run at low speed for 2 or 3 minutes before stopping.

( Fig.11)

• Tum the stop switch to the OFF posion. (Fig.12)

• Close the fuel cock. (Fig.13)

CAUTION

High temperature: Allow machine and engine to cool before performing service or maintenance. Contact with hot components can cause serious burn.

Daily Service

• Remove mud, dirt, etc, from the unit.

• Clean boom face of the vibrang plate.

• Check the air cleaner element and clean if necessary.

• Check all nuts, bolts, and screws for ghtness and re-ghten as necessary.

Weekly Service

AIR CLEANER SERVICE (Fig.14)

Dirty air cleaner element will cause starng diculty, power loss, engine malfuncons, and shorten engine life extremely.

Keep the air cleaner element clean.

URETHANE FOAM ELEMENT

Remove the element and wash it in kerosene or diesel fuel. Then saturate it in a mixture of 3 parts kerosene or diesel fuel and 1 part engine oil. Squeeze the

element to remove the mixture and install it in the air cleaner.

URETHANE FOAM DUAL STRUCTURE

• Clean the urethane foam in the same way as described above.

• Wash the element in kerosene or diesel fuel. Saturate it in a mixture of 3 parts kerosene or diesel fuel and 1 part engine oil. Shake o excessive oil.

• Remove spark plug, clean and adjust the spark plug gap to 0.6-0.7mm (0.02-0.03 in). (Fig.15)

• Drain the motor oil of the engine and replace with new specied oil. (Fig.16)

NOTE

When the engine is new, the rst oil change must be made aer 20 hours of operaon and replenish the oil tank before operang.

Monthly Service

Change the oil in the vibrator assembly.

Storage

When storing the compactor for long periods aer operaon:

• Thoroughly drain the fuel from the fuel tank, fuel pipe and carburetor.

• Pour a few drops of motor oil into the cylinder by removing the spark plug.

Rotate the engine several mes by hand so that the cylinder interior is

covered with oil.

• Clean the outer surface of the machine with an oil moistened cloth.

• Cover the unit and store in a humidity-free area.

CARE & PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Check the oil level in the motor crankcase daily. Check the vibrator oil level weekly. Inspect the rubber anvibraon mounts for wear or deterioraon. Clean the

underside of the plate regularly to prevent a build up of material.

SERVICE

Change the oil in the motor crankcase regularly to minimize wear. Inspect,

clean and/or replace the motor air cleaner regularly, parcularly when

operang in a dusty environment. Inspect, clean and/or replace the spark

plug regularly. Check all fasteners for ghtness as the machine is subject to

vibraon. Check V belt tension, wear and that it is running correctly. Adjust

or replace as required.

Vibrator oil check

1. Place the plate compactor horizontally on a at surface. Make sure the

compactor is level when checking the oil in the vibrator assembly.

2. Check vibrator oil level by removing the plug (vibrator oil gauge) as shown

in Fig.17. The oil level should be up to the oil plug. If oil is required, replace

using SAE motor oil, as suggested in the table Fig.1.

3. When changing the vibrator oil, remove the drain plug (Fig.17), and simply

p the compactor to drain the oil. Note that the oil will drain more easily

while it is hot.

TROUBLESHOOTING

BEARINGS

The following bearings are sealed:

• Centrifugal clutch - grease lubricated

• Vibrator - oil bath lubricated

FINISH

The machine is nished in gold equipment enamel, the handle in black backed enamel. Exposed metal surface is zinc electroplated for corrosion protecon.

SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSES AND CORRECTION

Motor will not start

• Check the ON/OFF switch to ensure that it is switched "ON".

• Check the fuel supply.

• If a motor is ed check the crankcase oil level as and oil

sensor device is ed to these motors which prevents starng

and stops the motor when the oil level is low.

Motor stops • Check the fuel supply.

Petrol Motor lacks power. • Check the condion of the air lter

Insucient vibraon • Check for a slipping or a missing see belt.

Machine is not moving freely • Check the underside of the plate for a build up of material.

ΕΦΆΡΜΟΓΕΣ

Ο συμπιεστής εδάφους είναι ένα μηχάνημα που συμπιέζει το έδαφος και κάνει την επιφάνεια λεία, μεταδίδοντας δονήσεις μέσω της δονούμενης πλάκας, η

ισχύς της οποίας παράγεται από έναν ενιαίο κινητήρα στην περίπτωση του δονητή. Αυτό το μηχάνημα είναι κατάλληλο για την εξομάλυνση της επιφάνειας

του εδάφους, την ισοπέδωση του εδάφους, την παραλία και την τελική επίστρωση της ασφάλτου.

Αυτό το μηχάνημα κινείται δύσκολα σε εδάφη με πολύ νερό (ειδικά σε αργιλώδη εδάφη). Δεν είναι κατάλληλο για τέτοιες εφαρμογές. Αυτό το μηχάνημα

είναι δύσκολο να ισοπεδώσει το έδαφος, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των μεγάλων λίθων, λόγω της ανεπαρκούς δύναμης συμπίεσης. Ο συμπιεστής πλάκας

χρησιμοποιείται κυρίως για την ομαλότερη συμπίεση της επιφάνειας και δεν είναι αποτελεσματικός για εργασίες που απαιτούν βαριά συμπίεση. Σε περίπτωση

που συμπιέζουν με δύναμη, είναι μάλλον αποτελεσματικοί. Χρησιμοποιήστε αυτόν τον συμπιεστή για τη συμπύκνωση επιφανειακού εδάφους, ιζημάτων,

άμμου, παραλίας και ασφάλτου. Δεν συνιστάται η χρήση του για άλλες εφαρμογές.

Κινητήρας:

Το μοτέρ ελέγχεται από έναν διακόπτη ON/OFF ή ένα μπουτόν, ο οποίος είναι τοποθετημένος στο μοτέρ κάτω από τη δεξαμενή καυσίμου. Η ταχύτητα του

κινητήρα ελέγχεται από έναν απομακρυσμένο μοχλό γκαζιού που είναι τοποθετημένος στη λαβή του μηχανήματος. Ο κινητήρας είναι εξοπλισμένος με μια

συσκευή ειδοποίησης, η οποία σταματά τον κινητήρα ή εμποδίζει την εκκίνηση όταν η στάθμη λαδιού του στροφαλοθάλαμου πέσει κάτω από ένα ασφαλές

επίπεδο.

Ιμάντας κίνησης:

Η τάση του ιμάντα κίνησης είναι ρυθμιζόμενη. Χαλαρώστε τα τέσσερα παξιμάδια που ασφαλίζουν τον κινητήρα στην πλάκα βάσης, Ρυθμίστε τις βίδες

ρύθμισης, οι οποίες ακουμπούν στο στροφαλοθάλαμο του κινητήρα για να επιτευχθεί η απαιτούμενη τάση του ιμάντα. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι τα τέσσερα παξιμάδια

και τα παξιμάδια ασφάλισης των ρυθμιστικών βιδών είναι σφιγμένα μετά τη ρύθμιση.

πλάκας. Οι σωστές διαδικασίες συντήρησης θα εξασφαλίσουν μεγάλη διάρκεια ζωής και κορυφαία απόδοση του μηχανήματος.

Άσφάλεια:

Αυτή η ενότητα περιγράφει τις βασικές διαδικασίες ασφαλείας που ισχύουν για τη λειτουργία, τη συντήρηση και τη ρύθμιση του συμπιεστή εδάφους.

Αυτό το μηχάνημα έχει σχεδιαστεί ως ένα ισχυρό, παραγωγικό μηχάνημα που πρέπει να λειτουργεί με σεβασμό και προσοχή. Η κακή χρήση ή η απροσεξία

μπορεί να έχει ως αποτέλεσμα σοβαρό τραυματισμό ή βλάβη ή και τα δύο. Οι προφυλάξεις ασφαλείας πρέπει να τηρούνται ανά πάσα στιγμή.

Προσόντα χειριστή:

Πριν από το χειρισμό αυτού του εξοπλισμού, το άτομο πρέπει να διαβάσει το παρόν εγχειρίδιο. Όποτε είναι δυνατόν, θα πρέπει να του δείξει τον τρόπο

λειτουργίας της μονάδας ένας έμπειρος χειριστής. Η απειρία είναι επικίνδυνη κατά το χειρισμό οποιουδήποτε μηχανήματος ή εξαρτήματος. Η δοκιμή και το

λάθος δεν είναι ο τρόπος για να εξοικειωθείτε με τον εξοπλισμό. Αυτό είναι δαπανηρό και μειώνει τη διάρκεια ζωής του εξοπλισμού. Το μηχάνημα δεν πρέπει

να αφήνεται αφύλακτο κατά τη λειτουργία του.

ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ

Γενική ασφάλεια:

Απαιτείται προστασία. Να φοράτε κράνος, γυαλιά με άθραυστα τζάμια, μπότες με ατσάλινες μύτες και άλλα προστατευτικά μέσα που απαιτούνται από τις

συνθήκες εργασίας. Αποφύγετε κοσμήματα ή χαλαρά ρούχα. Αυτά μπορεί να πιαστούν στα χειριστήρια ή στα κινούμενα μέρη και να προκαλέσουν σοβαρό

τραυματισμό.

Άσφάλεια κατά την εκκίνηση:

Δηλητηριώδεις αναθυμιάσεις. Εκκινήστε και λειτουργήστε μόνο σε καλά αεριζόμενο χώρο. Η εισπνοή καυσαερίων μπορεί να προκαλέσει ασθένεια ή θάνατο.

Εύφλεκτο υγρό: Σταματήστε τον κινητήρα, μην καπνίζετε και μην επιτρέπετε εργασίες στην άμεση περιοχή κατά τον ανεφοδιασμό. Μπορεί να προκληθεί

πυρκαγιά ή έκρηξη από φλόγες ή σπινθήρες.

Κινούμενα μέρη: Σβήστε τον κινητήρα πριν από την εκτέλεση των εργασιών.

Σέρβις ή συντήρηση: Η επαφή με κινούμενα μέρη μπορεί να προκαλέσει σοβαρό τραυματισμό.

Θερμοκρασία: Αφήστε το μηχάνημα και τον κινητήρα να κρυώσουν πριν από την εκτέλεση σέρβις ή συντήρησης. Η επαφή με καυτά εξαρτήματα μπορεί να

προκαλέσει σοβαρά χτυπήματα.

ΔΙΆΚΟΠΗ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆΣ

ΆΜΕΣΗ ΔΙΆΚΟΠΗ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆΣ

Μετακινήστε το μοχλό του γκαζιού στη θέση "OFF" και γυρίστε επίσης το διακόπτη διακοπής στη θέση "OFF".

ΚΆΝΟΝΙΚΗ ΔΙΆΚΟΠΗ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆΣ

Μετακινήστε γρήγορα τον μοχλό του γκαζιού από το "ON" στο "OFF" και θέστε τον κινητήρα σε λειτουργία για 3 έως 5 λεπτά σε χαμηλή ταχύτητα. Όταν ο

κινητήρας κρυώσει, γυρίστε τον διακόπτη διακοπής στη θέση "OFF", κλείστε τη βαλβίδα διακοπής καυσίμου.

ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΙ

Ποτέ μην επιτρέπετε σε κανένα άτομο να χειρίζεται το μηχάνημα χωρίς επαρκείς οδηγίες.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλοι οι χειριστές θα διαβάσουν, θα κατανοήσουν και θα ακολουθήσουν τις οδηγίες λειτουργίας.

Σοβαρός τραυματισμός μπορεί να προκύψει από ακατάλληλη ή απρόσεκτη χρήση αυτού του μηχανήματος.

Οι συμπιεστές εδάφους είναι βαριά μηχανήματα και θα πρέπει να τοποθετούνται από δύο άτομα με κατάλληλη δύναμη, χρησιμοποιώντας τις λαβές

ανύψωσης που παρέχονται στο μηχάνημα, μαζί με τις σωστές τεχνικές ανύψωσης.

ΜΗΧΆΝΙΚΟΣ ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ

Μην χρησιμοποιείτε το μηχάνημα εάν δεν είναι τοποθετημένα όλα τα προστατευτικά καλύμματα.

Κρατήστε τα χέρια και τα πόδια μακριά από τα περιστρεφόμενα και κινούμενα μέρη, καθώς αν έρθουν σε επαφή με αυτά θα προκαλέσουν τραυματισμό.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι ο διακόπτης λειτουργίας του κινητήρα βρίσκεται στη θέση OFF και ότι το καλώδιο ανάφλεξης του μπουζί είναι αποσυνδεδεμένο πριν

αφαιρέσετε τα προστατευτικά ή κάνετε ρυθμίσεις.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι τόσο το μηχάνημα όσο και ο χειριστής είναι σταθεροί, εγκαθιστώντας το σε επίπεδο έδαφος και ότι το μηχάνημα δεν θα ανατραπεί, δεν θα

γλιστρήσει ή δεν θα πέσει κατά τη λειτουργία του ή χωρίς επίβλεψη.

Μην αφήνετε το μηχάνημα σε λειτουργία ενώ είναι αφύλακτο.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι τα τοιχώματα μιας λακκούβας είναι σταθερά και δεν θα καταρρεύσουν λόγω των δονήσεων, πριν από την έναρξη της συμπίεσης.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η προς συμπίεση περιοχή δεν περιέχει "ηλεκτροφόρα" καλώδια, υπηρεσίες αερίου, νερού ή επικοινωνίας που μπορεί να υποστούν ζημιά

από τη δράση της δόνησης.

Να είστε προσεκτικοί κατά το χειρισμό της μονάδας. Η έκθεση σε κραδασμούς ή επαναλαμβανόμενες ενέργειες εργασίας μπορεί να είναι επιβλαβής για τα

χέρια και τους βραχίονες.

Ποτέ μην στέκεστε πάνω στη μονάδα ενώ αυτή λειτουργεί.

Μην αυξάνετε τη ρυθμιζόμενη ταχύτητα του κινητήρα χωρίς φορτίο πάνω από 3.500 στροφές/λεπτό. Οποιαδήποτε αύξηση μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε

τραυματισμό και βλάβη του μηχανήματος.

ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ ΠΥΡΚΆΓΙΆΣ ΚΆΙ ΕΚΡΗΞΗΣ

Η βενζίνη είναι εξαιρετικά εύφλεκτη και εκρηκτική υπό ορισμένες συνθήκες.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η βενζίνη αποθηκεύεται μόνο σε εγκεκριμένο δοχείο αποθήκευσης.

Μην ανεφοδιάζετε τον κινητήρα ενώ αυτός είναι σε λειτουργία ή είναι ζεστός.

Μην ανεφοδιάζετε τον κινητήρα κοντά σε σπινθήρες, φλόγα ή άτομο που καπνίζει.

Μην υπερπληρώνετε το ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου και αποφύγετε τη διαρροή βενζίνης κατά τον ανεφοδιασμό. Η χυμένη βενζίνη ή οι ατμοί βενζίνης μπορεί να

αναφλεγούν. Σε περίπτωση διαρροής, βεβαιωθείτε ότι η περιοχή έχει στεγνώσει πριν από την εκκίνηση του κινητήρα.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η τάπα του ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου είναι καλά τοποθετημένη μετά τον ανεφοδιασμό.

ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ ΆΠΟ ΧΗΜΙΚΕΣ ΟΥΣΙΕΣ

Μην λειτουργείτε ή ανεφοδιάζετε βενζινοκινητήρα ή πετρελαιοκινητήρα σε περιορισμένο χώρο χωρίς επαρκή εξαερισμό.

Τα καυσαέρια μονοξειδίου του άνθρακα από μονάδες με κινητήρα εσωτερικής καύσης μπορεί να προκαλέσουν θάνατο σε κλειστούς χώρους.

ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΣ ΆΠΟ ΤΟΝ ΘΟΡΥΒΟ

Ο υπερβολικός θόρυβος μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε προσωρινή ή μόνιμη απώλεια της ακοής.

Φοράτε εγκεκριμένη συσκευή προστασίας της ακοής για να περιορίσετε την έκθεση σε θόρυβο. Όπως απαιτείται από τους Κανονισμούς Υγείας και Ασφάλειας

στην Εργασία.

ΠΡΟΣΤΆΤΕΥΤΙΚΗ ΕΝΔΥΜΆΣΙΆ

Να φοράτε πάντα εγκεκριμένη προστασία ακοής όταν εργάζεστε σε περιορισμένο χώρο εργασίας. Πρέπει να φοράτε προστατευτικά γυαλιά και μάσκα σκόνης

όταν εργάζεστε σε περιβάλλον με σκόνη. Ο προστατευτικός ρουχισμός και τα προστατευτικά υποδήματα μπορεί επίσης να είναι επιθυμητά όταν εργάζεστε

με άσφαλτο θερμού μίγματος.

ΠΡΟΣΘΕΤΟΙ ΚΙΝΔΥΝΟΙ

Το γλίστρημα/παραπάτημα/πτώση αποτελεί σημαντική αιτία σοβαρού τραυματισμού ή θανάτου. Προσοχή στις ανώμαλες ή ολισθηρές επιφάνειες εργασίας.

Προσέχετε όταν εργάζεστε κοντά σε ακάλυπτες τρύπες ή εκσκαφές.

ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆ

ΓΕΝΙΚΗ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆ

Το μηχάνημα είναι καταλληλότερο για τη συμπύκνωση ασφαλτικών και κοκκωδών υλικών, π.χ. κοκκώδη εδάφη, χαλίκια και άμμο ή μίγματα και των δύο. Τα

συνεκτικά εδάφη, όπως η ιλύς και η άργιλος, μπορούν να συμπιεστούν καλύτερα με τη χρήση της δύναμης κρούσης που παράγεται από ένα δονητικό σφυρί.

Όπου είναι δυνατόν, ο χώρος θα πρέπει να διαβαθμίζεται και να ισοπεδώνεται πριν από την έναρξη της συμπύκνωσης.

Η σωστή περιεκτικότητα του εδάφους σε υγρασία είναι ζωτικής σημασίας για τη σωστή συμπύκνωση. Το νερό δρα ως λιπαντικό που βοηθά τα σωματίδια του

εδάφους να ολισθαίνουν μεταξύ τους. Πολύ λίγη υγρασία σημαίνει ανεπαρκή συμπύκνωση- πολύ υγρασία αφήνει κενά γεμάτα νερό που αποδυναμώνουν

την ικανότητα του εδάφους να φέρει φορτία.

Χρησιμοποιήστε αμόλυβδη βενζίνη και βεβαιωθείτε ότι το καύσιμο δεν έχει επιμολύνσεις.

Η δονητική κίνηση παρέχει αυτοπροωθούμενη δράση. Τοποθετήστε τη λαβή στο αντίθετο άκρο του μηχανήματος από τον δονητή.

Εκκινήστε τον κινητήρα χρησιμοποιώντας τη μίζα ανάκρουσης. (Εάν ο κινητήρας είναι εφοδιασμένος με διακόπτη ενεργοποίησης/απενεργοποίησης, αυτός

πρέπει πρώτα να τεθεί στη θέση ON πριν από την εκκίνηση).

Αυξήστε την ταχύτητα του κινητήρα στη μέγιστη ρύθμιση, χρησιμοποιώντας το μοχλό χειροκίνητου γκαζιού, πριν από την έναρξη της συμπίεσης.

Το μηχάνημα πρέπει να ελέγχεται πιάνοντας τη λαβή και με τα δύο χέρια και εφαρμόζοντας συγκράτηση για τον έλεγχο της κίνησης προς τα εμπρός. Εάν

η κίνηση προς τα εμπρός ή προς τα πίσω είναι προβληματική, ρυθμίστε την κόκκινη λαβή ή τα παξιμάδια (στοιχείο 21, 22 στον κατάλογο εξαρτημάτων),

κατευθύνετε το μηχάνημα μετακινώντας τη λαβή πλευρικά προς τα δεξιά ή προς τα αριστερά.

Διατηρείτε πάντα καλό πάτημα, ώστε να μην γλιστράτε και χάσετε τον έλεγχο κατά την εκκίνηση ή τη λειτουργία του μηχανήματος.

ΠΡΙΝ ΤΗ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆ

• Βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλες οι βρωμιές κ.λπ. έχουν απομακρυνθεί σχολαστικά από το μηχάνημα πριν από τη λειτουργία. Ιδιαίτερη προσπάθεια θα πρέπει

να καταβληθεί στην πρόσοψη του κουμπιού προς την πλάκα δόνησης και στις περιοχές που γειτνιάζουν με την είσοδο αέρα ψύξης του κινητήρα, το

καρμπυρατέρ και το φίλτρο αέρα.

• Ελέγξτε όλα τα μπουλόνια και τις βίδες για τη στεγανότητά τους και βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλα τα μπουλόνια και οι βίδες είναι καλά σφιγμένα. Τα χαλαρά

μπουλόνια και οι βίδες μπορεί να προκαλέσουν ζημιά στη μονάδα.

• Ελέγξτε τον ιμάντα στρέψης για τη στεγανότητά του. Η κανονική χαλάρωση πρέπει να είναι περίπου 10-15 mm (1/2'') όταν οι ιμάντες πιέζονται με

δύναμη στη μεσαία θέση μεταξύ των δύο τροχαλιών. Εάν υπάρχει υπερβολική χαλάρωση του ιμάντα. Μπορεί να υπάρξει μείωση της δύναμης κρούσης ή

ακανόνιστοι κραδασμοί, προκαλώντας βλάβη στο μηχάνημα.

• Ελέγξτε τη στάθμη λαδιού κινητήρα και αν είναι χαμηλή, πρέπει να συμπληρωθεί. Χρησιμοποιήστε το κατάλληλο λιπαντικό κινητήρα, όπως προτείνεται

στον παρακάτω πίνακα. ( Εικ.1)

• Αφαιρέστε την τάπα λαδιού στο εξάρτημα του δονητή και ελέγξτε τη στάθμη λαδιού. Ελέγξτε εάν το μηχάνημα είναι τοποθετημένο σε επίπεδη

επιφάνεια. Η στάθμη του λαδιού πρέπει να είναι μέχρι την τάπα λαδιού. Κάθε μήνα ή κάθε 200 ώρες λειτουργίας, αντικαταστήστε το λάδι.

Χρησιμοποιήστε λιπαντικό κινητήρα SAE

• Κατά την αλλαγή λαδιού, το παλιό λάδι μπορεί να αποστραγγιστεί αναποδογυρίζοντας τη μονάδα. Το λάδι θα αποστραγγιστεί εύκολα ενώ είναι ζεστό.

• Στον κινητήρα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιείται βενζίνη κανονικής ποιότητας.

• Όταν γεμίζετε το ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου, βεβαιωθείτε ότι χρησιμοποιείται το φίλτρο καυσίμου.

ΆΙΤΙΆ

• Να είστε προσεκτικοί με το χώρο λειτουργίας και τον εξαερισμό. Αποφύγετε τη λειτουργία του μηχανήματος σε κλειστό δωμάτιο, τούνελ ή άλλους

χώρους με κακό εξαερισμό, καθώς τα καυσαέριά του περιέχουν θανατηφόρο δηλητηριώδες μονοξείδιο του άνθρακα. Εάν το μηχάνημα χρησιμοποιηθεί

αναπόφευκτα σε τέτοιο χώρο, απομακρύνετε τα καυσαέρια από το δωμάτιο με κατάλληλα μέσα.

• Να είστε προσεκτικοί με τα καυτά μέλη. Οι σιγαστήρες και άλλα καυτά μέλη είναι επικίνδυνα. Μην τα αγγίζετε με απροετοίμαστο χέρι.

• Τηρείτε τις ακόλουθες προειδοποιήσεις κατά τη μεταφορά. Σφίξτε καλά το καπάκι του ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου και απενεργοποιήστε την παροχή καυσίμου

κατά τη διάρκεια της αποστράγγισης της βενζίνης από το ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου πριν από τη μεταφορά σε μεγάλη απόσταση ή σε ανώμαλους δρόμους.

• Σταματήστε οπωσδήποτε τον κινητήρα πριν από την αναπλήρωση του ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου. Ποτέ μην αναπληρώνετε βενζίνη ενώ ο κινητήρας λειτουργεί

ή παραμένει ζεστός, διαφορετικά το χυμένο ή εξατμισμένο καύσιμο ενδέχεται να πάρει φωτιά από σπινθήρες του κινητήρα ή από τη θερμότητα του

σιγαστήρα. Σκουπίστε το χυμένο καύσιμο, εάν υπάρχει, πριν από την εκκίνηση του κινητήρα. Προσέξτε να μην χυθεί καύσιμο.

• Κρατήστε τα εύφλεκτα υλικά μακριά από την περιοχή της θύρας εξαγωγής. Να είστε προσεκτικοί με τη χρήση εύφλεκτων υλικών, καθώς η θύρα εξαγωγής

υπόκειται σε υψηλή θερμοκρασία.

ΕΚΚΙΝΗΣΗ

Κινητήρας βενζίνης

• Γυρίστε το διακόπτη STOP με τη φορά του ρολογιού στη θέση "I"

(ON). ( Εικ.2)

• Ανοίξτε τον κρουνό καυσίμου ( Εικ.3).

• Ρυθμίστε τον μοχλό ελέγχου στροφών κατά το 1/3 έως το 1/2 της

διαδρομής προς τη θέση υψηλής ταχύτητας. ( Εικ.4)

Κλείστε τσοκ

• Εάν ο κινητήρας είναι ζεστός ή η θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος είναι

υψηλή, ανοίξτε το τσοκ μέχρι τη μέση ή κρατήστε τον εντελώς

ανοιχτό.

• Εάν ο κινητήρας είναι κρύος ή η θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος είναι

χαμηλή, κλείστε το τσοκ εντελώς. (Εικ.5)

• Τραβήξτε αργά τη λαβή της μίζας μέχρι να γίνει αισθητή η

αντίσταση. Αυτό είναι το σημείο "συμπίεσης". Επαναφέρετε τη

λαβή στην αρχική της θέση και τραβήξτε γρήγορα.

• Μην τραβήξετε το σχοινί μέχρι τέλους.

• Αφού εκκινήσετε τον κινητήρα, αφήστε τη λαβή της μίζας να

επανέλθει στην αρχική της θέση κρατώντας τη λαβή (Εικ.6).

Κινητήρας ντίζελ

• Γυρίστε το μοχλό του γκαζιού στη θέση START (ανοιχτό περίπου 30

μοίρες). ( Εικ.7)

Λειτουργία της μίζας

• Σε περίπτωση μίζας με επαναφορά τραβήξτε αργά τον μοχλό

της μίζας, θα φτάσετε σε ένα σημείο όπου η αντίσταση γίνεται

ισχυρότερη (σημείο συμπίεσης). Τραβώντας το περισσότερο, θα

βρείτε ένα σημείο όπου η αντίσταση μειώνεται. Επαναφέρετε αργά

τον μοχλό στην αρχική του θέση. (Σχ.7)

ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ

30 μοίρες

Μην τραβήξετε το σχοινί μέχρι τέλους και μην απομακρύνετε το χέρι σας από τον τραβηγμένο μοχλό, αλλά επιστρέψτε το σιγά-σιγά στην αρχική του θέση.

Μετά την εκκίνηση του κινητήρα, φροντίστε να κάνετε προθέρμανση για 2 έως 3 λεπτά. Αυτό πρέπει να διενεργείται οπωσδήποτε, ιδίως κατά τη διάρκεια

της χειμερινής περιόδου.

ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΙΆ

• Καθώς ο κινητήρας ζεσταίνεται, μετακινήστε σταδιακά το τσοκ στη

θέση OPEN. (Εικ.8)

• Μετακινήστε το μοχλό ελέγχου στροφών από τη θέση Low (Χαμηλή)

στη θέση High (Υψηλή). Όταν οι στροφές του κινητήρα φτάσουν

περίπου στις 2.300-2.600 στροφές ανά λεπτό, ενεργοποιείται ο

φυγοκεντρικός συμπλέκτης. Εάν η ταχύτητα του κινητήρα αυξηθεί

πολύ αργά, είναι πιθανό ο συμπλέκτης να γλιστρήσει. Μην κινείτε

αργά τον μοχλό ελέγχου στροφών (Εικ.9, 10).

ΣΥΣΤΗΜΆ ΠΡΟΕΙΔΟΠΟΙΗΣΗΣ ΛΙΠΆΝΤΙΚΟΥ (προαιρετικό)

• Το σύστημα Oil Alert έχει σχεδιαστεί για να αποτρέπει τη βλάβη

του κινητήρα που προκαλείται από ανεπαρκή ποσότητα λαδιού στο

στροφαλοθάλαμο. Πριν η στάθμη λαδιού στο στροφαλοθάλαμο πέσει

κάτω από ένα ασφαλές όριο, το σύστημα θα σταματήσει αυτόματα

τον κινητήρα (ο διακόπτης του κινητήρα θα παραμείνει στη θέση ON).

ΜΕΤΆΦΟΡΆ

Φροντίστε να σταματήσετε τον κινητήρα κατά τη μεταφορά.

Βιδώστε καλά την τάπα του ρεζερβουάρ καυσίμου και κλείστε τη βαλβίδα καυσίμου για να αποφύγετε τη διαρροή καυσίμου.

Κατά τη μεταφορά με αυτοκίνητο, τοποθετήστε το μηχάνημα σε ασφαλές σημείο, ώστε να μην μετακινηθεί ή πέσει. Σε περίπτωση οδήγησης μεγάλης

απόστασης ή εκτός δρόμου, αφαιρέστε το καύσιμο από το ρεζερβουάρ.

ΚΛΕΙΣΙΜΟ

Για να σταματήσετε τον κινητήρα σε περίπτωση έκτακτης ανάγκης,

γυρίστε το διακόπτη διακοπής στη θέση OFF.

Υπό κανονικές συνθήκες, ακολουθήστε την ακόλουθη διαδικασία:

• Τοποθετήστε τον μοχλό ελέγχου στροφών στη θέση χαμηλών

στροφών και αφήστε τον κινητήρα να λειτουργήσει σε χαμηλές

στροφές για 2 ή 3 λεπτά πριν σταματήσετε. (Εικ.11)

• Γυρίστε το διακόπτη διακοπής στη θέση OFF. ( Εικ.12)

• Κλείστε τη βάνα καυσίμου (Σχ. 13).

ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ

πυρκαγιά ή έκρηξη από φλόγες ή σπινθήρες.

Κινούμενα μέρη: Σβήστε τον κινητήρα πριν από την εκτέλεση εργασιών σέρβις ή συντήρησης. Η επαφή με κινούμενα μέρη μπορεί να προκαλέσει σοβαρό

τραυματισμό.

Υψηλή θερμοκρασία: Αφήστε το μηχάνημα και τον κινητήρα να κρυώσουν πριν εκτελέσετε σέρβις ή συντήρηση. Η επαφή με καυτά εξαρτήματα μπορεί να

προκαλέσει σοβαρά εγκαύματα.

Καθημερινό σέρβις

• Απομακρύνετε λάσπη, βρωμιά κ.λπ. από τη μονάδα.

• Καθαρίστε την κάτω πλευρά της πλάκας δόνησης.

• Ελέγξτε το στοιχείο του φίλτρου αέρα και καθαρίστε το εάν είναι απαραίτητο.

• Ελέγξτε όλα τα παξιμάδια, τα μπουλόνια και τις βίδες για τη στεγανότητά τους και επανασφίξτε τα, εφόσον χρειάζεται.

Εβδομαδιαίο σέρβις

ΣΕΡΒΙΣ ΤΟΥ ΦΙΛΤΡΟΥ ΆΕΡΆ (Εικ.14)

Το βρώμικο στοιχείο του φίλτρου αέρα θα προκαλέσει δυσκολία εκκίνησης, απώλεια ισχύος, δυσλειτουργίες του κινητήρα και θα μειώσει εξαιρετικά τη

διάρκεια ζωής του κινητήρα.

Διατηρείτε το στοιχείο του φίλτρου αέρα καθαρό.

ΣΤΟΙΧΕΙΟ ΆΦΡΟΥ ΟΥΡΕΘΆΝΗΣ

Αφαιρέστε το στοιχείο και πλύντε το με κηροζίνη ή πετρέλαιο ντίζελ. Στη συνέχεια, εμποτίστε το σε μείγμα 3 μερών κηροζίνης ή ντίζελ και 1 μέρους λαδιού

κινητήρα. Στύψτε το στοιχείο για να απομακρύνετε το μείγμα και τοποθετήστε το στο φίλτρο αέρα.

• Καθαρίστε τον αφρό ουρεθάνης με τον ίδιο τρόπο που περιγράφεται παραπάνω.

• Πλύνετε το στοιχείο με κηροζίνη ή πετρέλαιο ντίζελ. Εμποτίστε το σε μείγμα 3 μερών κηροζίνης ή ντίζελ και 1 μέρους λαδιού κινητήρα. Αφαιρέστε το

υπερβολικό λάδι.

• Αφαιρέστε το μπουζί, καθαρίστε και ρυθμίστε το διάκενο του μπουζί στα 0,6-0,7 mm (0,02-0,03 in). ( Εικ.15)

• Αδειάστε το λάδι από τον κινητήρα και αντικαταστήστε το με νέο ειδικό λάδι (Εικ.16).

ΣΗΜΕΙΩΣΗ

Όταν ο κινητήρας είναι καινούργιος, η πρώτη αλλαγή λαδιού πρέπει να γίνει μετά από 20 ώρες λειτουργίας και να συμπληρώσετε το δοχείο λαδιού πριν από

τη λειτουργία.

Μηνιαίο σέρβις

Αλλάξτε το λάδι στον δονητή.

Άποθήκευση

• Κατά την αποθήκευση του συμπιεστή για μεγάλα χρονικά διαστήματα μετά

τη λειτουργία:

• Αδειάστε σχολαστικά το καύσιμο από τη δεξαμενή καυσίμου, τον σωλήνα

καυσίμου και το καρμπυρατέρ.

• Ρίξτε μερικές σταγόνες λάδι κινητήρα στον κύλινδρο αφαιρώντας το μπουζί.

Περιστρέψτε τον κινητήρα αρκετές φορές με το χέρι, ώστε το εσωτερικό του

κυλίνδρου να καλυφθεί με λάδι.

• Καθαρίστε την εξωτερική επιφάνεια της μηχανής με ένα πανί βρεγμένο με

λάδι.

• Καλύψτε τη μονάδα και αποθηκεύστε την σε χώρο χωρίς υγρασία.

ΦΡΟΝΤΙΔΆ ΚΆΙ ΠΡΟΛΗΠΤΙΚΗ ΣΥΝΤΗΡΗΣΗ

Ελέγχετε καθημερινά τη στάθμη λαδιού στο στροφαλοθάλαμο του κινητήρα. Ελέγχετε τη στάθμη λαδιού του δονητή εβδομαδιαίως. Ελέγξτε τα λαστιχένια

αντικραδασμικά στηρίγματα για φθορά. Καθαρίζετε τακτικά την κάτω πλευρά της πλάκας για να αποφύγετε τη συσσώρευση υλικού.

ΣΕΡΒΙΣ

Αλλάζετε τακτικά το λάδι στο στροφαλοθάλαμο του κινητήρα για να

ελαχιστοποιήσετε τη φθορά. Επιθεωρείτε, καθαρίζετε ή/και αντικαθιστάτε

τακτικά το φίλτρο αέρα του κινητήρα, ιδίως όταν λειτουργεί σε περιβάλλον

με σκόνη. Επιθεωρείτε, καθαρίζετε ή/και αντικαθιστάτε τακτικά το μπουζί.

Ελέγχετε όλους τους συνδέσμους για τη στεγανότητά τους, καθώς το

μηχάνημα υπόκειται σε κραδασμούς. Ελέγχετε την τάση του ιμάντα V για

φθορά και ότι λειτουργεί σωστά. Ρυθμίστε ή αντικαταστήστε τον όπως

απαιτείται.

Έλεγχος λαδιού δονητή

1. Τοποθετήστε τον συμπιεστή πλακών οριζόντια σε μια επίπεδη επιφάνεια.

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι ο συμπιεστής είναι οριζόντιος όταν ελέγχετε το λάδι στον

δονητή.

2. Ελέγξτε τη στάθμη λαδιού του δονητή αφαιρώντας την τάπα (μετρητής

λαδιού δονητή) όπως φαίνεται στην Εικ.17. Η στάθμη του λαδιού πρέπει

να είναι μέχρι την τάπα λαδιού. Εάν απαιτείται λάδι, αντικαταστήστε το

χρησιμοποιώντας λάδι κινητήρα SAE, όπως προτείνεται στον πίνακα Εικ.1.

3. Κατά την αλλαγή του λαδιού του δονητή, αφαιρέστε την τάπα

αποστράγγισης (Εικ.17) και απλά αναποδογυρίστε τον συμπιεστή για να

αποστραγγίσετε το λάδι. Σημειώστε ότι το λάδι θα αποστραγγιστεί πιο

εύκολα όσο είναι ζεστό.

ΤΕΛΟΣ

Το μηχάνημα είναι φινιρισμένο με χρυσό εμαγέ, η λαβή με μαύρο εμαγιέ. Η εκτεθειμένη μεταλλική επιφάνεια είναι ηλεκτρολυτικά επιψευδαργυρωμένη για

προστασία από τη διάβρωση.

ΣΥΜΠΤΩΜΑ ΠΙΘΑΝΕΣ ΑΙΤΙΕΣ ΚΑΙ ΕΠΙΛΥΣΗ

Ο κινητήρας δεν ξεκινάει

• Ελέγξτε το διακόπτη ON/OFF για να βεβαιωθείτε ότι είναι

ενεργοποιημένος.

• Ελέγξτε την παροχή καυσίμου.

• Εάν έχει τοποθετηθεί κινητήρας, ελέγξτε τη στάθμη του

λαδιού στροφαλοθάλαμου, καθώς σε αυτούς τους κινητήρες

έχει τοποθετηθεί συσκευή αισθητήρα λαδιού, η οποία

εμποδίζει την εκκίνηση και σταματά τον κινητήρα όταν η

στάθμη λαδιού είναι χαμηλή.

Ο κινητήρας σταματά • Ελέγξτε την παροχή καυσίμου.

Ο βενζινοκινητήρας δεν έχει ισχύ. • Ελέγξτε την κατάσταση του φίλτρου αέρα

Ανεπαρκής δόνηση • Ελέγξτε για ολίσθηση ή έλλειψη ιμάντα.

Το μηχάνημα δεν κινείται ελεύθερα • Ελέγξτε την κάτω πλευρά της πλάκας για συσσώρευση υλικού.

APPLICATIONS

Le compacteur à plaque est une machine qui compacte le sol et vise à rendre la surface lisse, en transmeant des vibraons par l'intermédiaire d'une plaque

vibrante, dont la puissance est générée par un seul moteur dans le boîer du vibrateur. Cee machine convient pour rendre la surface du sol lisse, niveler le

sol, l'échouage et la nion du pavage d'asphalte.

Les applicaons sont les suivantes :

• Compactage de tranchées Travaux de terrassement

• Entreen des routes Aménagement paysager

• Pavage en briques Revêtements d'allées

• Travaux de terrassement

• Revêtements d'allées

Cee machine a du mal à avancer sur un sol contenant beaucoup d'eau (en parculier un sol argileux). Elle n'est pas adaptée à ce type d'applicaon. Cee

machine a du mal à niveler un sol comprenant de grosses pierres en raison d'une force de compactage insusante. Le compacteur à plaque est principalement

ulisé pour compacter des surfaces plus lisses et il n'est pas ecace pour les travaux qui nécessitent un compactage important. Il est recommandé de l'uliser

lorsqu'il s'agit de compacter le sol en profondeur dans la couche inférieure. Le pilon de compactage, le compacteur vibrant et le rouleau vibrant, qui compactent

la force, sont plutôt ecaces. Il est recommandé d'uliser ce compacteur pour compacter le sol de surface, les sédiments, le sable, l'échouage et l'asphalte. Il

n'est pas recommandé de l'uliser pour d'autres applicaons.

Moteur:

Le moteur est commandé par un interrupteur marche/arrêt ou un bouton-poussoir monté sur le moteur, sous le réservoir de carburant. La vitesse du moteur

est contrôlée par un levier d'accéléraon à distance monté sur la poignée de la machine. Le moteur est équipé d'un disposif d'alerte d'huile qui arrête le

moteur ou empêche son démarrage. La vitesse du moteur est contrôlée par un levier d'accéléraon à distance monté sur la poignée de la machine. Les moteurs

sont équipés d'un disposif d'alerte qui arrête le moteur ou empêche le démarrage lorsque le niveau d'huile du carter tombe en dessous d'un seuil de sécurité.

Courroie d'entraînement:

La tension de la courroie d'entraînement est réglable. Desserrez les quatre écrous qui xent le moteur à la plaque de base, ajustez les vis de réglage qui s'appuient sur

le carter du moteur pour obtenir la tension de courroie requise. Veillez à ce que les quatre écrous et les contre-écrous des vis de réglage soient serrés après le réglage.

FONCTIONS ET CONTRÔLES

POUR UN FONCTIONNEMENT EN TOUTE SÉCURITÉ

Ce symbole d'alerte de sécurité idene des messages de sécurité importants dans ce manuel et sur la machine.

Lorsque vous voyez ce symbole, lisez aenvement le message qui suit. Votre sécurité est en danger!

Avant-propos:

Il est important de lire aenvement ce manuel an de bien comprendre les caractérisques opéraonnelles et les performances du compacteur à plaque. Des

procédures d'entreen appropriées assureront une longue durée de vie et des performances opmales de l'unité.

Sécurité:

Cee secon décrit les procédures de sécurité de base qui s'appliquent au fonconnement, à l'entreen et au réglage du compacteur à plaque. Cee unité est

conçue comme une machine puissante et producve qui doit être ulisée avec respect et prudence. Une mauvaise ulisaon ou un manque d'aenon peut

entraîner des blessures graves ou des dommages, voire les deux. Les mesures de sécurité doivent être observées à tout moment.

Qualicaons de l'opérateur :

Avant d'uliser cet équipement, l'ulisateur doit lire ce manuel. Dans la mesure du possible, un opérateur expérimenté doit lui montrer comment uliser

l'appareil. L'inexpérience est dangereuse lors de l'ulisaon d'une machine ou d'un accessoire. Ce n'est pas en procédant par essais et erreurs que l'on se

familiarise avec un équipement. Cela coûte cher et réduit la durée de vie de l'équipement.

CAUSION

Sécurité générale:

Une protecon est nécessaire. Porter un casque de sécurité, un verre incassable, des boes à embout d'acier et d'autres disposifs de protecon requis par les

condions de travail. Évitez les bijoux et les vêtements amples. Ils pourraient se coincer dans les commandes ou les pièces mobiles et provoquer des blessures

graves.

Sécurité au démarrage:

Fumées toxiques. Ne démarrez et n'ulisez l'appareil que dans un endroit bien venlé. L'inhalaon des gaz d'échappement peut entraîner des maladies ou la

mort.

Sécurité de l'entreen:

Liquide inammable: Arrêtez le moteur et ne fumez pas et ne permeez pas que l'on travaille dans les environs immédiats lorsque vous faites le plein. Des

ammes ou des éncelles pourraient provoquer un incendie ou une explosion.

Pièces mobiles: Arrêter le moteur avant d'intervenir.

Entreen ou maintenance: Le contact avec les pièces mobiles peut provoquer des blessures graves.

Température: Laissez la machine et le moteur refroidir avant de procéder à l'entreen ou à la maintenance. Le contact avec des composants chauds peut

provoquer des blessures graves.

ARRÊT

ARRÊT D'URGENCE

Mere la manee des gaz en posion "OFF" et mere l'interrupteur d'arrêt en posion "OFF".

ARRÊT NORMAL

Déplacez rapidement la manee des gaz de "ON" à "OFF" et faites tourner le moteur pendant 3 à 5 minutes à faible vitesse. Lorsque le moteur a refroidi, placez

l'interrupteur d'arrêt en posion "OFF" et fermez le robinet d'arrêt du carburant.

DANGERS ET RISQUES

Ne laissez jamais une personne uliser la machine sans instrucons adéquates.

Veillez à ce que tous les opérateurs lisent, comprennent et respectent les instrucons d'ulisaon.

Une ulisaon incorrecte ou imprudente de cee machine peut entraîner des blessures graves.

Les compacteurs à plaque sont des unités lourdes et doivent être posionnés par deux personnes de force appropriée, en ulisant les poignées de levage

fournies sur la machine, ainsi que les techniques de levage correctes.

RISQUES MÉCANIQUES

Ne pas uliser la machine si tous les disposifs de protecon ne sont pas en place.

Ne pas approcher les mains et les pieds des pièces rotaves et mobiles, car elles peuvent provoquer des blessures en cas de contact.

Assurez-vous que l'interrupteur du moteur est en posion d'arrêt et que le l d'allumage de la bougie est débranché avant de rerer les protecons ou

d'eectuer des réglages.

Assurez-vous que la machine et l'opérateur sont stables en vous installant sur un terrain plat et que la machine ne se renverse pas, ne glisse pas et ne tombe

pas lorsqu'elle est en marche ou sans surveillance.

Ne laissez pas la machine fonconner sans surveillance.

S'assurer que les parois d'une tranchée sont stables et ne s'eondreront pas sous l'eet des vibraons avant de commencer le compactage.

S'assurer que la zone à compacter ne conent pas de câbles électriques sous tension, de services de gaz, d'eau ou de communicaon qui pourraient être

endommagés par l'acon des vibraons.

Faire preuve de prudence lors de l'ulisaon de l'appareil. L'exposion à des vibraons ou à des tâches répéves peut être nocive pour les mains et les bras.

Ne montez jamais sur l'appareil lorsqu'il fonconne.

Ne pas augmenter la vitesse du moteur à vide au-delà de 3 500 tr/min. Toute augmentaon peut entraîner des blessures et endommager la machine.

Veillez à ne pas entrer en contact avec le silencieux lorsque le moteur est chaud, car cela peut provoquer de graves brûlures.

Veillez à ce que les réparaons du moteur et de la machine soient eectuées par des spécialistes.

RISQUES D'INCENDIE ET D'EXPLOSION

L'essence est extrêmement inammable et explosive dans certaines condions.

Veillez à ce que l'essence ne soit stockée que dans un récipient homologué.

Ne faites pas le plein lorsque le moteur est en marche ou chaud.

Ne faites pas le plein à proximité d'éncelles, d'une amme nue ou d'une personne qui fume.

Ne remplissez pas trop le réservoir de carburant et évitez de renverser de l'essence lorsque vous faites le plein. L'essence ou les vapeurs d'essence renversées
