Mains plug

This apparatus is fitted with an approved 13 Amp plug.

To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows:

1 Remove fuse cover and fuse.

2 Fix new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp,

A.S.T.A. or BSI approved type.

3 Refit the fuse cover.

If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlets,

it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its

place. If the mains plug contains a fuse, this should

have a value of 5 Amp. If a plug without a fuse is used,

the fuse at the distribution board should not be greater

than 5 Amp.

Note: The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a

possible shock hazard should it be inserted into a

13 Amp socket elsewhere.

How to connect a plug

The wires in the mains lead are coloured with the

following code: blue = neutral (N), brown = live (L). As

these colours may not correspond with the colour

markings identifying the terminals in your plug,

proceed as follows:

• Connect the blue wire to the terminal marked N or

coloured black.

• Connect the brown wire to the terminal marked L or

coloured red.

• Do not connect either wire to the earth terminal in

the plug, marked E (or e) or coloured green (or green

and yellow).

Before replacing the plug cover, make certain that the

cord grip is clamped over the sheath of the lead - not

simply over the two wires.

Set the POWER slider to the desired sound source:

CD, TAPE, or BAND (for radio).

The set is switched off when the POWER slider is set to OOFFFF/TAPE

and the keys of the tape deck are released.

Note: If you use batteries, switch the set off after use. This will

avoid unnecessary power consumption.

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control.

Increase and decrease the bass level by pressing DBB.

The bass level can also be emphasised if you place the set against

wall or shelf. Do not cover any vents; leave sufficient room around

the unit for ventilation.

1 Set the POWER slider to FM or MW to select the desired

wave band.

2 Tune to the desired radio station by using the TUNING wheel.

Improving RADIO reception

For FM stations, pull out the telescopic antenna. To improve the

signal, incline and turn the antenna. Reduce its length if the signal

is too strong (very close to a transmitter).

For MW stations, direct the built-in antenna by turning the whole

set. The telescopic antenna is not needed.

Réglez le commutateur coulissant POWER sur la source audio

voulue: CD, TAPE, or BAND (pour la radio).

L’appareil est arrêté lorsque le commutateur coulissant POWER est

en position OOFFFF/TAPE et que les touches des deux platines

cassettes sont relâchées.

Remarque: si vous utilisez des piles, arrêtez la chaîne après usage,

pour éviter une consommation inutile.

Réglez le volume au moyen du régulateur VOLUME.

Augmentez ou réduisez le niveau des basses en appuyant sur DBB.

Le niveau des basses peut également être accentué en plaçant la

chaîne contre un mur ou une étagère. Ne couvrez pas les fentes

d’aération et laissez suffisamment d’espace autour de la chaîne

pour permettre à l’air de circule.

1 Réglez le commutateur coulissant POWER sur FM ou MW pour

sélectionner la bande de fréquence désirée.

2 Réglez la station radio voulue au moyen du bouton TUNING.

Améliorer la réception radio

Pour la réception FM, déployez l’antenne télescopique. Pour

améliorer le signal, tournez et inclinez l’antenne. Réduisez sa

longueur si le signal est trop puissant (émetteur très proche).

Pour la réception MW, orientez l’antenne intégrée en tournant

l’appareil tout entier. L’antenne télescopique n’est pas nécessaire.

Colocar el interruptor POWER en la posición correspondiente a la

fuente de sonido deseada: CD, TAPE o BAND (para radio).

El equipo se encuentra inicialmente desconectado cuando el

interruptor POWER se encuentra en posición OOFFFF/TAPE y ninguna

de las teclas de las dos platinas se encuentra presionada.

Nota:

Si utiliza pilas, desconecte el aparato después de utilizarlo.

Esto evitará un consumo innecesario de energía.

Ajustar el volumen utilizando el control VOLUME.

Puede aumentarse o disminuirse el nivel de frecuencias graves

pulsando DBB.

Es posible también aumentar el nivel de graves si coloca el

aparato contra el pared o una estantería. No cubrir las ranuras de

ventilación; dejar espacio suficiente alrededor de la unidad para

la ventilación.

1 Coloque el botón POWER en la posición FM o MW, para

seleccionar la banda de onda deseada.

2 Sintonice la emisora de radio deseada utilizando el TUNING.

Mejora de la recepción de RADIO

Para FM, extender la antena telescópica. Para mejorar la

señal,inclinar y girar la antena. Reducir su longitud si la señal es

demasiado fuerte (muy cercana al transmisor).

Para MW, dirigir la antena incorporada en el interior del equipo

girando el equipo completo. En este caso no es necesaria la antena

telescópica.

Schieben Sie den Schalter POWER in die Position für die

gewünschte Tonquelle: CD, TAPE oder BAND (für Radio).

Das Gerät ist ausgeschaltet, wenn der sich der Schalter POWER in

der Position OOFFFF/TAPE befindet und die Tasten des Kassetten-

recorders entriegelt sind.

Anmerkung: Wenn Sie das Gerät mit Batterien betreiben, schalten

Sie das Gerät nach der Verwendung aus. Dies hilft

unnötigen Energieverbrauch zu vermeiden.

Regeln Sie die Lautstärke mit dem Regler VOLUME.

Verstärken und verringern Sie den Bass durch drücken der Taste DBB.

Sie können die Basswiedergabe auch verstärken, indem Sie das

Gerät an eine Wand oder in ein Fach stellen. Decken Sie keine

Belüftungsöffnungen ab; achten Sie darauf, daß um das Gerät

genug Raum zur Luftzirkulation vorhanden ist.

1 Schieben Sie den Schalter POWER auf FM oder MW um den

gewünschten Wellenbereich zu wählen.

2 Stellen Sie den gewünschten Sender mit dem Rad TUNING ein.

Verbessern des Radioempfangs

Für FM Sender, ziehen Sie die Teleskopantenne aus. Drehen und

schwenken Sie die Antenne um den Empfang zu verbessern. Wenn

das Signal zu stark ist (in Sendernähe), reduzieren Sie die

Antennenlänge.

Für MW Sender, richten Sie die eingebaute Antenne aus indem Sie

das Gerät drehen. Die Teleskopantenne ist in diesem Fall nicht

notwendig.

Stel de POWER-schuif op de gewenste geluidsbron in: CD, TAPE,

or BAND (voor radio).

Het toestel wordt uitgeschakeld, als de POWER-schuif op OOFFFF/TAPE

staat en de toetsen van beide tape decks gedeblokkeerd worden.

Opmerking: Als u batterijen gebruikt, schakel het toestel na

gebruik dan uit. Daardoor wordt onnodig

stroomverbruik vermeden.

Stel de geluidssterkte met behulp van de VOLUME toets in.

Versterk en verzwak het basniveau door indrukken van de toets DBB.

Het niveau van de bassen kan ook versterkt worden, wanneer het

toestel tegen een muur of rek wordt geplaatst. Dek de ventilatoren

niet af en zorg ten behoeve van een goede ventilatie voor

voldoende plaats rondom het toestel.

1 Zet de POWER schuif op FM of MW om het gewenste

golfband te kiezen.

2 Stem met behulp van de TUNING knop af op de gewenste

radiozender.

Verbeteren van de radio-ontvangst

Voor FM: trek de telescoopantenne eruit. Ter verbetering van het

signaal moet de antenne gebogen en gedraaid worden. Maak hem

korter als het signaal te sterk is (erg dichtbij een zender).

Voor MW: richt de ingebouwde antenne door het hele toestel te

draaien. De telescoopantenne wordt niet benodigd.

U kunt een aantal sporen kiezen en deze in de gewenste volgorde in

het geheugen opslaan. U kunt elk spoor meer dan één keer opslaan. Er

kunnen maximaal 20 sporen in het geheugen worden opgeslagen

1 Als de CD gestopt is, kiest u het gewenste spoor met ∞ of §.

2 Zodra het nummer van het gewenste spoor op het display wordt

aangegeven, drukt u CD MODE in om het spoor in het geheugen

op te slaan.

dan wordt het nummer van het opgeslagen spoor

3 Op deze wijze kunnen alle gewenste sporen worden gekozen

en opgeslagen.

4 U kunt uw instellingen controleren door CD MODE in te drukken

en langer dan 1 seconde ingedrukt te houden.

aan.

Als u probeert meer dan 20 sporen op te slaan, wordt F op het

display aangegeven.

Stel het toestel, de batterijen, CD’s of bandjes niet bloot aan vocht,

regen, zand of overmatige hitte (veroorzaakt door verwarmingen of

direct zonlicht).

De mechanische delen van dit toestel bevatten kussenbloks met

ringsmering die niet geolied of gesmeerd mogen worden!

U kunt het toestel met een zacht, vochtig, pluisvrij doekje

schoonmaken. Gebruik geen reinigingsmiddelen, deze zouden het

toestel kunnen aantasten.

Om een zuivere opname- en weergavekwaliteit te waarborgen

moeten de delen A, B en C na een gebruik van ongeveer 50 uur

worden schoongemaakt. Gebruik een wattestaafje dat in alcohol of

kopreinigingsmiddel is gedrenkt.

Druk PLAY 1 in en reinig de rubber drukrollen A.

Druk PAUSE ; in en reinig de capstans B en de koppen C.

Opmerking: De koppen

C

kunnen ook worden gereinigd door een

reinigingsbandje één keer af te spelen.

De lens X van de CD speler mag nooit worden aangeraakt. Houd

de lade altijd gesloten om stof op de lens te vermijden.

De lens kan beslaan als het toestel plotseling van een koude naar

een warme omgeving wordt gebracht. Dan is het afspelen van een

CD niet mogelijk. Laat de CD speler in een warme omgeving staan

tot het vocht verdampt is.

Druk bij het optillen van de CD op de middelste spil, zo kan de CD

makkelijk uit de box worden genomen. Pak de CD altijd bij de rand

vast en leg hem na gebruik terug in de box.

Voor het reinigen van de CD veegt u met een zacht, pluisvrij doekje

in een rechte lijn van het midden naar de rand. Een

reinigingsmiddel kan de disc beschadigen!

Schrijf nooit op een CD en plak er geen stickers op

Aprire il vano batterie dell’apparecchio ed inserire 6 batterie, del

tipo R20, UM-1 oppure celle D (preferibilmente alcaline).

Rimuovere le batterie una volta scariche o quando si prevede di

non utilizzare l’apparecchio per un periodo prolungato.

Le batterie contengono sostanze chimiche, e devono essere

smaltite in modo adeguato.

1 Controllare che la tensione di rete indicata sulla targhetta dati

corrisponda alla tensione di rete locale. Se così non fosse,

consultare il rivenditore o l’organizzazione di assistenza.

La

targhetta dati si trova sul lato inferiore dell’apparecchio.

2 Se l’apparecchio è dotato di selettore di tensione A, impostare

quest’ultimo sulla tensione di rete locale.

3 Collegare il cavo di rete alla presa AC MAINS ed alla presa a

parete. Si attiva così l’alimentazione dalla rete.

Il cavo di rete

si trova all’interno del vano batterie.

L’alimentazione mediante batterie viene esclusa quando si collega

l’apparecchio alla rete. Per passare all’alimentazione mediante

batterie, estrarre la spina dalla presa AC MAINS dell’unità.

Per scollegare completamente l’apparecchio dalla rete, rimuovere

la spina di rete dalla presa a parete.

Informazioni sulla tutela dell’ambiente

Tutto il materiale d’imballaggio superfluo è stato eliminato. Abbiamo fatto il possibile per rendere

l’imballaggio facilmente suddivisibile in tre singoli materiali: cartone (scatole), polistirolo espanso

(protezione), polietilene (sacchetti, foglio protettivo in schiuma di lattice).

L’apparecchio è costituito da materiali che possono essere riciclati se disassemblati da una società

specializzata. Osservare le leggi vigenti in materia di eliminazione dei materiali da imballaggio,

delle batterie scariche e dei vecchi apparecchi.

Portare il cursore POWER sulla sorgente sonora desiderata: CD,

TAPE o BAND (per la radio).

L’apparecchio è spento quando il cursore POWER si trova in posizione

OOFFFF/TAPE e i tasti delle due piastre delle cassette non sono attivi.

Nota: Se si utilizzano le batterie, spegnere l’apparecchio dopo

l’uso. Si eviterà così un inutile consumo di energia.

Regolare il volume utilizzando il comando VOLUME.

Aumentare e diminuire il livello dei bassi premendo DBB.

Si può inoltre accentuare il livello dei bassi collocando

l’apparecchio contro il muro o uno scaffale. Non coprire le

aperture; lasciare sufficiente spazio intorno all’unità per consentire

la ventilazione.

1 Portare il cursore POWER su FM o MW per selezionare la banda

desiderata.

2 Sintonizzarsi sulla stazione radio desiderata utilizzando il

selettore rotondo TUNING.

Per migliorare la ricezione RADIO

In FM, estrarre l’antenna telescopica. Per migliorare il segnale,

inclinare e ruotare l’antenna. Ridurne la lunghezza se il segnale è

troppo forte (molto vicino ad un trasmettitore).

In MW, orientare l’antenna incorporata ruotando l’intero

l’apparecchio. Non è necessaria l’antenna telescopica.

1 Impostare il cursore POWER su CD.

2 Premere / OPEN per aprire il coperchio.

3 Introdurre un CD audio (con il lato stampato in alto) e chiudere il

coperchio.

™ Il lettore CD si avvia e legge l’indice del CD. Poi il lettore CD

si ferma. Indicazione a display: il numero totale di brani.

4 Premere il tasto 2; per cominciare la riproduzione del CD.

™ Indicazione a display: il numero del brano corrente.

5 Premere il tasto 9 per interrompere la riproduzione del CD.

™ Indicazione a display: il numero totale dei brani.

E’ possibile interrompere la riproduzione del CD premendo 2;. Si

prosegue la riproduzione del CD premendo di nuovo il tasto.

™ Indicazione a display: il numero del brano corrente

(lampeggiante).

Nota: la riproduzione del CD si interromperà anche quando:

– si apre il coperchio,

– si raggiunge la fine del CD,

– se si sposta il cursore

POWER.

Se si commette un errore durante il funzionamento del lettore CD,

o se il lettore CD non è in grado di leggere il CD, sul display

compaiono E oppure no. (Vedere “RICERCA GUASTI”).

Se si preme 2; e non vi è alcun CD inserito, sul display compare no.

Come selezionare un altro brano

brevemente il tasto ∞ o § una o più volte per saltare all’inizio

del brano corrente, precedente o seguente.

Durante la riproduzione del CD:

la riproduzione del CD prosegue automaticamente con il brano

selezionato.

Quando la riproduzione del CD viene interrotta:

premere 2; per iniziare la riproduzione del CD.

™ Indicazione a display: il numero del brano selezionato.

Come cercare un passaggio durante la riproduzione del CD

1 Tenere premuto il tasto ∞ o § per trovare un passaggio

particolare in direzione avanti o indietro.

™ La riproduzione del CD prosegue a basso volume.

2 Rilasciare il tasto una volta raggiunto il passaggio desiderato.

Nota: nei diversi modi CD o quando si riproduce un programma, la

ricerca è possibile solo all’interno del brano particolare.

1 Durante la riproduzione del CD premere ripetutamente

CD MODE per far comparire a display i diversi modi di

riproduzione.

™

SHUFFLE: tutti i brani del CD (o del programma) vengono

riprodotti in ordine casuale.

™

SHUFFLE REPEAT ALL: tutti i brani del CD (o programma)

vengono riprodotti ripetutamente in ordine casuale.

™

REPEAT: viene riprodotto ripetutamente il brano corrente.

™

REPEAT ALL: l’intero CD (o programma) viene riprodotto

ripetutamente.

2 Dopo che l’indicazione è rimasta a display lampeggiando per

2 secondi, ha inizio la riproduzione del CD nel modo selezionato.

3 Per ritornare alla normale riproduzione del CD, premere

CD MODE finché non scompaia l’indicazione a display.
