dieses Werkzeugs die vorliegende Betriebs-

anleitung vor der ersten Inbetrieb nahme

gründlich durchgelesen und verstanden hat.

Hinweise, die zum sicheren und störungs-

freien Betrieb Ihres HAZET-Werkzeuges

erforderlich sind.

• Zum bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch

des Werkzeuges gehört die vollständige

Beachtung aller Sicherheitshinweise und

Informationen in dieser Betriebsanleitung.

• Bewahren Sie deshalb diese Betriebs an lei-

tung immer bei Ihrem HAZET-Werkzeug auf.

• Dieses Werkzeug wurde für bestimmte

2. Bestimmungsgemäße

Verwendung

Die Betriebssicherheit ist nur bei bestim-

mungs gemäßer Verwendung entsprechend

der Angaben in der Betriebsanleitung

gewährleistet. Neben den Arbeitssicherheits-

Hinweisen in dieser Betriebsanleitung sind die

für den Ein satz bereich des Gerätes allgemein

gültigen Sicherheits-, Unfallverhütungs- und

Umwelt schutz-Vorschriften zu beachten und

einzuhalten.

Die Benutzung und Wartung muss immer

entsprechend den lokalen staatlichen Landes-

oder Bundes bestim mungen erfolgen.

• Stellen Sie mit dem HAZET Kühlsystem-

Reiniger einen optimalen Betrieb des

Kühlsystems sicher.

• Motorkühlmittel zersetzt sich mit der

Zeit und führt höchstwahrscheinlich mit

Abriebpartikeln und Fremdkörpern zur

Kontamination.

• Beugen Sie diesem vor, indem Sie das

Kühlsystem gelegentlich und beim

Austausch von Teilen des Kühlsystems spü-

len. Der HAZET Kühlsystem-Reiniger funk-

tioniert ohne Einsatz von Lösungsmitteln

oder aggressiven Chemikalien.

• HAZET Kühlsystem-Reiniger kom-

biniert Wasser mit Druckluft um die

Leistungsfähigkeit zu erhöhen. Der Druckluft

erhöht den Wasserdruck im Verhältnis zum

Wasser, das von der Wasserversorgung

kommt.

• HAZET Kühlsystem-Reiniger ist mit einem ½“

/ ø13 mm Anschluss für Wasserkupplungen

ausgestattet. Wir empfehlen den Einsatz

eines Schlauchanschlusses mit einem

Steuerventil. Das erspart Ihnen einen Gang

zum Wasserhahn, um den Wasserfluss

anzupassen oder abzustellen.

• Setzen Sie die abgestufte Pistolendüse

des HAZET Kühlsystem-Reinigers in den

für die Spülaufgabe geeigneten Schlauch

und spülen Sie so viel wie nötig, bis der

Ausfluss aus Kühler/Motorblock/Heizkern

klar ist. Blasen Sie, während Wasser durch

das System fließt, kurze, unterbrochene

Luftstöße ab, um die Wirksamkeit zu erhö-

hen. Um Schaden zu vermeiden, muss die

Passage durch das Kühlsystem frei sein

bevor die Spülung anfängt.

1. Verantwortung

des Betreibers

• Das Gerät ist zum Zeitpunkt seiner Ent-

wick lung und Fertigung nach geltenden,

anerkannten Regeln der Technik gebaut

und gilt als betriebssicher. Es können

vom Gerät jedoch Gefahren ausgehen,

wenn es von nicht fachgerecht ausgebil-

detem Per sonal, unsachgemäß oder nicht

bestimmungsgemäß, verwendet wird.

Jede Per son, die mit Arbeiten am oder mit

dem Gerät beauftragt ist, muss daher die

Betriebsanleitung vor Beginn der Arbeiten

gelesen und verstanden haben.

• Veränderungen jeglicher Art sowie An- oder

Umbauten am Gerät sind untersagt.

• Alle Sicherheits-, Warn- und Bedienungs-

hin weise am Gerät sind stets in gut les-

barem Zustand zu halten. Beschädigte

Schil der oder Aufkleber müssen sofort

erneuert werden.

• Angegebene Einstellwerte oder -bereiche

sind unbedingt einzuhalten.

• Betriebsanleitung stets in unmittelbarer

Nähe des Geräts aufbewahren.

• Gerät nur in technisch einwandfreiem und

betriebssicherem Zustand betreiben.

• Sicherheitseinrichtungen immer frei er -

reich bar vorhalten und regelmäßig prüfen.

• Der unsachgemäße Gebrauch des HAZET

Kühlsystem-Reinigers oder der Gebrauch

nicht entsprechend der Sicherheitshinweise

kann zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum

Tode führen.

• Jede über die bestimmungsgemäße

Verwendung hinausgehende und/oder

andersartige Verwendung der Geräte ist

untersagt und gilt als nicht bestimmungs-

gemäß.

• Ansprüche jeglicher Art gegen den Hersteller

und/oder seine Bevollmächtigten wegen

Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer

Verwendung der Geräte sind ausgeschlos-

sen.

• Für alle Schäden bei nicht bestimmungs-

gemäßer Verwendung haftet allein der

Betreiber.

3. Gefahren die vom

Gerät ausgehen

Vor jeder Benutzung ist das HAZET-Werkzeug

auf seine volle Funk tions fähigkeit zu prüfen.

Ist die Funk tions fähig keit nach dem Ergebnis

dieser Prüfung nicht gewährleistet oder werden

Schäden festgestellt, darf das Werkzeug nicht

verwendet werden. Ist die volle Funktions-

fähigkeit nicht gegeben und das Werkzeug

wird dennoch verwendet, be steht die Gefahr

von erheblichen Kör per-, Ge sund heits- und

Sach schäden.

• Keine Werkzeuge verwenden, bei denen der

Ein-/Aus-Schalter defekt ist. Werkzeuge, die

nicht mehr mit dem Ein-/Aus-Schalter ein-

bzw. ausgeschaltet werden können, sind

gefährlich und müssen repariert werden.

• Alle Service- oder Repara turarbeiten immer

durch Fachpersonal ausführen lassen. Um

die Betriebssicherheit auf Dauer zu gewähr-

leisten, dürfen nur Originalersatzteile ver-

wendet werden.

• Schutzvorrichtungen und/oder Gehäuseteile

dürfen nicht entfernt werden.

• Betätigen Sie das Werkzeug nie, wenn eine

Schutzabdeckung fehlt oder wenn nicht alle

Sicherheitseinrichtungen vorhanden und in

einwandfreiem Zustand sind.

• Aus Sicherheitsgründen sind Verän der-

ungen an HAZET-Werkzeugen untersagt.

Die Vornahme von Veränderungen am

Gerät führt zum sofortigen

Haftungs ausschluß.

• Arbeitshandschuhe und

Schutzbrille tragen.

Werkzeuge mit pneuma-

tischem Antrieb können

Späne, Staub und anderen

Abrieb mit hoher Geschwin-

digkeit aufwirbeln, was zu

schweren Augenver letz-

ungen führen kann. Druckluft

ist gefährlich. Der Luftstrom

kann empfindliche Körper-

teile wie Augen, Ohren etc. schädigen. Vom

Luftstrom aufgewirbelte Gegenstände und

Staub können zu Verletzungen führen.

• Gehörschutz tragen. Lange

Belastung durch die Arbeits-

geräusche eines Druckluft-

werk zeuges kann zum dau-

erhaften Gehörverlust führen.

• Gesichtsmaske oder

Atem schutz tragen. Einige

Materialien wie Klebstoffe

und Teer enthalten Chemi-

kalien, deren Dämpfe, über

einen längeren Zeitraum

eingeatmet, schwere

Schädigungen verursachen können.

• Enganliegende Arbeits-

schutzkleidung tragen.

oder anderen losen Gegen ständen verfan-

gen, was zu schweren Verletzungen führen

kann. Tragen Sie niemals zu weite und/

oder mit Bändern oder Schlaufen etc. verse-

hene Kleidung, die sich in den bewegenden

Werkzeugteilen verfangen kann. Legen Sie

bei der Arbeit sämtlichen Schmuck, Uhren,

Identifikations marken, Armbänder, Hals-

ketten etc. ab, die sich am Werkzeug verfan-

gen könnten. Fassen Sie niemals Werkzeug-

teile an, die in Bewegung sind. Lange Haare

sollen zusammengebunden oder bedeckt

werden.

• Druckluftwerkzeuge gehören nicht in

Kinderhände. Unbeaufsichtigte oder an die

Druckluftzufuhr angeschlossene Werkzeuge

können von nicht autorisierten Personen

benutzt werden und zu deren oder zur

Verletzung dritter Personen führen.

• Gerät nicht in explosionsgefährdeten

Räumen verwenden. Werkzeuge wie

Schleifer können Funkenschlag verur-

sachen, der zur Entzündung brennbarer

Materialien führen kann. Werkzeuge nie

der Nähe von brennbaren Substanzen wie

Benzin, Naphtha oder Reinigungsmitteln etc.

Bereichen arbeiten, in denen sich keine

brennbaren Materialien befinden. Niemals

Sauerstoff, Kohlendioxid oder andere in

Flaschen abgefüllte Gase zum Antrieb von

Druckluftwerkzeugen verwenden.

• Gerät nicht auf andere Personen richten.

Bei Betrieb des Werkzeuges Kinder und

andere Personen aus dem Arbeitsbereich

fernhalten.

• Gerät nicht im Leer lauf betreiben.

• Druckluftwerkzeuge dürfen nicht in

Kontakt mit Stromquellen kommen.

• Auf Betriebsdruck achten, max. Luftdruck

siehe Tabelle Seite 7. Das Überschreiten des

zulässigen Maximaldrucks von Werkzeugen

und Zubehörteilen kann Explosionen ver-

ursachen und zu schweren Verletzungen

führen. Der Maximaldruck der Druckluft

muss gleich oder unterhalb der zulässigen

Druckbelastungsangaben der Schleifer lie-

gen.

• Schlauchverbindung auf festen Sitz prü-

fen. Keine schadhaften Druckschläuche

verwenden. Umherschlagende Druck-

schläuche können zu schweren Verletzungen

führen.

• Druckluftwerkzeuge nur im drucklosen

Zustand abklemmen. Umherschlagende

Druckschläuche können zu schweren

Verletzungen führen.

• Nur trockene, saubere Luft verwen-

den. Verwenden Sie niemals Sauerstoff,

Kohlendioxid oder andere in Flaschen

abgefüllte Gase zum Antrieb von

Druckluftwerkzeugen.

• Verwenden Sie nur vom Hersteller emp-

fohlene Ersatzteile, Befestigungen und

Zubehör.

• Das Werkzeug niemals am Druckluft-

schlauch tragen.

• Das angeschlossene Werkzeug niemals

mit dem Finger am Betätigungshebel

tragen.

• Unbeabsichtigte Betätigung vermeiden.

• Griffe immer trocken, sauber, öl- und fett-

frei halten.

• Achten Sie auf einen sauberen, gut gelüf-

teten und stets gut beleuchteten Arbeits-

bereich.

• Das Werkzeug niemals unter Alkohol-

oder Drogeneinfluss benutzen.

• Reparaturen nur von autorisierten

Personen durchführen lassen.

• Kennzeichnung des Gerätes muss

immer gut lesbar sein. Der Bediener ist

dafür verantwortlich, dass die Plakette

mit Warnhinweis, Drehzahl, Serien- und

Artikel-No. unbeschädigt und gut lesbar

ist.

3. Stellen Sie einen großen Behälter unter das

Ablassventil

an der Unterseite des Kühlers.

Sehen Sie in der Gebrauchsanleitung des

Fahrzeugs nach, wo sich alle Ablassventile

für das Kühlmittel im Motorblock und

Kühlsystem befinden.

4. Lösen Sie das Ablassventil

und las-

sen Sie das Kühlmittel vollständig ablaufen.

Wenn der Kühler kein Ablassventil hat,

trennen Sie den unteren Kühlerschlauch

und lassen das Kühlmittel ablaufen.

Wenn das Fahrzeug mit einem separaten

Ausgleichsbehälter

versehen ist, tren-

nen Sie alle Verbindungsschläuche zum

Kühlsystem und lassen das Kühlmittel aus-

laufen.

5. Denken Sie an die Umwelt und entsorgen

Sie das alte Kühlmittel auf korrekte Weise.

6. Lesen Sie vor dem Start die

Gebrauchsanweisung vollständig durch

und befolgen sie sorgfältig.

7. Bereiten Sie das Fahrzeug

für die Spülung vor.

Kühler: Entfernen Sie den unteren

Kühlerschlauch

, den oberen

Kühlerschlauch

und, wenn möglich, ent-

fernen Sie das Ablassventil

vollstän-

dig, um am tiefsten Punkt des Kühlers ein

Ablaufen von Rückständen zu ermöglichen.

Motorblock: Entfernen Sie den

unteren Kühlerschlauch

, den oberen

Kühlerschlauch

und den Thermostat

. Heizkern: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass

das Heizregelventil

geöffnet ist, bevor Sie

versuchen, das Ventil durchzuspülen. Wenn

dies nicht bestätigt werden kann, dann

muss es entfernt werden.

8. Setzen Sie die abgestufte Pistolendüse

des HAZET Kühlsystem-Reinigers in den

für die Spülaufgabe geeigneten Schlauch

und spülen Sie so viel wie nötig, bis

der Ausfluss aus Kühler/Motorblock/

Heizkern klar ist. Blasen Sie, während

Wasser durch das System fließt, kurze,

unterbrochene Luftstöße ab, um die

Wirksamkeit zu erhöhen.

Kühler: Aufgrund der größeren Kammern

im Kühler ermöglicht das Spülen des

Kühlers zunächst kinetischen Wellen

den Gang durch das Wasser, wodurch

Rückstände wirksamer entfernt werden.

2. Vor Inbetriebnahme

Die Benutzung, Inspektion und

Wartung von Pneumatik-Werk-

zeugen muss immer entspre-

chend der lokalen, staatli-

chen Landes- oder Bundes-

bestimmungen erfolgen.

• Kompressortank entwässern und Kondens-

wasser aus den Luftleitungen entfernen.

Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung für den

Kompressor ebenfalls gründlich durch.

WICHTIG:

Die Verwendung von Luftfiltern ist zu

empfehlen.

• Werkzeug ölen, siehe Wartung in dieser

Gebrauchsanweisung.

• Entfernen Sie die Staubkappe am Druckluft-

Einlaß.

• Schließen Sie das Werkzeug an einen

Schlauch passender Größe an.

3. Inbetriebnahme

Ablassen des alten Kühlmittels

1. Sicherheit geht vor. Warten Sie vor Arbeiten

an Teilen des Kühlsystems stets, bis der

Motor abgekühlt ist.

2. Drücken Sie auf den Kühlerdeckel

, drehen

ihn langsam gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis es

zischt, warten bis das Zischen aufhört und

nehmen dann den Deckel ab.

13.Prüfen Sie den Kühlmittelstand des

Motors bei Betriebstemperatur und füllen

Sie bei Bedarf nach dem Abkühlen des

Motors nach.

14.Führen Sie eine abschließende

Sichtprüfung durch, um sicher zu gehen,

dass es keine Lecks gibt. Denken Sie

daran, dass manche Lecks erst sichtbar

werden, wenn der Motor kalt ist, aber ande-

re nur, wenn er heiß ist.

VORSICHT

Beim Spülen von in schlechtem

Zustand befindlichen Kühlsystemen

muss besondere Sorgfalt walten.

4. Wartung und Pflege

• Zur Reinigung des Werkzeugs oder sei-

ner Einzelteile wird der Gebrauch von

Waschbenzin empfohlen.

• Reinigen Sie nie mit Lösungsmitteln oder

Säuren, Estern (organischen Verbindungen

aus Säuren und Alkohol), Aceton (Keton),

Chlorkohlenwasserstoffen oder nitrokar-

bonathaltigen Ölen. Verwenden Sie keine

Chemikalien mit niedrigem Flammpunkt.

• Für die Inanspruchnahme des Kunden-

dienstes setzen Sie sich bitte mit Ihrem

Händler oder dem HAZET-Service Center in

Verbindung.

5. Störungen

Bei Störungen bitte Prüfen:

• Kompressionsanlage und Druckluft-

Zuleitung Luftverbrauch l/min und Schlauch-

querschnitt entsprechend den technischen

Daten des Gerätes

• Betriebsluft auf Staub und Rostanteile sowie

Kondensat untersuchen

• Überölung des Luftmotors

Fluten Sie den unteren Teil des Kühlers.

Spülen Sie bei aufgesetztem Kühlerdeckel

zuerst von unten nach oben. Nach ein

oder zwei Minuten spülen Sie das System

vom Hals abwärts. Heizkern: Schließen

Sie den HAZET Kühlsystem-Reiniger am

Einlassheizschlauch

an und beginnen

den Spülvorgang. Stellen Sie sicher, dass

das Heizregelventil

offen ist oder entfernt

wurde, wie oben beschrieben.

Motorblock: Schließen Sie den HAZET

Kühlsystem-Reiniger am oberen

Kühlerschlauch

an und fangen das

Wasser über den unteren Kühlerschlauch

auf.

9. Prüfen Sie die Kühlerschläuche, den

Thermostaten und die Wasserpumpe und

ersetzen sie bei Bedarf.

Auffüllen des Systems

10.Drehen Sie das Ablassventil

an der

Unterseite des Kühlers fest zu. Sorgen

Sie dafür, dass alle Schläuche richtig ange-

schlossen sind.

11. Befüllen Sie das Kühlsystem mit dem kor-

rekten, vom Fahrzeughersteller empfohle-

nen Kühlmittel und achten dabei darauf,

dass das Kühlsystem den Anweisungen

des Fahrzeugherstellers entsprechend

entlüftet wird. In dem Moment, in dem das

Kühlsystem abgelassen ist, wird es durch

Luft ersetzt. Wenn das System wieder

aufgefüllt wird, kann Luft im Kühlkreislauf

eingeschlossen werden. Luft im System

muss um jeden Preis vermieden werden.

Luftblasen senken den Kühlmittelkreislauf

erheblich und können zum Überhitzen des

Motors führen. Außerdem beschleunigen sie

den Korrosionsvorgang und verkürzen die

dass der Ausgleichsbehälter abmontiert/

geschlossene Luft entweichen kann. Daher

empfiehlt HAZET, hinsichtlich des vorge-

schriebenen Entlüftungsverfahrens immer die

Wartungsanleitung des Fahrzeugs zu prüfen.

2. Intended Use

Operational reliability is only guaran-

teed if the tool is used as intended in

accordance with the information in the ope-

rating instructions. In addition to the safety

advice in these operating instructions, the

general safety regulations, regulations for the

prevention of accidents and regulations for

environmental protection valid for this tool's

application range must be observed and

respected.

Use and maintenance of the tool must always

comply with relevant local and national regu-

lations.

• Ensure optimum use of the cooling system

with the HAZET cooling system cleaner.

• Engine coolant decomposes over time and

in all probability leads to contamination with

abrasion particles and foreign bodies.

• Prevent this by rinsing the cooling system

occasionally and by replacing parts of the

cooling system. The HAZET cooling system

cleaner functions without the use of sol-

vents or aggressive chemicals.

• HAZET cooling system cleaner combines

water with compressed air to increase per-

formance. The compressed air increases

the water pressure in relation to water that

comes from the water mains.

• HAZET cooling system cleaner is equipped

with a ½" / ø13 mm connection for water

couplings. We recommend the use of a

hose connection with a control valve. This

saves you a walk to the tap to control or

shut off the flow of water.

• Place the stepped pistol nozzle of the

HAZET cooling system cleaner in a hose

that is suitable for the flushing task and

flush the system until the outflow from the

radiator / engine block / heater core is clear.

While water flows through the system, blow

short, intermittent blasts of air to increase

effectiveness. To avoid damage, the pas-

sage through the cooling system must be

clear before commencing flushing.

• Incorrect use of the HAZET cooling system

cleaner or use that fails to comply with the

safety instructions can result in serious

injury or death.

1. Owner's

liability

• The tool was developed and manufactured

according to the technical norms and stan-

dards valid and recognised at the time and

is considered to be operationally reliable.

Nevertheless, the device may present a

danger when it is used in an incorrect or

inappropriate way or by non-qualified per-

sonnel. Please make sure that any person

using this tool or carrying out maintenance

work carefully reads and fully understands

these operating instructions before using

the tool.

• Any modification of the tool is strictly for-

bidden.

• All safety, warning and operating instruc-

tions on the device must be kept legible

at all times. All damaged labels or stickers

must be replaced immediately.

• All specified set values or ranges must be

observed.

• Always keep the operating instructions

close to the device.

• The tool must only be used if it is in good

working condition.

• All safety equipment must always be within

easy reach and should be checked regular-

ly.

• Any deviation from the intended use

and/or any misapplication of the tools

is not permitted and will be considered

as improper use.

• Any claims against the manufacturer and/

or its authorised agents because of damage

caused by improper use of the tools are

void.

• Any personal injury or material losses

caused by improper use of the tool are the

sole responsibility of the owner.

3. Dangers that may arise

from using the tool

Before each use, check the HAZET tool for full

functionality. Do not use the tool if its functio-

nal efficiency cannot be ensured or if damage

is detected. If you use the tool despite full

functionality not being guaranteed, this poses

a risk of serious injury, health problems and

material damage.

• Do not use tools with a defective On/Off

switch. Any tools that cannot be switched on

or off with the On/Off switch are dangerous

and must be repaired immediately.

• All service or repair work must be carried out

by qualified personnel only. Only use original

spare parts so as to guarantee its long-term

operational safety.

• Do not remove safety devices and/or hou-

sing parts.

• Never operate the tool when a protective

cover is missing or when not all of the safety

devices are fitted and in perfect condition.

• For safety reasons, any modification to

HAZET tools is strictly forbidden. Any modi-

fication of the tool will result in immediate

exclusion from express or implied warranty

and liability.

• Wear working gloves and

safety glasses.

Pneumatic tools can dis-

perse chips, dust and

other abraded particles

at high speed which may

result in severe eye injuries.

Compressed air is dan-

gerous. The air flow may

cause harm to sensitive parts

of the body like eyes, ears,

etc. Dust and objects being

raised by the air flow may cause injuries.

• Wear hearing protection.

Long exposure to the wor-

king noise of pneumatic tools

may result in permanent hea-

ring loss.

• Wear a face mask or brea-

thing protection. Breathing

in the vapour of some materi-

als like adhesives and chemi-

cals containing tar can, over

a prolonged period, cause

serious harm.

• Wear tight-fitting protective

clothing. Tools with moving

parts can get caught in your

hair, clothes, jewellery or

other loose objects, which

can lead to serious injury.

Never wear clothing that is

too loose and/or clothing with bands or

loops, etc. which may get caught in the

moving parts of the tool. During the work,

take off jewellery, watches, identification

tags, bracelets, necklaces etc. that could get

caught in the tool. Never touch the moving

parts of a tool. Long hair should be tied back

or covered.

• Keep pneumatic tools out of the hands of

children. Unattended tools or tools that are

connected to the compressed air supply may

be used by unauthorised persons and could

cause injury to them or to other persons.

• Do not use the tool in rooms with an

explosive atmosphere. Tools such as san-

ders can cause sparks that may ignite com-

bustible materials. Never operate tools in

proximity to combustible substances like

petrol, naphtha or detergents, etc. Work in

well-cleaned and well-ventilated areas only.

Keep combustible materials out of the work

area. Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide or

other bottled gases to power pneumatic

tools.

• Do not point the tool at another person.

Keep children and other persons out of the

work area when operating the tool.

• Do not operate the tool in an idle state.

• Do not allow pneumatic tools to come

into contact with sources of electricity.

• Pay attention to the working pressure. For

max. air pressure see table on page 15.

Exceeding the approved maximum pressure

of tools and accessories may cause explo-

sions and may result in severe injuries. The

maximum pressure of the compressed air

must be equal to or less than the approved

pressure load indicated for the sander.

• Check the air hose connections are fit-

ted tightly. Do not use defective pressu-

re hoses. Uncontrollably moving pressure

hoses may cause severe injuries.

• Only disconnect pneumatic tools in an

unpressurised state. Uncontrollably moving

pressure hoses may cause severe injuries.

• Only use clean and dry air. Never use oxy-

gen, carbon dioxide or other bottled gases

to power pneumatic tools.

• Only use spare parts, attachments and

accessories recommended by the manuf-

acturer.

• Never carry the tool by the compressed

air hose.

• Never carry the connected tool with a

finger on the operating lever.

• Avoid unintentional activation.

• Always keep the handles dry, clean and

free of grease or oil.

• Ensure that the working area is clean, well

ventilated and always well lit.

• Never use the tool whilst under the influ-

ence of alcohol or drugs.

• Repair work must be carried out exclusi-

vely by authorised persons.

• Labels on the tool must always be kept

legible. The user is responsible for ensu-

ring that the sticker stating warning

signs, rotation speed, the serial no. and

the article no. is not damaged and is easy

to read.

4. Release the drain valve

and let the coo-

lant drain completely. If the radiator has no

drain valve, disconnect the lower radiator

hose

and allow the coolant to drain. If

the vehicle has a separate expansion tank

, disconnect all connecting hoses from

the cooling system and allow the coolant

to drain.

5. Think of the environment and dispose of the

old coolant properly.

Flushing the system

6. Before commencing work, read the

instructions for use thoroughly and fol-

low them carefully.

7. Prepare the vehicle for flushing.

Radiator: Remove the lower radia-

tor hose

, the upper radiator hose

and, if possible, completely remove the

drain valve

to allow outflow of resi-

due at the lowest point of the radiator.

Engine block: Remove the lower radiator

hose

, the upper radiator hose

and the

thermostat

. Heater core: Ensure that

the heater regulator valve

is open before

attempting to flush through the valve. If this

cannot be confirmed it must be removed.

8. Place the stepped pistol nozzle of the

HAZET cooling system cleaner in a hose

that is suitable for the flushing task and

flush the system until the outflow from

the radiator / engine block / heater core

is clear. While water flows through the

system, blow short, intermittent blasts of

air to increase effectiveness.

Radiator: Due to the larger chambers in

the radiator, flushing the radiator initially

allows kinetic waves to pass through the

water, wherein residue is removed more

effectively. Flood the lower part of the radi-

ator. With the radiator cap in place, firstly

flush from the bottom to the top. After one

or two minutes, flush the system from the

neck downwards. Heater core: Connect

the HAZET cooling system cleaner to the

inlet hose

and commence the flushing

process. Ensure that the heater regulator

valve

is open or has been removed, as

described above.

2. Before starting the operation

The pneumatic tools must

always be used, inspected and

maintained in compliance with

the local government, state or

federal regulations.

• Drain the compressor tank and remove the

condensate from the air lines. Carefully read

through the operating instructions for the

compressor.

IMPORTANT:

We recommend using air filters.

• Lubricate the tool; see the section on main-

tenance in these operating instructions.

• Remove the dust cap on the compressed air

inlet.

• Connect the tool to a hose of suitable

size. Table on page 15.

3. Commissioning

Draining of old coolant

1. Safety is paramount. Wait until the engine

has cooled down before working on compo-

nents of the cooling system.

2. Press down on the radiator cap

, turn it

slowly anticlockwise until it hisses, wait until

the hissing stops and then remove the cap.

3. Place a large container beneath the drain

4. Maintenance and cleaning

• We recommend that white spirit is used to

clean tools or components thereof.

• Never clean with solvents or acids, esters

(organic compounds comprising acids

and alcohol), acetone (ketone), chlorinated

hydrocarbons or oils containing nitro hydro-

carbons. Do not use any chemicals with a

low burning point.

• For customer service, please contact your

HAZET distributor.

5. Malfunctions

If malfunctions occur, check the following:

• Compression system and compressed air

supply line, air consumption l/min and hose

diameter according to the technical data of

the tool

• Check the compressed air for the occurrence

of dust, condensate and rust particles

• Excess lubrication of the air motor

Engine block: Connect the HAZET cooling

system cleaner to the upper radiator hose

and collect the water via the lower radiator

hose

9. Check the radiator hoses, the thermo-

stats and the water pump and replace as

necessary.

Filling the system

10. Firmly tighten the drain valve

on the

underside of the radiator. Ensure that all

hoses are correctly attached.

11. Fill the cooling system with the correct

coolant as recommended by the vehi-

cle manufacturer and ensure that you

bleed the cooling system correspon-

dingly in accordance with the vehicle

manufacturer's instructions. When the coo-

lant is drained from the cooling system it is

replaced with air. When the system is refilled,

air can become trapped in the cooling cir-

cuit. Air in the system must be avoided at all

costs. Air bubbles considerably reduce the

coolant circuit and can lead to overheating of

the engine. Furthermore, they accelerate the

corrosion process and reduce the service life

of the system. Some systems are equipped

with an air-bleed valve on the upper radiator

hose through which trapped air can escape

from the system. Other systems require the

expansion tank to be removed or to be lifted

upwards so that the trapped air can escape.

For this reason, HAZET recommends that the

vehicle maintenance instructions are checked

to ensure that the prescribed air-bleeding

procedure is used.

12. Check the radiator cap

and the

expansion tank cap

(if applicable), and

replace where necessary.

13. Check the coolant level of the engine

at operating temperature, and top up as

required after the engine has cooled.

14. Carry out a final visual check to ensure

that there are no leaks. Bear in mind that

some leaks only become visible when the

engine is cold, and others only become visi-

ble when the engine is hot.

CAUTION

Take particular care when flushing

cooling systems that are in poor

condition.

• For safety reasons, only the manufacturer’s

original spare parts may be used.

• Unsuitable or defective spare parts may

cause damage, malfunction or total failure of

the tool.

• The use of non-approved spare parts will void

all warranty, service and liability claims as well

as all claims for compensation against the

manufacturer or its agents, distributors and

sales representatives.

• For disposal, clean tool and disassemble accor-

ding to the regulations for work safety and envi-

ronmental protection.

• Components can be recycled.

2. Utilisation conforme aux

instructions

Le fonctionnement sûr de cet outil ne peut

être garanti que dans le cas où il est utilisé

conformément aux indications données dans

le présent mode d'emploi. À côté des instruc-

tions de sécurité au travail dans le présent

mode d’emploi, il faut également observer et

respecter les prescriptions de sécurité, les

prescriptions de prévention des accidents et

les prescriptions de protection de l’environne-

ment en vigueur pour le champ d’application

de l’outil.

L’utilisation et la maintenance de l'outil doivent

toujours être effectuées d’après les directives

locales, régionales, nationales ou fédérales.

• Avec l'outil de nettoyage du radiateur

HAZET, vous assurez un fonctionnement

optimal du radiateur.

• Le liquide de refroidissement du moteur

se décompose avec le temps et, avec les

débris d'usure et corps étrangers, il est très

probable que cela mène à une contamina-

tion.

• Évitez cela en purgeant régulièrement le

système de refroidissement, et à chaque

fois que vous changez les pièces du sys-

tème de refroidissement. L'outil de net-

toyage du radiateur HAZET fonctionne sans

solvants ni produits chimiques agressifs.

• L'outil de nettoyage du radiateur HAZET

combine l'eau à l'air comprimé afin d'aug-

menter la puissance. L'air comprimé aug-

mente la pression de l'eau par rapport à

celle qui sort du tuyau d'alimentation.

• L'outil de nettoyage du radiateur HAZET est

équipé d'un connecteur de ½“ / ø13 mm

pour le raccorder à l'eau. Nous conseillons

l'utilisation d'un raccord de flexible avec

une valve de commande. Cela vous évite de

vous rendre au robinet pour régler le débit

d'eau ou l'interrompre.

• Placez la buse graduée du pistolet de l'outil

de nettoyage du radiateur HAZET dans le

tuyau prévu pour le nettoyage, et purgez

autant que nécessaire, jusqu'à ce que le

liquide sorte clair du radiateur / bloc des

cylindres / échangeur. Soufflez des coups

d'air courts et par intermittence lorsque

l'eau parcourt le système, afin d'augmenter
