7 Installation
!
!
The blind can be fitted in a recess or to the wall or ceiling. There are different head
rails for powered blinds and manual blinds.
Depending on the space in the installation location, the sequence of installing
the blind components may vary (e.g. to fit the head rail before the side tracks).
NOTE
After delivery, the blind type and the scope of delivery should be checked
according to the order confirmation. The number on the data plate indicating
the blind type is located on the back of the head rail.
WARNING!
Powered blinds: Disconnect the power supply before you begin and ensure
that it can not be reconnected until installation has been completed.
CAUTION! Risk of injury
Important safety instructions. Follow all instructions since incorrect installation
can lead to severe injury.

7.4 Installing the cord plugs (only for manual blinds)
Check the operation of the blind by moving fully to the top and to the bot-
tom.
If the blind is properly adjusted, it should hold in all positions in between and
operate with ease.
If the blind falls down on its own, the cords need to be shortened. The easiest
way to do this is at the bottom end plugs by pulling out the plug and tying a
new double knot. Both cords need to be adjusted evenly. Shorten the excess
cord only after you have thoroughly tested the blind.
Make sure the springs in the head rail is not pulled to one end of the head rail,
but is approximately in the middle. If it is not, the tensioning does not work
properly.
7.5 Connecting the blinds (only for powered blinds)
The powered blinds are available for a connection to a 12/24 Vg power supply.
The data plate on the head rail provides important information on the specifica-
tions of the motor.
The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who
has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and opera-
tion of electrical equipment and installations and has received safety training to
identify and avoid the hazards involved.

Skysol Track Small Installation
The following notes must be observed when connecting the blinds:
Ensure cables are not damaged during installation. Routings of cables
through walls or bulkheads must be protected and insulated by appropriate
bushing, grommets or cable conduits.
Ensure that a 12 V or 24 V stabilized power supply line is available for the
drive at the point of installation. The power supply line is suitably arranged
and protected.
The product must be connected to the correct power supply as specified on
the product label. The motor in the product is designed to cut out when a set
current is exceeded but the supply should be fused to protect the wiring to
the product.
Secure all cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
Only use power supply units and control elements recommended by the
manufacturer to prevent damage or faults during operation caused by incom-
patible electrical components.
Control devices (e.g. switches) must be installed in visible locations.
One regulated power supply of the required specification is required per
motor as failure to do so may cause the motor to function improperly.
Any adjustment of set stop positions should only be made using the method
specified for the motor type to avoid damage to the motor.

NOTE
The motors have a built-in, self resetting thermal cut-out for safety reasons. Pro-
longed use or over loading the blind could trigger the cut-out. If this happens
allow the motor to cool up to half an hour.
WARNING! Risk of injury
Take appropriate organizational measures for preventing operation of the
blind when maintenance, such as window or wall cleaning, is being carried out
in the vicinity, for blinds, which can be operated from a position without the
blind in view.
