Connect the power supply to the proper terminals. Connect the trigger input S between terminals
A1 and Y1 (DBA52 and DMB51 versions only). Connect the relay output according to the ratings as
shown in the side diagrams.

Each terminal can accept up to 2.5 mm2 wires.
Settings
Select the desired time range by the lower dial on front as shown on the left.
Adjust the time period on relative scale: 1 to 10 with respect to the chosen range, setting the centre knob as shown on the left.
DMB51: select the desired function by the upper knob as shown on the left:
Op: Delay on Operate
In: Interval
Io: Interval on trigger open
Id: Double Interval
Dr: Delay on release
R: Symmetrical recycler (ON first)
Rb: Symmetrical recycler (OFF first)
Incorrect selection of the time range causes fast blinking of the yellow LED
Adjustment
Check if the connections are correct. Turn the
power supply ON, the green LED switches ON.
The working mode, according to the selected
function, is schematized on the side label.
The yellow LED is ON when the relay is ener-
gized, it blinks slowly during timing and blinks
fast in case of wrong set-up.
Mounting
Hang the device to the DIN-Rail being sure that
the spring closes. Use a screwdriver to remove
the product.
Packaging
The packing material should be kept for redeliv-
ery in case of replacement or repair.

injuries. Disconnect the power supply and load before installing
the device. The device should only be installed by qualied/
authorized personnel.
These instructions are an integral part of the product.
They should be consulted for all situations tied to
installation and use. They should be kept within easy
reach of operators, in a clean place and in good
conditions.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DISPOSAL
The product must be disposed of at the relative recycling
centers specied by the government or local public au-
thorities. Correct disposal and recycling will contribute to

ronment and persons.

Avertissements généraux
- Lire attentivement ce manuel d’instructions. Si le dispositif
est utilisé d’une manière autre que celle spécifiée par le fabri-
cant, la fonction de protection peut être altérée.
- Toutes les opérations concernant l’installation, le démonta-
ge du dispositif et des modules doivent être effectuées par
du personnel qualifié et uniquement après avoir déconnecté
les sources d’alimentation et de puissance.
- Une protection contre les surintensités facilement acces-
sible (fusible ou disjoncteur) doit être intégrée au câblage
d’installation du bâtiment.
General warnings
- Read carefully the present instruction manual. If the device
is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer the
protection function may be impaired.
- All operations concerning installation, or unmounting, of
device or modules shall be carried out by qualified personnel
and after having disconnected all power sources.
- A readily accessible overcurrent protection ( fuse or circu-
it breaker) shall be incorporated in the building installation
wiring.
UL NOTES
• The following models when installed shall be provided with
one external Listed or R/C (JDYX2/8) supplementary fuse
located on power supply conductor and rated as indicated
below:

• For Canadian application, these devices shall be supplied
by a secondary circuit, which is not directly derived from the
primary circuit and where the short-circuit limit between con-
ductors or between conductors and ground is 1500 VA or
less: the short-circuit volt ampere limit is the product of the
open circuit voltage and the short circuit ampere. For other
applications additional consideration shall be evaluated in
the final use.
• “The device shall be installed in a pollution degree 2 en-
vironment”.
• “Use 60 or 75°C copper (CU) conductor and wire size No.
30-12 AWG, stranded or solid”.
• “Terminal tightening torque of 4 to 7 Lb-In (0.4 Nm to 0.8
Nm)”
• Being these devices Overvoltage Category III (Cat II for
W24 version) they are: “For use in a circuit where devices or
system, including filters or air gaps, are used to control over-
voltages at the maximum rated impulse withstand voltage
peak of 4.0kV. (2.5kV for for W24 version) Devices or system
shall be evaluated using the requirements in the Standard for
Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors, UL 1449 and shall also
withstand the available short circuit current in accordance
with UL 1449”
NOTES UL
• Les modèles suivants, lorsqu’installés, doivent être dotés

tement du circuit primaire et où la limite de court-circuit entre
les conducteurs ou entre les conducteurs et la terre est de
1500 VA ou moins : la limite voltampère de court-circuit est
le produit de la tension en circuit ouvert et de l’ampérage de
court-circuit. Pour d’autres utilisations, des considérations
ultérieures seront évaluées lors de l’utilisation finale.
• “Le dispositif doit être installé dans un environnement avec
degré de pollution 2”.
• “Utiliser un conducteur en cuivre (CU) 60 ou 75°C de sec-
tion No. 30-12 AWG, solide ou souple”.
