Gefahrloses Arbeiten mit dem Gerät ist
nur möglich, wenn Sie die Bedienungs-
anleitung und die Sicherheitshinweise
vollständig lesen und die darin enthalte-
nen Anweisungen strikt befolgen.
Zusätzlich müssen die allgemeinen Sicherheitshin-
weise im beigefügten Heft befolgt werden. Lassen
Sie sich vor dem ersten Gebrauch praktisch einwei-
sen.
Das Gerät darf nicht feucht sein und auch
nicht in feuchter Umgebung betrieben
werden.
Schutzbrille und Gehörschutz tragen.
Bei langen Haaren Haarschutz tragen.
Nur mit eng anliegender Kleidung arbei-
ten.
❏ Keine Schilder und Zeichen auf das Gerät nieten
oder schrauben. Die Schutzisolierung kann
dadurch unwirksam werden. Empfohlen werden
Klebeschilder.
❏ Nur unbeschädigte Stecker und Kabel verwenden.
Gesundheitsrisiko durch Schadstoffe im Werkstück
❏ Keine Materialien bearbeiten, bei welchen
gesundheitsgefährdende Stoffe freigesetzt werden
(z. B. Asbest). Beim Schleifen von z. B. bleihalti-
gem Anstrich, einigen Holzarten oder Metall ent-
stehen schädliche/giftige Stäube.
❏ Durch scharfkantige Werkzeuge besteht Verlet-
zungsgefahr. Nur mit Schutzhandschuhen arbei-
ten.
Gesundheitsrisiken bei längerer Benutzungsdauer
❏ Die beim Arbeiten mit diesem Gerät entstehenden
Hand-/Arm-Vibrationen sind vor allem anwen-
dungsabhängig.
Verhalten Sie sich richtig, um die Vibrationsbelas-
tung zu verringern:
– unterbrechen bzw. wechseln Sie bei hoher Vibra-
tionsbelastung häufiger die Tätigkeit,
– halten Sie die Hände warm,
– greifen Sie die Maschine während der Arbeit nur
so fest wie nötig,
– arbeiten Sie nur mit technisch einwandfreien
Maschinen,
– wählen Sie das richtige Einsatzwerkzeug aus,
– arbeiten Sie nur mit scharfen Messern,
– wählen Sie die Schwingfrequenz entsprechend
den Würth-Angaben, Resonanzen vermeiden,
– nehmen Sie an Schulungen zum Aneignen richti-
ger Arbeitstechniken teil.
❏ Werden diese Empfehlungen nicht befolgt, können
bei täglichen Arbeiten mit hohen Vibrationswerten
über einen längeren Zeitraum gesundheitliche
Beeinträchtigungen auftreten:
– Durchblutungsstörungen in den Händen;
Anzeichen: weiße Fingerkuppen und Empfindlich-
keit auf Kältereize.
– Störungen des Nervensystems;
Anzeichen: Fingerkribbeln und Gefühllosigkeit in
den Fingern.
❏ Werden diese Anzeichen fortgesetzt ignoriert,
können bleibende Nerven- oder Gefäßschädigun-
gen nicht ausgeschlossen werden.
❏ In Arbeitsschutzrichtlinien (z. B. der Richtlinie
2002/44/EG) ist ein täglicher Expositionsgrenz-
wert von 5 m/s
2
festgelegt, der auf einen Bezugs-
zeitraum von 8 Stunden normiert ist und nicht
überschritten werden soll. Zur Ermittlung der tägli-
chen Exposition dient die bewertete Beschleuni-
gung.
❏ Würth-Einsatzwerkzeuge werden je nach Vibra-
tionsklasse gekennzeichnet. Die Einstufung der
Einsatzwerkzeuge in Vibrationsklassen (VC0,
VC1, …) basiert auf den im Labor ermittelten
bewerteten Beschleunigungen, die lediglich nur
Vibrations-Richtwerte darstellen. Beim Arbeiten
können von diesen Richtwerten abweichende
Beschleunigungen auftreten.
Sachbeschädigung
❏ Netzspannung und Spannungsangabe am Gerät
müssen übereinstimmen.
Persönliche Schutzausrüstung.
Beim Arbeiten mit diesem Gerät folgende Schutzaus-
rüstung tragen:
❏ Vibrationsdämpfende Schutzhandschuhe (EN ISO
10 819), Schutzbrille, Gehörschutz.
❏ Beim Entstehen von Stäuben Staubschutzmaske
tragen und Staubabsaugung verwenden.
❏ Nur Original Würth-Zubehör verwenden.

Bestimmungsgemäßer
Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät ist bestimmt: für den gewerblichen Einsatz
in Industrie und Handwerk,
EMS 1.6:
zum Schneiden von Kunststoffkleberaupen,
z. B. im Kfz-Bereich, zum Ausschneiden von elastischen
Dichtstoffen und Marmor-/Trassfugen,
EMS 2.0:
zum Sägen von dünnen Blechen, Holz- und
Kunststoffteilen, zum Schleifen von kleineren Flächen,
Ecken und Kanten, zum Einsatz mit Zubehör, das in die-
ser Gebrauchsanleitung angegeben ist oder das von
Würth empfohlen wird.
Für Schäden bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch
haftet der Benutzer.

Werkzeug montieren
Vor allen Arbeiten am Gerät Netzstecker zie-
hen.
Nur mit Schutzhandschuhen arbeiten.

welle und das Befestigungselement müssen sauber sein.

Zur Einstellung der günstigen Arbeitsposition kann das
Werkzeug auf der Antriebswelle in 30°-Schritten ver-
setzt befestigt werden.

befestigt werden. Zum Arbeiten mit der Schleifplatte ist
der Adapter

erforderlich.
Messer vor jedem Einsatz mit Schärfstein bei niedrigster
Schwingfrequenz schärfen. Gilt auch für neue Messer.

Arbeitshinweise
Schneidmesser für den Kfz-Bereich
Die Schneidmesser für den Kfz-Bereich sind wie im
Anhang gezeigt aufzuspannen.

Die Führung der geraden, gebogenen oder gekröpften
Schneidmesser hat rechtwinklig zum Fensterflansch zu
erfolgen.
Bei den U-förmigen Schneidmessern ist darauf zu ach-
ten, dass der Steg des Schneidmessers parallel zur
Fahrzeugscheibe geführt wird.
Das Schabmesser dient dem Egalisieren der Klebereste
auf dem Fensterflansch bzw. der Scheibe. Vor einer
Neuverklebung der Fahrzeugscheibe ist die Restraupe
auf ca. 2 mm zu egalisieren.
Wartung und Pflege
Vor allen Arbeiten am Gerät Netzstecker zie-
hen.
Einmal pro Woche, bei häufigem Gebrauch öfter
durchführen:

Motorraum von außen mit trockener Druckluft aus-
blasen.

fahren einmal ausfallen, ist die Reparatur von einem
Würth master-Service ausführen zu lassen. In Deutsch-
land erreichen Sie den Würth master-Service kostenlos

Bei allen Rückfragen und Ersatzteilbestellungen bitte

Der A-bewertete Geräuschpegel des Gerätes beträgt
typischerweise: Schalldruckpegel 81 dB (A); Schallleis-
tungspegel 92 dB (A).
Messunsicherheit K=3 dB
Gehörschutz tragen!
*Diese Werte basieren auf einem Arbeitszyklus beste-
hend aus Leerlauf- und Volllastbetrieb mit gleicher

Working safely with this machine is pos-
sible only when the operating and safety
information are read completely and the
instructions contained therein are strictly
followed. In addition, the general safety
notes in the enclosed booklet must be observed.
Before using for the first time, ask for a practical
demonstration.
The unit must not be damp and must not
be used in a wet environment.
Wear protective glasses and hearing pro-
tection.
For long hair, wear hair protection. Work
only with closely fitting clothes.
❏ Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or signs
onto the power tool. The protective insulation can
thereby be rendered ineffective. Adhesive labels
are recommended.
❏ Only use an undamaged plug and cable.
Health risk due to noxious matter in the work piece
❏ Do not treat any materials that produce any parti-
cles that are detrimental to health (e. g. asbestos).
When sanding coatings that contain lead, for
example, or some types of wood or metal,
injurious/poisonous dust is produced.
❏ Danger! Tools with sharp edges can cause injury.
Always wear protective gloves.
Operation over a longer period can be detrimental to
health
❏ Vibrations in the hand/arm caused whilst working
with this power tool primarily depend on the appli-
cation.
Adopt the correct behaviour in order to reduce the
effect of the vibration:
– in the case of strong vibration, make a pause or
change your task more frequently,
– keep your hands warm,
– whilst working, only grip the power tool as firmly
as necessary,
– only work with power tools that are in perfect
operating condition,
– select the correct application tool,
– only work with sharp cutting blades,
– select the oscillation frequency according to the
Würth instructions, avoid any resonance,
– take part in the training programs for learning
how to adopt the correct working techniques.
❏ If these recommendations are not observed, high
vibration values that persist during daily work over
a longer period of time can be detrimental to
health:
– Disturbed circulation in the hands.
Symptoms: white finger tips and sensitivity to stim-
uli caused by cold.
– Disturbance of the nervous system.
Symptoms: Tingling sensation and numbness in
the fingers.
❏ If these symptoms are continually disregarded,
permanent damage to the nerves or blood vessels
could occur.
❏ In the industrial safety directives
(e. g. directive 2002/44/EC), a maximum daily
exposure limit is stipulated of 5 m/s
2
. This expo-
sure limit is normalised to a daily reference period
of 8 hours and must not be exceeded. The rated
acceleration serves for calculating the daily expo-
sure.
❏ Würth application tools are marked according to
the vibration class. The classification of the appli-
cation tools in vibration classes (VC0, VC1, …) is
based on the rated accelerations calculated in the
laboratory which merely serve as approximate
vibration values. During work, accelerations can
occur that deviate from these approximate values.
Damage to property/material
❏ The mains voltage must correspond with the volt-
age specifications on the power tool.
Personal protective equipment.
When using this power tool wear the following pro-
tective items:
❏ Protective gloves with vibration absorption
(EN ISO 10 819), protective glasses, ear protec-
tion.
❏ If dust is produced, wear a dust-protection mask
and use a dust extractor.
❏ Use only original Würth parts and accessories.

Not all of the accessories illustrated or described are included
as standard delivery.
Intended Use
This power tool is intended for:
commercial use in industry and trade,
EMS 1.6: for trimming plastic beads, e. g. in the vehi-
cles sector, for cutting out elastic sealants and marble
trass joints,
EMS 2.0: for sawing thin sheet metal, wood and plastic
parts, and for sanding smaller areas, corners and
edges, for application using the accessories given in this
instruction manual, or those recommended by Würth.
The user is responsible for damage caused by usage
other then intended.
Tool Specifications
Mounting the tool
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Always wear protective gloves.
❏ Unscrew the fixation element 3.
The inner thread M 6, the drive shaft holder and the fix-
ation element must be clean.
❏ Tighten the fixation element 3 with the provided
Allen key.
For adopting a comfortable working position the tool
can be fastened on the drive shaft at 30° intervals.
The sanding plate can be fastened onto the drive shaft
in any position. The adapter 4 is required for working
with the sanding plate.
Sharpen the cutting blade at the lowest frequency
before each application with a sharpening stone. This
also applies for new cutting blades.

The cutting blades marked with a symbol 5 gmay
only be operated as indicated.
Starting Operation
Switching On and Off
First check that the cable and plug are not dam-
aged.
Switching on: Slide switch 1 forwards (I).
Switching off: Slide switch 1 backwards (0).
Set the oscillating frequency
Using the oscillation frequency selector 2, the optimum
oscillation frequency can be set according to the appli-
cation and the accessory used.
Operating Instructions
Cutting blades for the vehicles sector
The cutting blades for the vehicles sector are to be
mounted as shown in the enclosure.
A Cutting blades, straight and curved.
B Cutting blades, bent at right angles.
C Cutting blades, U-form.
D Scraping knife.
E Scraping knife.
F Cutting blade with stop roller.
The straight, curved or cropped cutting blades must be
held at right angles to the window flange.
With the U-shaped cutting blades make sure that the
base of the cutting blade is guided parallel to the vehicle
windscreen.
The scraping knife serves for levelling out glue spots on
the window flange or windscreen. Before re-gluing the
vehicle windscreen, the remaining bead is to be levelled
to approx. 2 mm.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
Carry out the following once a week, or more often if
the power tool is used more frequently:
❏ Clean the venting openings.
❏ Blow out the motor space from outside with dry com-
pressed air.

If the machine should fail despite the care taken in man-
ufacturing and testing, repair should be carried out by
a Würth Master-Service agent.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders, please
always include the 8-digit order number given on the
nameplate of the machine.
For the current spare parts list of this machine, log into
the Internet under “http://www.wuerth.com/partsman-
ager” or ask for a copy at your nearest Würth branch
office.

equipping the power tool for the first time:

Further information on their application is contained in
the sets of accessories.
Noise/Vibration Information
Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the machine
are: sound pressure level 81 dB (A); sound power
level 92 dB (A).
Measurement uncertainty K=3 dB.
Wear hearing protection!
*These values are based on a working cycle consisting
of no-load and full-load operation of the same dura-
tion.
Measured values are determined according to
EN 60 745-1.
Disposal
Power tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into
household waste!
According to the European Directive
2002/96/EC on waste electrical and
electronic equipment and its incorpora-
tion into national law, power tools that
are no longer suitable for use must be separately col-
lected and sent for recovery in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
Warranty
For this Würth tool, we provide a warranty in accord-
ance with statutory/country-specific regulations from
the date of purchase (proof of purchase by invoice or
delivery note). Damage that has occurred will be cor-
rected by replacement or repair.
Damage caused by normal wear, overloading or
improper handling is excluded from the warranty.
Claims can be recognised only when the tool is pre-
sented undisassembled to a Würth branch office or a
Würth field service employee.
Declaration of Conformity
We declare under our sole responsibility that this prod-
uct is in conformity with the following standards or

È possibile lavorare con la macchina senza
incorrere in pericoli soltanto dopo aver letto
completamente le istruzioni per l’uso e
l’opuscolo avvertenze per la sicurezza e
seguendo rigorosamente le istruzioni in essi
contenute. Inoltre vanno rispettate anche le generali
istruzioni di sicurezza riportate nell’opuscolo allegato.
Fatevi istruire praticamente prima di passare all’opera-
zione pratica.
L’apparecchio non dovrà riportare umidità
ed essere azionato in ambiente umido.
Portare occhiali e cuffie di protezione.
In caso di capelli lunghi è necessario portare
un’adatta protezione per i capelli. Lavorare
soltanto con abiti adatti ed aderenti al corpo.
❏ Non applicare alla macchina targhette e simboli uti-
lizzando rivetti o viti. Ciò potrebbe rendere inefficace
l’isolamento di sicurezza. Si consigliano targhette
adesive.
❏ Controllare che cavo e spina non siano danneggiati.

amianto). Eseguendo operazioni di levigatura p. es.
su verniciature contenenti piombo, su alcuni tipi di
legname oppure su metallo si producono polveri
dannose/velenose.
❏ Gli utensili a spigoli vivi comportano un pericolo per
l’incolumità di persone. Lavorare solo con guanti pro-
tettivi.
Rischi di arrecare danni alla salute in caso di lunghe
durate di utilizzo
❏ Le vibrazioni mano-braccio provocate lavorando con
questa macchina dipendono in primo luogo dal tipo
di applicazione.
Comportarsi correttamente in modo da limitare le solle-
citazioni da vibrazione:
– in caso di alte sollecitazioni da vibrazione interrom-
pere oppure cambiare più spesso il tipo di opera-
zione,
– tenere calde le mani,
– mentre si lavora, afferrare la macchina esercitando
solo la pressione necessaria,
– lavorare solo con macchine che siano in perfetto stato
tecnico,
– scegliere l’utensile ad innesto corretto,
– lavorare solo con lame taglienti,
– scegliere la frequenza delle oscillazioni secondo le
indicazioni Würth ed evitando risonanze,
– partecipare a corsi di addestramento per apprendere
le corrette tecniche operative.
❏ In caso di mancata osservanza delle presenti indica-
zioni è possibile che, lavorando con alti valori di
vibrazione per periodi più lunghi nel corso dei lavori
giornalieri, si vengano a creare disturbi alla salute
dell’operatore:
– Disturbi di circolazione sanguigna nelle mani;
Indizio: Punte bianche delle dita e sensibilità al
freddo.
– Disfunzioni del sistema nervoso;
Indizio: formicolio nella dita e mancanza di sensibilità
nelle dita.
❏ Qualora si dovessero ignorare continuamente questi
indizi non si escludono danni permanenti al sistema
nervoso oppure ai vasi sanguigni.
❏ Nelle direttive relative alla sicurezza sul lavoro (p. es.
della direttiva CE 2002/44) è previsto un valore
limite giornaliero di esposizione pari a 5 m/s
2
che a
norma si riferisce ad un periodo di 8 ore e che non
deve essere superato. Per il calcolo dell’esposizione
giornaliera serve l’accelerazione stimata.
❏ Gli utensili ad innesto Würth sono contrassegnati a
seconda della classe di vibrazione. La classificazione
degli utensili ad innesto in classi di vibrazione (VC0,
VC1, …) si basa su accelerazioni rilevate in sede di
laboratorio e sono da considerare quindi semplici
valori indicativi della vibrazione. Durante la fase ope-
rativa è possibile che si verifichino accelerazioni
diverse da questi valori indicativi.
Pericolo di danneggiare la macchina
❏ La tensione di rete deve coincidere con quanto indi-
cato sui dati di targa riportati sulla macchina.
Abbigliamento protettivo.
Quando si lavora con questa macchina, usare il seguente
abbigliamento di protezione:
❏ Guanti di protezione antivibrazione
(EN ISO 10 819), occhiali protettivi, tappi antiru-
more.
❏ Quando si producono polveri, portare la maschera di
protezione contro la polvere ed utilizzare un’aspira-
zione polvere.
❏ Impiegare solo accessori originali di Würth.

Uso conforme alle norme
Questa macchina è destinata: all’uso professionale
nell’industria e nell’artigianato,
EMS 1.6: per tagliare cordoni autoadesivi in plastica, ad
esempio nel settore automobilistico, per ritagliare mastici
elastici e giunti di marmo e di trasso,
EMS 2.0: per tagliare lamiere sottili, parti in legno ed in
materiale sintetico, per levigare superfici minori, spigoli e
bordi, all’impiego con accessori esplicitamente indicati in
questo libretto d’istruzioni, oppure consigliati da Würth.
Per danni provocati da uso non conforme alle norme,
risponde esclusivamente l’Utente.
Dati tecnici
Montaggio dell’utensile
Prima di qualunque intervento alla macchina,
estrarre la spina dalla presa di rete.
Lavorare solo con guanti protettivi.
❏ Estrarre la vite di fissaggio 3 svitandola completamente.
Il filetto M 6, l’attacco dell’alberino di trasmissione e l’ele-
mento di fissaggio devono essere puliti.
❏ Avvitare forte l'elemento di fissaggio 3 a mezzo della
chiave a brugola fornita a corredo.
Per la regolazione della posizione di lavoro più adatta è
possibile fissare l’utensile sull’alberino di trasmissione spo-
stato a passi di 30°.
Il platorello abrasivo può essere fissato in continuo
sull'alberino di trasmissione. Per eseguire lavori con il pla-
torello abrasivo è necessario utilizzare l'adattatore 4.
Prima di ogni impiego, affilare la lama da taglio utiliz-
zando una pietra affilatrice avendo cura di operare alla più
bassa frequenza delle oscillazioni. Vale anche per nuove
lame.

Le lame contrassegnate con un simbolo 5 pos-
sono essere utilizzate esclusivamente per
l’impiego previsto.
Messa in servizio
Avvio/arresto
Prima dell’avviamento controllare l’integrità del
cavo e della spina.
Avvio: Spingere l’interruttore 1 in avanti (I).
Arresto: Spingere l’interruttore 1 all’indietro (0).
Regolare la frequenza delle oscillazioni
Alla rotellina di regolazione 2 è possibile regolare la fre-
quenza ottimale delle oscillazioni a seconda dell’accesso-
rio opzionale utilizzato ed a seconda del campo di
impiego.
Indicazioni operative
Lame per l’impiego nel settore automobilistico
Applicare le lame per il settore automobilistico procedendo
come illustrato in appendice.
A Lama, diritta ed arcuata.
B Lama, piegata a gomito.
C Lama, a forma di U.
D Lama rasatrice.
E Lama rasatrice.
F Lama con rullo di guida.
Le lame diritte, arcuate oppure piegate a gomito devono
essere tenute ad angolo retto rispetto alla flangia del fine-
strino.
In caso lame a forma di U si deve tenere presente che il
margine della lama venga tenuto parallelamente al vetro
dell’autoveicolo.
La lama rasatrice serve a livellare i resti di colla sulla flan-
gia del finestrino oppure del cristallo. Prima di una nuova
operazione di incollaggio di un vetro di autoveicolo, livel-
lare il cordone di colla rimanente su ca. 2 mm.
Cura e manutenzione
Prima di qualunque intervento alla macchina,
estrarre la spina dalla presa di rete.
Una volta la settimana, o più spesso in caso di uso fre-
quente:
❏ Pulire le aperture per l’aria di raffreddamento.
❏ Soffiare dall’esterno il vano motore con aria compressa
asciutta.

Se nonostante gli accurati procedimenti di produzione e di
controllo la macchina dovesse guastarsi, la riparazione va
fatta effettuare da un punto di assistenza Würth
master-Service autorizzato.
Comunicare sempre il codice di ordinazione a 8 cifre
dell’elettroutensile in caso di richieste o di ordinazione di
pezzi di ricambio!

Informazioni sulla rumorosità e
sulla vibrazione
La misurazione A del livello di pressione acustica della
macchina è solitamente di pressione acustica 81 dB (A);
livello della potenza sonora 92 dB (A).
Incertezza della misura K = 3 dB.
Utilizzare le cuffie di protezione!
*Questi valori si basano su un ciclo operativo che si basa
sul funzionamento a vuoto e sul funzionamento a carico
pieno con la stessa durata.
Valori misurati secondo norma EN 60 745-1.
Smaltimento
Avviare ad un riciclaggio rispettoso dell’ambiente gli
imballaggi, gli elettroutensili e gli accessori dismessi.
Solo per i Paesi della CE:
Non gettare elettroutensili dismessi tra i
rifiuti domestici!
Conformemente alla norma della direttiva
CE 2002/96 sui rifiuti di apparecchia-
