BATTERY STATUS ON iPhone™
This headset supports “iPhone headset battery meter”
which monitors headset battery level on-screen when
connected.
CHARGING
Your Carbon Smart headset performs the best when fully charged. When you hear a low-
tone beep at regular intervals (the indicator light ashes in red), your headset needs to be
recharged. It takes around 50 minutes to charge up.
The fully charged battery has power for up to 4.5 hours of talk time or 4 hours of music
streaming or up to 6 days of standby time. Charging the battery for 15 minutes provides up
to 2.5 hours of talk time or up to 2.5 days of standby time. When fully charged, the indicator
light will change from red to blue.

SWITCHING ON/OFF
Power button
To conserve energy, your Carbon Smart headset will be switched o
when it loses connection with your mobile phone for more than 20
minutes. Switching the button to “o” then to “on” position will wake
up the headset instantly.
LANGUAGE SELECTION
Voice prompts of the headset are available in English, Spanish,
Putonghua (Mandarin), French or in “beep” tone to remind you the
status of the headset.
To select your preferred language, switch on the headset, follow the
voice guide instruction and press the TALK button. After completing
the language selection process, the headset will enter pairing mode
automatically. Please refer to “Pairing” section to pair your headset.
ADJUSTING VOLUME
VOL Button
Tap the volume button to increase the volume of the speaker.
After reaching the max volume, continue tapping the button
again will decrease the volume to the lowest level.

PAIRING
Place the Carbon Smart and your mobile phone within 0.3 meter (1 foot) from each other.
Switch on your phone and switch to Bluetooth® discover mode (refer to your phone’s manual).
Switch on Carbon Smart, press and hold the TALK Button for approx. 8 seconds until
blue and red light ash alternately.
“BLUETREK CARBON SMART” will be displayed on your mobile phone.
Follow the phone instructions to accept the pairing. The PIN code (or passkey) is 0000,
then press “yes” or “ok”.
*If your phone supports Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), PIN code is not required.
For some phones, you may need to select “Connect”.
* If pairing is successful, the indicator light will switch to blue and ashes intermittently.

MAKING CALLS
Using the mobile phone key pad
• Make sure the headset is connected with your phone and in stand-by mode.
• Dial the number on the phone keypad, after approximately 2 seconds the audio
connection will be established.
Using the voice recognition function of your mobile phone*
• Make sure the voice recognition function on your mobile is activated and your voice tags
have been recorded on the phone. Please refer to your phone manual.
• When there is no incoming or active call, press on the TALK button for 2 seconds.
• Wait for the audio signal from the mobile phone (generally a short tone).
• Say the name of the person you wish to call.
*This function may not be available on some phones, please check with your phone
manufacturer for further details.

LISTENING TO MUSIC
Carbon Smart is capable of streaming music over Bluetooth® either from a mobile phone
or any other Bluetooth® device supporting A2DP. Once you have paired your Carbon Smart
with your mobile phone or with a Bluetooth® music player, use your phone or music player
to play, pause, stop, skip, forward and backward.
When you receive a call, the music will automatically be suspended and you will be able
to answer or reject a call through the headset. Once you end a call, the music should
recommence. On some phones and music devices you may have to press ‘play’ to start the
music again.

Answer a call while talking on the other paired phone
- To answer the second call and put the current call on hold, double press the TALK button.
- To answer the second call and terminate current call, press once on the TALK button.
- To reject the second call, reject from mobile phone directly.
MULTI-POINT FUNCTION
Connecting with two Bluetooth enabled devices simultaneously.
Enable the multi-point function
1. Pair the headset to the 1st device (Please refer to “pairing” section).
2. Press and hold the TALK button for about 8 seconds to enter into paring mode, then pair
it to the 2nd device (Please refer to “pairing” section).
3. Press once the TALK button again. The 2 devices will be connected simultaneously.
MUTING THE MICROPHONE
To mute the microphone during an active call
During an active call, press and hold the VOL button for approximately 2 seconds. A
periodic tone can be heard in the speaker.
To end the mute function
When the microphone is muted, press and hold the VOL button for approximately 2
seconds until the periodic tone is end.

RESET TO FACTORY SETTING
If the headset fails to operate normally, you may need to reboot or reset your headset.
To reboot your headset, just charge your headset for 5 sec, the headset will be rebooted
automatically.
RE-CONNECTION
Carbon Smart will reconnect to your mobile phone automatically if Bluetooth connection
is interrupted for less than 3 minutes.
If connection is interrupted for 3 to 20 minutes, press the TALK button to reconnect.
If connection is lost for more than 20 minutes, Carbon Smart will switch o automatically,
please switch the power button to “o” then to “on” again to wake up the headset and
reconnect with your phone.
VOICE ALERT
A recorded voice reminds you of the status of your headset, such as: low battery, pairing,
last outgoing number redial, mute, un-mute etc…
You can select the languages from rst switch on the headset. 4 languages are available for
this headset: English, Spanish, Putonghua (Mandarin) and French. You may also select the
“beep” tone alert.
To change the voice alert language, please reset your headset.

does not support the handsfree or headset Bluetooth proles. Please check with your

If reboot cannot solve the problem, try to reset your headset. Switch on your headset, press
TALK button together with VOL button for 5 sec until the red LED ashes.
Wait for around 7 sec, the headset will be reset and enter into pairing mode directly.
*Reset the headset will delete all pairing information, you will need to pair your devices again
• If your headset is fully charged, the red indicator light will not turn on when plugging into the
charger.
• Do not over charge your headset for more than 10 hours.
• The use of any other charger will automatically suspend the warranty. It is forbidden and can be
dangerous.
• Ensure that the voltage rating corresponds to the local mains or power supply you intend to use.
• Optimal handling may not always be practical in real life. Deviations from the ideal are
acceptable but will lower the life expectancy of the battery to some degree.

• Do not drop or try to alter the shape of your headset.
• Do not expose your headset to liquid, moisture, fire, open flames and extreme temperatures.
Operating and storage temperature is 0°C to +40°C (32°F to +104°F).
• Keep your headset away from dust and dirt.
• Do not try to disassemble your headset. Service and Maintenance can only be performed by
authorized dealers.
• Do not let children play with your headset, since it contains small parts that could become
detached and create a choking hazard. Keep all products, cords, and cables away from children.
As with all corded products, there is a danger of strangulation if a cord should become wrapped
around your neck.
• Install and use earbuds in accordance with the instructions provided. Do not force the speaker
and earbuds down the ear canal. If either becomes lodged in the ear canal, seek medical
attention immediately.
• For optimal performance, wear your headset and
your mobile phone on the same side of your body
or within line of sight and angle the headset so
that it points toward your mouth.
• For better performances, avoid the microphone
touching your jaw or face. The face will absorb
some of the transmission output power and
reduce the range. It also leads to possible noise in
audio. Use hook or not to have the microphone
1cm from your jaw.
Warnings
• Using Bluetooth headset at high volume level and noisy background can potentially cause
hearing loose.
• The volume level of the Bluetooth® headset may vary, depending on your mobile phone. Before
using your headset for the first time, adjust the headset volume to the lowest, then increase the
volume gradually until you reach to an acceptable level.
• High levels of volume may result in hearing loss, avoid using the headset at high volume
continuously. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled speech, consult your doctor
immediately and stop using the headset.
• Check local laws regarding use of a mobile phone and earpiece while driving. If you use the
earpiece while driving ensure your attention and focus remain on driving safely.
• Observe all signs and instructions that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be
switched off in designated areas, such as gas/refueling stations, hospitals, blasting areas,
potentially explosive atmospheres, or aircraft.
Charge warnings
• For your first time use, please charge your headset for 3-4 hrs until the red indicator light turns off.
• To maximize battery lifetime, it is recommended to recharge your headset to full capacity only
when the battery is low, since a battery has a life time of about 350 charging cycles.
• If you leave your headset battery empty for an extended period of time, it could excessively
discharge the battery. In this case, charge your headset for 3 hours or more until the battery
recovers and recharges completely. When you first charge the headset after prolonged storage, it
may take few minutes for the red indicator light to turn on.
• It is recommended to full charge your headset before you store it for long periods of time
without use.

•Per non compromettere le prestazioni del prodotto,
assicurarsi che il microfono non sia a contatto con il
viso, poiché quest'ultimo potrebbe assorbire parte
delle onde di trasmissione del dispositivo,
iducendone la portata e disturbando la qualità
dell'audio. Per mantenere il microfono a una
distanza di 1 cm dal viso, è possibile utilizzare
l'apposito uncino.
Avvertenze
• L'utilizzo delle cuffie con Bluetooth a volume elevato e in ambiente rumoroso può provocare danni
all''udito.
• Il livello del volume della cuffia auricolare Bluetooth® può variare, a seconda del volume del suo telefono
cellulare. Prima di utilizzare per la prima volta la sua cuffia auricolare, regoli al minimo il volume della cuffia
auricolare, poi lo aumenti gradualmente fino a raggiungere un volume accettabile.
• Volumi elevati possono provocare danni permanenti all'udito, pertanto occorre evitare l'uso continuato

Informazioni sulla ricarica
• Prima di utilizzare le cuffie per la prima volta, ricaricarle per 3-4 ore, finché la spia rossa non si spegne.
• Per aumentare al massimo la durata di vita della batteria raccomandiamo di ricaricare la cuffia auricolare
