WARNING

Make sure that the loudspeaker is securely installed in a stable position to avoid any injuries or damages to

persons or properties. For safety reasons do not place one loudspeaker on top of another without proper

fastening systems. Before hanging the loudspeaker check all the components for damages, deformations, missing

or damaged parts that may compromise safety during installation. If you use the loudspeakers outdoor avoid

spots exposed to bad weather conditions.

The external wiring connected to speaker output terminals requires installation by qualied personnel only. Once

the equipment is installed, prevent access to the connectors to unqualied personnel. Only use the accessories

and congurations described in this manual, and proceed in accordance with the instructions given in

the manuals for the accessories. dBTechnologies will not accept any responsibility for damages caused by

inappropriate accessories or additional devices.

Grazie per aver acquistato un prodotto progettato e sviluppato in Italia da dBTechnologies! Questa serie di

diffusori passivi professionali racchiude in sé anni di esperienza ed innovazione nel campo della diffusione

sonora, con l’impiego di soluzioni d’avanguardia in campo acustico, elettronico e di ricerca sui materiali.

PANORAMICA INTRODUTTIVA

IS è la serie di diffusori passivi dedicati all’installazione. Il modello IS25T in particolare è progettato per la

riproduzione musicale di alta qualità in installazioni e anche per applicazioni dal vivo con diverse congurazioni

di montaggio grazie agli accessori disponibili; offre un sistema point source a due vie con doppio woofer da 5”

(VC 1”) e compression driver da 1” (VC 1.4”). Il design accattivante e le varianti di colore nero o bianco danno

al diffusore un look elegante e discreto, rendendolo adatto a qualsiasi contesto commerciale e istituzionale. I

connettori Euroblock (Phoenix) assicurano un collegamento facile e veloce.

Le caratteristiche principali sono:

• alta qualità di riproduzione sonora

• design compatto e versatile

• ampia copertura acustica

• dimensioni e peso contenuti

COPERTURA ACUSTICA

La tromba ha un design mirato a una dispersione di 100° in orizzontale e 60° in verticale.

In base al tipo di applicazione in cui si sta utilizzando il diffusore, è possibile invertire la copertura ruotando la

tromba seguendo questa semplice procedura:

• svitare le viti che fissano la rete e rimuoverla

• svitare le quattro viti che fissano la tromba al box

• ruotare la tromba di 90° in senso orario o antiorario: i fori per le viti fanno da riferimento

• fissare la tromba nella nuova posizione avvitando le quattro viti nei rispettivi fori

• applicare la rete e avvitare le viti per fissarla al box

MECCANICA

I lati superiore e inferiore sono dotati di una predisposizione per le

staffe (opzionali). Queste predisposizioni consentono una regolazione

dell’inclinazione in posizione orizzontale, ed un ssaggio rapido in

verticale. Vedere anche la sezione ACCESSORI.

PROTEZIONE CONTRO I CORPI SOLIDI E LIQUIDI (GRADO IP)

Il presente diffusore è protetto contro l’ingresso di corpi solidi e liquidi esterni con grado di protezione IP32

secondo la EN 60529.

Per garantire questa specica, il medesimo deve essere installato in posizione orizzontale o verticale, con angolo

non inferiore ai 15° rispetto alla verticale, puntato verso il basso.

Il cavo di connessione del diffusore all’amplicatore deve avere un diametro di 8mm (0.31 inch.).

Il non rispetto delle presenti prescrizioni di installazione, potrebbe non garantire le prestazioni

di protezione dichiarate.

2. COLLEGAMENTI

COLLEGAMENTO E RILANCIO DEL SEGNALE AUDIO

L’ingresso audio e il rilancio ad un altro diffusore avviene tramite connessione Euroblock (Phoenix); i connettori

sono protetti da un pannello metallico facilmente removibile svitando le quattro viti che lo ssano al box.

Collegare la sorgente audio (proveniente ad es. da un amplicatore o altro diffusore) al morsetto INPUT tramite il

connettore femmina incluso, rispettando la polarità indicata vicino ai connettori (positivo con positivo, negativo

con negativo). Il rilancio a un altro diffusore avviene in maniera analoga: collegare l’uscita LINK del diffusore

all’ingresso INPUT di quello successivo rispettando la polarità (positivo con positivo, negativo con negativo).

3. ACCESSORI PRINCIPALI ED ESEMPI DI UTILIZZO

ATTENZIONE!

• Non sono ammessi tipi di installazione diversi da quelli qui illustrati.

• L’installazione deve essere effettuata da parte di personale esperto.

• In caso di installazione a muro, i mezzi di fissaggio, a cura dell’installatore devono

essere adeguati alla parete, per garantire stabilità e sicurezza.

• Verificare sempre che il posizionamento sia stabile, e che l’installazione non costituisca

fonte di pericolo per persone, animali o cose.

• Assicurarsi che l’installazione su palo avvenga su di una superficie di appoggio piana

e priva di inclinazione, in caso contrario è obbligatorio un ssaggio addizionale di

sicurezza.

Per l’installazione verticale, la staffa WB-VIOX205V consente una regolazione precisa dell’angolo di inclinazione

sia nel ssaggio appeso a muro, che appeso su traliccio (ad esempio utilizzando un golfare o un TV-SPIGOT, non

inclusi) come su piantana (grazie all’adattatore per palo di diametro 35 mm). Consultare le istruzioni relative per

ulteriori dettagli.

Per l’installazione orizzontale, la staffa WB-VIOX205H consente una regolazione precisa dell’angolo di

inclinazione nel ssaggio a muro. Consultare le istruzioni relative a questo accessorio per ulteriori dettagli.

Thanks for purchasing a product that was designed and developed in Italy by dBTechnologies! This series of

professional passive speakers embodies years of experience and innovation in the eld of sound reproduction,

with the use of cutting edge solutions in the elds of acoustics, electronics and materials research.

INTRODUCTORY OVERVIEW

IS is a series of passive speakers designed for permanent installation. In particular, the IS25T model is designed for

high-quality music reproduction in installations and also for live applications with diverse congurations thanks

to the wide range of accessories available; offers a 2-way point source system with twin 5" woofers (VC 1") and

1" compression driver (VC 1.4"). The attractive design and colour choice of black or white gives the speakers and

elegant, unobtrusive look, making them ideal for any commercial or institutional setting. The Euroblock (Phoenix)

connectors ensure quick and easy connection.

Its main features are:

• high quality sound

• compact and versatile design

• wide acoustic coverage

• reduced dimensions and weight

• possibility to rotate the horn for horizontal or vertical use

• can be mounted on a wall, pole or truss adapter using the optional accessories (not included

in supply)

The unit weighs only 7 kg.

ACOUSTIC COVERAGE

The horn is designed to give a coverage of 100° horizontally and 60° vertically.

The coverage pattern of the speaker can be inverted to suit different applications by rotating the horn using this

simple procedure:

• unscrew the screws securing the grille and remove the grille

• unscrew the four screws securing the horn to the cabinet

• rotate the horn through 90° either in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction; the screws holes

serve as reference points

• fix the horn in the new position by screwing the four screws back into their holes

• fit the grille and tighten the screws to secure it to the cabinet

MECHANICAL FEATURES

The top and bottom of the speaker are equipped with attachment

ttings for the mounting brackets (optional). These attachment ttings

allow adjustment of the tilt angle with the speaker in the horizontal

position, and rapid xing in the vertical position. See the ACCESSORIES

section.

PROTECTION AGAINST SOLID OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS (IP RATING)

The speaker is protected against the ingress of solid objects and liquids with a rating of IP32 as dened by

EN 60529.

To guarantee this specication is met, the speaker must be installed horizontally or vertically facing downwards

with a tilt angle of at least 15° to the vertical.

The cable connecting the speaker to the amplier must have a diameter of at least 8mm (0.31 inch).

Failure to comply with these installation prescriptions could adversely affect the declared

protection ratings.

2. CONNECTIONS

CONNECTING AND LINKING THE AUDIO SIGNAL

The audio input and link to another speaker are connected via Euroblock (Phoenix) connectors; the connectors

are protected under a metal panel that is easily removed by unscrewing the four screws securing it to the cabinet.

Connect the audio source (e.g., from an amplier or another speaker) to the INPUT terminal using the provided

female connectors, respecting the polarity markings next to the connectors (positive to positive, negative to

negative). The audio signal can be linked to another speaker in a similar way: connect the LINK output of the

speaker to the INPUT terminal of the next speaker respecting the polarity (positive to positive, negative to

negative).

3. MAIN ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE

CAUTION!

• Installation types other than those illustrated here are not allowed.

• Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel.

• If the speaker is to be wall mounted, the fixings used by the installer must be suitable

for the type of wall to ensure stability and safety.

• Always check that placement is stable and the installation is not a hazard to people,

animals or things.

• In the case of pole mounting, make sure that the stand is placed on a flat, level surface,

otherwise additional safety xings will be required.

For vertical installation, the bracket WB-VIOX205V allows precise adjustment of the tilt angle when the speaker is

wall mounted, suspended from a truss (e.g., using an eyebolt or TV-SPIGOT, not included) or mounted on a stand

(using a 35 mm adapter for pole mounting). Refer to the relevant instructions for further details.

For horizontal installation, the bracket WB-VIOX205H allows precise adjustment of the tilt angle when the

speaker is wall mounted. Refer to the specic instructions for this accessory for further details.
