WARNING

Make sure that the loudspeaker is securely installed in a stable position to avoid any injuries or damages to

persons or properties. For safety reasons do not place one loudspeaker on top of another without proper

fastening systems. Before hanging the loudspeaker check all the components for damages, deformations, missing

or damaged parts that may compromise safety during installation. If you use the loudspeakers outdoor avoid

spots exposed to bad weather conditions.

The external wiring connected to speaker output terminals requires installation by qualied personnel only. Once

the equipment is installed, prevent access to the connectors to unqualied personnel. Only use the accessories

and congurations described in this manual, and proceed in accordance with the instructions given in

the manuals for the accessories. dBTechnologies will not accept any responsibility for damages caused by

inappropriate accessories or additional devices.

PANORAMICA INTRODUTTIVA

I subwoofer della serie IS sono progettati pensando alle speciche esigenze degli installatori. Le dimensioni

compatte ne fanno un ottimo elemento per situazioni in cui sia richiesto un rinforzo all’impianto audio con la

massima discrezione; le varianti di colore nero o bianco danno ai subwoofer un look elegante, rendendoli adatti

a qualsiasi contesto commerciale e istituzionale. Assicurano un collegamento facile e veloce grazie ai connettori

Euroblock (Phoenix) Le caratteristiche principali sono:

IS8S

IS8S è equipaggiato con un woofer da 8” (VC 2”).

IS12S

IS12S è equipaggiato con un woofer da 12” (VC 2.5”).

I subwoofer possono essere facilmente appesi grazie a 16 punti di ancoraggio lettati per viti/golfari M8. Per

maggiori dettagli consultare la sezione INSTALLAZIONE di questo manuale.

PROTEZIONE CONTRO I CORPI SOLIDI E LIQUIDI (GRADO IP)

I presenti diffusori sono protetti contro l’ingresso di corpi solidi e liquidi esterni con grado di protezione IP32

secondo la EN 60529 sia in posizione orizzontale che verticale.

I cavi di connessione dei diffusori all’amplicatore devono avere un diametro di 8mm (0.31 inch.).

Il non rispetto delle presenti prescrizioni di installazione, potrebbe non garantire le prestazioni

di protezione dichiarate.

2. COLLEGAMENTI

COLLEGAMENTO E RILANCIO DEL SEGNALE AUDIO

L’ingresso audio e il rilancio ad un altro subwoofer avviene tramite connessione Euroblock (Phoenix); i connettori

sono protetti da un pannello metallico facilmente removibile svitando le quattro viti che lo ssano al box.

Collegare la sorgente audio (proveniente ad es. da un amplicatore o altro subwoofer/diffusore) al morsetto

INPUT tramite il connettore femmina incluso, rispettando la polarità indicata vicino ai connettori (positivo con

positivo, negativo con negativo). Il rilancio a un altro subwoofer avviene in maniera analoga: collegare l’uscita

LINK del subwoofer all’ingresso INPUT di quello successivo rispettando la polarità (positivo con positivo, negativo

con negativo).

3. ACCESSORI PRINCIPALI ED ESEMPI DI UTILIZZO

INSTALLAZIONE A PAVIMENTO

I subwoofer IS8S, IS12S sono progettati per l’installazione a pavimento sia in orizzontale che in verticale. Per

evitare lo scivolamento, sono inclusi dei piedini di gomma da applicare sulla supercie che andrà appoggiata a

pavimento.

È possibile appendere i subwoofer utilizzando dei golfari M8 (non forniti) montati al posto delle viti di ssaggio

poste sulle superci laterali.

Non togliere entrambe le viti di ssaggio e utilizzare solo un golfare per ogni punto di appendibilità.

INTRODUCTORY OVERVIEW

The IS series of subwoofers have been designed with the specic needs of installers in mind. The compact

dimensions make them ideal for situations which require unobtrusive sound reinforcement; available in black or

white versions, the elegant design of these subwoofers make them a perfect t in any commercial or institutional

setting. Connection is quick and easy thanks to the Eurobock (Phoenix) connectors. The main features are:

The IS8S is equipped with an 8" woofer (VC 2").

MECHANICAL FEATURES

The subwoofers can be easily suspended thanks to the 16 threaded anchor points provided for M8 screws/

eyebolts. For further details, refer to the INSTALLATION section of this manual.

PROTECTION AGAINST SOLID OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS (IP RATING)

The speakers are protected against the ingress of solid objects and liquids with a rating of IP32 as dened by EN

60529 in both horizontal and vertical positions.

The cables connecting the speakers to the amplier must have a diameter of at least 8mm (0.31 inch).

Failure to comply with these installation prescriptions could adversely affect the declared

protection ratings.

2. CONNECTIONS

CONNECTING AND LINKING THE AUDIO SIGNAL

The audio input and link to another subwoofer are connected via Euroblock (Phoenix) connectors; the connectors

are protected under a metal panel that is easily removed by unscrewing the four screws securing it to the cabinet.

Connect the audio source (e.g., from an amplier or another subwoofer/speaker) to the INPUT terminal using

the provided female connectors, respecting the polarity markings next to the connectors (positive to positive,

negative to negative). The audio signal can be linked to another subwoofer in a similar way: connect the LINK

output of the subwoofer to the INPUT terminal of the next subwoofer respecting the polarity (positive to positive,

negative to negative).

3. MAIN ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE

FLOOR INSTALLATION

The IS8S and IS12S subwoofers are designed to stand on the oor in either a horizontal of vertical position. To

prevent the subwoofer sliding around, it is supplied with rubber feet that can be afxed to the side of the cabinet

in contact with the oor.

The subwoofer can be suspended using M8 eyebolts (not supplied) tted in place of the xing screws on the sides

of the unit.

Do not remove both xing screws and use only one eyebolt for each suspension point.
