2.1 Verwendungszweck
Die Leistung der Filter entspricht den zugehörigen Normen EN 403:2004,
EN 14387:2004 (in Teilen) und DIN 58647-7:1997.
Die Dräger PARAT 4000/5000/7000 Serie ist für eine Fluchtdauer von mindestens
15 Minuten und zum einmaligen Gebrauch geeignet. Bei ungeübten Anwendern
kann Atemerschwernis auftreten.
Die Fluchthaube ist für die Selbst- und Fremdrettung geeignet.
Dräger PARAT 4720/4730 ist eine filtrierende Industriefluchthaube zur einmali-
gen Selbstrettung aus Betriebsanlagen, in denen plötzlich organische oder anor-
ganische Gase, dampfförmige Atemgifte oder schädliche Partikel auftreten. Bei
hohen Atemgiftkonzentrationen (1 Vol%) und beim Auftreten von Niedrigsiedern
der Gruppe 1 und 2 ist ein reduzierter Schutz zu erwarten.
Dräger PARAT 5510/5520/5530/5550 ist eine filtrierende Brandfluchthaube zum
einmaligen Atemschutz gegen Rauch und einen großen Teil gefährlicher Brand-
gase für mindestens 15 Minuten Einsatzdauer. Die Fluchthaube entspricht der
EN 403:2004 (M) für Mitführgeräte. Die Fluchthaube ist in einer Standardgröße
erhältlich. Kommt die Fluchthaube bei Kindern zum Einsatz, sollten Erwachsene
unterstützen.
Die Tasche der Dräger PARAT 5550 ist ausschließlich für die Verwendung mit der
Dräger Brandfluchthaube zugelassen. In den Zusatztaschen der Dräger
PARAT 5550 kann weitere Zusatzausrüstung, wie Bandschlinge und Keile, ver-
staut und mitgeführt werden.
Dräger PARAT 7520/7530 ist eine kombinierte filtrierende Industrie- und Brand-
fluchthaube zur einmaligen Selbstrettung aus Betriebsanlagen und zum einmali-
gen Atemschutz gegen organische und anorganische Gase. Sie schützt vor
dampfförmigen Atemgiften und schädlichen Partikeln, Rauch und einem großen
Teil gefährlicher Brandgase. Bei hohen Atemgiftkonzentrationen (1 Vol%) und
beim Auftreten von Substanzen mit niedrigem Siedepunkt ist ein reduzierter
Schutz zu erwarten.
HINWEIS
Die Fluchthaube nur für Fluchtzwecke im Gefahrenfall benutzen, nicht
für den Arbeitseinsatz!

2.2 Einschränkungen des Verwendungszwecks
Der Sauerstoffgehalt der Umgebungsluft muss mindestens 17 Vol% bis
19,5 Vol% betragen, dazu jeweilige nationale Richtlinien beachten.

Die Industriefluchthaube Dräger PARAT 4720 und 4730 schützt nicht vor
Kohlenstoffmonoxid (CO). Vergiftungsgefahr!
HINWEIS
Bei der Verwendung der Dräger PARAT 5500/7500, deren Filter
Hopcalite enthalten, kann unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen eine tech-
nisch bedingte Temperaturerhöhung stattfinden. Dieser Vorgang kann
zur Erwärmung des Filtergehäuses und der Atemluft führen. Dieser Zu-
stand beeinträchtigt die Filterleistung und die Gesundheit des Anwen-
ders nicht.

4Gebrauch
4.1 Vorbereitungen für den Gebrauch
4.1.1 Fluchthaube bereithalten
Vor Gebrauch Fluchthaube sichtprüfen.
Bei Beschädigungen (z.B. Kondenswasser, Risse usw.) Fluchthaube nicht
benutzen. In diesem Fall muss das Produkt entsorgt und ausgetauscht
werden.
Ist das Filter z. B. durch einen Sturz verformt, kann die Filterleistung beein-
trächtigt sein. In diesem Fall muss das Filter entsorgt und ausgetauscht
werden.
Dräger PARAT
in der Verpackung in greifbarer Nähe und geschützt vor Beschädi-
gung z. B. am Arbeitsplatz platzieren. Hohe Temperaturen und direkte
Sonneneinstrahlung vermeiden.
Verfallsdatum auf dem Filter prüfen. Nicht am Produkt manipulieren. Die Plombe
an der Verpackung muss unbeschädigt sein. Zum Einprägen des Gebrauchs die
Gebrauchsanweisung wiederholt lesen.
4.2 Während des Gebrauchs

Verpackung öffnen (Bild 1 und 2 auf Seite 2).
1. Dräger PARAT 4720 / 5520 / 7520 (Soft Pack):
Plombe öffnen.
Unter die gelbe Lasche greifen (Bild 1 auf Seite 2) und kräftig in Pfeilrichtung
ziehen, bis die Verpackung vollständig geöffnet ist (Bild 2 auf Seite 2).
1. Dräger PARAT 4730 / 5530 / 7530 (Hard Case):
Unter den gelben Verschluss greifen und kräftig in Pfeilrichtung ziehen, bis
die Verpackung vollständig geöffnet ist (Bild 2 auf Seite 2).
Die Plombe ist gelöst.
2. Fluchthaube greifen und kräftig herausziehen, die Klettbänder sind geöffnet
(Bild 3 auf Seite 2).
HINWEIS
Bei kleinen Kopfgrößen gegebenenfalls die Halbmaske auf Mund und
Nase drücken, um eine bessere Dichtheit zu erzielen.
Bei großen Kopfgrößen kann der Tragekomfort eingeschränkt sein.
WARNUNG
Fluchthaube nur benutzen, wenn sie unbeschädigt und die Plombe am
Gerät unversehrt ist.

1. Verpackung öffnen (Bild 1 auf Seite 2).
2. Fluchthaube greifen und aus der Verpackung ziehen (Bild 2 auf Seite 2).
3. Rote Aufreißbänder greifen und beide Stopfen aus dem Filter ziehen (Bild 3
auf Seite 2).
Dräger PARAT 5550
1. Tasche öffnen.
Folienbeutel greifen und aus der Tasche ziehen (Bild 1 auf Seite 2).
2. Folienbeutel an der farbig markierten Einkerbung aufreißen (Bild 2 auf
Seite 2).
3. Rote Aufreißbänder am Folienbeutelrand greifen.
Fluchthaube greifen und aus dem Folienbeutel ziehen, dabei beide Stopfen
aus dem Filter ziehen (Bild 3 auf Seite 2).
Folgende Handlungsschritte sind für alle Varianten der PARAT
Fluchthauben gültig:
Prüfen, ob beide Stopfen gezogen sind. Nicht gezogene Stopfen an der
Lasche greifen und herausziehen.
Fluchthaube für den Eigenbedarf oder der zu rettenden Person aufsetzen
(Bild 4 auf Seite 2):
Halskrause mit beiden Händen fassen und aufweiten.
Fluchthaube über den Kopf stülpen oder nach Bedarf mit dem Kinn voraus die
Fluchthaube über den Kopf stülpen.
Sicherstellen, dass Nase und Kinn in der Halbmaske sitzen. Gegebenenfalls
Filter greifen und nach vorne ziehen und die Halbmaske gleichmäßig vor
Mund und Nase rücken.
Alle Haare müssen sich unter der Fluchthaube befinden.
Sitz der Halbmaske auf Dichtheit prüfen:
dazu die Filteröffnung mit dem Handballen verschließen. Ist beim Einatmen
ein Luftzug spürbar, Sitz der Halbmaske korrigieren.
HINWEIS
Ist der Folienbeutel stark beschädigt und dadurch sichtbar Feuchtigkeit
in Form von Tropfen in die Verpackung eingedrungen, Fluchthaube
austauschen.
WARNUNG
Vollbärte, tiefe Narben und lange Koteletten verursachen Leckagen und
können zu einer Gefährdung des Geräteträgers führen!
Wenn Kinder die Fluchthaube verwenden, sollten Erwachsene
überprüfen, ob die Halbmaske dicht auf Kinn und Nase sitzt.

Ruhig atmen!
Die Atmung ist geringfügig erschwert. Die Atemluft kann sich merklich erwär-
men, dies ist Zeichen einer normalen Funktion.
Fluchtweg zum Notausgang suchen – ist das nicht möglich, auf das Eintreffen
der Rettungskräfte warten! Zeichen geben, z. B. Klopfen oder sich am
Fenster zeigen.
5Wartung
Die maximale Lebensdauer der filtrierenden Fluchthaube beträgt 8 Jahre ab
Herstelldatum. Nach einmaligem Filtertausch verlängert sich die Lebensdauer
der Fluchthaube um weitere 8 Jahre. Nach Ablauf von 16 Jahren Fluchthaube
entsorgen.
Nur fachkundiges Personal darf die Fluchthaube warten.
Filter der unbenutzten Fluchthaube wechseln, wenn
Stopfen des Filters geöffnet wurden,
die Plombe beschädigt ist,
das auf der Verpackung angegebene Verfallsdatum überschritten ist,
8 Jahre vergangen sind.
Filterwechsel-Set verwenden, siehe zugehörige Montageanweisung.
Die Dräger PARAT 5550 hat eine maximale Lebensdauer von 8 Jahren. Danach
ist ein einmaliger Filterwechsel durch den Service von Dräger möglich.
5.1 Reinigung
Die Tasche der Dräger PARAT 5550 bei Verschmutzungen mit einem milden Rei-
nigungsmittel reinigen. Starke Verschmutzungen mit einer Handreinigung vorbe-
handeln1).
1. Vor der Reinigung den Folienbeutel aus der Tasche nehmen.
2. Eine Reinigungslösung aus Wasser und einem Reinigungsmittel vorbereiten.
3. Die Tasche mit einem weichen Lappen und der Reinigungslösung reinigen.
4. Anschließend unter fließendem Wasser gründlich ausspülen.
Darauf achten, dass die Tasche nach dem Reinigungsvorgang vollständig ge-
trocknet ist.
5. Erst dann die im Folienbeutel verpackte Dräger PARAT 5550 in der Tasche
verstauen.
6 Lagerung
Fluchthaube in der Verpackung kühl und trocken lagern. Direkte Sonneneinstrah-
lung und Temperaturen unter -20 oC und über +55 oC vermeiden.

2.1 Intended use
The performance of the filters corresponds to the related standards EN 403:2004,
EN 14387:2004 (in parts) and DIN 58647-7:1997.
The Dräger PARAT 4000/5000/7000 series is designed for an escape period of at
least 15 minutes. It is intended for single use only. Untrained users may
experience breathing difficulties.
The escape hood is suitable for self rescue and third-party rescue.
Dräger PARAT 4720/4730 is a filtering industrial escape hood for single use
during escape from facilities where organic or inorganic gases, toxic vapours or
dangerous particles are suddenly released. At high concentrations of breathing
poisons (1 Vol%) and in the presence of low-boiling compounds of group 1 and
2, a reduced degree of protection is to be expected.
Dräger PARAT 5510/5520/5530/5550 is a filtering fire escape hood designed for
single use, which provides respiratory protection against smoke and most
hazardous combustible gases for at least 15 minutes. The escape hood complies
with EN 403:2004 (M) for mobile hoods. The escape hood is available in a
standard size. Adults should assist children when donning the escape hood.
The bag of the Dräger PARAT 5550 is only approved for use with the Dräger fire
escape hood. Extra equipment such as runner and wedges can be stored and
transported in the additional pockets of the Dräger PARAT 5550.
Dräger PARAT 7520/7530 is a combined filtering industrial and fire escape hood
for single use during escape from facilities. It provides respiratory protection
against organic and inorganic gases. It also provides protection against toxic
vapours and dangerous particles, smoke and most hazardous combustible
gases. At high concentrations of breathing poisons (1 Vol%) and in the presence
of substances with a low boiling point, a reduced degree of protection is to be
expected.
NOTICE
Only use the escape hood for the purpose of escaping in an emergency.
Do not use during regular operations!

The filters of the Dräger PARAT 5500/7500 contain Hopcalite. A

4.1 Preparation for use
4.1.1 Keep the escape hood ready
Before use, visually inspect the excape hood.
Do not use the escape hood if it shows damage (e.g. condensation water,
cracks, etc.). In this case, the product must be disposed of and replaced.
If the filter is deformed, e.g. by a fall, the filter performance may be impaired.
In this case, the filter must be disposed of and replaced.
Store the
Dräger PARAT
in its packaging within easy reach and protected against
damage, e.g., at the workplace. Avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight.
Check the expiry date on the filter. Do not manipulate the product. The seal on the
packaging must be undamaged. Memorise the Instructions for Use.
4.2 During use

Open the packaging (Figure 1 and 2 on page 2).
1. Dräger PARAT 4720 / 5520 / 7520 (Soft Pack):
Undo the seal.
Reach underneath the yellow clasp (Figure 1 on page 2) and pull forcefully
in the direction of the arrow until the packaging is completely open (Figure 2
on page 2).
1. Dräger PARAT 4730 / 5530 / 7530 (Hard Case):
Reach underneath the yellow fastener and pull forcefully in the direction of the
arrow until the packaging is completely open (Figure 2 on page 2).
The seal is broken.
2. Grasp the escape hood and pull it out forcefully, the rip-tape straps are open
(Figure 3 on page 2).
NOTICE
If you have a smaller head, you may need to press the half mask over
your mouth and nose for better sealing.
If you have a large head the face mask may feel slightly less comfortable.
WARNING
Only use the escape hood if it is undamaged and the seal on the device
is intact.

2. Open the foil pouch at the notch highlighted in colour (Figure 2 on page 2).
3. Grasp the red pull cords at the edge of the foil pouch.
Grasp the escape hood and pull it out of the foil pouch. Both plugs must be
pulled out of the filter (Figure 3 on page 2).
The following steps are necessary for all variants of the PARAT escape
hoods:
Check that both plugs have been removed. Grasp any plugs that have not
been removed at the clasp and pull them out.
Don the escape hood yourself or fit it on the person to be rescued (Figure 4
on page 2):
Grip the collar with both hands and open it wide.
Pull the escape hood over your head or first insert your chin and then pull the
escape hood over your head as necessary.
Make sure that your nose and chin are positioned inside the half mask. If
required, take hold of the filter, pull it forward and move the half mask so that
it is positioned correctly over your mouth and nose.
All your hair must be tucked under the escape hood.

Check the sealing of the face mask:
close the filter opening with the ball of your hand. If you can feel an airflow,
correct the position of the half mask.
Breathe calmly!
Breathing is slightly more difficult. The breathing air can become noticeably
warmer, this is an indication that the filter is operating correctly.
NOTICE
If the foil pouch is severely damaged and moisture visibly entered the
packaging in the form of drops, replace the escape hood.
WARNING
Full beards, deep scars and long sideburns can cause leaks and put the
wearer of the device at risk!
If the escape hood is used by children, an adult should make sure that
the half mask is positioned correctly around the chin and nose.

Find an escape route to an emergency exit. If this is not possible, wait for the
rescue teams to arrive! Knock on walls or stand at a window so that the
rescuers can find you.
5 Maintenance
The maximum life time of the filtering escape hood is 8 years from the date of
manufacture. After the filter has been replaced once, the life time of the escape
hood is extended by a further 8 years. After 16 years have passed dispose of the
escape hood.
The escape hood must be maintained by competent personnel only.
Replace the filter of an unused escape hood if
the plugs of the filter have been opened.

The Dräger PARAT 5550 has a one-time maximum life time of 8 years.
Afterwards, one filter replacement by the service of Dräger is possible.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean the bag for the Dräger PARAT 5550 with a mild cleaning agent in the event
of contamination. Pre-treat any heavy contamination by cleaning the bag
manually1).
1. Remove the foil pouch from the bag before cleaning.
2. Prepare a cleaning solution consisting of water and a cleaning agent.
3. Clean the bag using a soft cloth and the cleaning solution.
4. Then rinse thoroughly under running water.
Ensure that the bag is completely dry after the cleaning process.
5. Only then can the Dräger PARAT 5550, packaged in the foil pouch, be stored
in the bag.
6Storage
Store the escape hood in its packaging in a cool and dry place. Avoid direct
sunlight and temperatures below -20 oC and above +55 oC.
7 Disposal
Dispose of the filter and escape hood in accordance with the applicable local
waste disposal regulations.

Le Dräger PARAT série 4000/5000/7000 est homologué selon : (UE) 2016/425.

2.1 Utilisation conforme
La puissance du filtre est conforme aux normes correspondantes EN 403:2004,
EN 14387:2004 (en partie) et DIN 58647-7:1997.
Le Dräger PARAT série 4000/5000/7000 est adapté à une durée d'évacuation de
15 minutes au minimum et est prévu pour un usage unique. Il peut provoquer
des difficultés respiratoires chez les utilisateurs non entraînés.
La cagoule d'évacuation se prête à l'auto-sauvetage et au sauvetage d'autrui.
Le Dräger PARAT 4720/4730 est une cagoule d'évacuation filtrante permettant
une seule évacuation évacuation des les sites industriels en cas d'apparition
soudaine de gaz organiques ou inorganiques, de vapeurs toxiques ou de
particules nocives. En présence de concentrations élevées (1 Vol%) ou de
composés organiques à bas point d'ébullition des groupes 1 et 2, il faut s'attendre
à une réduction de la protection.
Le Dräger PARAT 5510/5520/5530/5550 est une cagoule d'évacuation pour
incendie offrant une protection respiratoire unique contre la fumée et une grande
partie des gaz d'incendie dangereux pendant une durée d'intervention de
15 minutes au minimum. La cagoule d'évacuation correspond à la norme
EN 403:2004 (M) pour les appareils de protection respiratoire pour l'évacuation.
La cagoule d'évacuation est disponible en taille standard. Si la cagoule
d'évacuation est utilisée sur des enfants, des adultes doivent les aider.
Le sac de la cagoule d'évacuation Dräger PARAT 5550 est uniquement autorisée
pour l'utilisation avec la cagoule d'évacuation Dräger. Dans les sacs
supplémentaires de la cagoule d'évacuation PARAT 5550, il est possible de
ranger et de transporter des équipements complémentaires, comme des
anneaux de sangle et des cales.
Le Dräger PARAT 7520/7530 est une cagoule d'évacuation filtrante combiné
pour l'industrie et incendie permettant une seule évacuation dans des sites
industriels et offrant une seule protection respiratoire contre les gaz organiques
et inorganiques. Elle protège des vapeurs toxiques et des particules nocives, de
