INTRODUZIONE
Caddy Classic è un raddrizzatore a transistor per saldatura con elettrodi ricoperti e
saldatura TIG (accensione a striscio). L’avanzata elettronica offre un comando velo-
ce, ridotti consumi energetici, ottima qualità di saldatura ecc.
La tecnica della raddrizzatura ha permesso di contenere peso e dimensioni degli a p-
parecchi. Grazie alla forma snella e compatta ed al peso ridotto, gli apparecchi sono
facilmente trasportabili. La cinghia può essere r ipiegata, trasformandosi in una prati -
ca maniglia per il trasporto. In posizione estratta, gli apparecchi Caddy possono es-
sere portati a spalla.

CHOCK ELETTRICO -- Può essere mortale
S Installare e mettere a terra l’elettrosaldatrice secondo le norme.
S Non toccare particolari sotto carico o gli elettrodi a mani nude o con attrezzatura di protezione
bagnata.
S Isolarsi dalla terra e dal pezzo in lavorazione.
S Assicurarsi che la posizione di lavoro assunta sia sicura.
FUMO E GAS -- Possono essere dannosi
S Tenere il volto lontano dai fumi di saldatura.

DESCRIZIONE TECNICA
Il Caddy è fornito di connessioni OKC per l’attacco rapido di cavo di ritorno e di sal-
datura.
I raddrizzatori sono forniti con cavo di alimentazione della lunghezza di 3 m.
Caddy Classic è forniti con cavi di saldatura e massa della lunghezza di 3 m. I cavi
sono installati su appositi raccordi per un veloce cambio della polarità.
Il numero di serie è impresso sulla targhetta.

Il generatore per saldatura è conforme ai requisiti previsti dalle norme
IEC 974--1.
Sezione del cavo di alimentazione conforme alle norme svedesi.
Il simbolo
indica che il generatore è pr ogettato per l’utilizzo in ambienti ad alto
rischio elettrico.
Il codice IP indica la classe di protezione, cioè il livello di protezione dalla penetrazio-
ne di acqua e particelle solide.
Gli apparecchi di classe IP 23 possono essere utilizzati sia in interni che all’aperto.
INSTALLAZIONE
Caddy Classic è disponibile in versione da 230 V, monofase.
La versione da 230 V può essere utilizzata a 230--240 V 50--60 Hz. Per trarre il mas-
simo dall’utilizzo di Caddy Classic, occorre installare un fusibile da 16A. In caso di
saldatura ad un massimo di circa 100A è sufficiente un fusibile ritardato da 10A.

UTILIZZO
L’interruttore è situato sul pannello posteriore dei raddrizzatori Caddy. Quando si ac-
cende l’apparecchio, si illumina la spia bianca sul pannello anteriore.

Per regolare la corrente, agire sul pomello sul pannello
anteriore.
Non occorre preoccuparsi per eventuali sovraccarichi,
poiché l’apparecchio è dotato di una termica che scatta
in caso di surriscaldamento. Questo stato è segnalato
dall’accensione della spia gialla e, in tal caso, non è pos-
sibile saldare.
Saldatura con elettrodo ricoperto
Caddy eroga corrente continua, quindi possono essere saldati tutti i metalli in lega di
acciaio e non, acciaio inossidabile e ghisa.
Caddy Classic permette l’utilizzo della maggioranza degli elettrodi ricoperti con dia-
metro compreso fra ∅ 1,6 e ∅ 3,25.
Saldatura TIG
La saldatura T IG risulta particolarmente utile laddove sia richiesta un’elevata qualità
nonché per la saldatura di lamiere sottili. I raddrizzatori Caddy presentano ottime ca-
ratteristiche anche per la saldatura T IG.
Consigliamo di sfruttare l’accensione a striscio; in altre parole, per creare l’arco si fa
strisciare uniformemente l’elettrodo di wolframio sul pezzo. Per poter effettuare la
saldatura TIG occorre dotare il raddrizzatore Caddy di una torcia T IG con valvola del
gas, una bombola di gas argon, un regolatore di gas argon, un elettrodo di wolframio
e, all’occorrenza, materiale di apporto.
MANUTENZIONE
Caddy richiede un minimo di manutenzione. Solitamente è sufficiente pulire l’appa-
recchio con aria compressa asciutta una volta all’anno.
