Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the 3 Port Mini DisplayPort MST Hub. This product has been designed to provide
trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime technical
support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The Mini DisplayPort MST Hub has been designed to utilise the Multi-Stream capabilities of the DisplayPort
interface, allowing three DisplayPort monitors to be directly connected to a single Mini DisplayPort
interface on a PC or Notebook. The MST Hub helps overcome the limitation of many modern computers
which offer only a single video output, allowing multiple displays to be connected without the need for
purchasing an additional graphics card. With support for three, uncompressed, independent displays with
resolutions up to 4K the MST hub is perfect for professionals requiring multiple workspaces to aide their
productivity.

Installation
Make sure all devices are switched off before making any connections. Once all connections have been
made, power on your monitors first, then your source device.
It may be necessary to adjust your Windows display settings if any of the monitors are not detected.
Once the displays have been detected the monitors should work as if they were connected directly to a
video card.
MST has a maximum bandwidth of 21.6 Gbps; higher resolutions can restrict the available bandwidth.
Exceeding 100% will prevent some monitors from displaying a picture. Please see below for average
resolution bandwidths.

Dieser Mini DisplayPort MST Hub wurde speziell entwickelt, um die Vorteile der Multi-Stream-Transport-
Funktion (MST) der DisplayPort-Schnittstelle zu nutzen. Er ermöglicht ein Mini DisplayPort-Quellsignal
eines PCs oder Notebooks auf bis zu drei DisplayPort-fähige Zielgeräte (Displays, Projektoren uvm.) zu
übertragen. Moderne Quellgeräte bestechen heutzutage in punkto Mobilität und Flexibilität, was aber auch
immer weniger Videoausgänge oder generelle Ausgangsports zur Folge hat. Dieser MST Hub sorgt dafür,
dass ohne großen Aufwand mehrere Bildschirme genutzt werden können, ohne das Gerät mit einer
zusätzlichen Grafikkarte auszustatten. Er unterstützt unkomprimierte Auflösungen bis zu 4K auf bis zu drei
unabhängigen Displays und ist somit die ideale Lösung, um die Produktivität von Multitasking-
Anwendungen in professionellen Umgebungen mit hochauflösenden Darstellungen zu erhöhen.

Installation
Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass vor der Installation alle Geräte abgeschaltet sind. Wenn alle Verbindungen
hergestellt sind, schalten Sie zuerst die Displays und dann die Quellgeräte ein.
Wenn die genutzten Monitore nicht direkt erkannt werden, ist es nötig, Windows-Displayeinstellungen zu
verändern. Wenn die Displays richtig erkannt bzw. konfiguriert wurden, funktionieren die Displays als
wären sie direkt mit der Grafikkarte verbunden.
MST hat eine maximale Bandbreite von 21.6Gbit/s; höhere Auflösungen können die verfügbare
Bandbreite einschränken. Wird diese um 100% überschritten, kann dies zum Ausfall weiterer Displays
führen. Nachfolgend die Durchschnittsauflösungen:

Le Hub Mini DisplayPort MST a été conçu pour utiliser les fonctionnalités Multi-Stream de l’interface
DisplayPort, permettant aux moniteurs DisplayPort d’être directement connectés à une seule interface
Mini DisplayPort sur un PC ou ordinateur portable. Le Hub MST permet de dépasser les limites des
ordinateurs ne possédant qu’une sortie de carte graphique, pour connecter plusieurs affichages sans

Installation
Assurez-vous que les appareils soient hors tension avant de réaliser les connexions. Une fois les
branchements effectués, démarrez les écrans en premier, puis votre appareil source.
Il peut être nécessaire d’ajuster les paramètres d’affichage sous Windows si un moniteur n’est pas
détecté. Une fois les écrans détectés, ils pourront fonctionner comme s’ils étaient directement connectés
à une carte graphique.
Une bande passante maximale de 21.6Gbit/s est disponible en MST; les résolutions plus hautes peuvent
restreindre la bande passante disponible. Le dépassement de la bande passante empêchera certains
moniteurs d’afficher une image. Voir ci-dessous pour les bandes passantes moyennes.

Installazione
Assicuratevi che tutti i dispositivi siano spenti prima di effettuare qualsiasi connessione. Una volta che
tutte le connessioni sono state completate accendete per primi i monitor e poi il dispositivo sorgente.
Può essere necessario regolare le impostazioni dello schermo in Windows nel caso che uno degli
schermi non sia rilevato. Una volta che tutti gli schermi sono stati correttamente rilevati questi
dovrebbero funzionare come se fossero connessi direttamente alla scheda video.
L’MST ha una larghezza di banda massima di 21.6 Gbps; le risoluzioni più elevate possono ridurre la
banda disponibile e nel caso questo limite venisse superato (oltre il 100% della banda) può accadere
che gli schermi non visualizzino alcun segnale. Vi preghiamo di controllare la banda consumata in
percentuale dalle diverse risoluzione utilizzando il seguente elenco:

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical
and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead,
these products must enter the recycling process.
Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways.
Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic products. More details can
be obtained from your national WEEE recycling agency.
Germany / Deutschland Rücknahme Elektroschrott und Batterie-Entsorgung
