Allgemeines
Der POWER PEAK 1 PLUS ist für das Schnelladen und Entladen von 4 bis 7-zelligen
NICD- oder NIMH-Akkus geeignet.
Die Abschaltung erfolgt bei vollgeladenem Akku nach der Delta-Peak-Methode.
Das Gerät ist für den Betrieb an einer 12V Bleibatterie oder einem entsprechend leistungs-
fähigen, gut stabilisierten 12V oder 13,8 V Netzteil vorgesehen.
Sicherheitshinweise
- Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch das Ladegerät von der Spannungsquelle trennen und
eventuell angeschlossene Akkus abnehmen.
- Auf freie Kühlöffnungen zur Luftzirkulation achten. – Nicht auf Teppich oder Filz stellen.
- Ladegerät und Akkus nicht auf brennbaren Unterlagen betreiben und nicht unbeauf-
sichtigt lassen.
- Vor Feuchtigkeit schützen.
- Auf richtige Polung aller Anschlüsse und Ausgänge achten.
- Kurzschlüsse vermeiden.
- Nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aussetzen, Gerät nicht abdecken.
- Keine Akkus laden, die stark erwärmt sind. Akkus auf Umgebungstemperatur abkühlen
lassen.
- Nur schnelladefähige und formierte Akkus verwenden.
- Es dürfen nur Zellen gleicher Kapazität und gleichen Fabrikats im Verbund geladen wer-
den.
- Nicht zwei Akkus zum Laden parallel schalten.
- Nur zum Laden von wiederaufladbaren Akkus geeignet.
- Ladeströme der Höchstbelastung der am Akku befindlichen Kabel und
Steckverbindungen anpassen.
- Ausgang und Eingang nicht miteinander verbinden.

Bedienelemente
Inbetriebnahme
- Krokodilklemmen der Stromversorgung an eine 12 V Bleibatterie oder ein entsprechen-
des Netzteil anschließen, unbedingt auf richtige Polung achten (rot = plus / schwarz =
minus) - siehe auch Absatz „Netzteil“.
- Im LC-Display erscheint „0000“, die LEDs sind dunkel.
- Ladekabel polrichtig (rot = plus / schwarz = minus) an die Buchsen des Ladeausgangs
anschließen.
Das Ladegerät verfügt über die Funktionen Laden, Entladen, Entladen-vor-Laden und
zyklisches Entladen-vor-Laden. Um eine dieser Funktionen zu aktivieren, sind die folgen-
den Schritte auszuführen:
- Auswahl des Akkutyps mittels des NICD / NIMH Schiebeschalters.
- Anschließen des Akkus an das Ladekabel. Unbedingt auf richtige Polung achten! Es
ertönt ein Beep und die grüne SLOW-CHARGING-LED blinkt als Zeichen für
Erhaltungsladung.
- Einstellen des Ladestroms am LADESTROMSTELLER. Dabei ist unbedingt zu
beachten, daß 4- oder 5-zellige Akkus nur mit maximal 1,5 A geladen werden dür-
fen. Außerdem darf die maximale Laderate von 4- oder 5-zelligen NIMH-Akkus 1C
nicht überschreiten, z. B. 1,0 A bei 1000 mAh Akkukapazität.

Laden
MODE-Taste einmal kurz betätigen. Es ertönt ein kurzer Beep als Quittung, die rote FAST-
CHARGING-LED leuchtet. Der Akku wird mit dem eingestellten Strom geladen. Das
Display zeigt die eingeladene Kapazität an. Der Ladevorgang wird bei vollgeladenem Akku
durch die Delta-Peak-Abschaltautomatik beendet.
Entladen
MODE-Taste ca. 2 Sekunden gedrückt halten. Es ertönen zwei kurze Beep als Quittung, die
gelbe DISCHARGING-LED leuchtet. Der Akku wird mit ca. 1 A (spannungsabhängig) ent-
laden. Das Display zeigt die entladene Kapazität an. Der Entladevorgang wird bei einer
Akkuspannung von ca. 0,8 V pro Zelle beendet.
Entladen-vor-Laden
MODE-Taste zweimal kurz betätigen. Es ertönen drei kurze Beep als Quittung. Es wird ein
Entladevorgang gefolgt von einem Ladevorgang ausgeführt. Das Display zeigt, entspre-
chend der aktiven Funktion, die eingeladene bzw. entladene Kapazität an.
Der jeweilige Ladezustand wird durch die DISCHARGING-LED oder die CHARGING-LED
angezeigt.
Zyklisches Entladen-vor-Laden
Den Zyklus nach dem Formieren zum Auffrischen älterer Akkus maximal 3 bis 5 mal anwen-
den.
MODE-Taste zweimal betätigen, beim zweiten Betätigen zwei Sekunden gedrückt halten.
Es ertönen vier kurze Beep. Es werden endlos Entladen-vor-Laden-Zyklen ausgeführt. Das
Display zeigt, entsprechend der aktiven Funktion, die eingeladene bzw. entladene
Kapazität an.
Die Funktionen werden entweder automatisch oder durch Betätigung der MODE-Taste
beendet und durch zwei lange Beep quittiert.
Im Falle einer automatischen Abschaltung ertönt alle zehn Sekunden ein Beep.
In allen Fällen befindet sich das Ladegerät nach der Abschaltung im Zustand der
Erhaltungsladung, die grüne LED blinkt und im Display ist der zum Zeitpunkt der
Abschaltung eingeladene bzw. entladene Kapazitätswert gespeichert. Dieser
Kapazitätswert wird entweder durch Anschließen eines Akkus oder durch Umschalten von
Laden auf Entladen oder umgekehrt gelöscht.
Mögliche Fehlerursachen
- SLOW-CHARGING-LED blinkt, MODE-Taste reagiert nicht: Akku verpolt oder
Kurzschluß am Ladeausgang.
- SLOW-CHARGING-LED blinkt nicht: Unterbrechung zum Akku oder defekte Sicherung.

Allgemeines über das Laden und Entladen von Akkus
Grundsätzlich sind die Hinweise der Akkuhersteller zu beachten, insbesondere die
Hinweise über maximale Ladeströme.
Um sicherzustellen, daß die Delta-Peak-Automatik optimal arbeiten kann, dürfen nur for-
mierte Akkus schnellgeladen werden, d.h. neue oder längere Zeit nicht benutzte Akkus
müssen in regelmäßigen Zeitabständen entladen und mit kleinen Laderaten, typischerwei-
se C/10 (Erhaltungsladung) formiert werden. Dazu Akku anschließen und MODE-Taste
nicht betätigen.
Ein gelegentlich vollständiges Entladen wirkt auch dem MEMORY-EFFEKT entgegen.
Anmerkungen
- Blinken der FAST-CHARGING-LED zeigt an, daß die Abschaltautomatik aktiviert ist.
- Beim Laden von 7-zelligen Akkus kann es vorkommen, daß der Ladestrom gegen Ende
der Ladung absinkt.
- Das Beenden das Ladens bzw. Entladens soll nicht durch Abziehen des Akkus erfolgen.
Immer mit der MODE-Taste beenden.
Netzteil
- Durch Anschluß des Power Peak 7A Netzteils, Bestell Nr. 8415 kann das Ladegerät
auch am 230 Volt Netz betrieben werden und wird dadurch zu einem universellen 230
V-AC und 12 V-DC Ladegerät.

Introduction
The POWER PEAK 1 PLUS is designed for fast-charging and discharging NICD and NIMH
battery packs consisting of 4 to 7 cells.
When the pack is fully charged the process is terminated by the Delta Peak method.
The unit is designed for use with a 12 V lead-acid battery or a powerful well stabilised mains
PSU rated at 12 V or 13.6 V.
Safety notes
- If the charger is not to be used for a protracted period, disconnect it from the power
source and remove any battery packs connected to it.
- Be sure to keep the cooling slots unobstructed to provide good air circulation - don’t
stand the charger on a carpet or felt surface.
- Do not set up the charger and batteries on a flammable surface, and never leave the
unit operating unsupervised.
- Protect the unit from damp.
- Take care to maintain correct polarity at all connections and outputs.
- Avoid short-circuits.
- Don’t subject the charger to direct sunshine, and do not cover it.
- Do not charge batteries which are already hot; allow them to cool down to ambient tem-
perature before recharging.
- Use only packs of fast-charge cells which have been properly balanced (equal state of
charge).
- Packs must consist of cells of the same make, type and capacity.
- Do not wire two packs together in parallel for charging.
- The unit is only suitable for use with rechargeable batteries.
- Set charge currents within the maximum rated capacity of the cables and connectors
attached to the battery pack.
- Never connect any charger output to the input.

Charger controls
Using the charger
- Connect the crocodile clips to a 12 V lead-acid battery or a suitable mains PSU; take
great care over correct polarity (red = positive / black = negative); see section entitled
“Mains PSU”.
- The LCD screen will show “0000”, and the LEDs will remain off.
- Connect the charge leads to the charge output sockets with correct polarity (red = posi-
tive / black = negative).
The charger features the following functions: Charge, Discharge, Discharge-before-Charge
and cyclic Discharge-before-Charge. The following steps are required to activate these fun-
ctions:
- Select the battery type using the NICD / NIMH slide switch.
- Connect the battery pack to the charge lead, taking great care over correct polarity. The
unit emits a beep, and the green SLOW CHARGING LED flashes to indicate that trick-
le charging is taking place.
- Set the charge current on the CHAR CURRENT KNOB. Note that 4-cell and 5-cell
packs must be charged at no more than 1.5 A. Moreover the maximum charge rate
for 4-cell and 5-cell NIMH batteries must not exceed 1C, e.g. 1.0 A for a battery of
1000 mAh capacity.

Charging
Press the MODE button once briefly. You will hear a short beep in confirmation, and the red
FAST CHARGING LED will glow. The battery is now charged at the set current, and the
screen displays the charged-in capacity. The charge process is terminated by the automa-
tic Delta Peak circuit when the pack is fully charged.
Discharging
Hold the MODE button pressed in for about two seconds. You will hear two short beeps in
confirmation, and the yellow DISCHARGING LED will glow. The battery is discharged at
around 1 A (voltage-dependent), and the screen displays the discharged capacity. The
discharge process is terminated at a battery voltage of around 0.8 V per cell.
Discharge-before-Charge
Press the MODE button twice briefly. You will hear three short beeps in confirmation, and
the charger carries out a discharge process followed by a charge process. The screen dis-
plays the charged-in or discharged capacity according to the active function.
The DISCHARGING LED or the CHARGING LED lights up to indicate which phase is in
progress at any time.
Cyclic Discharge-before-Charge
The cycle function can be used to rejuvenate older batteries once the pack has been balan-
ced; we recommend three to max. five cycles.
Press the MODE button twice, holding it pressed in for two seconds the second time. You
will hear four short beeps, and the charger embarks on an infinite number of discharge-
before-charge cycles. The screen displays the charged-in or discharged capacity according
to the active function.
The functions are either terminated automatically or by the operator pressing the MODE
button, in which case you will hear two long beeps in confirmation.
If the charger switches off automatically you will hear one beep every ten seconds.
In all cases the charger reverts to trickle charge mode after termination, the green LED flas-
hes and the screen shows the stored charged-in or discharged capacity value at the time
of the termination. This capacity value is erased when you either connect a battery pack, or
you switch from Charge to Discharge or vice versa.
Fault-finding
- SLOW CHARGING LED flashes, charger does not respond to MODE button. Battery
connected with reverse polarity, or short-circuit present at charge output.
- SLOW CHARGING LED does not flash: interruption in battery lead, or fuse blown.

General information about charging and discharging batteries
As a basic rule please be sure to observe the battery manufacturer’s recommendations,
especially the information regarding maximum charge currents.
To ensure that the automatic Delta Peak circuit is able to work as efficiently as possible,
only properly balanced packs should be fast-charged. This means that new packs, and
packs which have not been used for a long time, should be discharged at regular intervals
and re-balanced by slow-charging at a low rate, typically C/10. To do this connect the bat-
tery and press the MODE button.
An occasional complete discharge process also helps to avoid and/or eliminate the
MEMORY EFFECT.
Notes
- If the FAST CHARGING LED flashes, this indicates that the automatic charge termina-
tion circuit is active.
- When 7-cell battery packs are being charged you may find that the charge current dec-
lines towards the end of the charge process.
- Don’t end the charge or discharge process simply by disconnecting the battery pack;
always stop the process by pressing the MODE button.
Mains PSU
- If you use the Power Peak 7Amains PSU, Order No. 8415, the charger can also be ope-
rated from the 230 Volts mains supply, turning it into a universal 230 V AC and 12 V DC
charger.

Généralités
Avec le chargeur POWER PEAK 1 PLUS est conçu pour la charge rapide et la décharge
d’accus de 4 à 7 éléments Cd-Ni ou NiMH.
La commutation en fin de charge, lorsque l’accu est parfaitement chargé, intervient par l’in-
termédiaire de la procédure Delta-Peak.
L’appareil est conçu pour un fonctionnement avec un accu 12 volts de voiture ou un bloc
d’alimentation secteur puissant et parfaitement stabilisé sur 13,8 volts.
Consignes de sécurité :
- Lorsqu’il est prévu de ne pas utiliser l’appareil pendant un certain temps, le désolidari-
ser du secteur et en retirer les accus encore en place.
- Veiller à laisser dégagées les fentes de refroidissement afin de permettre à l’air de cir-
culer. Ne pas l’installer sur un tapis ou du feutre pour une procédure d charge.
- Ne pas disposer les accus et l’appareil sur un support inflammable et ne jamais les lais-
ser sans surveillance.
- Protéger le chargeur de l’humidité.
- Observer les polarités de tous les branchements et les sorties. Lorsque les accus sont
mis en place avec une polarité inversée, le fusible saute.
- Éviter les courts-circuits.
- Ne jamais exposer l’appareil au rayonnement direct du Soleil. Ne pas couvrir l’appareil
lorsqu’il est en service.
- Ne pas mettre en charge des accus particulièrement chauds. Avant de les charger, lais-
ser refroidir les accus à température ambiante.
- N’utiliser que des accus propres à une charge rapide et parfaitement homogènes.
- N’utiliser que des éléments de capacité égale et de même fabrication assemblés en
accus.
- Ne pas raccorder deux accus en parallèle pour les charger.
- Le chargeur n’est conçu que pour la charge d’accu effectivement rechargeables.
- Ajuster les courants de charge les plus élevés aux connecteur et cordon solidaires des
accus.
- Ne pas raccorder entre elles les entrées et les sorties.

Mise en service
- Raccorder les pinces crocodile à une batterie au plomb de 12 volts ou à bloc d’alimen-
tation secteur approprié ; veiller absolument à respecter les polarités (rouge = plus / noir
= moins) - cf. également le paragraphe « Bloc d’alimentation secteur ».
- Sur l’écran apparaît la mention « 0000 » les LED sont éteintes.
- Raccorder le cordon de charge en respectant les polarité (rouge = plus / noir = moins)
aux douilles de sortie.
Le chargeur dispose des fonctions charge, décharge, décharge avant charge et décharge
cyclique avant charge. Marche à suivre pour activer l’une de ces fonctions.
- Sélectionner le type d’accu à l’aide du curseur CDNI/NIMH.
- Raccorder l’accu au cordon de charge. Veiller absolument à respecter les polarités ! Un
bip retentit et la LED verte SLOW-CHARGING clignote pour indiquer que la charge de
maintien est activée.
- Régler le courant de charge au niveau du potentiomètre de sélection du courant
de charge. Observer impérativement que les accus de 4 ou 5 éléments ne peuvent

maximal d’accus de 4 ou 5 éléments NiMH 1C ne doit pas être dépassée, par
exemple 1,0 A avec un capacité d’accu de 1000 mAh.
Charge
Actionner brièvement la touche MODE. Un bip court retentit pour valider la sélection, la LED
rouge FAST-CHARGING s’allume. La charge de l’accu commence avec le courant pro-
grammé. L’écran présente la capacité chargée. La procédure de charge est achevée lors-
que l’accu est complètement chargé par le dispositif Delta-Peak de commutation en fin de
charge.
Décharge
Maintenir la touche MODE enfoncée pendant deux secondes environ.. Deux bips courts
retentissent pour valider la sélection, la LED jaune DISCHARGING s’allume. L’accu est
déchargé avec environ 1 A(dépend de la tension). L’écran présente la capacité déchargée.
La procédure de décharge est interrompue lorsque la tension par élément est de 0,8 volt.
Décharge avant charge
Actionner deux fois brièvement la touche MODE. Deux bips courts retentissent valider la
sélection. Une décharge est engagée avant une charge. L’écran présente, en fonction de
la procédure en cours, la capacité déchargée puis la capacité chargée.
L’état en cours est indiqué par la LED DISCHARGING puis par la LED CHARGING.
Décharge avant charge cyclique
Après avoir homogénéisé les éléments, pour rafraîchir les accus appliquer un cycle de 3 à
5 décharges avant charges.
Actionner deux fois la touche MODE et maintenir la pression pendant deux secondes lors
de la deuxième pression. Quatre bips courts retentissent. Un cycle infini de décharges
avant charges est engagé. L’écran présente, en fonction de la procédure en cours, la capa-
cité déchargée puis la capacité chargée.
Les fonctions sont achevées soit automatiquement soit en actionnant la touche MODE ce
qui est validé par deux bips longs.
En cas de commutation automatique en fin de charge, toutes les dix secondes retentit un
bip.
Dans tous les cas, après la commutation, le chargeur se trouve en état de charge de main-
tien, la LED verte est allumée et l’écran mémorise présente la capacité chargée ou déchar-
gée au moment de l’arrêt. Cette valeur de capacité est effacée lorsqu’on raccorde un nou-
vel accu ou en commutation de charge sur décharge ou inversement.
Origine possible des anomalies
- La LED SLOW CHARGING clignote, la touche MODE ne réagit pas ; l’accu est raccor-
dé avec les polarités inversées ou présence d’un court-circuit à la sortie de charge.
- La LED SLOW CHARGING ne clignote pas. Rupture du cordon vers l’accu ou fusible
défectueux.

Généralités concernant la charge et la décharge d’accus
Il faut en règle générale observer formellement les recommandations du fabricant de l’ac-
cu, particulièrement en ce qui concerne les courants de charge maximaux.
Pour s’assurer que le dispositif de commutation automatique Delta-Peak en fin de charge
fonctionne correctement, il ne faut mettre en charge rapide des accus dont les éléments
sont parfaitement homogènes, c’est-à-dire que les accus neufs ou qui n’ont pas été utilisés
depuis un certain temps doivent être déchargés à intervalles réguliers ou être formés avec
de petits chargeurs assurant une charge de type C/10. Pour ce faire, branchez ces accus
sur l’appareil sans en actionner la touche MODE.
Une décharge complète de temps en temps a aussi un effet contre l’effet de mémoire des
accus.
Remarques
- Le clignotement de la LED FAT-CHARGING indique que la commutation automatique
est activée.
- Lors de la charge d’accus de 7 éléments, il peut se produire que le courant de charge
chute vers la fin de la charge.
- La fin de la charge ou de la décharge ne doit jamais intervenir en retirant l’accu du char-
geur. La stopper à l’aide de la touche MODE.
Bloc d’alimentation secteur
- La mise en place du bloc d’alimentation secteur Power Peak 7A, réf. 8415 permet
également d’utiliser le chargeur avec le réseau 230 volts ce qui en fait un chargeur uni-
versel aussi bien adapté au secteur 230 volts CA qu’au courant continu 12 volts.

Introduzione
Il POWER PEAK PLUS 1 è un caricabatteria progettato la corretta ricarica e scarica rapi-
da nonché manutenzione delle batterie NICD e/o NIMH. Può analizzare, caricare e scari-

Il fine carica è gestito dal sistema a lettura di picco “Delta Peak “.
Il dispositivo è concepito per essere utilizzato con alimentazione a 12Vcc di una normale
batteria al piombo oppure di un alimentatore stabilizzato con tensione d’uscita compresa tra
12 e 13,6 V.
Norme di Sicurezza
- Se il caricabatteria rimane inutilizzato per un periodo prolungato è consigliabile scon-
netterlo dall’alimentazione di ingresso e scollegare ogni batteria collegata in uscita per
un’eventuale ricarica.
- Assicurarsi di mantenere le feritoie di aerazione pulite e senza impedimento alcuno al
fine di assicurare una corretta circolazione d’aria per il raffreddamento.
- Non utilizzare il caricabatteria appoggiato ad una superficie infiammabile e non lasciare
mai l’apparecchio incostudito durante il processo di carica-scarica.
- Proteggere l’apparecchio da eventuali urti
- Prestare attenzione a non invertire le polarità d’ingresso od uscita.
- Evitare corti circuiti
- Non lasciare il caricabatteria al sole ed evitare di coprirlo durante l’uso
- Non caricare batterie già calde: lasciarle raffreddare fino alla temperatura ambiente
prima di ricaricarle
- Utilizzare solo pacchi a carica rapida precedentemente “bilanciati” con una carica-sca-
rica lenta.
- I pacchi devono essere formati da celle uguali tra loro: non mescolare celle di capacità
e marche diverse.
- Non collegare due pacchi in parallelo per la ricarica
- Il POWER PEAK 1 PLUS è progettato solamente per batterie ricaricabili.
- Selezionare correnti di carica comprese nei valori massimi suggeriti dal costruttore e
proporzionati al cavo e connettore della batteria utilizzata.
- Mai collegare un altro caricabatteria all’uscita.

Uso del caricabatteria
- Connettere I coccodrilli d’ingresso alla batteria 12 V oppure ad un appropriato alimen-
tatore stabilizzato prestando particolare attenzione alla polarità.
- Lo schermo a cristalli liquidi LCD mostrerà la scritta “0000” e il diodo LED di carica
rimarrà spento.
- Collegare I cavi di ricarica alle boccole d’uscita del caricabatteria rispettando anche in
questo caso le polarità. (Rosso = positivo. Nero = negativo)
Il caricabatteria offre le seguenti opzioni: CARICA (CHARGE), SCARICA (DISCHARGE),
SCARICA PRIMA di CARICARE e ciclo (DISCHARGE BEFORE). Per attivare l’opzione
desiderata seguire i passaggi successivi.
- Selezionare il tipo di batteria da caricare utilizzando il selettore NICD / NIMH.
- Collegare il pacco batterie al cavo di ricarica, avendo cura di rispettare le polarità. Il
POWER PEAK 1 Plus emetterà un “beep” e il LED VERDE DI CARICA LENTA inizierà
a lampeggiare indicando appunto l’inizio della carica lenta di mantenimento.
- Fissare la corrente di carica ruotando l’apposita manopola. Si noti che pacchi di
4-5 celle devono essere caricati con correnti non superiori a 1.5 A. Si noti anche
che la corrente massima di carica per pacchi NIMH di 4-5 celle non deve supera-
re la capacità di batteria 1C, ad esempio 1.0 A per una batteria di 1000 mAh di
capacità.

Carica
Premere il tasto “MODE” brevemente una volta. Si udirà un “beep” a conferma e il LED
ROSSO di CARICA RAPIDA si accenderà. La batteria è ora in carica con il valore di cor-
rente impostato e lo schermo LCD mostra la quantità di carica immagazzinata espressa in
mA. La carica sarà interrotta al raggiungimento del picco massimo con lettura dello stesso
a pacco completamente carico.
Scarica
Tenere premuto il tasto “MODE” per due secondi circa. Due brevi “beep” confermeranno
l’inizio della scarica e il DIODO LED GIALLO di SCARICArisulterà acceso. La batteria verrà
scaricata con una corrente di 1 A circa (dipende dalla tensione batteria) e lo schermo LCD
visualizzerà la capacità di scarica. Il processo di scarica viene interrotto al raggiungimento
di una tensione minima di 0,8 V per elemento.
Scarica prima della Carica
Premere il tasto MODE brevemente per due volte. Tre brevi “beep” segnaleranno l’inizio del
processo di scarica-carica. Lo schermo LCD visualizzarà il valore di “capacità di scarica o
carica” in ragione del processo in corso (scarica o carica). Il LED di SCARICA o il LED di
CARICA indicheranno se il POWER PEAK sta scaricando o caricando.
Ciclo di Scarica- Carica
La funzione ciclo può essere utilizzata per “ripristinare” ed eseguire la manutenzione di
vecchie batterie dopo che avere eseguito il loro “bilanciamento”.
Si raccomanda di eseguire al massimo 5 cicli.
Premere il tasto MODE per due volte e mantenerlo premuto per due secondi. Quattro brevi
“beep” segnaleranno l’inizio di una serie infinita di cicli di scarica-carica. Lo schermo visua-
lizzarà la capacità di carica o scarica in ragione del tipo di processo in atto. Entrambi le fun-
zioni (carica o scarica) possono concludersi automaticamente o manualmente premendo il
tasto MODE. In questo caso due lunghi beep confermeranno l’interruzione del processo.
Se il caricabatteria terminerà il processo automaticamente un segnale acustico, emesso
ogni dieci secondi, né segnalerà la fine. In ogni caso il caricabatteria commuterà in carica
di mantenimento (DIODO LED VERDE LAMPEGGIANTE) a fine carica e lo schermo most-
rerà la quantità di corrente immagazzinata o la capacità di scarica ottenuto alla fine della
scarica. Questo dato verrà rimarrà memorizzato e sarà cancellato solo collegando un
nuovo pacco oppure commutando da CARICA a SCARICA o viceversa.
Ricerca guasti
- Il LED DI CARICA lampeggia e il caricabatteria non risponde al tasto MODE: la batteria
è collegata con polarità invertita oppure esiste un corto circuito in uscita.
- LED CARICA LENTA non lampeggia: interruzione del cavo di collegamento della batte-
ria oppure il fusibile è bruciato.

Informazioni generali sulla carica e scarica delle batterie
Come regola generale assicuratevi di osservare le raccomandazioni del costruttore delle
batterie in vostro possesso e che vi accingete a ricaricare prestando particolare attenzio-
ne alla corrente massima di carica.
Per essere sicuri che il sistema a lettura di picco funzioni correttamente si raccomanda di
caricare con carica rapida solo pacchi bilanciati. Questo significa che ogni nuovo pacco o
pacchi rimasti inattivi per un lungo periodo dovrebbero essere scaricati ad intervalli regola-
ri e ricaricati con carica lenta con corrente pari a 1/10 della capacità nominale prima di
essere sottoposti alla carica rapida. Per ottenere ciò collegate la batteria al caricabatteria e
premete il tasto MODE.
Una scarica completa, da ripetersi di tanto in tanto, aiuterà anche a prevenire ed elimina-
re il tipico EFFETTO MEMORIA delle batterie NICD.
Alcune note
- Se il DIODO LED di CARICA RAPIDA lampeggia significa che il circuito automatico di
fine carica è attivo.
- Durante la ricarica di un pacco di 7 celle è possibile rilevare un abbassamento della
corrente di carica verso la fine del processo.
- Non interrompere la carica o scarica di un pacco scollegando il pacco stesso. Per inter-
rompere la carica premere sempre il pulsante MODE.
Alimentazione d’ingresso
- Se si sta utilizzando l’alimentatore POWER PEAK 7A, codice N.8415, il caricabatteria
può essere alimentato dalla normale rete di 220 –230 Vca trasformando così il POWER
PEAK 1 Plus in un caricabatteria universale 12 Vcc e 220 Vca.
