1.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Vorsicht:
Verletzungsgefahr!
Für die Montage sind Werkzeuge nötig.
Stromschlaggefahr!
Die Anschlussdrähte niemals in eine Steckdo-
se einführen! Verwendetes Versorgungsgerät
(Transformator, Netzteil) regelmäßig auf Schäden
überprüfen. Bei Schäden am Versorgungsgerät
dieses keinesfalls benutzen!
Alle Anschluss- und Montagearbeiten nur bei
abgeschalteter Betriebsspannung durchführen!
Ausschließlich nach VDE/EN gefertigte Modell-
bahntransformatoren verwenden!
Stromquellen unbedingt so absichern, dass es
bei einem Kurzschluss nicht zum Kabelbrand
kommen kann.
1.2 Das Produkt richtig verwenden
Dieses Produkt ist bestimmt:
- Zum Einbau in Modelleisenbahnanlagen und
Dioramen.
- Zum Anschluss an einen Modellbahntransformator
(z. B. Art. 5200) bzw. an eine Modellbahnsteue-
rung mit zugelassener Betriebsspannung.
- Zum Betrieb in trockenen Räumen.
Jeder darüber hinausgehende Gebrauch gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Für daraus resultierende
Schäden haftet der Hersteller nicht.
1.3 Packungsinhalt überprüfen
Kontrollieren Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollstän-
digkeit:
- Brandflackern
- 2 gelbe Glühlampen mit Anschlusskabeln
- Rote Glühlampe mit Anschlusskabel
- 2 Schrauben
- 10 Stecker

1. Important information

before using the product for the first time. Keep this

1.1 Safety instructions
Caution:
Risk of injury!
Tools are required for installation.
Electrical hazard!
Never put the connecting wires into a power
socket! Regularly examine the transformer for
damage. In case of any damage, do not use the
transformer.
Make sure that the power supply is switched
off when you mount the device and connect the
cables!
Only use VDE/EN tested special model train
transformers for the power supply!
The power sources must be protected to avoid
the risk of burning cables.
1.2 Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
- For installation in model train layouts and dioramas.
- For connection to an authorized model train
transformer (e. g. item 5200) or a digital com-
mand station.
- For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not
approved and is considered inappropriate. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any damage
resulting from the improper use of this product.

2. Einleitung
Das Brandflackern Art. 5021 von Viessmann bietet
einen noch nie da gewesenen realistischen Effekt
eines lodernden Feuers. Bis zu sieben rot und gelb
leuchtende Miniaturglühlampen flackern jeweils in
unterschiedlichem Rhythmus, sodass dem Betrach-
ter der täuschend echte Eindruck von brennendem
Feuer suggeriert wird. Noch realistischer wird das
Brandflackern durch eine stets brennende rote
Glühlampe. Die Flackerintensität kann stufenlos
dem persönlichen Geschmack und dem Anwen-
dungsfall entsprechend eingestellt werden. Folgen-
de Einsatzorte bieten sich an:
- brennende Häuser (z. B. die Bausätze von Voll-
mer oder Pola)
- Lagerfeuer (im Wald, am See usw.)
- Öfen (Schmelzöfen in Industrieanlagen oder
sogar für den Backofen im weihnachtlichen
Hexenhaus
Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind zwei gelbe und eine
rote Glühlampe. Ein Nachrüsten auf bis zu sieben
flackernde Lampen ist durch die Artikel 3501 (gelb),
3502 (rot) und 3503 (klar) möglich.
2. Introduction
The blaze flickering item 5021 from Viessmann of-
fers an unprecedented realistic effect of a blazing
fire. Up to seven red and yellow miniature lamps
are flickering in different rhythms, suggesting to the
observer a strikingly real impression of burning fire.
The electronic fire becomes even more realistic by
a constantly burning red lamp. The flickering inten-
sity is infinitely variable and can be adjusted to your
own taste and to the requirements of the applica-
tion. Below you will find some typical applications:
- burning houses (e. g.: Kits from Vollmer or Pola)
- camp fires (in the forrest, at the lake)
- stoves, furnaces or an oven in the Christmas
witch house)
The delivery contains two yellow and one red min-
iature lamps. You can upgrade the kit to a total of 7
flickering lights with items 3501 (yellow), 3502 (red)
and 3503 (clear).

3. Anschluss
Der richtige Anschluss des Brandflackerns Art.
5021 ist in Abb. 1 dargestellt. Die Stromversorgung
erfolgt mit Hilfe von Steckern über die beiden obe-
ren Anschlüsse des Moduls (braun und gelb). Die
Glühlampen werden ebenfalls mit Hilfe der beilie-
genden Stecker mit dem Modul verbunden. Hierbei
erhält jeweils ein Draht jeder angeschlossenen
Lampe einen grünen Stecker und wird am Modul
an den mit schwarzen Ringen gekennzeichneten
Buchsen befestigt. Die zweiten Kabel der Lampen
werden alle miteinander verbunden und gemein-
sam mit einem braunen Stecker in die mit einem
schwarzen Punkt markierte Buchse des Moduls
eingesteckt.
4. Einbau
Die Befestigung des Bausteins erfolgt mit den bei-
liegenden Schrauben.

3. Connection
The correct connection of the blaze flickering item
5021 is shown in fig. 1. The unit is powered by
Viessmann plugs to the upper two sockets connec-
tors of the module (brown and yellow). One cable
of each lamp has to be connected to the module
with green Viessmann plugs. The other cable has
to be connected to the left socket of the module
(marked with a black point). Here you can use the
brown plug.
4. Mounting
Fasten the item 5021 with the enclosed screws.
