YOUR BREITLING CHRONOMETER

A chronometer is a high-precision time-keeping

instrument that has successfully passed the entire

battery of tests imposed by the COSC (Swiss Ocial

Chronometer Testing Institute), a neutral and

independent body which individually tests each

movement according to the speciﬁcations in force.

STEP 1

Check whether the crown should be unscrewed

(counterclockwise) before you carry out the following

steps.

STEP 2

Wind the watch with approximately 40 clockwise turns

of the crown.

STEP 3

If the watch has no date aperture, pull the crown out to

position 2. Set the hour and minute.

If the watch does have a date aperture, proceed

as follows: pull the crown out to position 2. Turn it

clockwise to adjust it to the day before the activation

date. Pull the crown out to position 3. Move the hands

forwards until the correct date appears at midnight.

Set the hour and minute hands.

STEP 4

Push the crown back into position 1. If you had to

unscrew the crown in step 1, follow this ﬁnal step:

press the crown gently, turning it clockwise, then

tighten it again until you feel some resistance.

VOTRE CHRONOMÈTRE BREITLING

Un chronomètre est un instrument horaire de haute

précision qui a passé avec succès toutes les épreuves

imposées par le COSC (Contrôle ociel suisse des

chronomètres), organisme neutre et indépendant qui

teste individuellement chaque mouvement selon la norme

en vigueur.

ÉTAPE 1

Si nécessaire, dévisser la couronne dans le sens

anti-horaire pour permettre le bon déroulement des

prochaines étapes.

ÉTAPE 2

Remonter la montre en eectuant environ 40 rotations de

couronne dans le sens horaire.

ÉTAPE 3

Si la montre n’est pas équipée d’un guichet de date, tirer

la couronne en position 2. Ajuster les aiguilles des heures

et des minutes.

Si la montre est équipée d’un guichet de date, procéder

comme suit: tirer la couronne en position 2. Tourner la

couronne dans le sens horaire pour ajuster la date au jour

précédent. Tirer la couronne en position 3. Tourner les

aiguilles en avant jusqu’à faire apparaître la date exacte

qui s'actualise à minuit. Ajuster les aiguilles des heures

et des minutes.

ÉTAPE 4

Repousser la couronne en position 1. Si la couronne a

été dévissée à la première étape, procéder de la manière

suivante: la revisser en appuyant légèrement sur la

couronne, puis en la tournant dans le sens horaire jusqu’à

sentir une légère résistance. Ne pas forcer !

Um cronómetro é um aparelho horário de alta precisão

que foi aprovado com sucesso no conjunto de testes

Se o relógio tiver janela da data, proceda da seguinte

forma: puxe a coroa para a posição 2. Rode a coroa no

sentido dos ponteiros do relógio para ajustá-la para

o dia prévio à data de ativação. Puxe a coroa para a

posição 3. Mova os ponteiros para a frente até surgir

a data correta à meia-noite. Deﬁna os ponteiros das

horas e dos minutos.

PASSO 4

Empurre novamente a coroa para a posição 1. Se tiver

sido obrigado a desenroscar a coroa no passo 1, siga

este último passo: pressione suavemente a coroa,

rodando-a no sentido dos ponteiros do relógio, e depois

volte a enroscá-la até sentir alguma resistência. Não

exerça demasiada força!

IHR BREITLING CHRONOMETER

Ein Chronometer ist ein hochpräzises Instrument zur

Zeitmessung, das sämtliche von der COSC (Ozielle

Schweizer Chronometerkontrolle) vorgeschriebenen Tests

erfolgreich bestanden hat. Die COSC ist eine neutrale und

unabhängige Einrichtung, die jedes einzelne Uhrwerk nach

den jeweils geltenden Vorgaben prüft.

SCHRITT 1

Prüfen Sie, ob die Krone (durch Drehen gegen den

Uhrzeigersinn) gelöst werden muss, bevor Sie fortfahren.

SCHRITT 2

Ziehen Sie die Uhr durch etwa 40 Umdrehungen der Krone

im Uhrzeigersinn auf.

SCHRITT 3

Wenn die Uhr kein Datumsfenster hat, ziehen Sie die

Krone auf Position 2 heraus. Stellen Sie Stunden- und

Minutenzeiger auf die korrekte Zeit ein.

Wenn die Uhr ein Datumsfenster hat, gehen Sie wie folgt

vor: Ziehen Sie die Krone auf Position 2 heraus. Drehen

Sie sie im Uhrzeigersinn und stellen Sie das Datum des

Tages vor der Inbetriebnahme ein. Ziehen Sie die Krone auf

Position 3 heraus. Bewegen Sie die Zeiger vorwärts, bis das

korrekte Datum erscheint. Die Zeiger zeigen Mitternacht

an. Stellen Sie Stunden- und Minutenzeiger auf die korrekte

Zeit ein.

SCHRITT 4

Drücken Sie die Krone wieder in Position 1. Sofern Sie

unter Schritt 1 die Krone lösen mussten, gehen Sie wie

folgt vor: Drehen Sie die Krone unter leichtem Druck im

Uhrzeigersinn und verschrauben Sie sie nur so lange, bis

IL TUO CRONOMETRO BREITLING

Il cronometro è uno strumento di misurazione del tempo

ad alta precisione che ha superato l'intera batteria di

test imposti dal COSC (Swiss Ocial Chronometer Testing

Institute), un ente neutrale e indipendente che testa ogni

singolo movimento secondo le speciﬁche in vigore.

PASSO 1

Controllare se la corona deve essere svitata (in senso

antiorario) prima di eseguire le seguenti operazioni.

PASSO 2

Caricare l’orologio eseguendo circa 40 giri della corona

in senso orario.

PASSO 3

Se l'orologio non ha la ﬁnestrella della data, estrarre la

corona in posizione 2. Impostare l'ora e i minuti.

Se l'orologio ha la ﬁnestrella della data, procedere come

segue: estrarre la corona in posizione 2. Ruotarla in senso

orario per regolare la data sul giorno precedente la data di

attivazione. Estrarre la corona in posizione 3. Spostare le

lancette in avanti ﬁno a quando, a mezzanotte, appare la

data corretta. Impostare le lancette delle ore e dei minuti.

PASSO 4

Spingere la corona in posizione 1. Se si è dovuto svitare la

corona al punto 1, seguire quest'ultimo passo: premere

delicatamente la corona, ruotandola in senso orario,

quindi stringerla di nuovo ﬁno ad avvertire una certa

resistenza. Non forzarla!

Un cronómetro es un instrumento de medición del tiempo

de alta precisión que ha superado con éxito la batería

completa de pruebas establecida por el COSC (Control

y neutral que prueba uno a uno los movimientos conforme

a las especiﬁcaciones vigentes.

PASO 1

Comprobar si es necesario desatornillar la corona (en el

sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj) antes de realizar

los próximos pasos.

PASO 2

Dar cuerda al reloj mediante unos 40 giros de la corona en

el sentido de las agujas del reloj.

PASO 3

Si el reloj no tiene ventanilla de fecha, sacar la corona

hasta la posición 2. Ajustar la hora y los minutos.

Si el reloj tiene ventanilla de fecha, seguir estos pasos:

sacar la corona hasta la posición 2. Hacerla girar en el

sentido de las agujas del reloj al día anterior a la fecha

de activación. Sacar la corona hasta la posición 3. Hacer

avanzar las agujas hasta que aparezca la fecha correcta

a medianoche. Ajustar las agujas de las horas

y los minutos.

PASO 4

Volver a colocar la corona en la posición 1. Si en el paso

1 se ha desatornillado la corona, ahora es necesario

presionarla con suavidad, mientras la giramos en el

sentido de las agujas del reloj. Luego, ajustarla otra vez

hasta notar algo de resistencia. ¡No hay que forzarla!

天文台表是通过瑞士官方天文台认证中心（COSC）测

试，并成功地得到认证的精密计时器。该中心为独立

且中立的机构，负责根据现行规定的标准分别测试每

个机芯的功能。

步骤 1

在执行以下步骤之前，请先检查表冠是否需要旋开（逆

如果您的腕表不具备日期显示功能，将表冠拉出至位

如果您的腕表具备日期显示功能，请依照以下步骤操

日期调整为激活日期的前一天。将表冠拉出至位置 3。

向前转动指针直至通过午夜时显示正确的日期。设置

时针与分针。

步骤 4

将表冠推回至位置 1。如果您在第 1 步骤时必须旋开

表冠，请遵循这最后一步操作：顺时针方向轻轻压转

上紧，直至感觉到一定阻力。切勿强行旋扭！

VOTRE CHRONOMÈTRE BREITLING

Un chronomètre est un instrument horaire de haute précision qui a passé avec succès

toutes les épreuves imposées par le COSC (Contrôle Oﬃ ciel Suisse des Chronomètres),

organisme neutre et indépendant qui teste individuellement chaque mouvement selon

la prescription en vigueur.

L’épreuve de certiﬁ cation pour les chronomètres-bracelets à oscillateur à balancier-spiral,

en vertu de la norme ISO 3159, consiste à observer chaque mouvement durant 15 jours et

15 nuits, dans 5 positions et à 3 températures diﬀ érentes (8°C, 23°C, 38°C). Pour obtenir

le titre de chronomètre, les performances d’un mouvement doivent répondre à 7 critères

très stricts, dont un écart de marche quotidien limité à -4/+6 secondes.

Le terme de « chronomètre » ne doit pas être confondu avec celui de « chronographe »,

qui est une montre compliquée dotée d’un mécanisme additionnel permettant de mesurer

la durée d’un événement. Un chronographe n’est pas forcément certiﬁ é chronomètre,

mais tous les chronographes Breitling portent le titre très convoité de chronomètre.

MISE EN SERVICE

REMONTAGE  MISE À L’HEURE

1. Dévisser la couronne étanche dans le sens anti-horaire.

Remonter la montre en eﬀ ectuant environ 40 rotations de

couronne dans le sens horaire.

2. Tirer la couronne en position 2, la tourner dans le sens horaire

pour ajuster le calendrier sur le jour précédant la date de la

mise en service.

3. Tirer la couronne en position 3 et faire tourner les heures en

avant de manière à faire apparaître la date exacte qui saute à

minuit. Ajuster ensuite l’heure et la minute.

4. Repousser la couronne en position 1. Appuyer légèrement

sur celle-ci, en la tournant doucement dans le sens horaire, et

revisser jusqu’à ressentir une résistance. Ne pas forcer !

UTILISATION DU CHRONOGRAPHE

MESURE D’UN TEMPS COURT UNIQUE

Votre chronographe est équipé de poussoirs de sécurité qui assurent

une étanchéité accrue et fournissent une protection eﬃ cace contre

les chocs. Par conséquent, les poussoirs ne peuvent être actionnés

qu’après avoir dévissé la bague de retenue.

MPORTANT

il est recommandé de garder les poussoirs vissés lorsque

le chronographe n’est pas utilisé.

1. Appuyer sur le poussoir A pour enclencher le chronographe.

L’aiguille 3 permet de suivre la mesure en secondes.

2. Arrêter la mesure en appuyant à nouveau sur le poussoir A.

La mesure s’eﬀ ectue en heures (compteur 1), minutes (compteur

2), en secondes et 1/4 de seconde (aiguille 3).

3. Remettre le chronographe à zéro en appuyant sur le poussoir B.

MESURE D’UN TEMPS COURT AVEC INTERRUPTION

1. Appuyer sur le poussoir A pour enclencher le chronographe.

L’aiguille 3 permet de suivre la mesure en secondes.

2. Pour interrompre la mesure, appuyer à nouveau sur le poussoir A.

Pour reprendre la mesure du temps, appuyer sur le poussoir A.

Il est ainsi possible de cumuler plusieurs temps courts.

3. La remise à zéro s’eﬀ ectue en appuyant sur le poussoir B, une fois

la mesure ﬁ nale arrêtée.

PARTICULARITÉS

UTILISATION DU TACHYMÈTRE

Le tachymètre est une graduation sur le cadran ou le réhaut de votre chronographe Breitling

qui permet de déterminer des vitesses moyennes ou une production horaire, sur la base

d’un temps d’observation inférieur à 60 secondes.

1. Vitesse moyenne

Mesurer au moyen du chronographe le temps nécessaire pour parcourir un kilomètre ou

un miles. L’endroit où l’aiguille des secondes s’arrête indique la vitesse moyenne. S’il faut

20 secondes pour parcourir 1km ou 1miles, l’echelle indique respectivement une vitesse

moyenne de 180km/h ou 180miles/h.

2. Production horaire

Votre chronomètre Breitling est un instrument sophistiqué fonctionnant en permanence

et sous les contraintes les plus diverses. Dans un volume très restreint, une multitude de

composants contribuent à en assurer toutes les fonctions. Leur action mécanique engendre

une usure inéluctable, que l’entretien, par un renouvellement de la lubriﬁ cation ainsi que

par le remplacement des composants usagés, permet de maîtriser. Comme tout instrument

de mesure de précision, votre montre doit faire l’objet d’une maintenance régulière pour

fonctionner au mieux de son potentiel : la périodicité de cette opération varie en fonction de

l’utilisation. Breitling ou votre concessionnaire agréé prendront volontiers celle-ci en charge.

L’ÉTANCHÉITÉ

Le mouvement de votre chronomètre est protégé par un boîtier complexe muni de joints qui

assurent son étanchéité. Sous l’inﬂ uence de divers agents extérieurs – transpiration, eau

chlorée ou salée, cosmétiques, parfums ou poussière, ces joints se dégradent. Pour cette

raison, l’étanchéité ne peut pas être garantie de manière permanente. En cas d’utilisation

intensive en milieu aquatique, il est recommandé de procéder chaque année à un contrôle

de l’étanchéité. Dans tous les cas, cette vériﬁ cation s’eﬀ ectuera tous les deux ans. Cette

opération, qui ne prend que quelques minutes, peut être eﬀ ectuée par un centre oﬃ ciel

de service après-vente Breitling ou par un concessionnaire agréé (www.breitling.com).

Les modèles Breitling sont étanches à diﬀ érents degrés. Le niveau d’étanchéité, exprimé en

mètres, est une norme qui n’indique pas une profondeur absolue d’immersion. La couronne

et les poussoirs ne doivent en aucun cas être actionnés sous l’eau ou lorsque la montre

est mouillée. Le tableau ci-dessous indique les conditions dans lesquelles votre montre

YOUR BREITLING CHRONOMETER

A chronometer is a high-precision instrument that has successfully passed the entire

battery of tests imposed by COSC (Swiss Oﬃ cial Chronometer Testing Institute), a neutral

and independent body which individually tests each movement according to the pre-

scriptions in force.

The certiﬁ cation test for wristwatches with sprung balance oscillators, according to

standard ISO 3159, consists of observing each movement for 15 days and 15 nights, in 5

positions and at 3 diﬀ erent temperatures (8°C, 23°C, 38°C). In order to earn the prestigious

chronometer label, a movement's performances must meet 7 very strict criteria, including

a daily variation in rate ranging between only -4/+6 seconds.

The term "chronometer" should not be confused with that of "chronograph", which is a

complicated watch ﬁ tted with an additional mechanism for measurement of the dura-

tion of an event. A chronograph is not necessarily chronometer-certiﬁ ed, but all Breitling

chronographs bear the much-coveted title of "chronometer".

PREPARATION FOR USE

WINDING  TIMESETTING

1. Unscrew the water-resistant crown counter-clockwise.

Wind the watch by approximately 40 clockwise turns of the

crown.

2. Pull the crown out to position 2, turn it clockwise to adjust the

calendar to the day prior to the activation date.

3. Pull the crown out to position 3. Turn the hands forward until the

correct date jumps into place, at midnight. Then adjust the hour

and minute.

4. Push the crown back into position 1. Press it gently, turning it

gently clockwise, then tighten it again until you feel some resis-

tance.

Do not force!

USING THE CHRONOGRAPH

MEASURING A SINGLE SHORT TIME

Your chronograph is equipped with safety pushpieces, which ensure

enhanced water-resistance and provide eﬀ ective protection against

shocks. Consequently, the pushpieces can only be operated after

unscrewing the retaining ring.

NB : it is recommended to keep the pushpieces screwed in when the

chronograph is not in use.

1. Press pushpiece A to start the chronograph. Hand 3 keeps track

of the measured time in seconds.

2. Stop the measurement by pressing pushpiece A once more. The

measurement is made in hours (totalizer1), minutes (totalizer

2), seconds and 1/4 of a second (hand3).

3. Reset the chronograph to zero by pressing pushpiece B.

II.

MEASURING AN INTERRUPTED SHORT TIME

1. Press pushpiece A to start the chronograph. Hand3 shows the

measurement in seconds.

2. To interrupt the measurement, press pushpieceA once more.

To restart the time measurement, press pushpieceA. This

procedure makes it possible to add up several short times.

3. The chronograph is reset to zero by pressing pushpieceB,

once the ﬁ nal measurement has been stopped.

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS

USING THE TACHOMETER

The tachometer is the graduation on the dial or flange of your Breitling chronograph

enabling you to determine average speeds or hourly productivity rate, based on an

observation period of less than 60 seconds.

1. Average speed

Using the chronograph to measure the time required to cover akilometer or a mile. The final

position of the second hand indicates the average speed. If it takes 20 seconds to cover

1 km or 1 mile, the scale respectively indicates an average speed of 180 km/h or 180 miles/h.

2. Hourly productivity rate

Measuring the time required to produce 1 unit. If the chronograph is stopped at 40 seconds,

the tachometric scale indicates 90, corresponding to an hourly productivity rate of 90 units.

Your Breitling chronometer is equipped with a scale dividing the hour into hundredths, thus

making it easier to read oﬀ the minutes on a decimal base.

E.g.: 0.6h = 36 minutes

SUN COMPASS

Your Breitling chronometer may be used as a sun compass, thus enabling you to determine

North and South. For regions that have instated daylight saving time, subtract one hour

when aligning the watch.

In the Northern Hemisphere

Point the hour hand precisely towards the sun. In relation to the

watch dial, the point located midway between the current time and

12 o'clock indicates South, North being exactly opposite.

In the Southern Hemisphere

Point the hour-marker located at 12 o'clock on the dial precisely

towards the sun. In relation to the watch dial, the point located

midway between the current time and 12 o'clock indicates North,

South being exactly opposite.

MAINTENANCE

Your Breitling chronometer is a sophisticated instrument which is constantly subjected

to a wide variety of stresses and strains. Within a very small volume, a large number of

components contribute to handling all the functions. Their mechanical action inevitably

leads to a certain amount of wear and tear, which may be controlled by maintenance con-

sisting of relubrication and replacing worn components. Like any precision measurement

instrument, your watch must be regularly maintained in order to function at its highest

level of potential: the frequency of this operation varies according to actual use. Breitling

or your authorized retailer will be happy to handle the procedure.

WATER RESISTANCE

The movement of your chronometer is protected by a complex case ﬁ tted with gaskets to

ensure its water resistance. Under the inﬂ uence of various external agents - perspiration,

chlorinated or salt water, cosmetics, fragrances or dust - these gaskets gradually deterio-

rate. That is why water resistance cannot be permanently guaranteed. If used intensively

in water, we recommend having an annual water resistance check conducted. In any

event, such an appraisal must be done every two years. This operation, which takes only

a few minutes, may be conducted by a Breitling authorized maintenance centre, or by an

authorized retailer (www.breitling.com).

Breitling models are water-resistant to varying degrees. The extent of the water resistance,

expressed in metres (M), is a standard value and does not indicate an absolute immersion

depth. The crown and pushpieces must not under any circumstances be operated under

water or when the watch is wet. The table below indicates the conditions in which your

watch may reasonably be used, according to its degree of water resistance:

If your watch is equipped with a screw-lock crown, ensure that this is locked before any

use in water. This also applies to screw-lock pushpieces.

USEFUL TIPS

Breitling genuine leather straps are crafted with the most reﬁ ned materials and represent

extremely high-quality products. Like all objects in natural skin (shoes, gloves, etc.), their

length of life varies considerably, according to the conditions in which they are worn. ln

particular, water, cosmetics and perspiration accelerate the ageing process. A metal or

synthetic Breitling bracelet is thus better suited to activities involving frequent contact

with water or moisture.

Breitling metal cases and bracelets are made from the ﬁ nest alloys and guarantee stur-

diness and wearer comfort. Regular cleaning by rinsing and brushing in clean water will

keep your watch shiny. This operation is strongly recommended after each immersion in

salty or chlorinated water. For watches ﬁ tted with a leather strap, the same advice applies,

as well as avoiding getting the strap wet.

WHAT TO AVOID

Like any valuable objects, Breitling chronometers deserve special care. It is important to

protect them from jarring and knocks by hard objects, and not to expose them to chemical

products, solvents, dangerous gases, or magnetic ﬁ elds. Moreover, your Breitling chronom-

eter is designed to run smoothly at temperatures ranging between 0°C and 50°C.

IHR BREITLING-CHRONOMETER

Ein Chronometer ist ein hochpräzises Zeitmessinstrument, das sämtliche vom COSC (Oﬃ zi-

elle Schweizerische Chronometerkontrolle) vorgeschriebenen Tests erfolgreich bestanden

hat. Diese neutrale und unabhängige Organisation prüft jedes einzelne Uhrwerk nach den

geltenden Bestimmungen.

Bei der Zertiﬁ zierung nach der ISO-Norm 3159 wird jedes Uhrwerk eines Armbandchrono-

meters mit Unruh-Spiralfeder-Oszillator während 15 Tagen und Nächten in fünf Positionen

und bei drei verschiedenen Temperaturen (8, 23 und 38 °C) geprüft. Für die Anerkennung

als Chronometer müssen die Werkleistungen sieben strenge Kriterien erfüllen, einschließ-

lich der maximal zugelassenen Gangabweichung zwischen -4 und +6 Sekunden pro Tag.

Chronometer sind nicht mit Chronografen zu verwechseln. Bei Letzterem handelt es sich

um eine komplexe Uhr, deren Zusatzmechanismus die Dauer von Zeitabschnitten misst.

Ein Chronograf ist also nicht unbedingt ein Chronometer, bei Breitling jedoch tragen alle

Chronografen die begehrte Bezeichnung Chronometer.

INBETRIEBNAHME

AUFZIEHEN  ZEITEINSTELLUNG

1. Die wasserdicht verschraubte Krone im Gegenuhrzeigersinn

lösen. Die Krone ca. 40-mal im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, um die

Uhr aufzuziehen.

2. Die Krone in Position 2 ziehen und sie im Uhrzeigersinn drehen,

bis das Datum des Tages vor der Inbetriebnahme erscheint.

3. Die Krone in Position 3 ziehen. Die Zeiger vorwärtsbewegen bis

zum Datumswechsel um Mitternacht. Danach die Zeiger auf die

gewünschte Zeit stellen.

4. Die Krone wieder in Position 1 zurückstossen. Während des

Drehens im Uhrzeigersinn einen leichten Druck auf die Krone

ausüben und sie bis zum spürbaren Widerstand verschrauben.

BEDIENUNG DES CHRONOGRAFEN

EINFACHE KURZZEITMESSUNG

Ihr Chronograf ist mit Sicherheitsdrückern ausgerüstet, die erhöhte

Wasserdichtheit und eﬃ zienten Schutz gegen Stöße gewähr-

leisten. Deshalb können die Drücker erst nach Aufschrauben des

Schutzrings betätigt werden.

WICHTIG :

Wird die Chronograf-Funktion nicht benutzt, die Drücker

verschrauben.

1. Drücker A betätigen, um den Chronografen in Gang zu setzen.

Zeiger 3 ermöglicht das Ablesen der abgelaufenen Sekunden.

2. Zum Stoppen der Messung erneut Drücker A betätigen. Die Mes-

sung erfolgt in Stunden (Zähler 1), Minuten (Zähler 2), Sekunden

und 1/4-Sekunden (Zeiger 3).

3. Zum Rückstellen des Chronografen auf null DrückerB betätigen.

KURZZEITMESSUNG MIT UNTERBRECHUNG

1. Drücker A betätigen, um den Chronografen in Gang zu setzen. Zeiger

3 ermöglicht das Ablesen der abgelaufenen Sekunden.

BESONDERHEITEN

BENUTZUNG DES TACHYMETERS

Der Tachymeter ist auf dem Zifferblatt oder auf dem Höhenring Ihres Breitling

Chronografen in Grade unterteilt. Mit ihm können Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeiten oder

eine Stundenleistung auf der Basis von einer Beobachtungszeit von unter 60 Sekunden

gemessen werden.

1. Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit

Um eine Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit zu messen, mit dem Chronografen den Zeitaufwand

für einen Kilometer oder eine Meile stoppen. Der gestoppte Sekundenzeiger zeigt die

Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit an. Braucht man z. B. 20 Sekunden, um einen Kilometer

oder eine Meile zurückzulegen, zeigt die Skala eine Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von

180 km/h bzw. 180 mph an.

2. Stundenleistung

Die notwendige Zeit messen, um eine Einheit zu leisten. Stoppt der Chronograf 40 Sekunden,

zeigt die Tachymeterskala 90 an, was einer Stundenleistung von 90 entspricht.
