Electrical Supply Requirements

Have an electrician install a 1/2 in. (13 mm) conduit box with quad or equal

receptacle. Top of box must be no higher than 4-1/2 in. (114 mm) above

finished surface of floor.

Water Supply Requirements (optional)

Use 1/2 in. (13 mm) pipe (supplied by contractor) protruding 2 in. (51 mm)

above finished surface of floor. Manual shut-off valve is to be installed by a

plumber.

Water pressure must be 30-50 PSI (206-344 kPa) maximum, at the shut-off

valve. Flush water plumbing clean before making final connections to dental

equipment.

Recommended water supply hardness level <60 ppm of calcium carbonate.

Air Supply Requirements

Use 1/2 in. (13 mm) pipe (supplied by contractor) protruding 2 in. (51 mm) from

finished surface of floor. Manual shut-off valve is to be installed by a plumber.

Air pressure must be 70-100 PSI (482 -689 kPa) maximum, at the shut-off valve.

Flush air plumbing clean before making final connections to dental equipment.

Air supply to be filtered, dry and oil-free per NFPA 99 requirements or equivalent

local codes.

Drain Requirements (optional)

Not less than 1-1/2 in. (38 mm) I.D. pipe from downpipe to trap, decreasing to

3/4 in. (19 mm) pipe from trap to connection box. Terminate with

3/4 in. (19 mm) NPT pipe protruding 1 in. (26 mm) above finished surface of

floor. Install adapter for 5/8 in. (16 mm) drain tubing. Place trap in line and vent

to conform with local codes. [All hardware supplied by contractor].

Vacuum Requirements (optional)

Plumbing to J-Box box should be specified by central vacuum supplier and

terminated in J-Box with 3/4 in. (19 mm) O.D. tube protruding 1 in. (26 mm)

above finished surface of floor.

Equipment Alert

When installing 115~ (VAC) receptacle in the J-Box, position it so that all

the other components needed in the box will also fit.

Grounding reliability can only be achieved if this equipment is connected to an

equivalent receptacle marked Hospital Grade (NEMA 5-15R, HOSPITAL GRADE).

Attention!

The electrical and plumbing supply connectors must be installed by an electrician and plumber in compliance with local building codes. All required hardware is to be supplied by

contractor. Supply connections must be located to fit inside the J-box and be properly distanced, within reach of the chair umbilical [4 or 8 foot (1.2 or 2.4 m)].

Step 1: Verify Proper Position and Types of Supply Connections Required for the J-Box.

A) Verify that you have the proper supply connections required for the components being installed.

B) Verify that the connections fit inside the J-box and are located within reach of the umbilical provided (4 or 8 foot [1.2 or 2.4 m]).

Step 5: Remove seat shrouds and seat frame.

A) Remove three screws / washers and RH seat shroud.

B) Repeat for LH seat shroud (not shown).

C) Remove two shoulder bolts / washers and lift seat frame.

Tap a lift arm or lower pivot cover three times to raise

the chair to the pre-programmed “home” position; a

convenient height for installation or patient access.

The chair beeps until it reaches the home position.

Step 3: Position chair.

Step 4: Remove seat upholstery.

A) Disconnect the chair from power source.

B) Rotate lock knob.

C) Lift seat upholstery to remove tabs from slots.

WARNING

Always disconnect chair from the power source before removing

any covers. Failure to do so may result in personal injury.

Step 6: Level LR casting.

A) Loosen four mounting bolts.

B) Adjust three leveling screws as necessary.

C) Tighten four mounting bolts.

Note: If LR casting is not level, delivery arm may drift.

C) Install water bottle (turn until tight) and cover.

D) Adjust the drag on the delivery arm by loosening or

Step 9: Route delivery umbilical into chair.

A) Route umbilical into opening and thru LR casting.

B) Route umbilical up thru hole in chair casting.

Note: Optional Sopro camera harness and switch wires need to be

routed thru the chair to the J-box, following the same route as

the chair umbilical.

Step 10: Connect delivery umbilical to J-box umbilical.

A) Connect two LIN lines to LIN coupler.

B) Connect USB connectors to USB hub and place inside chair casting.

C) Connect delivery power harnesses.

D) Screw ground wires onto the chair casting using toothed-lock washer.

E) Connect like colored tubing.

F) Optional Sopro camera harnesses must be routed thru the chair to the

J-box following the same path as the chair umbilical.

Note: Umbilicals contain tubing for all possible components. Leave unused tubing capped.

Step 12: Standard Power Supply Connections.

A) Add T-fitting and connect red tubing to power supply.

B) Install the appropriate receptacle onto the USB power adapter

and connect the USB, USB power and the other end of the

adapter to the USB Hub.

C) Connect delivery power to power supply.

D) Connect chair power to power supply.

E) Connect LIN line to power supply.

F) Install optional components (Steps 13 - 19) as required OR

proceed to Step 20.

A) Remove screw from arm assembly.

B) Insert arm assembly into the pivot and rotate forward.

C) Install the screw thru pivot hole into arm assembly to secure.

D) Install three left and three right arm assemblies.

E) Install left and right tool pads onto the front of unit.

F) Route tubing thru wheels and align handpiece connectors

with tool pads as shown below.

Step 14: Install Tray Mount on Arm.

A) Align tray mount assembly onto arm post.

B) Install set screw and tighten to secure tray mount

to arm post.

C) Adjust drag on tray rotation with set screw.

A) Place a level on the flat surface of the tray mount.

B) Alternately turn the three leveling screws while

watching level.

For Units Having Deluxe Rheostat with Chip Air Foot Controls Only:

Make Chip Air Connection in Delivery Head.

A) Cut green 1/8" Coolant Air Supply tubing.

B) Locate brown 1/8” tubing coming into the unit head.

C) Use barbed tee and sleeves to tee the 1/8" brown tubing into the 1/8" green coolant air tubing.

Step 18: Install seat upholstery.

A) Insert seat upholstery tabs into slots.

B) Lay upholstery flat. (Lock knob must align with hole)

C) Rotate lock knob to secure upholstery.

Step 17: Install seat shrouds and seat frame.

A) Position seat frame, then secure with two pivot screws / washers.

B) Position RH seat shroud, then secure with three screws / washers.

C) Repeat for LH seat shroud (not shown).

Installation Checklist

Test Verify the following:



1 LR casting and ex arm are level and secure.

2 Flex arm and delivery unit rotate easily and stay where placed.

3 All covers are in place on all components and chair.

4 All tubing is securely connected or capped if not used.

5

Water and air supply regulator gauges in J-box read appropriate

pressures.

6

Electrical connectors and couplers are tightly connected, grounded and

protected inside chair casting.

7

All electrical devices are properly connected to the power supply.

Power supply is properly connected to facility power.

8 Delivery unit comes ON when master switch is turned ON.

9 Control screens appear as handpieces are pulled from the delivery unit.

10 Control screens respond as expected when buttons are pressed.

11 Pressing footpedal delivers air/waster to handpieces as expected.

12 Wipe all components with a soft dry cloth to remove dirt and smudges.

Step 19: Connect power and verify operation.

A) Connect the power supply to facility power.

B) Arrange components neatly inside J-Box.

C) Connect power supply and optional power adapters into

facility power.

D) Install J-box lid.

E) Verify operation of the delivery.

Steckdose von einem Elektriker installieren lassen. Die Oberkante des

Kastens darf nicht höher liegen als 114 mm (4-1/2 in.) über der Oberfläche

des Fußbodens.

Anforderungen an die Wasserversorgung (optional)

51 mm (2 in.) ab Oberkante Fußboden. Installation eines manuellen

Gerätewarnung

Die Folie oder die Verpackung erst dann vom Schwenkarm des Dentalsystems entfernen, wenn dieser am LR-Arm montiert ist.

Anforderungen an die Luftversorgung

13-mm (1/2-in.)-Rohr (lieferantenseitige Bereitstellung), Austritt: 51 mm (2 in.) ab

Oberkante Fußboden. Installation eines manuellen Absperrventils durch einen

Installateur.

Der Wasserdruck darf am Absperrventil bis (maximal) 482-689 kPa (70 bis

100 PSI) betragen. Luftleitungen vor dem endgültigen Anschluss an die Dental-

Instrumente durch Spülen säubern.

Gefilterte Luftzufuhr, trocken und ölfrei gemäß Anforderungen nach NFPA 99 oder

entsprechenden örtlichen Vorschriften.

Anforderungen an Ablass (optional)

Rohr mit nicht weniger als 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) Innendurchmesser von Fallrohr

zu Siphon. Verschmälerung auf 19 mm (3/4 in.) zwischen Siphon und

Anschlusskasten. Abschluss mit NPT-Rohr (19 mm [3/4 in.]), das 26 mm (1 in.)

ab Oberkante Fußboden austritt. Installation eines Adapters für Ablassleitung

(16 mm [5/8 in.]). Einen Siphon in die Leitung einpassen und die Leitung

entlüften, gemäß lokalen Vorschriften. (Sämtliche Befestigungsteile werden vom

Lieferanten bereitgestellt.)

Anforderungen an Vakuum (optional)

Anschluss am Verteilerkasten gemäß zentralem Vakuumanbieter.

Abschluss im Verteilerkasten durch einen Schlauch mit einem

Außendurchmesser von 19 mm (3/4 in.), der 26 mm (1 in.) über Oberkante

Fußboden austritt.

Gerätewarnung

Bei der Installation einer Steckdose mit 115~ (V AC) im Verteilerkasten darauf

achten, dass genügend Platz für die anderen nötigen Komponenten bleibt.

Eine zuverlässige Erdung ist nur dann gewährleistet, wenn das Gerät an eine

Steckdose angeschlossen ist, die für den Einsatz in einer medizinischen

Umgebung (NEMA 5-15R, HOSPITAL GRADE) geeignet ist.

Achtung!

Die Anschlüsse für die Elektrik und die Leitungen müssen von einem Elektriker und einem Installateur gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften installiert werden. Die erforderlichen Befesti-

gungsteile werden vom Lieferanten bereitgestellt. Der Verteilerkasten muss in Reichweite der Versorgungsleitungen installiert werden (1,2 oder 2,4 m [4 oder 8 foot]).

B) Sicherstellen, dass die Verbindungsstücke im Verteilerkasten in Reichweite der Versorgungsleitungen liegen (1,2 oder 2,4 m [4 oder 8 foot]).

Schritt 2: Ordnungsgemäße Installation des Elevance

Patientenstuhls prüfen.

Patientenstuhl beiliegenden Montageanleitung.

Schritt 5: Sitzverkleidungen und Sitzrahmen entfernen.

A) Drei Schrauben/Unterlegscheiben und die rechte Sitzverkleidung

entfernen.

B) Dies für die linke Sitzverkleidung (nicht abgebildet) wiederholen.

C) Zwei Schaftschrauben/Unterlegscheiben entfernen und den

Sitzrahmen anheben.

Gerätewarnung

Dreimal auf eine der Hebearm- oder unteren Dreh-

gelenkabdeckungen klopfen, um den Stuhl in die

vorprogrammierte Ausgangsposition zu bringen. Diese

Position eignet sich für die Installation und für den

Patienteneinstieg.

Der Stuhl gibt Signaltöne aus, bis er die Ausgangsposition erreicht hat.

Schritt 3: Stuhl positionieren.

Schritt 4: Sitzpolster abnehmen.

A) Den Stuhl von der Stromversorgung trennen.

B) Den Verriegelungsknopf drehen.

C) Die Sitzpolsterung anheben, um die Laschen

aus den Schlitzen zu lösen.

ACHTUNG!

Vor dem Entfernen der Abdeckungen stets die Stromzufuhr zum

Stuhl abschalten. Bei Nichtbefolgung kann es zu Verletzungen kommen.

Schritt 6: LR-Gussteil ausrichten.

A) Die vier Befestigungsschrauben lösen.

B) Die drei Nivellierschrauben nach Bedarf einstellen.

C) Die vier Befestigungsschrauben anziehen.

Hinweis: Wenn das LR-Gussteil nicht ausgerichtet ist, kann sich der

Schwenkarm von selbst bewegen.

Schritt 7: LR-Schwenkarm installieren.

A) Den LR-Schwenkarm/die Lager/die Kappe wie abgebildet positionieren.

B) Das LR-Gussteil mit einer Schraube sichern.

C) Die Wasserflasche und die Abdeckung (fest eindrehen) installieren.

D) Den Widerstand am Schwenkarm durch Lockern oder Anziehen

der Schraube einstellen.

Schritt 9: Versorgungsleitungen des

Dentalsystems zum Stuhl hin verlegen.

A) Versorgungsleitungen durch die Öffnung und das LR-

Gussteil verlegen.

B) Die Versorgungsleitungen nach oben durch die Öffnung

im Stuhl-Gussteil verlegen.

Hinweis: Kabelstrang für optionale Sopro-Kamera und Schalterkabel

müssen entlang den Versorgungsleitungen des Stuhls durch

den Stuhl in den Verteilerkasten laufen.

A) Schwenkarm horizontal zum Boden positionieren.

B) Eine Wasserwaage auf das System legen und

C) Den Widerstand mithilfe der Einstellschrauben

Schritt 10: Versorgungsleitungen des Dentalsystems an die

Versorgungsleitungen im Verteilerkasten anschließen.

A) LIN-Leitungen an die LIN-Kupplung anschließen.

B) USB-Stecker an den USB-Hub anschließen und diesen in das Stuhl-

Gussteil schieben.

C) Den Kabelstrang für die Stromversorgung des Dentalsystems anschließen.

D) Die Massekabel unter Verwendung einer Zahnscheibe am Stuhl-Gussteil

festschrauben.

E) Die gleichfarbigen Schläuche verbinden.

F) Kabelstränge für optionale Sopro-Kamera müssen entlang den Versor-

gungsleitungen des Stuhls durch den Stuhl in den Verteilerkasten laufen.

Hinweis: Versorgungsleitungen enthalten Schläuche für alle Komponenten, die möglich sind.

Die Kappen auf den nicht verwendeten Schläuchen belassen.
