NOTE:
For the units with R32 or R290 refrigerant , only the blast-proof ceramic fuse can be used.
WARNINGS FOR PRODUCT INSTALLATION
1. Installation must be performed by an authorized dealer or specialist. Defective installation can cause
water leakage, electrical shock, or re.
2. Installation must be performed according to the installation instructions. Improper installation can
cause water leakage, electrical shock, or re.
(In North America,installation must be performed in accordance with the requirement of NEC and
CEC by authorized personnel only.)
3. Contact an authorized service technician for repair or maintenance of this unit. This appliance shall
be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.
4. Only use the included accessories, parts, and specied parts for installation. Using non-standard
parts can cause water leakage, electrical shock, re, and can cause the unit to fail.
5. Install the unit in a rm location that can support the unit’s weight. If the chosen location cannot
support the unit’s weight, or the installation is not done properly, the unit may drop and cause
serious injury and damage.
6. Install drainage piping according to the instructions in this manual. Improper drainage may cause
water damage to your home and property.
7. For units that have an auxiliary electric heater,
do not
install the unit within 1 meter (3 feet) of any
combustible materials.
8.
Do not
install the unit in a location that may be exposed to combustible gas leaks. If combustible
gas accumulates around the unit, it may cause re.
9. Do not turn on the power until all work has been completed.
10. When moving or relocating the air conditioner, consult experienced service technicians for
disconnection and reinstallation of the unit.
11. How to install the appliance to its support, please read the information for details in “indoor unit
installation” and “outdoor unit installation” sections .
12. The outdoor unit shall be installed in an open space that is always ventilated.
13. The local gas regulations shall be observed.
14. To handle, purge, and dispose the refrigerant, or break into the refrigerant circuit, the worker should
have a certicate from an industry-accredited authority.
15. Do not install the indoor unit in the following areas:
16. Area lled with minerals, splashed oil, or steam. It will deteriorate plastic parts, causing failure or
leakage.
17. Area that is close to heat sources.
18. Area that produces substances such as sulfuric gas, chlorine gas, acid, and alkali. It may cause
corrosion of the pipings and brazed joints.
19. Area that can cause leakage of combustible gas and suspension of carbon bers, ammable dust,
or volatile ammables.
20. Area where refrigerant leaks and settles.
21. Area where animals may urinate on the product. Ammonia may be generated.
22. Do not use the indoor unit for preservation of food items, plants, equipment, and art works. This may
cause deterioration of their quality.
23. Do not install the indoor unit if it has any drainage problem.
24. Because your air conditioner contains R-32 refrigerant, make sure that it is installed, operated, and
stored it in a room whose oor area is larger than the minimum required oor area specied in the
following table:
