2. SICHERHEITSANWEISUNGEN

• Die Zubehörteile des Geräts werden bei der Benutzung

sehr heiß, bringen Sie sie deshalb nicht mit der Haut in

Berührung kommen. Versichern Sie sich, dass das

Stromkabel nicht mit den heißen Teilen des Geräts in

Kontakt gerät.

• In folgenden Situationen ist das Gerät auszuschalten (Stecker

aus der Dose ziehen):

- Vor jeder Reinigung oder Wartung

- Im Falle einer Betriebsstörung

- Sobald Ihre Frisur fertig ist

- Wenn Sie (auch für nur kurze Zeit) weggehen.

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Spannung Ihrer

Elektroinstallation mit der Spannung Ihres Geräts übereinstimmt.

Fehlerhafte Anschlüsse können zu irreversiblen Schäden führen,

die nicht von der Garantie gedeckt sind.

• Für einen zusätzlichen Schutz wird empfohlen, im elektrischen

Kreis für die Stromversorgung des Badezimmers eine

Differenzstromeinrichtung mit einem Betriebsdifferenzstrom von

höchstens 30mA einzubauen. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren

Elektroinstallateur.

3. INBETRIEBNAHME

Ihr Gerät heizt sich sehr schnell auf (in nur 60 Sekunden)

und die Temperatur bleibt dann während der gesamten

Benutzungsdauer stabil:

- Stecken Sie das Gerät an

- Stellen Sie den An/Aus-

Schalter auf “1” (Abb. 1-C)

- Nach einer Wartezeit von

60 Sek. ist das Gerät

einsatzbereit (Abb. 2)

- Stellen Sie mittels des

Thermostaten die ideale

Temperatur für Ihr Haar

ein (Abb.1-D)

Stecken Sie das Gerät nach der Benutzung aus und lassen

Sie es gänzlich auskühlen, bevor Sie es aufräumen.

• Das Gerät nicht längere Zeit bei unter 0°C und über 40°C

(z.B. hinter einem Fenster in der prallen Sonne) aufbewahren.

• Das Gerät nicht längere Zeit der direkten

Sonnenbestrahlung aussetzen.

• Wichtig: Das Gerät darf nicht in Wasser getaucht oder

unter fließendes Wasser gehalten werden.

• Achtung : Verwenden Sie Ihr Gerät niemals mit nassen Händen

oder in der Nähe von mit Wasser gefüllten Badewannen,

Waschbecken oder anderen Behältern.

• In Ihrem Badezimmer kein Verlängerungskabel verwenden.

• Bei Verwendung das Gerät außerhalb der Reichweite von

Kindern halten; das Gerät kann sehr heiß werden.

• Wenn das Gerät an oder mit Kindern oder behinderten Personen

verwendet wird, ist eine aufmerksame Beaufsichtigung erforderlich.

• Achten Sie beim Einbau des Zubehörs darauf, dass dieses gut in

seinem Sitz einrastet, damit es perfekt befestigt ist.

• Wenn das Netzanschlusskabel beschädigt ist, muss es zur

4. GEBRAUCH

Das Haar muss durchgekämmt, sauber und trocken

(oder leicht angefeuchtet) sein.

• Dieses Gerät darf nicht auf Kunsthaar (Perücken,

Haarteile…) eingesetzt werden.

• Teilen Sie eine kleine, ein paar Zentimeter breite Strähne

ab, kämmen Sie sie glatt und legen Sie sie zwischen die

Platten. Klemmen Sie die Strähne fest zwischen die Platten

und lassen Sie das Gerät langsam von der Haarwurzel in

Richtung Haarspitzen gleiten (Abb. 3)

• Bei sehr dickem oder sehr krausem Haar können die

Strähnen vor

dem Glätten mit Wasser besprüht werden.

• Der Keramiküberzug der Platten schützt das Haar durch

gleichmäßige Hitzeverteilung gegen zu

hohe Temperaturen.

• Lassen Sie das geglättete Haar

gut auskühlen, bevor Sie es in Form kämmen (Abb. 4).

DIE TIPPS DES FRISEURS

• Beginnen Sie stets mit den tief angesetzten Strähnen:

glätten Sie zuerst den Nackenbereich, dann den

Seitenbereich und zuletzt den vorderen Bereich.

• Führen Sie das Gerät in einer geschmeidigen,

ununterbrochenen Bewegung durch das Haar, um

Unregelmäßigkeiten und Längen zu vermeiden.

• Zur Verstärkung der Wirkung kann vor dem Glätten des

Haars Frisierschaum aufgetragen werden.

5. PFLEGE

ACHTUNG! Das Gerät vor der Reinigung

grundsätzlich ausstecken und abkühlen lassen.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht ins Wasser (Abb. 6).

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch und

reiben Sie es anschließend mit einem trocken Tuch trocken

(Abb. 7).

6. DENKEN SIE AN DEN SCHUTZ DER

UMWELT!

Ihr Gerät enthält wertvolle Rohstoffe, die wieder

verwertet werden können. Geben Sie Ihr Gerät

deshalb bitte bei einer Sammelstelle Ihrer Stadt

oder Gemeinde ab.

2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• The appliance’s accessories become very hot during use.

Avoid contact with the skin. Make sure that the supply cord

never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

• The appliance must be unplugged:

- before cleaning and maintenance procedures.

- if it is not working correctly

- as soon as you have finished using it

- if you leave the room, even momentarily.

• Check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage

of your appliance. Any error when connecting the appliance can

cause irreparable harm, not covered by the guarantee.

• As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of

a residual current difference device in the electrical circuit

supplying the bathroom, acting at not more than 30 mA.

Ask your installer for advice.

• Caution : Never use the appliance with wet hands or near baths,

basins or other recipients containing water.

• When using the appliance in the bathroom, unplug it after

use as the presence of water nearby may pose a danger even

when the appliance is turned off.

• Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used on

or in the presence of children or disabled people.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-

facturer, its after-sales service or a person with similar qualifica-

tions, to avoid all danger.

• Stop using your appliance and contact an Authorised Service Centre

if:

- your appliance has fallen

- it does not work correctly.

• If your appliance is not working correctly, see "Troubleshooting",

or contact our Customer Helpdesk or your dealer.

GUARANTEE

Your appliance is designed for use in the home only. It should not

be used for professional purposes. The guarantee becomes null

and void in the case of improper usage.

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS - FOR U.K. ONLY.SAFETY NOTES

FOR REWIREABLE OR MOULDED PLUG

The mains lead of this appliance may be already fitted with a BS 1363 13 A plug.

Should the fuse need to be replaced, a 13 A ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse must be used.

If your socket outlet is not suitable for the plug, then the plug must be removed (cut off if it is

a moulded on plug) and an appropriate one fitted. Warning : dispose of a plug that has been

cut from the power supply cord, as such a plug is hazardous if inserted in a live 13 A socket

outlet elsewhere in the house.

Always replace the fuse cover after fitting a fuse. The plug must NOT be used if the cover

is omitted or lost until a replacement is obtained

- make certain that only the correct fuse cover is used and fitted.

For plugs with a detachable fuse cover the replacement must be the same as the colour insert

in the base of the plug, or as directly by the embossed wording on the base of the plug.

If the detachable fuse cover is lost, a replacement may be purchased from an approved

Rowenta Service Centre (see enclosed Service Information leaflet). Information for supply

may also be obtained from the plug manufacturer.

U.K ONLY - FITTING A PLUG

Important : the wires in this lead are coloured in accor-

dance with the following codes Blue, Neutral, Brown,

live. Please read the instructions given below before

connecting the cord to a plug. If in doubt, please consult

a qualified electrician.

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of

this appliance may not correspond with the coloured

markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed

as follows :

• the wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with

the letter " N " or coloured BLACK.

• the wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with

the letter " L " or coloured RED.

Neither core is to be connected to the earth terminal of a three-pin plug.

This appliance requires a 13 fuse ASTA approved to BS 1362.

3. GETTING STARTED

Your appliance heats up very quickly (only 60 seconds),

and the temperature remains constant throughout use:

- Plug in the appliance

- Set the on/off switch to “1” (Fig.1-C)

- Wait 60 sec.; the appliance is ready for use (Fig. 2)

- Select the ideal temperature

for your hair using the

Thermostat (Fig.1-D)

- After use, unplug the

appliance and let it cool down

completely before storing it

away.

4. OPERATION

Use this product on clean, untangled, dry (or slightly

damp) hair.

• Do not use the straighteners on synthetic hair (wigs, exten-

sions, etc.).

• Take a small section of hair, a few centimetres in width,

comb it and place it between the plates. Grip the hair firmly

between the plates and slowly slide the appliance from the

roots to the tips of the hair (Fig. 3)

• If your hair is very thick or frizzy, you can improve the result

by spraying your hair with water before straightening.

• The ceramic plates protect your hair from excessive heat,

thanks to an even distribution of the heat.

• Wait until your straightened hair has cooled down before sty-

ling (fig. 4).

5. CLEANING

CAUTION! Always unplug your straighteners and let them

cool down before cleaning them.

• Never submerge the straighteners in water (fig. 6).

• To clean the straighteners, unplug them, let them cool

down then wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a dry

cloth (fig. 7).

6. ENVIRONNEMENT PROTECTION

FIRST!

Your appliance contains valuable materials which

can be recovered or recycled. Leave it at a collec-

tion point.

PROFESSIONAL TIPS

• Always start with the layers of hair underneath: first

those at the nape, working around to the sides then

the front.

• To avoid kinks in long sections of hair, use a fluid,

continuous movement.

• To enhance the effect, you can apply styling mousse

before straightening.

2. CONSEILS DE SECURITE

• Les accessoires de l'appareil deviennent très chauds

pendant l'utilisation. Evitez le contact avec la peau.

Assurez-vous que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit jamais

en contact avec les parties chaudes de l'appareil.

• L'appareil doit être débranché : avant le nettoyage et l'en-

tretien, en cas d'anomalie de fonctionnement, dès que

vous avez terminé de l'utiliser, si vous vous absentez,

même quelques instants.

• Vérifiez que la tension de votre installation électrique

correspond à celle de votre appareil. Toute erreur

de branchement peut causer des dommages irréversibles

non couverts par la garantie.

• Pour assurer une protection supplémentaire, il est préconisé

d'installer, dans le circuit électrique alimentant la salle de

bains, un dispositif à courant différentiel résiduel (DDR) de

courant différentiel de fonctionnement assigné n'excédant

pas 30 mA. Demandez conseil à votre installateur.

• N'utilisez jamais votre appareil avec les mains

mouillées ou à proximité de l'eau contenue dans

des baignoires, lavabos ou autres récipients...

• Lorsque l'appareil est utilisé dans une salle

de bains, débranchez-le après usage car la proximité

de l'eau peut présenter un danger même lorsqu'il est

arrêté.

• Une surveillance étroite est nécessaire lorsque l'appareil

est utilisé sur ou en la présence d'enfants ou de personnes

invalides.

• Si le câble d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être

remplacé par le fabricant, son service après-vente ou une

personne de qualification similaire, afin d'éviter un danger.

• N'utilisez pas votre appareil et contactez un Centre

Service Agréé si : votre appareil est tombé, s'il ne

fonctionne pas normalement.

• Pour tout défaut de fonctionnement, reportez-vous

au paragraphe "en cas de problème" ou contactez notre

service consommateur ou votre revendeur.

GARANTIE :

Votre appareil est destiné à un usage domestique seulement.

Il ne peut être utilisé à des fins professionnelles.

La garantie devient nulle et invalide en cas d'utilisation

incorrecte.

3. MISE EN SERVICE

Votre appareil monte en température très rapidement

(seulement 60 secondes), celle-ci restant stable tout

au long de l’utilisation :

- Branchez l’appareil

- Placez l’interrupteur marche/arrêt sur «1 » (Fig.1-C)

- Attendez 60 sec., l’appareil est

prêt à l’emploi (Fig. 2)

- Sélectionnez la température

idéale pour vos cheveux à

l’aide du Thermostat (Fig.1-D)

- Après utilisation, débranchez

l’appareil et laissez-le refroidir

complètement avant de le

ranger.

4. UTILISATION

Les cheveux doivent être démêlés, propres et secs

(ou légèrement humidifiés).

• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil sur des cheveux synthétiques

(perruques, rajouts...)

• Formez une petite mèche de quelques centimètres de lar-

geur, peignez-là et placez-la entre les plaques. Serrez fer-

mement les cheveux entre les plaques et faites glisser l’ap-

pareil lentement, de la racine à la pointe des cheveux (Fig.

• Si vos cheveux sont très épais ou frisés, vous pouvez

optimiser le résultat en vaporisant d’eau les mèches avant

le lissage.

• Le revêtement céramique des plaques protège vos che-

veux contre les excès de température, grâce à une réparti-

tion uniforme de la chaleur.

• Attendre que les cheveux lissés soient refroidis avant de

les coiffer (Fig. 4).

ASTUCES DU COIFFEUR

• Toujours commencer par lisser les mèches

du dessous : travaillez d’abord la nuque,

puis les côtés et terminer par le devant.

• Pour éviter des stries sur les longueurs, travaillez

d'un mouvement souple et continu.

• Pour accentuer l'effet, vous pouvez appliquer

une mousse coiffante avant de lisser.

5. ENTRETIEN

ATTENTION ! : toujours débrancher l'appareil et

le laisser refroidir avant de le nettoyer.

• Ne plongez jamais votre appareil dans l'eau (Fig. 6).

• Pour nettoyer l'appareil : débranchez-le, passez

un chiffon humide et séchez avec un chiffon sec (fig.7).

6. PARTICIPONS À LA PROTECTION DE

2. VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN

• Tijdens het gebruik worden de accessoires van het apparaat

zeer heet. Contact met de huid voorkomen.

Zorg dat het aansluitsnoer nimmer in contact komt met de

hete delen van het apparaat.

• Het apparaat moet uitgeschakeld zijn:

- voor het schoonmaken en het onderhoud.

- in geval van een functiestoornis

- zodra u met het gebruik klaar bent

- indien u het apparaat zonder toezicht laat, zelfs voor een korte

periode.

• Controleer of de netspanning van uw elektrische installatie

overeenkomt met die van uw apparaat. Elke verkeerde aanslui-

ting kan onomkeerbare schade veroorzaken, die niet door de

garantie wordt gedekt.

• Om een extra bescherming te waarborgen, wordt het aangera-

den om het elektrisch circuit van de stroomtoevoer naar de

badkamer te voorzien van een installatie voor verschilstroom

(DDR) , van toegekende aanspreekstroom die niet 30mA over-

schrijdt. Vraag advies aan uw installateur.

• Laat uw apparaat niet gedurende een lange tijd beneden 0 °C en

boven 40°C (bijvoorbeeld achter een raam, in de volle zon).

3. INGEBRUIKNAME

Uw apparaat wordt zeer snel warm (in slechts 60 seconden)

en deze temperatuur blijft constant gedurende het gehele

gebruik:

- Steek de stekker in het

stopcontact

- Zet de aan-/uitschakelaar

op «1» (Fig.1-C)

- Wacht 60 seconden,

het apparaat is klaar voor

gebruik (Fig.2)

- Selecteer de ideale tempera-

tuur voor uw haar met behulp

van de Thermostaat (Fig.1-D)

Haal na gebruik de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het

apparaat volledig afkoelen alvorens het op te bergen.

• Stel het apparaat niet lange tijd bloot aan directe zonnestra-

ling.

• Belangrijk: het apparaat moet niet ondergedompeld noch

onder water gehouden worden.

• Let op : Gebruik uw apparaat nooit wanneer u natte handen

hebt of in aanwezigheid van water in badkuipen, wasbakken of

andere recipiënten.

• Geen verlengsnoer in uw badkamer gebruiken.

• Bij gebruik, het apparaat buiten het bereik van kinderen

houden, de temperatuur van het apparaat kan erg warm wor-

den.

• Een nauwlettend toezicht is nodig wanneer het apparaat

gebruikt wordt op of in aanwezigheid van kinderen of gehandi-

capte personen.

• Zorg bij de montage van de accessoires, dat deze goed vastge-

maakt worden aan hun behuizing voor een perfecte sluiting.

• Als het elektriciteitssnoer beschadigd is, moet deze door de fabrikant

worden vervangen, zijn servicedienst of door een persoon met een

soortgelijke bekwaamheid, om gevaar te voorkomen.

• Gebruik uw apparaat niet en neem contact op met een

Goedgekeurd Servicecentrum indien:

- uw apparaat gevallen is

- indien deze niet normaal functioneert.

• Voor elke functiestoornis, raadpleeg dan de paragraaf “ in

probleemgevallen” of neem contact op met uw onze consu-

mentendienst of uw detailhandelaar.

GARANTIE

Uw apparaat is uitsluitend voor huishoudelijk gebruik bestemd.

Het kan niet voor beroepsmatige doeleinden worden

gebruikt.

De garantie zal zonder waarde en ongeldig worden bij ver-

keerd gebruik.

4. GEBRUIK

Het haar moet ontklit, schoon en droog

(of enigszins vochtig) zijn.

• Het apparaat niet voor synthetisch haar (pruiken,

haarstukjes, enz.) gebruiken

• Neem een lok van enkele centimeters breed, kam deze en

plaats hem tussen de platen. Klem het haar stevig vast

tussen de platen en laat het apparaat langzaam van de

wortel naar de haarpunt glijden (Fig. 3)

• Wanneer u zeer dik haar of krullen heeft, kunt u het resul-

taat optimaliseren door voor het gladstrijken wat water

over de lokken te verstuiven.

• De keramische bekleding van de platen beschermt uw

haar tegen te hoge temperaturen, dankzij de gelijkmatige

verdeling van de warmte.

• Wacht tot het gladgestreken haar afgekoeld is, alvorens

het te kammen (Fig. 4).

TIPS VAN DE KAPPER

• Begin bij het gladstrijken altijd met de onderste

lokken: begin bij de nek, vervolgens de zijkanten en

eindig met de voorzijde.

• Om strepen over de lengte te voorkomen, in een

soepele, doorgaande beweging werken.

• Om de werking te accentueren, kunt u voor het

gladstrijken haarschuim gebruiken.

5. ONDERHOUD

LET OP!: altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact halen en

het apparaat af laten koelen alvorens het schoon te

maken.

• Het apparaat nooit in water onderdompelen (Fig. 6).

• Voor het reinigen van het apparaat: haal de stekker uit

het stopcontact, neem het apparaat af met een vochtige

doek en droog het af met een droge doek (Fig. 7).

6. WEES VRIENDELIJK VOOR HET

MILIEU!

Uw apparaat bevat materialen die geschikt zijn

voor hergebruik. Lever het in bij het milieustation

in uw gemeente of bij onze technische dienst.

Assicuratevi che il cavo di alimentazione non entri mai in

contatto con le parti calde dell'apparecchio.

• Scollegare l’apparecchio prima di un eventuale intervento (cam-

bio accessori, riempimento del serbatoio, manutenzione, …) e

dopo utilizzazione.

• L’apparecchio deve essere scollegato :

- prima di procedere a pulizia e manutenzione.

- in caso d’anomalia di funzionamento

- immediatamente dopo l’utilizzo

- se si assenta, anche solo per qualche istante.

• Verificare che la tensione dell’installazione elettrica sia conforme

a quella dell’apparecchio. Qualsiasi errore di collegamento può

causare danni irreversibili, che non sono coperti dalla garanzia.

• Per assicurare una protezione supplementare, si raccomanda

d’installare, nel circuito elettrico che alimenta la stanza da bagno,

un dispositivo a corrente differenziale residua (DDR) di corrente

differenziale di funzionamento che non superi i 30 mA. Chiedere

consiglio al proprio installatore.

• Non lasciare l’apparecchio per un periodo prolungato a tempe-

rature inferiori a 0°C e superiori a 40°C (per esempio, dietro un

3. ATTIVAZIONE

L'apparecchio si scalda molto velocemente (solo 60 secondi)

e la temperatura resta costante durante l'utilizzo.

- Collegate la spina.

- Portate l'interruttore On/Off su "1" (Fig. 1-C).

- L'apparecchio è pronto all'uso

dopo solo 60 secondi (Fig. 2).

- Selezionate tramite il termostato

(Fig. 1-D) la temperatura adatta

al vostro tipo di capelli.

Dopo l'utilizzo, scollegate

l'apparecchio e lasciatelo

• Utilizzare l’apparecchio non a portata di mano dei bambini, la

temperatura dell’apparecchio può essere molto calda.

• Un costante controllo è necessario se l’apparecchio è utilizzato su

o in presenza di bambini o di persone portatrici di handicap.

• Al montaggio degli accessori, verificare di averli correttamente

inseriti e fissati nel vano relativo.

• Se il cavo d’alimentazione risulta danneggiato, deve essere

sostituito dal fabbricante, dal servizio post – vendita o da per-

sona debitamente qualificata, per evitare eventuali situazioni di

pericolo.

• Non utilizzare l’apparecchio e contattare un Centro Assistenza

Autorizzato se :

- l’apparecchio è caduto

- se non funziona normalmente.

• Per un eventuale difetto di funzionamento, fare riferimento al

paragrafo " in caso di problemi " o contattare il nostro servizio

consumatori o il venditore.

GARANZIA

L’apparecchio è destinato unicamente ad uso domestico.

Non può essere utilizzato a fini professionali.

La garanzia diventa nulla e non valida in caso di uso non cor-

retto.
