ATTENZIONE! Prima di usare questa mac-
china, leggete tutte le istruzioni di sicurezza e
le istruzioni d’uso fornite.
Prima di iniziare il lavoro prendete familiarità
con i comandi e con il corretto uso della
macchina assicurandovi di saperla arrestare
in caso di emergenza. L’uso improprio della
macchina può provocare gravi ferite.
Pensate sempre alla vostra e altrui sicurezza e
comportatevi di conseguenza. Conservate con
cura ed a portata di mano queste istruzioni.
ATTENZIONE! La macchina è idonea solo
per tagliare erba nei giardini e lungo i bordi
delle aiuole. Ogni altro impiego, diverso da
quello indicato in queste istruzioni, può recare
danno alla macchina e costituire serio pericolo
per l’utilizzatore.

NORME DI SICUREZZA GENERALI
I SACCHI DI PLASTICA NON SONO DEI GIOCATTOLI
ATTENZIONE! Pericolo di soffocamento.
I sacchi di plastica presenti nell’imballaggio
possono provocare soffocamento se infilati
sul capo e devono essere tenuti lontani dai
bambini; se non più riutilizzabili devono essere
tagliati e smaltiti nei rifiuti.
1) Questo apparecchio non può essere utilizza-
to da bambini o persone con ridotte capacità
fisiche, sensoriali o mentali, o con mancanza
di esperienza e conoscenza. I bambini non
devono giocare con l’apparecchio. La pulizia
e la manutenzione non deve essere svolta da
bambini.
2) Controllate sempre l’efficienza e l’integrità
della macchina; se in cattivo stato, la mac-
china può causare pericolo per chi la usa.
3) Prima di utilizzare la macchina e dopo
qualsiasi urto, controllate i segni di usura
e di danneggiamento visibili dall’ esterno.
Se necessario, portatela presso un centro
di assistenza autorizzato per effettuare le
necessarie riparazioni.
4) Non utilizzate la macchina se le protezioni
sono danneggiate o mancanti o il dispositivo
di taglio non è ben inserito, fissato o è dan-
neggiato. Verificate la loro efficienza prima di
avviare la macchina.
5) Prima di avviare la macchina, assicuratevi
che l’elemento di taglio non sia in contatto
con sassi, detriti o corpi estranei.
6) Operate sempre con abbigliamento adeguato
per evitare lesioni al viso e agli occhi, alle
mani, ai piedi al capo e all’udito: usate
occhiali o visiera di protezione, stivali alti e
pantaloni robusti, guanti da lavoro, elmetto
e cuffia antirumore.
7) Durante l’avviamento del motore e quando
la macchina è in moto, tenete l’elemento
di taglio lontano da ogni parte del corpo,
soprattutto mani e piedi.
8) Non avviate la macchina quando è capovolta
o non è in posizione di lavoro.

9) Spegnete il motore e staccate la macchina
dalla alimentazione elettrica quando: non
la usate, la lasciate incustodita, la pulite, la
trasportate da un posto all’altro, il cavo di
alimentazione o di prolunga è danneggiato,
togliete o cambiate il dispositivo di taglio o
registrate manualmente la lunghezza del filo
di taglio.
10)Non trasportate la macchina tenendola per
il cavo elettrico. Usate sempre l’impugnatura.
11)Tenete la macchina lontana da persone,
bambini, animali; interrompete l’uso quando
questi si trovano nelle vicinanze; in partico-
lare, mantenere una distanza di sicurezza
come indicato nel punto 9 della descrizione
marcature e simboli: l’erba tagliata e lanciata
può contenere sassi e detriti pericolosi.
12)Quando lavorate mantenete una posizione
stabile e sicura.
13)Tenete sempre l’area da tagliare libera da
fili, sassi e detriti.
14)Durante l’uso non tagliate contro oggetti
duri onde evitare il pericolo di lesioni a voi
e alla macchina.
15)Non utilizzate mai la macchina senza la
protezione (se fornita separata). Non uti-
lizzate mai la macchina se la protezione è
danneggiata.
ATTENZIONE! La protezione è essenziale per la
vostra ed altrui sicurezza e per il corretto fun-
zionamento della macchina. Il mancato rispetto
di tale norma, oltre a creare un potenziale
pericolo, fa decadere i termini della garanzia.
16)Fate attenzione alla lametta tagliafilo (dove
fornita), può causare tagli profondi.
17)Non tentate di fermare il dispositivo di taglio
(filo di taglio) con le mani. Lasciate sempre
che si fermi da solo.
ATTENZIONE! Dopo lo spegnimento della
macchina l’elemento di taglio ruota ancora
per alcuni secondi.
18)Non utilizzate filo di taglio diverso dall’o-
riginale. Non usate assolutamente del filo
metallico al posto di quello in plastica.
19)Non utilizzate la macchina per tagliare erba
che non sia a contatto con il terreno; ad
esempio non tagliate erba che si trova sui
muri o sui massi ecc.
20)Non avviate la macchina in luoghi chiusi
o poco ventilati ed in presenza di liquidi,
gas, polveri ed elementi infiammabili e/o
esplosivi.
21)Nell’area di lavoro l’operatore è respon-
sabile verso terzi di eventuali danni causati
dall’uso della macchina.
22)Lavorate solo durante le ore di buona lu-
minosità o con una illuminazione artificiale
corrispondente.
23) Assicuratevi sempre che le aperture di ven-
tilazione della macchina non siano ostruite
da residui.
24)Non attraversate strade o sentieri ghiaiosi
con la macchina in moto.
25)Quando non la usate, riponete la macchina
in un luogo asciutto e lontano dalla portata
dei bambini.
26)Dopo l’uso, scollegate la macchina dalla
presa di corrente e verificate che non vi siano
guasti. In caso di dubbi contattate un centro
assistenza autorizzato.
27)Utilizzate la macchina solo nei modi descritti
in queste istruzioni.
28)Verificate periodicamente il fissaggio delle
viti (ove presenti).
29)Usate solo ricambi e accessori forniti o
consigliati dal costruttore.
30) Non tentate di riparare la macchina o di
accedere agli organi interni. Rivolgetevi sem-
pre presso i centri di assistenza autorizzati.
31) Non distraetevi e controllate sempre quello
che state facendo. Usate il buon senso.
Non usate mai la macchina in condizioni di
stanchezza, malessere o sotto l’effetto di
alcool o altre droghe.
NORME DI SICUREZZA ELETTRICHE
1) La tensione di alimentazione deve corrispon-
dere a quella dichiarata sulla targhetta dati
tecnici. Non utilizzate altro tipo di alimenta-
zione.
2) È obbligatorio l’uso di un apparecchio sal-
vavita sulla linea di alimentazione elettrica
mediante un relé differenziale (RCD) con una
corrente di intervento di non più di 30 mA o
con valore secondo le normative vigenti nel
Paese di utilizzo; consultate il vostro elettrici-
sta di fiducia.
3) Non passate mai sopra il cavo di prolunga
con la macchina, con veicoli, potreste ta-
gliarlo. Siate coscienti della sua posizione
in ogni momento.
4) Usate lo specifico fermacavo per il collega-
mento di prolunga.

5) Non usate la macchina in caso di pioggia.
Evitate che venga bagnata od esposta ad
umidità. Non lasciatela all’aperto durante la
notte. Non tagliate erba umida o bagnata.
6) Impiegate soltanto cavo di prolunga omo-
logato per l’uso all’aperto. Tenetelo lontano
dalla zona di taglio, da superfici umide,
bagnate, oliate, con bordi taglienti, da fonti
di calore e da combustibili.
7) La presa e la spina del cavo di prolunga
devono essere omologati per l’uso in ester-
no. Usare un cavo di prolunga armonizzato
almeno del tipo H05RN-F con sezione del
cavo, tipo presa e spina idonei alla potenza
della macchina; consultate il vostro elettri-
cista di fiducia.
8) Prima di ogni utilizzo, controllate sempre che
il cavo di prolunga non sia danneggiato.
9) I bambini devono essere tenuti lontani dagli
apparecchi collegati alla rete elettrica.
10)Evitate il contatto del corpo con superfici
messe a massa o a terra.
11)Se il cavo di alimentazione o il cavo di prolun-
ga si danneggiano durante l’uso, scollegate
immediatamente il cavo di prolunga dalla rete
di alimentazione elettrica. Non toccate i cavi
prima di aver sconnesso la macchina dalla
rete di alimentazione elettrica. Non utilizzate
la macchina se i cavi sono danneggiati.
Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato,
deve essere sostituito dal produttore, dal suo
servizio assistenza o da personale qualificato
al fine di evitare un pericolo.
Questa macchina è costruita con sistema a
doppio isolamento. Il doppio isolamento offre
maggiore sicurezza elettrica e non rende neces-
saria la messa a terra della macchina.

Before operating the machine familiarise
yourself with the commands and with the
correct use of the machine, ensuring that you
are aware of how to switch it off in case of an
emergency. Improper use of the machine could
cause serious injury.
Always consider your safety and the safety of
others and act accordingly.
Carefully keep this instruction handbook in a
safe and handy place.
WARNING! The machine is only for cutting
grass in gardens and along the edges of flower
beds. Any other use not indicated in these
instructions can cause damage to the machine
and constitute a serious risk to the user.

Do not use the machine in the case of rain, in
damp environments or on wet lawns.
7 Respect the safety distance of at least 5 m
from other people.
8 Electric and electronic waste may contain
substances that are dangerous for the
environment and for human health. For this
reason they must never be disposed of
together with domestic waste, but collected
separately in specific collection centres or
returned to the retailer when similar new
equipment has been purchased. The illegal
disposal of such equipment may result in
prosecution to the full extent of the law.
9 Noise level.
10 Wear safety shoes and work gloves.
11 Beware of flying objects.
12 Pull out the power cord if the cord is dama-
ged or entangled.
13 Do not place the machine horizontally or in
positions that leverage the protective plastic
as this may deform or break.
14 WARNING! It is prohibited to install saw
blades.
GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
PLASTIC BAGS ARE NOT TOYS
WARNING! Risk of suffocation. Plastic bags
can cause suffocation, if included in the
package stuck on the head and must be kept
away from children, if not more reusable must
be cut and disposed of in the trash.
1)This unit can not be used by children or
persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge. Children must not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must
not be carried out by children.
2) Always check the efficiency and integrity of
the machine; if it is not in good operating
condition, the machine can pose a hazard to
those operating it.
3) Before using the machine and after any
knocks, check the machine for visible signs of
external wear and damage. If necessary, take
it to an authorised service centre in order to
carry out any necessary repairs.
4) Do not use the machine if the safety devices
are damaged or missing, or if the cutting
device is not properly inserted, fixed or is
damaged. Check its condition before operating
the machine.
5) Before switching the machine on, make sure
the cutting element is not in contact with any
stones, debris or foreign bodies.
6)
Always operate with adequate clothing in order
to avoid any injury to the face, eyes, hands,
feet, head and to hearing: always use protective
eyewear or goggles, safety boots, and strong
trousers, non-slip work gloves, safety hats and
hearing protection.
7) When switching on the motor and when the
machine is in use, keep the cutting element
away from any parts of the body, especially
hands and feet.

Do not switch on the machine when it is upside
down or not in an operating position
.

9) Switch the motor off and disconnect the
machine from the power supply: when out
of use, when left unattended, during cleaning
operations, when being transported from
one place to another, when the power cable
or extension is damaged, when removing or
changing the cutting device or when manually
measuring the length of the cutting thread.
10) Do not pull the machine along by its power
cable. Always used the hand grip.
11) Keep the machine away from people,
children, pets; switch it off when they are near-
by; and in particular, maintain a safety distan-
ce as indicated in point 9 of the description
of marks and signs: cut grass thrown up can
contain stones and debris that are dangerous.
12) When working maintain a stable and safe
position.
13) Always keep the area to be cut free from
wires, stones and debris.
14) During operation, do not cut against hard
objects to prevent damage to the machine
and injury to the operator.
15) Never use the machine without the safety
devices (if provided separately). Never use the
machine if the safety devices are damaged.
WARNING! The safety devices are essential
for your safety and the safety of others and for
the correct operation of the machine. Failure
to observe this regulation, besides creating a
potential danger, will cause the warranty to
be annulled.
16) Take care of the wire cutter (if provided); it
may cause deep cuts.
17) Do not attempt to stop the cutting device
(cutting wire) with your hands. Always let it
come to a stop on its own.
WARNING! After the machine has been
switched off, the cutting element continues
to rotate for a few seconds.
18) Do not use a different cutting wire from
the original. Never use metal wire instead of
plastic wire.
19) Do not use the machine to cut grass that
is not in contact with the soil; for example do
not cut grass that is on walls or stones, etc…
20) Do not start the machine in indoor or poorly
ventilated areas or in the presence of inflam-
mable or explosive liquids, gases, powders
and/or elements.
21) The operator is responsible for other people
in the working area as far as accidents or
damage caused by the use of the machine
is concerned.
22) Only work during daylight hours or with
sufficient artificial lighting.
23) Always make sure that the machine’s venti-
lation openings are not obstructed by residue.
24) Do not cross gravel roads or pathways when
the machine is operating.
25) When not in use, keep the machine in a dry
place out of reach of children.
26) After the use, disconnect the machine
from the power supply and check there are
no faults. If in doubt, contact an authorised
service centre.
27) Only use this machine in the way described
in these instructions.
28) Periodically check that the screws are tight
(where fitted).
29)
Use only spare parts and accessories provided
or recommended by the manufacturer.
30) Do not attempt to repair the machine or
access its internal parts. Always contact an
authorised service centre.
31) Do not allow yourself to be distracted and
always pay attention to what you are doing.
Use your common sense. Never use the ma-
chine when tired, ill or under the influence of
alcohol, or other drugs.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
1) The power supply voltage must correspond to
that indicated on the technical data plate. Do
not use any other type of power supply.
2) Must be used a trip switch on the power sup-
ply line, by means of a differential relay (RCD)
with a tripping current of no more than 30 mA
or in keeping with the standards currently in
force in the country in which the machine is
used. Contact your local electrician.
3) Do not run over the extension cable with the
machine or with vehicles, as you could cut it.
Be aware of its position at all times.
4) Use the special cable clip to connect the
extension cable.
5) Do not use the machine in the rain. Do not let
it get wet or leave it exposed to damp. Do not

leave it outdoors overnight. Do not cut damp
or wet grass.
6) Only use an extension cable approved for
outdoor use. Keep it away from the cutting
area, from damp, wet, greasy and sharp
surfaces and also from sources of heat and
combustibles.
7) The socket and plug the extension cord must
be approved for outdoor use. Use a matched
extension cable at least of the type H05RN- F
with cable section, plug and socket type su-
itable for the power of the machine. Contact
your local electrician.
8) Before use, always make sure that the exten-
sion cable is not damaged.
9) Keep children away from the apparatus con-
nected to the power supply.
10) Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces.
11) If the power cable or extension cable is
damaged during use, disconnect the extension
cable from the power supply immediately. Do
not touch the cables before disconnecting
the machine from the power supply. Do not
use the machine if the cables are damaged.
If the power cord is damaged it must be repla-
ced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
This machine is manufactured with a double
insulation system. Double insulation offers
additional electrical safety and means that there
is no need to earth the machine.
