Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY HDMI 2.0b 18G Repeater. This product has been designed to provide
trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime technical
support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The LINDY HDMI 2.0b 18G Repeater allows 4K Ultra HD 60Hz YUV 4:4:4 video signals to be extended
by connecting multiple HDMI cables together. To reach even longer distances multiple Repeaters may be
cascaded up to 10 layers.

Operation
To achieve the stated distances, you must use high quality 24AWG HDMI Cables, such as the LINDY Gold
HDMI range. Using lower quality cables as well as adjusting the resolution, refresh rate, colour space and
colour depth will alter the possible distances.
Connect your HDMI source to the extender’s input port
Connect your monitor to the extenders output port
Longer lengths may be possible when using lower resolutions such as Full HD 1080p
Next to the HDMI input port of the Repeater is a Status LED, this will light red when sufficient power is
provided and then turn green when cables are securely connected to the input and output. Finally the LED
will turn orange when a HDMI signal is detected.
If you are using multiple units then you must observe the maximum cable distances stated above between
each Repeater. In addition you must attach a 5V DC >500mA power supply or USB DC cable with a
3.5/1.35 barrel to each of the cascaded Repeaters.
Troubleshooting
Picture is not showing, or the picture flickers:
Check the status LED colour, if the LED does not light up red when first connected then attach a 5V
DC >500mA power supply or USB DC cable with a 3.5/1.35mm barrel
Use shorter lengths of cable or higher quality cables
Use high Quality LINDY GOLD cables, make sure connectors are well seated
Reduce the resolution, colour space or colour depth
On-board or cheap/low quality graphics cards can reduce cable length to the Repeater by up to 50%

Installation und Betrieb
Um die angegebenen Kabellängen und Auflösungen zu erreichen müssen unbedingt hochwertige HDMI
Kabel wie die LINDY GOLD Kabel verwendet werden. Bei Verwendung anderer Kabel können die
Kabellängen NICHT garantiert werden. Änderungen bei Auflösung, Bildrate, Farbraumunterabtastung und
Farbtiefe ändern ebenfalls die möglichen Längen.
Schließen Sie ein GOLD HDMI Kabel der erforderlichen Länge an die HDMI Quelle und den Eingang
des Repeaters an.
Schließen Sie ein weiteres GOLD HDMI Kabel der erforderlichen Länge an den Ausgang des
Repeaters und an das Display an.
Verwenden Sie keine Zwischenkupplungen zur Verbindung kürzerer Kabel.
Bei 1080p Auflösungen können auch größere Längen mit Zwischenkupplungen möglich sein.
Die Status LED am Receiver leuchtet rot wenn der Receiver von der HDMI Quelle mit ausreichend Energie
versorgt wird. Sie wechselt zu Grün wenn ein aktiver Link zum Display aufgebaut worden ist. Leuchtet sie
nicht, so muss ein separates externes Netzteil an den Repeater angeschlossen werden. Bei Kaskadierung
mehrerer Repeater muss immer ein Netzteil (5VDC, ≥0,5A, 3,5/1,35mm DC Hohlstecker, z.B. LINDY
73824) an jeden Repeater angeschlossen werden.
Fehlerbehebung
Kein Bild oder flackerndes Bild:
Prüfen Sie die Anzeige LED am Repeater und beachten Sie die obigen Hinweise dazu.
Verwenden Sie hochwertige wie die LINDY GOLD Kabel, achten Sie auf festen Sitz der Stecker.
Onboard oder billige Grafikkarten können die mögliche Kabellänge am Eingang auf 50% reduzieren
Verwenden Sie kürzere oder hochwertigere Kabel.
Reduzieren Sie die Auflösung, Bildrate, Farbtiefe und/oder Farbunterraumabtastung.
Sollten Sie die Probleme nicht lösen können so kontaktieren Sie bitte den LINDY Technik-Support

Installation et utilisation
Pour atteindre les distances citées, vous devez utiliser des câbles 24AWG HDMI de haute qualité, tel que
la gamme LINDY Gold HDMI. L’utilisation de câbles de qualité inférieure, ainsi que l’ajustement de la
résolution, de la fréquence de rafraichissement, de l’espace colorimétrique et de la profondeur de couleur
modifient les distances possibles.
Connectez votre source HDMI au port d’entrée du répéteur
Connectez votre écran au port de sortie du répéteur
De plus grandes longueurs sont possibles avec une résolution plus basse, tel que le Full HD 1080p
A côté du port d’entrée HDMI du répéteur se trouve une LED d’état, elle s’allume en rouge lorsque
l’alimentation est détectée et tourne au vert lorsque les câbles HDMI sont connectés en entrée et en sortie.
Finalement, la LED passe à l’orange lorsqu’un signal HDMI est détecté.
Si vous utilisez plusieurs unités vous devez respecter la longueur maximale de câble citée ci-dessus entre
chaque répéteur. De plus, vous devez raccorder une alimentation 5V DC >500mA ou un câble USB DC
avec une prise ronde 3,5/1,35 à chacun des répéteurs cascadés.
Dépannage
Aucune image ne s’affiche, ou l’image clignote:
Vérifiez la couleur de la LED d’état, si la LED ne s’allume pas en rouge lors de la connexion raccordez
une alimentation 5V DC >500mA ou un câble USB DC avec prise ronde 3,5/1,35mm
Utilisez des câbles plus courts ou de meilleure qualité
Réduisez la résolution, l’espace colorimétrique ou la profondeur de couleur
Utilisez des câbles de haute qualité LINDY GOLD, assurez-vous que les connecteurs soient bien
branchés
Les chipset graphiques intégrés aux cartes mère peuvent réduire les distances de déport de 50%

Installazione ed Uso
Per raggiungere le distanze indicate è necessario utilizzare cavi HDMI di alta qualità con conduttori da
24AWG come quelli della gamma HDMI LINDY GOLD. Utilizzare cavi di qualità inferiore, modificare le
risoluzioni, frequenza di refresh, spazio e profondità colore possono alterare le lunghezze massime
raggiungibili. Lunghezza superiori sono possibili utilizzando risoluzioni più basse come la Full HD 1080p.
Collegate la vostra sorgente HDMI alla porta Input del ripetitore
Collegate il vostro monitor alla porta Output del ripetitore
Vicino alla porta HDMI Input del Repetitore c’è un LED di Status che si illumina in rosso quando
l’alimentazione elettrica è sufficiente e diventa verde quando vengono connessi correttamente i cavi sia in
input che output. Da ultimo il LED diventa arancione quando viene rilevato un segnale HDMI in transito.
Se utilizzate unità multiple dovrete osservare le distanze massime citate sopra anche fra tutti i ripetitori
connessi. In aggiunta dovrete collegare un alimentatore da 5V DC >500mA o un cavo USB DC con
connettore da 3.5/1.35mm a ciascun ripetitore connesso nella cascata.
Risoluzione dei problemi
Nessuna immagine visualizzata o immagine instabile:
Controllate il colore del LED Status: se non diventa rosso dopo il primo collegamento provate a
collegare un alimentatore 5V DC >500mA o un cavo USB DC con connettore da 3.5/1.35mm
Utilizzate cavi più corti o di qualità superiore come i cavi LINDY GOLD o di lunghezza inferiore e
controllate che i connettori siano inseriti correttamente nelle relative porte.
Schede grafiche integrate o economiche possono ridurre la distanza raggiungibile anche del 50%
Riducete risoluzione, spazio e/o profondità colore

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical
and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead,
these products must enter the recycling process.
Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways.
Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic products. More details can
