“Front display”

In this manual, the screen that is attached to

the body of this product is referred to as the

“Front display”.

“microSD card”

The microSD card and microSDHC card are

collectively referred to as the “microSD card”.

WARNING

! Do not attempt to install or service this pro-

duct yourself. Installation or servicing of this

product by persons without training and ex-

perience in electronic equipment and automo-

tive accessories may be dangerous and could

expose you to the risk of electric shock or

other hazards.

! Do not allow this product to come into contact

with liquids. Electrical shock could result.

Also, damage to the product, smoke, and over-

heating could result from contact with liquids.

! If liquid or foreign matter should get inside

this product, park your vehicle in a safe place,

turn the ignition switch off (ACC OFF) immedi-

ately and consult your dealer or the nearest

authorised Pioneer Service Station. Do not

use this product in this condition because

doing so may result in a fire, electric shock, or

! If you notice smoke, a strange noise or odour

from this product, or any other abnormal

signs on the LCD screen, turn off the power

immediately and consult your dealer or the

nearest authorised Pioneer Service Station.

Using this product in this condition may result

in permanent damage to the system.

! Do not disassemble or modify this product, as

there are high-voltage components inside

which may cause an electric shock. Be sure

to consult your dealer or the nearest

authorised Pioneer Service Station for internal

inspection, adjustments or repairs.

Before using this product, be sure to read and

! Read this booklet and the entire operation

manual before using this product.

! Any app-based navigation or mapping in-

formation (and rear view camera option if

purchased) displayed on this product

should be used solely as an aid to you in

the operation of your vehicle. It is not a sub-

stitute for your attentiveness, judgement,

and care when driving.

! Do not operate this product, any applica-

tions, or the rear view camera option (if pur-

chased) if doing so will divert your attention

in any way from the safe operation of your

vehicle. Always observe safe driving rules

and follow all existing traffic regulations. If

you experience difficulty in operating this

product or reading the display, park your

vehicle in a safe location and apply the

handbrake before making the necessary

adjustments.

! Never allow others to use this product un-

less they have read and understood the op-

erating instructions.

! Never set the volume of this product so

high that you cannot hear outside traffic

and emergency vehicles.

! To promote safety, certain functions are dis-

abled unless the vehicle is stopped and/or

the handbrake is applied.

! Keep this manual handy as a reference for

operating procedures and safety informa-

tion.

! Pay close attention to all warnings in this

manual and follow the instructions care-

fully.

! Do not install this product where it may (i)

obstruct the driver’s vision, (ii) impair the

performance of any of the vehicle’s operat-

ing systems or safety features, including

airbags, hazard lamp buttons or (iii) impair

the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehi-

cle.

! Please remember to fasten your seat belt at

all times while operating your vehicle. If

you are ever in an accident, your injuries

can be considerably more severe if your

seat belt is not properly buckled.

! Never use headphones while driving.

! Traffic restrictions and advisories are al-

ways more important than guidance given

by a third-party navigation/mapping iPhone

application. Always obey current traffic re-

strictions, even if the application provides

contrary advice.

Important safety information

To ensure safe driving

Certain functions (such as viewing of app-

based visual content and certain touch panel

key operations) offered by this product could

be dangerous and/or unlawful if used while

driving. To prevent such functions from being

used while the vehicle is in motion, there is an

interlock system that senses when the hand-

brake is set. If you attempt to use the functions

described above while driving, they will be-

come disabled until you stop the vehicle in a

safe place, and apply the handbrake. Please

keep the brake pedal pushed down before re-

leasing the handbrake.

WARNING

! GREEN/WHITE LEAD AT POWER CON-

NECTOR IS DESIGNED TO DETECT

PARKED STATUS AND MUST BE CON-

NECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY SIDE

OF THE HANDBRAKE SWITCH. IMPRO-

PER CONNECTION OR USE OF THIS

LEAD MAY VIOLATE APPLICABLE LAW

AND MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY

OR DAMAGE.

! To avoid the risk of damage and injury and the

potential violation of applicable laws, this pro-

duct is not for use with a video image that is

visible to the driver.

! In some countries the viewing of video image

on a display inside a vehicle even by persons

other than the driver may be illegal. Where

such regulations apply, they must be obeyed.

! When applying the handbrake in order to view

video image or to enable other functions of-

fered by this product, park your vehicle in a

safe place, and keep the brake pedal pushed

down before releasing the handbrake if the ve-

hicle is parked on a hill or otherwise might

move when releasing the handbrake.

If you attempt to watch video image while driv-

ing, the warning “Viewing of front seat

video source while driving is strictly pro-

hibited.” will appear on the screen. To watch

video image on this display, stop the vehicle in

a safe place and apply the handbrake. Please

keep the brake pedal pushed down before re-

leasing the handbrake.

To avoid battery exhaustion

Be sure to run the vehicle engine while using

this product. Using this product without run-

ning the engine can drain the battery.

WARNING

Do not install this product in a vehicle that does

not have an ACC wire or circuitry available.

Protecting the LCD panel

and screen

p Do not allow direct sunlight to fall on the

LCD screen when this product is not being

used. Extended exposure to direct sunlight

can result in LCD screen malfunction due

to the resulting high temperatures.

p To protect the LCD screen from damage, be

sure to touch the touch panel keys with

your finger only and gently touch the

screen.

p If a protection sheet is attached to the dis-

play, depending on the protection sheet, it

may cause malfunctioning.

p When using a mobile phone, keep the aer-

ial of the mobile phone away from the LCD

screen to prevent disruption of the video in

the form of spots, coloured stripes, etc.

Additional safety information

Rear view camera

With an optional rear view camera, you are

able to use this product for increased visibility

while backing up, or to keep an eye on a trailer

attached to the vehicle.

WARNING

When you connect the rear view camera, do not

forget to adjust the setting of this product so as

to display mirror reversed images on the screen.

CAUTION

Do not use this function for entertainment

purposes.

Handling the microSD card

CAUTION

! Keep the microSD card out of the reach of

small children to prevent them from acciden-

tally swallowing it.

! To prevent data loss and damage to the sto-

rage device, never remove it from this product

while data is being transferred.

! If data loss or corruption occurs on the sto-

rage device for any reason, it is usually not

possible to recover the data. Pioneer accepts

no liability for damages, costs or expenses

arising from data loss or corruption.

! Never insert or eject an microSD card while

driving.

! Do not leave the microSD card in any location

with high temperatures.

! Veillez à toujours attacher votre ceinture de

sécurité sur la route. En cas d’accident, le

ont toujours la priorité sur guidage fourni

par un système de navigation tiers ou une

application de cartographie iPhone. Res-

pectez toujours le code de la route actuel,

Pour garantir une conduite

en toute sécurité

Certaines fonctions (telles que la visualisation

d’un contenu visuel via une application et l’uti-

lisation de certaines touches de l’écran tactile)

offertes par ce produit peuvent être dangereu-

ses et/ou illégales si elles sont utilisées pen-

dant que vous conduisez. Pour éviter que de

telles fonctions soient utilisées pendant que le

véhicule est en déplacement, un système de

verrouillage détecte quand le frein à main est

serré. Si vous essayez d’utiliser les fonctions

décrites ci-dessus pendant que vous condui-

sez, elles deviendront indisponibles jusqu’àce

que vous arrêtiez le véhicule dans un endroit

sûr et que vous serriez le frein à main. Pensez

à appuyer sur la pédale de frein lorsque vous

desserrez le frein à main.

! Pour éviter les risques de dommages ou bles-

sures et la violation éventuelle des lois appli-

cables, ce produit ne doit pas être utilisé

lorsqu’une image vidéo est visible par le

conducteur.

! Dans certains pays, le fait de regarder une

Image vidéo sur un afficheur dans une voiture

est illégal, même s’il s’agit d’autres personnes

que le conducteur. Lorsqu’il existe de telles rè-

gles, vous devez vous y conformer.

! Lorsque vous serrez le frein à main pour regar-

der une image vidéo ou activer d’autres fonc-

tions proposées par ce produit, stationnez

votre véhicule en lieu sûr. Appuyez sur la pé-

dale de frein avant de desserrer le frein à main

si le véhicule est stationné en pente, sinon le

véhicule risque de se déplacer lorsque vous

desserrez le frein à main.

Si vous essayez de regarder une image vidéo

tout en conduisant, l’avertissement “Utilisa-

tion de la source vidéo du siège avant in-

terdite en roulant.” apparaîtra à l’écran. Pour

regarder une image vidéo sur l’afficheur, sta-

tionnez votre véhicule en lieu sûr et serrez le

frein à main. Veuillez maintenir la pédale de

frein enfoncée avant de desserrer le frein à

main.

Pour éviter l’épuisement de

la batterie

Assurez-vous de faire tourner le moteur lors de

l’utilisation de cet appareil. Utiliser cet appa-

reil sans faire tourner le moniteur peut déchar-

ger la batterie.

AVERTISSEMENT

N’installez pas ce produit dans des véhicules qui

ne possèdent pas de câble ACC ni de circuit dis-

ponible.

Protection du panneau et

de l’écran LCD

p Ne laissez pas la lumière directe du soleil

tomber sur l’écran LCD quand ce produit

n’est pas utilisé. Une exposition prolongée

à la lumière directe du soleil peut entraîner

un mauvais fonctionnement de l’écran LCD

à cause des hautes températures résultant

de l’exposition prolongée.

p Pour empêcher l’écran LCD d’être endom-

magé, touchez les touches de l’écran tac-

tile uniquement avec le doigt et touchez

délicatement l’écran.

p Si une feuille de protection est fixée sur

l'écran, il se peut que selon la feuille de pro-

tection cela entraîne un mauvais fonction-

nement.

p Lorsque vous utilisez un téléphone por-

table, maintenez l’antenne du portable éloi-

gnée de l’écran LCD pour éviter la

perturbation de la vidéo sous la forme de

taches, de bandes colorées, etc.

Caméra de rétrovisée

Avec une caméra de rétrovisée en option, vous

pouvez utiliser ce produit pour augmenter

votre visibilité pendant une marche arrière ou

pour surveiller une caravane remorquée par le

véhicule.

AVERTISSEMENT

Quand vous connectez une caméra de rétrovisée,

n’oubliez pas de changer les réglages de ce pro-

duit de façon à afficher une image miroir inversée

sur l’écran.

ATTENTION

N’utilisez pas cette fonction dans un but de

divertissement.

Manipulation de la carte

microSD

ATTENTION

! Conservez la carte microSD hors de la portée

des jeunes enfants pour éviter qu’elle soit ava-

lée accidentellement.

! Pour éviter toute perte de données et tout

dommage du périphérique de stockage, ne le

retirez jamais de ce produit pendant que des

données sont en cours de transfert.

! Si une perte ou une altération des données se

produit sur le périphérique de stockage pour

une raison ou une autre, il n’est normalement

pas possible de récupérer les données.
