Thank you for purchasing the 70m Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, IR & RS-232 HDBaseT Wall Plate Extender. This

product has been designed to provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2-year

warranty and free lifetime technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and

retain it for future reference.

The Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, IR & RS-232 HDBaseT Wall Plate Extender is a high-performance Transmitter for

extending HDMI signals over long distances via Cat.6 network cable.

HDBaseT is a globally recognised standard for high quality distribution of AV content and other

technologies, including power and control, over longer distances via low cost Cat.6 or above cable.

Supporting resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, video can be viewed in stunning clarity, while additional support

for HDR (High Dynamic Range) allows content to be displayed with enhanced brightness, greater contrasts

of blacks and whites and a much wider colour gamut. This provides a reliable solution for creating eye-

catching digital signage in retail, immersive displays at events or engaging setups in larger conference

rooms or lectures halls. The 1-gang form factor allows the user to install the unit in a standard EU wall

box.

Please Note: The quoted lengths and resolutions are possible with a direct connection between

Transmitter and Receiver using good quality Cat.6 cable. Using a different cable type, introducing couplers

Installation and Operation

Overview

1. Status LED:

 Light on – HDBaseT connection and HDMI signal are active.

 Light off – HDBaseT connection is active but there is no HDMI signal.

 Light flashing – There is no HDBaseT connection.

2. HDMI IN: Connect to an HDMI source device.

3. IR IN: Connect the supplied IR Receiver cable for IR signal reception. Ensure the remote being used

is within the direct line-of-sight of the IR Extender.

4. IR OUT: Connect the supplied IR Transmitter cable for IR signal transmission. Place the IR Transmitter

in direct line-of-sight of the equipment to be controlled.

5. HDBaseT OUT: Connect a compatible HDBaseT receiver using a single Cat.6 or above cable for all

data signals. Please do not connect to a network port.

6. ON/OFF Switch: Turn ON/OFF the PoC function.

7. DC 24V: Connect the 24VDC 1A PSU to an AC wall outlet if needed. The unit can be powered on also

connecting a HDBaseT Receiver with PoC function.

8. Connect to a PC, serial controller or serial device via a phoenix block 3-way connection for the pass-

through transmission of RS-232 commands.

9. SERVICE: Reserved for MCU updates.

Important! Before starting the installation, please ensure that all devices are powered off.

1. Connect an HDMI source device to the Transmitter unit using an HDMI cable.

2. Connect one end of the Cat.6 or above cable to the HDBaseT Out port on the Transmitter and the

other end to the HDBaseT In port of the Receiver. U/UTP or F/UTP installation cables are

recommended. For cable lengths please see the Specifications of this manual.

3. Use an HDMI cable to connect an HDMI display device to the HDMI output port on the Receiver unit.

4. Plug the DC power supply into either the Transmitter or Receiver (if using PoC function) and switch

on.

5. Power on the source device and display to complete the installation.

In addition to the installation steps outlined above this HDMI 18G Extender can also provide the following

additional/optional functionality:

RS-232 Serial

The unit feature a phoenix block serial connection for the extension of control signals.

Infrared Control

The unit feature an IR In and Out port, with a pair of IR extension cable

provided. The extension cables allow an IR remote control to be used

from the Transmitter to the Receiver or vice versa.

Troubleshooting

There is no display on the screen.

Please ensure that the HDBaseT Receiver used together with this Transmitter supports distance,

resolution and features required.

It has been found that there are significant differences in the cable lengths/types and even input ports

which can be used on different brands of display using HDMI 18G 4K@60Hz resolutions. If problems are

experienced, please apply the following steps:

 Try a different input port on the display.

 Reduce the cable length on the Input and Output to 1m.

 Try a different type of 1m HDMI Cable.

 Check that the DC plug used by the external power supply is firmly connected and that the LED is

illuminated.

 If using PoC function, ensure that the switch on the rear side of the unit is ON.

 Check that the Cat.6/7 cable is plugged in correctly.

 Check that the Indicator LED is illuminated, if not please power cycle the source and display.

 For several HDMI devices it may be helpful to unplug and re-connect their HDMI connection to re-

initiate the HDMI handshake and recognition.

 Power off all the devices, then power on in this order: first, the extender, then the display and finally

the source.

 Reduce the length of Cat.6/7 or HDMI cable used or use a higher quality cable.

Installation & Betrieb

Übersicht

1. Status-LED:

 Licht an – HDBaseT-Verbindung und HDMI-Signal sind aktiv.

 Licht aus – Die HDBaseT-Verbindung ist aktiv, aber es gibt kein HDMI-Signal.

 Licht blinkt – Es besteht keine HDBaseT-Verbindung.

2. HDMI-IN: Zum Anschluss einer HDMI-Quelle

3. IR-IN: Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte IR-Empfängerkabel für den IR-Signalempfang an. Stellen Sie

sicher, dass sich die verwendete Fernbedienung innerhalb der direkten Sichtlinie des IR-Extenders

befindet.

4. IR-AUSGANG: Schließen Sie den mitgelieferten IR-Sender für die IR-Signalübertragung an.

Platzieren Sie den IR-Sender in direkter Sichtlinie des zu steuernden Geräts.

5. HDBaseT OUT: Schließen Sie einen kompatiblen HDBaseT-Empfänger über ein einziges Cat.6-

Kabel (oder höher) an, um alle Datensignale zu erhalten. Bitte stellen Sie keine Verbindung zu einem

Netzwerkport her.

6. ON / OFF-Schalter: Schalten Sie die PoC-Funktion ein / aus.

7. DC 24V: Schließen Sie das 24VDC 1A Netzteil bei Bedarf an eine Steckdose an. Das Gerät kann

auch durch Anschluss eines HDBaseT-Empfängers mit PoC-Funktion eingeschaltet werden.

8. Zum Anschluss an einen PC, einen seriel Steuerung oder ein serielles Gerät über eine Phoenix-

Block-Verbindung (3-fach) für die Pass-Through-Übertragung von RS-232-Befehlen.

Wichtig! Bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen, stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass alle Geräte ausgeschaltet

sind.

1. Schließen Sie ein HDMI-Quellgerät über ein HDMI-Kabel an die Sendeeinheit an.

2. Verbinden Sie ein Ende des Cat.6-Kabels (oder höher) mit dem HDBaseT-Ausgang am Sender und

das andere Ende mit dem HDBaseT-Eingang des Empfängers. U/UTP- oder F/UTP-

Installationskabel werden empfohlen. Die Kabellängen entnehmen Sie bitte den Spezifikationen

dieses Handbuchs.

3. Verwenden Sie ein HDMI-Kabel, um ein HDMI-Anzeigegerät an den HDMI-Ausgang der

Empfängereinheit anzuschließen.

4. Schließen Sie das Netzteil am Sender oder Empfänger an (bei Verwendung der PoC-Funktion) und

schalten sie ein.

5. Schalten Sie das Quellgerät und das Display ein, um die Installation abzuschließen.

Zusätzlich zu den oben beschriebenen Installationsschritten kann dieser HDMI 18G Extender auch die

folgenden zusätzlichen/optionalen Funktionen bieten:

RS-232 seriell

Das Gerät verfügt über einen seriellen Phoenix-Blockanschluss zur Erweiterung von Steuersignalen.

Infrarot-Steuerung

Das Gerät verfügt über einen IR-Eingang und -Ausgang mit einem

IR-Verlängerungskabel. Die Verlängerungskabel ermöglichen die

Verwendung einer IR-Fernbedienung vom Sender zum Empfänger

oder umgekehrt.

Fehlersuche

Es gibt keine Anzeige auf dem Bildschirm.

Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass der HDBaseT-Empfänger, der zusammen mit diesem Sender verwendet wird,

Entfernung, Auflösung und erforderliche Funktionen unterstützt.

Es gibt signifikante Unterschiede bei Kabellängen / -typen und sogar den Eingangsanschlüssen, die bei

verschiedenen Displaymarken mit HDMI 18G 4K@60Hz-Auflösungen verwendet werden können.

Wenn Probleme auftreten, wenden Sie bitte die folgenden Schritte an:

 Probieren Sie einen anderen Eingangsanschluss am Display aus.

 Reduzieren Sie die Kabellänge am Ein- und Ausgang auf 1m.

 Probieren Sie ein anderes 1m-HDMI-Kabel aus.

 Überprüfen Sie, ob die Anzeige-LED leuchtet, wenn nicht, schalten Sie bitte die Quelle und das

Display aus.

 Bei mehreren HDMI-Geräten kann es hilfreich sein, die HDMI-Verbindung zu trennen und wieder

anzuschließen, um den HDMI-Handshake und die HDMI-Erkennung erneut zu initiieren.

 Schalten Sie alle Geräte aus, dann schalten Sie sie in dieser Reihenfolge ein: zuerst den Extender,

dann das Display und schließlich die Quelle.

 Reduzieren Sie die Länge des verwendeten Cat.6/7- oder HDMI-Kabels oder verwenden Sie ein

hochwertigeres Kabel.

Remarque : Les longueurs et résolutions indiquées sont possibles avec une connexion directe entre

Installation et Utilisation

Vue d‘ensemble

1. LED d‘état :

 Allumée – la connexion HDBaseT et le signal HDMI sont actifs.

 Eteinte – la connexion HDBaseT est active mais il n’y a pas de signal HDMI.

 Clignote – il n’y a pas de connexion HDBaseT.

2. HDMI IN : Connecte la source HDMI.

3. IR IN : Connecte le câble IR fourni pour la réception du signal IR. Assurez-vous que la télécommande

soit en ligne de mire du capteur infrarouge de l’extender.

4. IR OUT : Connecte le câble émetteur IR fourni pour la transmission des signaux IR. Placez l’émetteur

IR en ligne de mire de l’équipement à contrôler via infrarouge.

5. HDBaseT OUT : Connecte un récepteur HDBaseT compatible en utilisant un câble Cat.6 ou supérieur

pour tous les signaux. Ne pas connecter ce port au réseau Ethernet.

6. Bouton ON/OFF : Active/désactive la fonction PoC.

7. DC 24V : Connecte l’alimentation 24VDC 1A. L’unité peut être alimentée également en connectant un

récepteur HDBaseT avec fonction PoC.

8. Connecte un PC, contrôleur série ou périphérique série via un bloc de connexion Phoenix 3 broches

pour passer les commandes RS-232.

9. SERVICE : réservé.

Important ! Avant de commencer l'installation, veuillez vous assurer que tous les appareils sont hors

tension.

1. Connectez un appareil source HDMI à l'unité émettrice à l'aide d'un câble HDMI.

2. Connectez une extrémité du câble Cat.6 ou supérieur au port HDBaseT Out de l'émetteur et l'autre

extrémité au port HDBaseT In du récepteur. Les câbles d'installation U/UTP ou F/UTP sont

recommandés. Pour les longueurs de câble, veuillez consulter les spécifications de ce manuel.

3. Utilisez un câble HDMI pour connecter un écran HDMI au port de sortie HDMI du récepteur.

4. Branchez l'alimentation sur l'émetteur ou le récepteur (si vous utilisez la fonction PoC) et mettez sous

tension.

5. Mettez la source et l'écran sous tension pour terminer l'installation.

En plus des étapes d'installation décrites ci-dessus, cet extender HDMI 18G peut également fournir les

fonctionnalités supplémentaires/optionnelles suivantes :

Série RS-232

L'unité dispose d'une connexion série de type bloc Phoenix pour l'extension des signaux de contrôle.

Contrôle infrarouge

L'unité dispose d'un port d'entrée et de sortie IR, avec une paire de

câbles d'extension IR fournis. Les câbles d'extension permettent

d'utiliser une télécommande IR de l'émetteur au récepteur ou vice

versa.

Dépannage

Aucune image à l’écran.

Veuillez vous assurer que le récepteur HDBaseT utilisé avec ce transmetteur est compatible avec la

distance, la résolution et les fonctions requises.

Il a été constaté qu'il existe des différences significatives dans les longueurs/types de câbles et même les

ports d'entrée qui peuvent être utilisés sur différentes marques d'écran utilisant des résolutions HDMI 18G

4K@60Hz. Si vous rencontrez des problèmes, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :

 Essayez un autre port d'entrée sur l'écran.

 Réduire la longueur du câble sur l'entrée et la sortie à 1m.

 Essayez un autre type de câble HDMI de 1 m.

 Vérifiez que la prise DC utilisée par l'alimentation externe est bien connectée et que la LED est

allumée.

 Si vous utilisez la fonction PoC, assurez-vous que l'interrupteur situé à l'arrière de l'unité est sur

ON.

 Vérifiez que le câble Cat.6/7 est correctement branché.

 Vérifiez que la LED d'indication est allumée, si ce n'est pas le cas, mettez la source et l'écran sous

tension.

 Pour certains appareils HDMI, il peut être utile de débrancher et de rebrancher leur connexion

HDMI pour réinitialiser l'échange et la reconnaissance HDMI.

 Eteignez tous les appareils, puis allumez-les dans cet ordre : d'abord l'extender, puis l'écran et

enfin la source.

 Réduire la longueur du câble Cat.6/7 ou HDMI utilisé ou utiliser un câble de meilleure qualité.

L'Extender HDBaseT Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, IR e RS-232 da parete, 70m è un trasmettitore ad alte prestazioni

per estendere i segnali HDMI su lunghe distanze tramite cavo di rete Cat.6.

La tecnologia HDBaseT è uno standard di alta qualità riconosciuto a livello globale per la distribuzione di

contenuti AV, segnali di comando e alimentazione su lunghe distanze tramite un cavo di rete Cat.6 o
