Thank you for showing your condence in us by purchasing the
Behringer COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400. This ultimate eects pedal is
specically designed to achieve super-smooth compression and endless
sustain. Thanks to its high-performance features you can compress loud
and boost low signals without degrading the original sound.
A compressor limits the dynamic range of a signal. This means that
signal peaks will be attenuated and the level dierences between
loudest and softest playing are reduced. This results in a more powerful
and pressure-rich tone.
1. Controls
(1) The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
(2) Turn up the TONE control to achieve more presence and
soundclarity.
(3) The ATTACK control determines how fast the compressor reacts
on the input signal. The attack time is sweepable between slow
and fast.
(4) The SUSTAIN control determines the amount of compression that
results in long-lasting tones.
(5) The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the eect is activated. It also
serves as a battery level indicator.
(6) Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the eect.
(7) Use this ¼" TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
(8) The ¼" TS OUT connector sends the signal to your amp.
Use the DC IN connection at the front of the unit to plug in a 9V power
supply (not included).

2 COMPRESSOR/SUSTAINER CS400
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover.
To install or replace the 9 V battery, press the hinges with a ballpen and
remove the pedal cover. Be careful not to scratch the unit.
◊ ◊ The CS400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert the
jack into the in connector, the CS400 begins running. When
not using the CS400, remove the jack from the in connector.
This extends the life of the battery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the bottom.
2. Safety Instructions
Do not use near water, or install near heat sources. Use only authorized
attachments/accessories. Do not service product yourself. Contact our
qualied servicing personnel for servicing or repairs, especially when
power supply cord or plug is damaged.

adquirir el COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400 de Behringer. Este pedal
de efectos ha sido diseñado para proporcionarte una compresión
supersuave y un sustain innito. Sus excepcionales características te
permiten comprimir señales fuertes y aumentar señales débiles sin
degradar el sonido original.
Un compresor restringe el rango dinámico de una señal, es decir, reduce
la diferencia entre señales con un nivel muy alto y señales con un nivel
muy bajo, lo que resulta en un sonido más potente y compacto.
1. Controles
(1) LEVEL regula el nivel de salida.
(2) El control TONE te permite obtener mayor presencia y claridad
de sonido.
(3) El control
ATTACK determina qué tan rápido reacciona el
compresor con respecto a la señal de entrada.
(4) El control SUSTAIN determina cómo afecta la compresión a
sonidos largos.
(5) El LED
ON/BATT se ilumina al activar el efecto, y también sirve
como indicador de la carga de la batería.

El COMPARTIMENTO DE LA BATERÍA se encuentra debajo de la cubierta

las bisagras laterales con un bolígrafo y retira la cubierta del pedal. Ten
cuidado de no rayar la unidad.
◊ ◊ El CS400 no dispone de un interruptor de encendido/
apagado. Tan pronto conectas tu instrumento en la entrada
IN, el CS400 comienza a funcionar. Si no vas a utilizar el
pedal, desconecta el cable de la entrada IN para prolongar
la vida de la batería.

Merci de la conance que tu nous as prouvée en achetant la CS400
Behringer. Cette pédale d’eet est spécialement conçue pour doter ton
son d’une compression souple et d’un sustain inni. Grâce à ses hautes
performances, elle te permet de densier et d’amplier les signaux
faibles sans en modier la couleur originale.
Un compresseur réduit la dynamique des signaux en abaissant le
niveau des crêtes, ce qui revient à réduire la diérence de niveau entre
les moments forts et faibles de ton jeu. Le résultat est un son dense,
compact et plus puissant.
1. Commandes
(1) La commande LEVEL détermine le niveau de sortie.
(2) Utilise le bouton TONE pour ajouter de la présence et de la clarté
à ton son.
(3) Le potentiomètre ATTACK dénit la vitesse
de réaction du compresseur en fonction
du niveau du signal entrant. Le réglage s’étend de rapide à lent.
(4) La commande SUSTAIN règle l’intensité de la compression,
autrement dit l’allongement de la durée des sons (sustain).
(5) La LED ON/BATT reste allumée tant que l’eet est actif. Elle sert
également de témoin d’état de la pile.
(6) Appuie sur le commutateur pour activer ou désactiver l’eet.
(7) Branche le câble de ton instrument dans l’entrée IN sur jack
asymétrique.
(8) Relie la sortie OUT sur jack asymétrique à l’entrée de ton ampli.
Utilise le connecteur DC IN pour le branchement d’un bloc
d’alimentation de 9 V (non inclus).
Le COMPARTIMENT PILE est situé sous le capot de la pédale. Pour
installer ou remplacer la pile 9 V, appuie sur les axes de la charnière avec
un stylo-bille et retire le capot de la pédale en veillant à ne pas la rayer.
◊ ◊ La CS400 ne possède pas de commutateur marche/arrêt.
C’est pourquoi elle fonctionne dès que tu insères un jack
dans son entrée IN. Tant que tu n’utilises pas ta CS400,
débranche le jack de son entrée IN pour augmenter la durée
de vie de la pile.
Le NUMERO DE SERIE est situé sur la base de la pédale.

SUSTAINER CS400 entgegengebracht hast. Dieses ultimative Eektpedal
ist speziell entwickelt, um druckvolle Kompression und endloses Sustain
zu erzeugen. Dank zahlreicher Features ist es Dir möglich, laute Signale zu
komprimieren und leise Signale hervorzuheben, ohne die Klangqualität
des Originalsignals zu beeinträchtigen.
Ein Kompressor reduziert den Dynamikumfang eines Signals.
Lautstärkespitzen werden abgesenkt, wodurch der Unterschied
zwischen den lautesten und leisesten Passagen eines Signals verringert
wird. Auf diese Weise erlangt man einen wesentlich fetteren und
druckvolleren Klang.
1. Bedienungselemente
(1) Der LEVEL-Regler bestimmt die Ausgangslautstärke.
(2) Mit dem TONE-Regler kannst Du dem Signal mehr Präsenz und
Klarheit verleihen.
(3) Mit dem ATTACK-Regler bestimmst Du, wie schnell der
Kompressor auf das Eingangssignal reagiert. Die Attack-Zeit ist
stufenlos regelbar.
(4) Der SUSTAIN-Regler regelt die Intensität der Kompression,
wodurch die typischen, langanhaltenden Töne entstehen.
(5) Die ON/BATT-LED leuchtet, sobald der Eekt aktiviert ist.
Zusätzlich kannst Du den Batteriezustand überprüfen.
(6) Der Fußschalter dient zum Aktivieren/Deaktivieren des Eekts.
(7) Die 6,3-mm IN-Monoklinkenbuchse dient zum Anschluss
desInstruments.
(8) Die 6,3-mm OUT-Monoklinkenbuchse leitet das Signal an Deinen
Verstärker weiter.
Der DC IN-Anschluss rechts am Gerät dient zum Anschluss eines 9 V
Adapters (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
Das BATTERIEFACH bendet sich unter dem Fußschalter.
Um die Batterie einzubauen oder auszutauschen, drücke
die Gelenke vorsichtig zusammen und entferne das Pedal.
Achte darauf, das Gerät nicht zu zerkratzen.
◊ ◊ Der CS400 hat keinen On/O-Schalter. Der CS400 ist
betriebsbereit, sobald ein Kabel in der IN-Buchse steckt.
Ziehe den Stecker aus der IN-Buchse, wenn der CS400 nicht in
Gebrauch ist. So verlängerst Du die Lebensdauer der Batterie.
Die SERIENNUMMER bendet sich auf der Unterseite des Geräts.
2. Sicherheitshinweise

COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400. Este Pedal de Efeitos de última geração

SUSTAINER CS400. Questo moderno pedale per eetti è stato realizzato
specialmente per creare una compressione compatta ed un sustain
innito. Grazie alle numerose funzioni sarà possibile comprimere segnali
alti ed evidenziare segnali silenziosi senza pregiudicare la qualità sonora
del segnale originale.
Un compressore riduce il volume dinamico di un segnale. I picchi di
volume vengono abbassati riducendo così la dierenza tra i passaggi più
alti e silenziosi di un segnale. In questo modo si ottiene un suono molto
più corposo e sostanzioso.
1. Elementi di Comando
(1) Il regolatore LEVEL determina il volume di uscita.
(2) Con il regolatore TONE è possibile conferire al segnale più
presenza e chiarezza.
(3) Con il regolatore ATTACK si potrà determinare la velocità con
la quale il compressore debba reagire al segnale di ingresso. Il
tempo di attack è regolabile in modo continuo.
(4) Il regolatore SUSTAIN regola l’intensitò dell’eetto sustain.
(5) Il LED ON/BATT si accende non appena è attivato l’eetto. Inoltre
potrai controllare lo stato dellabatteria.
(6) L’interruttore a pedale serve per attivare/disattivare l’eetto.
(7) Il monoattacco a nottolino IN da 6,3-mm serve per il
collegamento dello strumento.

L’ALLOGGIAMENTO DELLE BATTERIE si trova sotto l’interruttore
a pedale. Per montare o sostituire la batteria è necessario premere
con cura le giunture con una penna e rimuovere il pedale. Prestare
attenzione a non graare l’apparecchio.
◊ ◊ CS400 non è dotato di alcun interruttore On/O. CS400 è
pronto al funzionamento non appena nell’attacco IN viene
inserito un cavo. Quando il CS400 non è in uso si prega di
estrarre la spina dall’attacco IN. In questo modo si estende
la durata della batteria.

Hartelijk dank voor het vertrouwen, dat je ons door de aankoop van
de COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400 hebt getoond. Dit ultimatieve
eectpedaal is speciaal ontwikkeld, om compressie met veel druk en
een eindeloze sustain te krijgen. Dankzij talrijke features is het voor jou
mogelijk, harde signalen te comprimeren en zachte signalen naar voren
te laten komen, zonder de klankkwaliteit van het originele signaal te
beïnvloeden.
Een compressor reduceert de dynamiekomvang van een signaal.
Geluidspieken worden verlaagd, waardoor het verschil tussen de luidste
en zachtste passages wordt verminderd. Op die manier krijgt men een
behoorlijk mooier en vollere klank.
1. Bedieningselementen
(1) De LEVEL-regelaar bepaalt het uitgangsvolume.
(2) Met de TONE-regelaar kun je het signaal meer presentie en
duidelijkheid geven.
(3) Met de ATTACK-regelaar bepaal je, hoe snel de compressor op het

Bovendien kun je de batterij-toestandcontroleren.
(6) De voetschakelaar dient voor het activeren/deactiveren van
heteect.
(7) De 6,3-mm IN-monostekkerbus dient voor de aansluiting van het
instrument.
(8) De 6,3-mm OUT-monostekkerbus leidt het signaal verder naar
je versterker.
De DC IN-aansluiting dient voor de aansluiting van een 9 V adapter
(behoort niet tot de levering).
Het BATTERIJVAK bevindt zich onder de voetschakelaar. Om de batterij
te plaatsen of te vervangen, moet u de scharnieren voorzichtig met een
ballpoint samendrukken en het pedaal verwijderen. Let erop, dat u geen
krassen achterlaat.
◊ ◊ De CS400 heeft geen On/O-schakelaar. De CS400 is klaar
voor gebruik, zodra er een kabel in de IN-bus zit. Trek de
stekker uit de IN-bus, wanneer de CS400 niet in gebruik is.
Op die manier verlengt u de levensduur van de batterij.
Het SERIENUMMER bevindt zich aan de onderzijde van het apparaat.
2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Niet gebruiken in de buurt van water of warmtebronnen. Gebruik
uitsluitend geautoriseerde uitbreidingen/originele accessoires. Probeer
nooit zelf het apparaat te repareren. Neem voor reparaties of onderhoud

SUSTAINER CS400. Denna ultimativa eektpedal är speciellt
utvecklad för att skapa en kraftfull kompression och en ändlös
sustain. Tack vare talrika egenskaper är det möjligt för dig att
komprimera kraftiga signaler och framhäva svaga, utan att försämra
originalsignalensklangkvalitet.
En kompressor reducerar en signals dynamikomfång. Ljudnivåspetsar
sänks, så att skillanden mellan de kraftigaste och svagaste passagerna i
en signal, minskas. På detta sätt uppnår man en väsentligt häftigare och
kraftfullare klang.
1. Betjäningsreglage
(1) LEVEL-reglaget bestämmer utgångsljudstyrkan.
(2) Med TONE-reglaget tillför du ytterligare närvaro och klarhet
tillsignalen.
(3) Med ATTACK-reglaget bestämmer du hur snabbt kompressorn
ska reagera på ingångssignalen Attack-tiden är steglöst inställbar.
(4) SUSTAIN-reglaget bestämmer intensiteten på sustain-eekten.
(5) ON/BATT-LED lyser då en eekt är aktiverad. Dessutom kan du
kontrollera batterietillståndet.
(6) Fotomkopplaren tjänar till att aktivera/avaktivera eekten.
(7) 6,3-mm IN-monohylsanslutning med fasthakning tjänar som
anslutning av instrumentet.
(8) 6,3-mm OUT-monohylsanslutning med fasthakning leder
signalen vidare till din förstärkare.
DC IN-Anslutningen tjänar som anslutning av en 9 V adapter (ingår inte
i leveransen).
BATTERIFACKET benner sig under fotkontakten. För att sätta in eller
byta batteriet, trycker man försiktigt med en kulspetspenna samman
länkarna och tar loss pedalen. Se till att inte skrapa apparaten.
◊ ◊ The CS400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert the
jack into the IN connector, the CS400 begins running.
When not using the CS400, remove the jack from the
IN connector. This extends the life of the battery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the bottom.

Dziękujemy za zaufanie, którym obdarzyli Państwo rmę Behringer,
nabywając urządzenie COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400. Ten ultymatywny
pedał efektów został specjalnie skonstruowany do efektownej kompresji i
ciągłego ciepłego wybrzmienia (sustain). Dzięki licznym funkcjom możliwa
jest kompresja głośnych sygnałów i akcentowanie cichych sygnałów,
beznegatywnego wpływu na jakość dźwięku oryginalnego sygnału.
Kompresor redukuje zakres dynamiki sygnału. Szczytowe głośności
są obniżane, wskutek czego redukowana jest różnica między
najgłośniejszymi i najcichszymi fragmentami sygnału. W ten sposób
osiąga się bardzo czyste i wyraziste brzmienie dźwięku.
1. Elementy Obsługi
(1) Regulator LEVEL określa głośność wyjścia.
(2) Za pomocą regulatora TONE nadaje się sygnałowi dodatkowej
czystości i prezencji.
(3) Za pomocą regulatora ATTACK określa się, jak szybko kompresor
reaguje na sygnał wejściowy. CzasAttack jest regulowany płynnie.
(4) Regulator SUSTAIN określa intensywność efektu ciepłego
wybrzmienia.
(5) Dioda ON/BATT świeci się, gdy efekt jest aktywny. Dodatkowo
można sprawdzić poziom naładowania baterii.
(6) Przełącznik nożny służy do aktywacji/dezaktywacji efektu.
(7) Gniazdo mono IN 6,3 mm typu jack służy do podłączenia instrumentu.
(8) Gniazdo mono OUT 6,3 mm typu jack przekazuje sygnał do
wzmacniacza.
Przyłącze DC IN służy do podłączania przejściówki 9V (nie zawiera się
w komplecie).
SCHOWEK NA BATERIE znajduje się pod przełącznikiem nożnym.
Aby włożyć lub wymienić baterię, należy ostrożnie ścisnąć
przeguby długopisem i wyjąć pedał. Zwrócić uwagę na to, aby nie
porysowaćurządzenia.
