1. Introduction:

PersonalPro is a respiratory protective system which is based on the principle of circulated over pressured

air in the hood. The belt-mounted blower unit delivers air through a lilter and via an air hose into a headpiece

(a hood or mask). The supply liltered air creates positive pressure inside the headpiece, which prevents the

external contaminated air lrom entering the user's breathing zone.

2.Approvals:

PersonalPro has been designed and manulactured to comply with EN12941: 1998 as a TH2P R SL device.

8S4275 (Guide to implementing an effective respiratory protective device program), which the user is

advised to read, defines an EN12941 TH2P R SL device as offering an Assigned Protection Factor of 20.

PersonalPro can only provide this level of protection when used with filters provided by the

manufacturer marked " PersonalPro " and "EN12941:1998 TH2P R SL".

The CR-2B01/2013 is certified with the PL-2B01/2013 and GT-2B01/2013 helmets which are certified to EN

175 B.

PersonalPro is manufactured under ISO 9001:2000 Quality System.

3. Preconditions for use:

This Respirator must be used strictly in accordance with this instruction leallet and the instructions supplied

with the corresponding head-units (hoods).

Compulsory Information for the use of a powered respirator with the user must read and understand ail the

following "Instructions for Use" weil to be able to use the respiratory protective system correctly. When the

blower unit is switched off little or no respiratory protection is to be expected. When the blower unit is

switched off a rapid buildup of carbon dioxide and depletion of oxygen within the head unit may occur and so

it is essential not to use the blower unit when it is switched off.

THE UNIT MUST NOT BE USED:

ln an atmosphere that is immediately hazardous to user hygiene or health and or has oxygen content of less

than 17% or contains unknown substances.

In confined spaces or unventilated areas such as tanks, pipes, canals etc.

Near to flames and or sparks ln areas with danger of explosion.

In an area where there are high winds.

If the blower unit stops working due to any reason, the user must leave the contaminated area

immediately.

It is also essential that:

Nothing is allowed to touch the moving parts.

There is no attempt to modify or alter the unit or filter in any way

No water or other Iiquids enter the unit in any way -in particular the motor and fan, the filter or the battery.

Make sure that the headpiece fits the user's face perfectly. Only then the efficiency of the system is sufficient.

The protective factor of the complete system is reduced if the seal of the headpiece is not fitted properly, for

e.g. due to beards or long haïr intervening into the seal line. There is a possibility that the hose to the head

unit may become caught up in use. The blower unit should be positioned on the person in such a way as to

reduce this possibility. Filters cannot be fitted directly to the head units and should not be adapted to do so.

Correct respiratory protection will not be provided if any parts of the equipment are modified At very high

work rates the pressure in the device may become negative at peak inhalation flow PersonalPro systems are

for use only by competent, trained personnel.

Filters should not be modified to fit different blower units.

ATTENTION! If any of these conditions are not kept or followed, the warranty is automatically invalid.

The user is advised to leave the contaminated area immediately if:

The Manufacturer's Minimum Design Flow (MMDF) warning Alarm sounds.

Breathing becomes difficult

Dizziness or distress occurs.

Any part of the system becomes damaged.

Airflow into the Head-Unit decreases or stops.

Contaminant can be smelt or tasted inside the Head-Unit

Materials that may come into contact with the users skin are not known to cause allergie

reactions to the majority of individuals but in the unlikely event of a reaction, the user should

immediately leave the contaminated area, remove the unit and seek medical advice.

4. System Overview:

The PersonalPro unit is a belt mounted powered respirator with a replaceable, disposable high efficiency

particle filter system. The system is certified with the helmets the PL-2B01/2013 and GT-2B01/2013 helmets

and they cover head sizes from 535 to 600mm circumference.

The PersonalPro unit contains a removable 8hr rechargeable battery pack.

The PersonalPro unit will warn the user when the MMOF of 170 Umin, is not achieved with its audible alarm.

ln operation once the alarm sounds, the user must immediately leave the work area and reach an area

norninated to be safe. The unit has visual alarm for a low battery and a multiple alarm audible, visual with

vibration for a blocked or missing filter. Oepending on the fault, the user should replace the Pre Filter with a

new one (In very dusty environments the Pre Filter will need changing frequently) and or re-charge or

change the battery for a fully charged one. If the blocked filter alarm continues to sound the main filter should

be changed. Only when the unit will function with the alarm switched off and the flow rate has been tested to

be acceptable, should the user return to the work place.

The filter has been developed especially for this unit. It is used to filter the air the user will breathe. It is

essential that the user checks the filter for any signs of damage or deformation that could potentially let

contaminated air into the unit. The filter must be disposed of if the filter is damaged or if cloqqed to the point

of triggering the systems alarm mechanism.

The removable rechargeable battery used is a Lithium Ion cel!. When supplied the battery may hoId a small

charge, the unit should be run fiat and then charged for sixteen hours before the first use.

5. Unpacking / Assembly / Usage :

5.1. Unpacking:

Check that the package is complete and that no part is damaged due to the

transport or for other reasons.

A package with the complete system including accessories contains:

1. Blower unit incl. Battery and P R SL Filter and Pre Filter

2. Belt

3. Air hose

4. Air flow indicator

5. Battery charger

6. User Instructions

5.2. Assembly:

Attach the respiratory unit onto the belt: Pass the inner strap through the back of the

blower loops. The pass through the 2 belt loops and then through the buckle.

Fit the battery to the Blower unit.

5.2.1. Waist-Belt Adjustment:

Put the belt around your waist with the blower unit to the back and fasten the two ends together. If

the belt is too loose, siide the male adjuster down the belt, towards the female half. If the belt is too

tight, slide the male adjuster away from the female half.

Repeat the above processes until a comlortable and secure lit is achieved. Once the belt lits correctly, secure

any excess belt material using the Velcro sections.

5.2.2. Particulate Filter:

Use only filters and Pre Filters as supplied by Plymovent. It should first be ascertained by consulting an

occupational hygienist or by calling the manufacturers technical help line as ta whether or not the

PersonalPro Filter will offer suitable protection from the hazard.

The respiratory power unit is equipped with a high efficiency particle filter class PRSL and a Pre Filter. As

soon as the warning alarm sounds, the pre fiIler should be exchanged or checked. In very dusty area's this

can be necessary on a frequent basis.

The filters must be regularly checked (see Air Flow Test) and replaced. Make sure that the new filters are

within their expiry date, unused and not evidently damaged . From the hygienic point of view the maximum

working time of a main filter is 180 hours and should not be exceeded. It is prohibited to clean the filters by

any procedure!

5.2.3. Removing the Filter:

Opening the lilter cover: Grip the blower and pull up the cover Irom the right side 01the blower.

ATTENTION ! lt is strictly forbidden to use any tools to open the filter cover. To remove the lilter, pull it off the

lilter seal while rotating it. Clean the unit trom dust.

5.2.4. Fitting a new Filter:

Inserting a new filter: Put the lilter back into position using the same rotating motion and gently push until it

lits weil on the body of the unit.

Closing the filter Cover; simply snap the cover into place. Pay special attention to snap the caver properly

into the blower. Do not attempt to use the blower unit without the cover litted correctlv.

5.2.5.Changing the Pre Filter

The pre filter is a sleeve which is fitted over the main filter. To remove / replace simply pull off the old filter

and stretch the new one into position. It's important to ensure that the filter media of the main filter is

completely covered by the pre filter

5.2.6.Attaching the Hose to the Blower Unit:

Align the pins of the Hose Sayonet connector with the slots in the air outlet of the blower. Push the bayonet

connector into the blower until it reaches the bottom of the hole and then twist in a clockwise direction until

the locating pins clips into place.

Fitting the hose to the hoods is the same procedure.

5.2.7.Donning theWelding Helmet:

First set the Welding helmets rake and adjust the welding filter to suit personal comfort (See the helmet's

user instructions) Lift the helrnet to it's upper position. Place over the head and adjust the headgear ratchet

wheel by pushing it in and twisting until a satisfactory tightness is achieved. Pull the elasticaîed chin guard

downwards and at the same lime pull the helmet down. Ensure the elasticated chin guard fits comfortably

under the chin. The Welding helmet is now ready for use

5.3. Usage:

Switch on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF burton on the control panel. The airflow can be adjusted by two

arrow-buttons from 180 I/min up to 220 I/min.

The unit ensures a constant supply of air. The microprocessor inside the unit automatically regulates the

motor speed to compensate the filter clogging and the battery state. Il the microprocessor cannot keep the

adjusted airflow, the unit will sound a 'beeping' alarm (an acoustic signal can be heard). At which point the

user must check the blower unit. If possible, the microprocessor automatically reduces the airflow to the next

lower level, if it lails to meet the lower level, the alarm will still sound. When the airflow falls below the

minimum sale operating level, a second audible alarm joins the first and the unit will Vibrate. At this point, the

user must stop working at once, leave the working environment and reach an area nominated to be safe and

change the filter or recharge/change the battery.

To check the battery: When first starting the unit, the battery LED must show red – this shows a fully charged

battery. It is recommended that only a fully charged battery should be used when starting a work shift.

With a fully charged battery in place, the unit should function normally, but if the audible alarm still sounds,

the user must change the filter. If the problem still persists, see chapter 8 for additional suggestions.

6. Before use:

6.1 Inspection before use :

Each time belore starting work check that

All components are in good condition with no visible damage (Iike holes, tears etc) Replace any damaged or

worn parts. Carefully examine the air hose, seals and the face piece.

There is a good connection between the air hose and the headpiece as well as the blower unit.

There is sufficient air flow.(see 6.2.)

The air is supplied through the whole respiratory system from the blower to the hood.

Charge the battery before the first use. (see 6.3.)

6.2. Air Flow Test:

1.Disconnect the air hose fram the Blower unit.

2;Insert the Airflow indicator into the air hose connector and keep the hose in vertical position at about the

eye level.

3.Switch the power unit on. The airflow is sufficient only if the bail indicator reaches the minimum flow rate

level. If the indicator sinks is below the minimum flow rate level, it is necessary to charge the battery or

change the filter. If the problem still persists, see chapter 8 for additional suggestions.

6.3. Batteries:

NOTE! Batteries are delivered only partially charged, Ali batteries must be charged before they are used for

thefirst time.The battery can becharged separately oron the blower unit.

The charger must not be used for any other purpose than that for which it was manufactured. Do not charge

the battery in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The battery charger is intended for indoor use. It must be

protected against damp. The charger controls the charging automatically.

Alter the battery has been charged, the charger switches to the trickle charging regime and keeps the battery

fully charged. The charging time is 6 to 8 hours.

6.3.1. Battery charging:

1.Check that the voltage of the electrical power supply is correct.

2.Plug the charger into the socket.

3.Connect the battery to the charger. The socket of the battery is positioned on the back side.

4.The charging state is indicated by a red LED diode light.

5.After charging has been completed, the trickle charging regime is activated: -red LED Diode goes out, the

green LED diode comes on at the moment of trickle charging.

6.3.2. Battery changing:

Removing the battery: Locate the battery catch. Pull back the battery catch and at the same time the Battery

can be removed by lifting upwards.

Fitting the battery: Make sure the battery is the correct way up (as per 5.2) and then slide into the bower until

the battery catch engages. It is essential that the battery catch is fully locked.

7. Maintenance / Cleaning:

The Blower unit, filler housing and head units must ail be regularly cleaned to keep them in good working

order.

For single users, the units can all be cleaned with a cloth moistened with luke warm water and soap.

For multiple users, the units should be disinfected when passed from one user to another.

The Manufacturer recommends that 'Incidur' from Ecolad GmbH & Co. OHG is used for disinfecting.

Liquids must not be allowed to enter the workings of the blower unit or get on to the element of the filter.

Parts should be allowed to air dry. Under no circumstances should any solvents or abrasive cleaning agents

be used.The unit must not be dried using hot air or radiant heat.

The unit should continue to provide protection to the designed specification for 2 to 3 years, when maintained

in accordance with these instructions. Prior to each use the user should check that the unit is free from

defects, such as cracks, split filters and hoses, cracked visors and helmet components as appropriate

8. Fault finding :

If there is a sudden change in air supply while using the PersonalPro system, it is necessary to check the

following:

That all parts of the air-supply system are assembled properly.

The battery and its connector.

Whether the charger is not faulty or malfunctioning (if so, diodes do not work).

Filters and their clogging.

That there is not a hole in the air hose.

Whether the hood seal is not damaged.

Whether the working time after a full recharging of the battery has not decreased (if so, it is necessary to

replace the battery).

9. Storage and Transportation:

When not in use or during transportation the blower and head units should be stored in the

container in which they were provided, or other similar container, such that it is out of direct sunlight,

not in contact with solvents and cannot be damaged by physical contact with hard suriaces/items.

Do not store outside the temperature range of +O°C to +40°C or with humidity or with humidity above

75%RH

undertakes ta exchange or repair without charge, any part found to be defective within this period.

Alternatively and at it's discretion the Company may replace. This guarantee is subject to:

The PersonalPro unit has been used solely for the purpose for which it is intended.·

The PersonalPro unit has not been subject to misuse, accident, modification or repair.

N.B. In the event of a claim, contact the retailer fram which the PersonalPro unit was purchased.

This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear. This guarantee does not affect your legal

rights.

The PersonalPro battery is guaranteed for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase.

2 - Warnings

Heat and radiation that can cause eye and skin injuries are emitted during the welding process. This product

provides eye and face protection. Appropriate additional safety clothing must be worn to protect the rest of

the body. Some people may suffer allergic reactions to particles and substances that are released during the

welding process. Materials that come into contact with skin may cause allergic reactions to susceptible

persons.

The helmet must always be used with the autodarkening cartridge and suitable lenses. Never use uncertified

autodarkening cartridges or lenses. The helmet is suitable for all of established welding procedures except

for gas and laser welding.

The welding helmet may not be used for overhead welding, since there is a risk of injury from falling melted

metal.

3 - Uses

Head band. Please adjust the upper adjusting strap to your head size. Depress ratchet knob and rotate until

the head band sits firmly yet comfortably.

Eye distance and helmet inclination. The distance between the autodarkening cartridge and the eyes is

adjusted by releasing the locking knobs. Adjust to the same extent at both sides without jamming. Then

retighten the locking knobs.

The helmet inclination can be adjusted using the rotary knob.

Shade level. By turning central knob select a shade level between DIN 9 and DIN 13.

Delay switch. The delay switch allows to select the reaction time of the filter when it changes from dark to

bright

4 - Cleaning

The cartridge and the front cover lens must be cleaned regularly using a soft cloth. No strong cleaning

agents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning agents may be used. Scratched or damaged lenses must be replaced.

5 - Inserting and removing a new protection lens:

o insert the new outer protection lens (4) the filter must be removed by unscrewing the two retaining screws

(8) from the inside of the helmet (1) . The old protection lens can then be removed and the new lens inserted

followed by the light seal cradle (6), the autodarkening cartridge, inner protection lens (5) and then the

minrel glass retaining frame (8) and finally replace the two retaining screws

Installation takes place in the reverse order.

1. Inleiding:

PersonalPro is een ademhalingsbeschermingssysteem dat gebaseerd is op het principe van gecirculeerde

lucht onder overdruk in de helm. Via een filter en een luchtslang voert de blazer aan de riem de nodige lucht

aan naar het kopstuk (helm of masker). De aanvoer van gefilterde lucht zorgt voor overdruk in het kopstuk

en voorkomt dat verontreinigde buitenlucht binnendringt in de ademhalingszone van de gebruiker.

2. Goedkeuringen:

PersonalPro werd als TH2P R SL-toestel ontworpen en geproduceerd conform EN12941: 1998.

De gebruiker wordt aangeraden BS4275 (Leidraad voor de implementatie van een programma voor een

efficiënt ademhalingsbeschermingstoestel) te lezen, waarin een TH2P R SL-toestel conform EN12941 wordt

vooropgesteld met een tegekende beschermingsfactor van 20. PersonalPro kan een dergelijke bescherming

alleen bieden indien het wordt gebruikt in combinatie met filters die door de fabrikant worden voorzien en die

PersonalPro en "EN12941:1998 TH2P R SL" vermelden.

PersonalPro wordt vervaardigd volgens het ISO 9001:2000-kwaliteitssysteem.

3. Gebruiksvoorwaarden:

Dit ademhalingstoestel moet strikt volgens de instructies uit deze handleiding worden gebruikt en volgens de

instructies voor de over enkomstige kopstukken (helmen).

De gebruiker moet alle onder staande "gebruiksaanwijzingen" goed lezen om het

ademhalingsbeschermingstoestel correct te kunnen gebruiken.

Als de blazer uitgeschakeld is, zal het toestel weinig tot geen ademhalingsbescherming bieden. Als de

blazer uitgeschakeld is, kan zich snel koolstofdioxide ophopen en kan het zuurstofgehalte in het kopstuk

snel dalen. Het is van essentieel belang dat de blazer niet wordt gebruikt indien hij uitgeschakeld is .

HET TOESTEL MAG NIET WORDEN GEBRUIKT:

In een atmosfeer die onmiddellijk gevaar oplevert voor de hygiëne of gezondheid van de gebruiker,

die een zuurstofgehalte van minder dan 17% heeft of die onbekende stoffen bevat.

In besloten of niet-geventileerde ruimten zoals tanks, leidingen, kanalen, enz. ln de buurt van vlammen

en/of vonken.

Op plaatsen met explosiegevaar.

Op plaatsen waar een sterke wind staal.

Als de blazer om de een of andere reden stopt met werken, moet de gebruiker de verontreinigde ruimte

onmiddellijk verlaten.

Het is ook van essentieel belang dat:

Niets in contact komt met de bewegende onderdelen

Niet wordt getracht om het toestel of de filter op de een of andere manier aan te passen of te veranderen.

Geen water of andere vloeistoffen binnenin het toestel terecht komen -vooral de motor en ventilator, de

filter of de batterij.

Zorg ervoor dat het kopstuk nauw aansluit op het gelaat van de gebruiker. Alleen dan zal het systeem

voldoende efficiënt werken. De beschermingsfactor van het volledige systeem zal worden verlaagd indien

de dichting van het kopstuk niet goed op zijn plaats zit, bv. door een baard of lang haar tussen de dichting.

Het is ook mogelijk dat de slang naar het kopstuk verstrikt kan raken tijdens het gebruik. De blazer moet

zodanig worden gedragen dat die mogelijkheid wordt beperkt. Een filter kan niet rechtstreeks op het

kopstuk worden gemonteerd en mag ook niet worden aangepast om dat te doen. Een goede

ademhalingsbescherming is niet mogelijk indien onderdelen werden aangepast. ln het geval van een hoog

werktempo kan de druk binnenin het toestel negatief worden indien de gebruiker veel inademt. PersonalPro

systemen mogen enkel door bekwaam, goed opgeleid personeel worden gebruikt. Filters mogen niet aan

andere blazers worden aangepast.

OPGELET ! Als een van deze voorwaarden niet is nageleefd, zal de garantie automatisch

ongeldig zijn.

De gebruiker wordt aangeraden om de verontreinigde ruimte onmiddelliik te verlaten indien:

Indien het MMDF-alarm afgaat (Manufacturer's Minimum Design Flow, door de fabrikant aanbevolen

minimumdebiet). Ademhalen moeilijk wordt. Duizeligheid of ademloosheid optreedt.

Een onderdeel van het systeem beschadigd raakt. De luchtstroom naar het kopstuk afneemt of

stopt. De gebruiker een verontreinigende stof kan ruiken of proeven binnenin het kopstuk.

Materialen die in contact kunnen komen met de huid van de gebruiker, veroorzaken bij de meeste

personen geen allergische reacties, maar indien toch een reactie zou optreden, moet de gebruiker

onmiddellijk de verontreinigde ruimte verlaten, het toestel uittrekken en medische hulp zoeken.

4. Systeemoverzicht:

Het PersonalPro-toestel is een ademhalingstoestel dat aan een riem wordt gedragen, met een

verwisselbare, wegwerpbare, hoogrenderende deeltjesfilter. Het systeem is gecertificeerd met de

helmen uit punt 8 en is geschikt voor een hoofdomtrek van 535 tot 600 mm. Het PersonalPro-toestel bevat

een verwijderbare, oplaadbare batterij, goed voor 8 u. Het PersonalPro-toestel zal de gebruiker

waarschuwen met een geluidsalarm indien een MMDF van 170 L/min niet wordt gehaald. Als het alarm

weerklinkt, moet de gebruiker onmiddellijk de werkruimte verlaten en naar een veilige plek gaan. Het toestel

geeft een visueel alarm wanneer de batterij bijna leeg is en een meervoudig alarm-geluid en trillingen indien

de filter verstopt zit of ontbreekt. Naargelang van de storing moet de gebruiker de voorfilter vervangen (in erg

stofrijke omgevingen moet de voorfilter vaak worden vervangen) en/of de batterij weer opladen of vervangen

door een volledig opgeladen batterij. Indien het alarm voor een verstopte filter blijft klinken, moet de

hoofdfilter worden vervangen. De gebruiker mag pas terugkeren naar de werkplek indien het toestel zonder

alarrn werkt en het debiet aanvaardbaar blijkt, na een test. De filter werd speciaal voor dit toestel ontwikkeld.

Hij filtert de lucht die de gebruiker zal inademen. Het is van essentieel belang dat de gebruiker de filter

controleert op schade of vervorming die verontreinigde lucht kan binnenlaten in het toestel.

De filter moet verwijderd worden indien hij zodanig beschadigd of verstopt ls dat het alarm wordt

geactiveerd. De verwijderbare, oplaadbare batterij is van het type lithium-ion. De batterij kan enigszins

opgeladen zijn bij de levering; het toestel moet dan de batterij volledig opgebruiken, waarna de batterij

zestien uur lang moet worden opgeladen vcor het eerste gebruik.

5. Uitpakken / Montage / Gebruik:

5.1. Uitpakken:

Controleer of de verpakking compleet is en of geen onderdelen beschadigd zijn als gevolg van het

transport of andere redenen. De verpakking met het volledige systeem en accessoires omvat:

1. Blazer met batterij en P R SL-filter en voorfilter

2. Riem

3. Luchtslang

4. Luchtdebietindicator

5. Batterijlader

6. Gebruiksaanwijzing

5.2. Montage:

Maak het ademhalingstoestel vast aan de riem: steek de binnenste band door de lussen van de blazer. Deze

moet door de 2 lussen gaan en vervolgens door de gesp.

Plaats de batterij op de blazer:

5.2.1. De riem aanpassen:

Plaats de riem rond uw middel, met de blazer op uw rug, en maak hem vast. Ais de riem te los zit, moet u de

mannelijke sluiting in de richting van de vrouwelijke sluiting schuiven. Als de riem te strak zit, moet u de

mannelijke sluiting weg van de vrouwelijke sluiting schuiven. Herhaal deze stappen tot de riem comfortabel

en goed op zijn plaats zit. Zodra de riem goed past, kunt u het riemoverschot vastmaken met de klittenband.

5.2.2. De deeltjesfilter:

Gebruik uitsluitend PersonalPro-filters en -voorfilters die door Plymovent worden geleverd. Raadpleeg eerst

een arbeidshygiënist of bel eerst naar de technische hulplijn van de fabrikant om te weten te komen of de

PersonalPro-filter voldoende bescherming biedt tegen het gevaar in uw werkomgeving. Het aangedreven

ademhalingstoestel is uitgerust met een hoogrenderende deeltjesfilter van klasse P R SL en een voorfilter.

Van zodra u een waarschuwingsalarm hoort, moet de voorfilter worden vervangen of gecontroleerd.

In zeer stofrijke omgevingen kan dat vaak nodig zijn. De filters moeten regelmatig worden gecontroleerd (zie

de luchtdebiettest) en vervangen.

Zorg ervoor dat de nieuwe filters nog niet vervallen zijn, dat ze nog niet eerder gebruikt werden en niet

zichtbaar beschadigd zijn. Om hygiënische redenen mag de hoofdfilter maximaal 180 uur worden gebruikt.

De filters mogen niet worden gereinigd, op geen enkele manier:

5.2.3. De tilter verwijderen:

De tilterkap openen: houdt de blazer goed vast en trek aan de rechterkant aan de afdekkap.

OPGELETI Het is ten strengste verboden om de filterkap te verwijderen met gereedschap.

Om de filter te verwijderen moet u hem van de filterdichting trekken met een draaiende beweging.

Verwijder alle stof uit het toestel.

5.2.4. Een nieuwe filter plaatsen:

Een nieuwe filter plaatsen: zet de filter op zijn plaats met dezelfde draaiende beweging en druk er

zachtjes op tot hij goed op de behuizing van het toestel aansluit.

De filterkap sluiten: klik de afdekkap op zijn plaats. Let er vooral op dat de afdekkap goed vastklikt

op de blazer. Gebruik de blazer niet ais de afdekkap niet goed op zijn plaats zit.

5.2.5. De voorfilter vervangen

De voorfilter is een mof die over de hoofdfilter past. Om hem te verwijderen 1vervangen moet u de

oude filter verwijderen en de nieuwe filter op zijn plaats zetten. Belangrijk: het filtermedium van de

hoofdfilter moet volledig bedekt zijn door de voorfilter.

5.2.6 . De luchtslang aan de blazer bevestigen :

Plaats de pennen van de bajonetfitting van de slang op één lijn met de gaatjes van de luchtuitlaat

van de blazer. Druk de bajonetfitting in de blazer tot ze helemaal in de gaatjes zit; draai met de wÿzers van

de klok mee tot de pennen op hun plaats vallen.

Dezelfde procedure moet worden gevolgd om de slang aan het kopstuk te bevestigen.

5.2.7. De lashelm opzetten:

Stel eerst de lashelm af en pas de lasfilter aan (zie de gebruiksaanwijzing voor de helm). Zet de helm in de

hoogste stand. Plaats de helm over uw hoofd en regel het kopstuk bij tot het voldoende aansluit. Trek de

plastic kinbeschermer naar beneden, tegelijk met de helm. Zorg ervoor dat de plastic kinbeschermer

comfortabel onder uw kin past.

De lashelm is nu klaar voor gebruik.

5.3. Gebruik:

Schakel het toestel in met de ON/OFF-knop op het bedieningspaneel. Het luchtdebiet kan met de

twee pijltoetsen worden geregeld van 180 I/min tot 220 I/min.

De voorfilter is een mof die over de hoofdfilter past. Het toestel zorgt voor een constante luchtaanvoer. De

microprocessor binnenin het toestel past automatisch de motorsnelheid aan de vervuilingsgraad van de filter

en de status van de batterij aan. Als de microprocessor het ingestelde luchtdebiet niet kan leveren, zal een

'pieptoon' weerklinken (een hoorbaar geluidssignaal). De gebruiker moet dan de blazer controleren. Indien

mogelijk zal de microprocessor het luchtdebiet automatisch een niveau verlagen; het alarm blijft weerklinken

als ook het lagere niveau niet kan worden gehaald. Als het luchtdebiet tot onder het minimale veilige niveau

zakt, weerklinkt een tweede geluidsalarm, naast het eerste, en zal het toestel trillen. De gebruiker moet dan

onmiddellijk stoppen met werken, de werkomgeving verlaten, naar een veilige plek gaan en de filter

vervangen of de batterij vervangen/weer opladen.

De batterij controleren: als het toestel voor de eerste maal wordt opgestart, zullen enkele LED's rood

oplichten. Het is aangeraden om enkel met een volledig opgeladen batterij aan een shift te beginnen.

Als een volledig opgeladen batterij geplaatst is, zou het toestel normaal moeten werken. Ais het geluidsalarm

nog altijd weerklinkt, moet de gebruiker de filter vervangen. Als het probleem aanhoudt, moet u hoofdstuk 8

raadplegen voor meer informatie.

6. Alvorens te gebruiken:

6.1 Inspectie voor gebruik :

Controleer voor u begint te werken of:

· alle onderdelen in goed werkende staat zijn, zonder zichtbare schade (bv. gaten, scheuren, enz.). Vervang

eventueel beschadigde of versleten onderdelen. Controleer zorgvuldig de luchtslang, slang, dichtingen en

het gelaatsmasker.

· er een goede verbinding is tussen de luchtslang en het kopstuk, alsook de blazer.

· er voldoende luchtdebiet is (zie 6.2.).

· de lucht door het hele ademhalingstoestel stroomt, van de blazer naar het kopstuk. Laad de batterij voor

het eerste gebruik (zie 6.3.).

6.2. Luchtdebiettest:

1. Koppel de luchtslang los van de blazer.

2. Steek de luchtdebietindicator in de connector van de luchtslang en houd de slang verticaal, op ooghoogte.

3. Schakel het toestel in. Het luchtdebiet volstaat enkel als het balletje tot aan het minimale debiet komt. Als

de indicator tot onder het minimale debiet zakt, moet de batterij worden opgeladen of de filter vervangen. Als

het probleem aanhoudt, moet u hoofdstuk 8 raadplegen voor meer informatie.

6.3. Batterijen:

OPGELET ! Batterijen worden deels opgeladen geleverd. Alle batterijen moeten volledig worden opgeladen

alvorens ze voor de eerste maal te gebruiken. De batterij kan apart worden opgeladen of in de blazer. De

lader mag enkel worden gebruikt voor de doeleinden waarvoor hij bestemd is. Laad de batterij niet op in een

potentieel explosieve atmosfeer. De batterijlader is bedoeld voor gebruik binnenshuis. Hij moet tegen

vochtigheid worden beschermd. De lader regelt automatisch het opladen. Zodra de batterij is opgeladen,

schakelt de lader over op het druppelladen om ervoor te zorgen dat de batterij volledig opgeladen blijft. De

oplaadduur bedraagt 6 - 8 uur.

6.3.1. Batterijen opladen :

1. Controleer of het stroomnet de juiste spanning heeft.

2. Steek de lader in het stopcontact. En ontkoppel het laadsnoer van de batterij.

3. Sluit de batterij aan op de lader. Het contact van de batterij bevindt zich aan de achterzijde.

Een rood LED-Iampje geeft aan in hoeverre de batterij is opgeladen.

4. Zodra het opladen klaar is, schakelt de lader over op het druppelladen: het rode LED-Iampje gaat

uit, het groene LED-Iampje brandt tijdens het druppelladen.

5. Trek de lader uit het stopcontact.

6.3.2. Batterijen vervangen:

De batterij verwijderen: Zoek de batterijgrendel. Trek aan de batterijgrendel; de batterij kan tegelijkertijd

worden verwijderd door ze omhoog le tillen.

De batterij plaatsen: zorg ervoor dat de batterij in de goede richting wijst (zie 5.2) en schuif ze erin tot ze

vastklikt. Het is van essentieel belang dat de batterijgrendel volledig op slot is.

7. Onderhoud / Schoonmaak:

De blazer, filterbehuizing en kopstukken moelen allemaal regelmatig worden schoongemaakt met het oog op

de goede werking ervan. Als het door één enkele persoon worden gebruikt, volstaat het om het toestel met

een vochtige doek, lauw water en zeep schoon te maken. Als ze door diverse personen worden gebruikt,

moeten de toestellen worden ontsmet alvorens ze worden doorgegeven.

De fabrikant raadt aan om 'Incidur' van Ecolad GmbH & Co. OHG le gebruiken om de toestellen te

ontsmetten. Vloeistoffen mogen niet in contact komen met het binnenwerk van de blazer of het filterelement.

Onderdelen moeten in de lucht worden gedroogd. In geen geval mogen oplosmiddelen of schuurmiddelen

worden gebruikt. Het toestel mag niet met warme lucht of stralingswarmte worden gedroogd. Indien het

toestel volgens deze instructies wordt onderhouden, zou het 2 - 3 jaar lang bescherming moeten bieden.

Voor elk gebruik moet de gebruiker controleren of het toestel vrij is van gebreken, zoals barsten, kapotte

filters en slangen, gebarsten vizieren en helmonderdelen.

8. Probleemoplossing:

ln geval van een plotselinge verandering in de luchttoevoer tijdens het gebruik van het PersonalPro

systeem, moet u hel volgende controleren:

Of alle onderdelen van het luchttoevoersysteem goed gemonteerd zijn. ·

De batterij en de connector. ·

Of de lader geen storingen of gebreken vertoont (zo ja, dan werken de diodes niet). ·

De filters en eventuele verstoppingen. ·

Of er geen gat in de luchtslang zit. ·

Of de dichting van het kopstuk niet beschadigd is. ·

Of de werkduur na het volledig opladen van de batterij niet is verminderd (zo ja, dan moet de batterij worden

vervangen).

9. Opslag en Transport :

Wanneer de blazer en kopstukken niet worden gebruikt of vervoerd, moeten ze worden opgeslagen in hun

verpakking, of in een andere verpakking, om rechtstreeks zonlicht, contact met oplosmiddelen of schade

door fysiek contact met harde oppervlakken/voorwerpen te vermijden. Sla ze niet op buiten een

temperatuurbereik van +O°C tot +40°C of bij een vochtigheidsgraad van meer dan 75%.

termijn defect blijkt te zijn, kosteloos om te ruilen of te herstellen. Als alternatief en naar eigen goeddunken

kan de onderneming ook besluiten om dergelijke onderdelen te vervangen.
