MAINTENANCE & CARE

 Periodically clean FILM 2 SD PRO's glass surface

with a dry cotton swab to ensure it produces a clear

image during operation.

 Use the included cleaning brush to remove dust from

FILM 2 SD PRO's backlight.

 We recommend cleaning your film (and FILM 2 SD

PRO's trays) before inserting it into the scanner so

dust or dirt does not mar the image. If you do not

have the materials to do this properly, consult a

professional film store.

USING THE INLCUDED HOLDERS

SLIDE HOLDER

1. Open the film holder by lifting the tab on the bottom.

2. Insert the slide(s) into the slide slot(s) or lay the negative over the negative slot.

3. Close the film holder. Be sure the latch and sides of the holder are securely in place.

ROLL FILM HOLDER

1. Lay the film holder flat.

2. Insert one end of the roll of film in the slot on the right-hand side of the holder.

3. Gently push/pull the roll of film through the holder to move from picture to picture.

Tip: To avoid laying a negative in the wrong direction (which will produce a mirror image),

be sure you can correctly read the serial numbers at the top of the negative when placing

it in the holder.

Note: If the image is scanned upside down or mirrored, you can also correct this later by

using the "flip" or "mirror" feature in Playback / Edit Mode. See "Playback / Edit Mode" in the

OPERATIONS & FEATURES section for more information.

RAPID SLIDE FEEDER

1. With the lever all the way to the right, stack your slides in the rapid slide feeder.

2. Place the rapid slide feeder into the FILM HOLDER SLOT.

3. Push the lever towards the left, then pull the lever back to the right again to load a slide

from the feeder into FILM 2 SD PRO. Repeat this step for subsequent slides (which will

push the used slides out the other side).

QUICKSTART

1. Connect FILM 2 SD PRO to your computer's USB port or to a power outlet with the

included power adapter.

2. Turn on the FILM 2 SD PRO with the POWER button.

3. Place your slide(s) or negative into the appropriate holder. (Be sure the latch and sides of

the holder are securely in place.)

4. Insert the holder into the FILM HOLDER SLOT.

5. Insert your SD card with the label facing down into the SD CARD SLOT. When you save

your scanned images, they will be stored on the SD card.

6. Capture your image by pressing the OK button.

7. Press the OK button again to save the image.

To transfer your images from the SD card to your computer:

1. Turn FILM 2 SD PRO off then on again, using the power button.

2. On the Main Menu, use the LEFT / DOWN and RIGHT / UP buttons to select the

USB icon, then press the OK button.

Note: While FILM 2 SD PRO is in USB Mode, you will not be able to scan other pictures.

To enable scanning again, turn off FILM 2 SD PRO, then turn it on again and enter

Capture Mode.

3. FILM 2 SD PRO will appear as a "FILM2SDPRO" in My Computer (Windows) or on your

Desktop (Mac). Open it, then click and drag the files of your pictures onto your

computer's hard drive.

4. When you are finished, press FILM 2 SD PRO's power button to turn it off.

To remove the SD card to view your images elsewhere:

1. Turn FILM 2 SD PRO off by pressing the power button.

2. Eject your SD card by pushing it in first, then pulling it out of the slot.

3. To view your pictures, insert the SD card into an SD-compatible device, such as a digital

picture frame, computer, or television.

Note: To view your images on your TV instead of FILM 2 SD PRO's DISPLAY, connect

FILM 2 SD PRO's TV OUTPUT to your TV's video input with the included TV output

cable.

OPERATION & FEATURES

When viewing any menus with multiple options, you can use the RIGHT / UP and LEFT /

DOWN buttons to move through them and press the OK button to select one.

MAIN MENU

1. Capture Mode: Allows you to capture images. FILM 2 SD

PRO will enter Capture Mode automatically if no buttons

are pressed for five seconds.

2. Playback Mode: Allows you to view your images.

3. Film Type: Select the kind of film you are using.

4. USB Mode: Allows you to transfer your images to a

connected computer via USB. Once your images are on

your computer, you can view and edit them as you wish.

5. Settings Mode: Allows you to set FILM 2 SD PRO to display your images on a TV

(connected to the TV OUTPUT) or to format an inserted SD card (or FILM 2 SD PRO's

internal memory).

If there is no SD card in the SD CARD SLOT, a "?" icon will appear on the screen.

 Capture Mode

When in Capture Mode, a red indicator in the upper left-hand

corner will indicate FILM 2 SD PRO is ready to capture the

image shown in the display. You can press OK to capture

the

image, or you can access the following menus:

Note: FILM 2 SD PRO will automatically detect the appropriate

color and brightness for the images you are capturing. However,

you can use the manual color/brightness feature described here

for further adjustments.

1. Color / Brightness: Press the LEFT / DOWN button to

access the following submenu:

a. Color: Press the LEFT / DOWN button to adjust

FILM 2 SD PRO's color balance.

i. The first screen will let you adjust the

amount of red seen in your captured images. Use the LEFT / DOWN and

RIGHT / UP buttons to select the value, then press OK.

ii. The second screen will let you adjust the amount of green seen in your

captured images. Use the LEFT / DOWN and RIGHT / UP buttons to

select the value, then press OK.

iii. The third screen will let you adjust the amount of blue seen in your

captured images. Use the LEFT / DOWN and RIGHT / UP buttons to

select the value, then press OK.

b. Brightness: Press the RIGHT / UP button to adjust FILM 2 SD PRO's brightness.

Use the LEFT / DOWN and RIGHT / UP buttons to

select the value, then press OK.

2. Flip / Mirror: Press the RIGHT / UP button to access the

following submenu:

a. Flip: Press the LEFT / DOWN button to flip the

image upside-down. Press OK when finished.

b. Mirror: Press the RIGHT / UP button to flip the

image left-to-right. Press OK when finished.

Once an image is captured, you will see the following menu

options:

1. Save: Saves the captured image.

2. Rotate Right: Rotates the image clockwise by 90°.

3. Rotate Left: Rotates the image counterclockwise

by 90°.

4. Cancel: Cancels editing without saving the image

to the SD card.

5. Home: Returns to the Main Menu.

After selecting Save or Cancel, you can move the film holder to the next image you want to

capture. Once the SD card is full, a "FULL" icon will appear on the screen. Either transfer the

contents of the SD card to your computer or insert an SD card with available memory.

 Playback / Edit Mode

When you enter Playback/Edit Mode, your captured images

will be displayed in a slideshow, allowing you to preview and/or

edit them. To stop the slideshow, press the OK button.

With the slideshow stopped, you can use the RIGHT / UP and

LEFT / DOWN buttons to move through your saved images

one by one. Press the OK button to select one to edit.

In Playback/Edit Mode, you will see the following menu options.

1. Rotate Right: Rotates the image clockwise by 90°.

2. Rotate Left: Rotates the image counterclockwise by 90°.

3. Mirror: Flips the image left-to-right.

4. Flip: Flips the image upside-down.

5. Exit: Returns to the slideshow.

6. Delete: Deletes the image from the SD card.

7. Save: Saves the captured image.

8. Home: Returns to the Main Menu.

If there are no images saved to the SD card while in Playback Mode, a "?" icon will appear on

the screen.

 Film Type

Here, select the type of film you have placed in the film holder.

 USB Mode

USB Mode allows you to transfer images from your SD card directly

to your computer. While in USB Mode, FILM 2 SD PRO becomes an

SD card reader for your computer.

To enter USB mode:

1. Connect FILM 2 SD PRO to your computer's USB port with the

included USB cable and press FILM 2 SD PRO's power button

to turn it on.

2. On the Main Menu, use the LEFT / DOWN and RIGHT / UP buttons to select the

USB icon (shown here), then press the OK button.

Note: While FILM 2 SD PRO is in USB Mode, you will not be able to scan other pictures.

To enable scanning again, turn off FILM 2 SD PRO, then turn it on again and enter

Capture Mode.

3. FILM 2 SD PRO will appear as "FILM2SDPRO" in My Computer (Windows) or on your

Desktop (Mac). (If you are using an SD card formatted by another device, it may show

up with a different name.) Open it, then click and drag the files of your pictures onto your

computer's hard drive.

4. When you are finished, press FILM 2 SD PRO's power button to turn it off.

 Settings Mode

In Settings Mode, you will see the following menu options.

1. TV: When FILM 2 SD PRO's TV OUTPUT is connected to your

TV's video input, you can display your images on your TV

monitor. In this menu, select TV, then select the proper format

for your country – (a) PAL or (b) NTSC. (Residents of North

America, Central America, some parts of South America, and

Japan should select NTSC. Most others should select PAL.)

2. Format: You can select the "checkbox" icon (c) to format an

SD card, erasing its contents, or select

cancel (d) to cancel this process. If no

SD card is inserted into the SD CARD

SLOT, the images on FILM 2 SD

PRO's internal memory will be erased.

3. Cancel: Returns to the Main Menu.

MANTENIMIENTO Y CUIDADO

 Limpie periódicamente la superficie de vidrio del

FILM 2 SD PRO con un hisopo de algodón seco

para asegurar que produzca una imagen clara

durante el funcionamiento.

 Use el cepillo de limpieza incluido para limpiar el

CÓMO USAR LOS SOPORTES INCLUIDOS

SOPORTE DE DIAPOSITIVAS

1. Abra el soporte de diapositivas levantando la lengüeta de la parte inferior.

2. Inserte las diapositivas en las ranuras para las mismas.

3. Cierre el soporte de diapositivas. Asegúrese de que la traba y los costados del soporte

estén colocados firmemente en su sitio.

ALIMENTADOR DE ROLLO DE NEGATIVOS

1. Coloque el rollo de negativos en forma plana.

2. Inserte un extremo del rollo de película en la ranura del lado derecho del soporte.

3. Empuje o tire con delicadeza del rollo de película a través del soporte para pasar de foto

a foto.

Consejo: Para evitar colocar el negativo en sentido incorrecto (lo que produciría una

imagen espejada), asegúrese de que pueda leer correctamente los números de serie de

la parte superior del mismo cuando lo coloca en el soporte.

Nota: Si la imagen se escanea en forma invertida o espejada, también puede corregirlo

usando los botones FLIP (Invertir) o MIRROR (Espejo) en modo de reproducción / edición.

ALIMENTADOR RÁPIDO DE DIAPOSITIVAS

1. Con la palanca totalmente a la derecha, apile las diapositivas en el alimentador rápido.

2. Coloque el alimentador rápido de diapositivas en la RANURA DEL SOPORTE DE

PELÍCULA.

3. Empuje la palanca hacia la izquierda y luego de regreso a la derecha para cargar una

diapositiva del alimentador en el FILM 2 SD PRO. Repita este paso para las diapositivas

siguientes (que empujarán a las usadas hacia afuera del otro lado).

INICIO RÁPIDO

1. Conecte el FILM 2 SD PRO al puerto USB de su computadora o a un tomacorriente con

el adaptador de alimentación incluido.

2. Encienda el FILM 2 SD PRO con el botón POWER (Encendido).

3. Coloque la o las diapositivas o el negativo en el soporte apropiado. Asegúrese de que la

traba y los costados del soporte estén colocados firmemente en su sitio.

4. Inserte el soporte en la RANURA PARA SOPORTE DE LA PELÍCULA.

5. Inserte la tarjeta SD en la RANURA PARA TARJETA SD. Inserte su tarjeta SD con el

rótulo mirando hacia abajo en la RANURA PARA LA TARJETA SD. Cuando guarde sus

imágenes escaneadas, se almacenarán en la tarjeta SD.

6. Capture la imagen pulsando el botón OK (Aceptar).

7. Pulse nuevamente este botón para guardar la imagen.

Para transferir las imágenes de la tarjeta SD a la computadora:

1. Apague el FILM 2 SD PRO y luego enciéndalo nuevamente con el botón de encendido.

2. En el menú principal, use los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA / ARRIBA

para seleccionar el icono de USB y luego pulse el botón OK (Aceptar).

Nota: Cuando el FILM 2 SD PRO está en modo USB, no es posible escanear otras

fotografías. Para volver a habilitar el escaneo, apague el FILM 2 SD PRO, enciéndalo

nuevamente y entre al modo de captura.

3. El FILM 2 SD PRO aparece como "FILM2SDPRO" en "My Computer" (Mi PC) (Windows)

o en Desktop (Escritorio) (Mac). Ábralo y luego haga clic y arrastre los archivos de sus

fotos al disco duro de la computadora.

4. Cuando termine, pulse el botón de encendido del FILM 2 SD PRO para apagarlo.

Para retirar la tarjeta SD a fin de ver las imágenes en otro lugar:

1. Apague el FILM 2 SD PRO pulsando el botón de encendido.

2. Expulse la tarjeta SD empujándola primero y luego tirando de ella para extraerla de la

ranura.

3. Para ver las fotos, insértela en un dispositivo compatible con SD, como un marco de

imágenes digitales, computadora o televisor.

FUNCIONAMIENTO Y CARACTERÍSTICAS

Cuando vea menús con varias opciones, puede usar los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA /

ARRIBA para recorrerlas y pulse el botón OK (Aceptar) para seleccionar una.

MAIN MENU (Menú principal)

1. Capture Mode (Modo de captura): Permite capturar imágenes.

FILM 2 SD PRO entra automáticamente al modo de captura si

no se pulsa ningún botón durante cinco segundos.

2. Playback Mode (Modo de reproducción): Permite ver las

imágenes.

3. Film Type (Tipo de película): Para seleccionar el tipo de

película que va a usar.

4. USB Mode (Modo USB): Permite transferir sus imágenes a

una computadora conectada vía USB. Una vez que sus imágenes estén en la computadora,

puede verlas y editarlas como desee.

5. Modo de configuración: Permite configurar el FILM 2 SD PRO para mostrar las imágenes en

un televisor (conectado a la SALIDA PARA TV) o para formatear una tarjeta SD insertada (o la

memoria interna del FILM 2 SD PRO).

Si no hay una tarjeta SD conectada en la ranura para dicha tarjeta,

aparece en la pantalla un icono "?".

 Modo de Captura

En modo de captura, un indicador rojo de la esquina superior

izquierda indica que el FILM 2 SD PRO está listo para capturar la

imagen mostrada en la pantalla. Puede pulsar OK para capturar

imagen o acceder a los siguientes menús:

Nota: El FILM 2 SD PRO detecta automáticamente el color y el brillo

apropiados para las imágenes que está capturando. No obstante,

puede usar la función de brillo/color manual aquí descrita para

realizar ajustes ulteriores.

1. Color / Brillo: Pulse el botón IZQUIERDA / ABAJO para

acceder al siguiente submenú:

a. Color: Pulse el botón IZQUIERDA / ABAJO para ajustar

el balance de color del FILM 2 SD PRO.

i. La primera pantalla le permite ajustar la cantidad de rojo que se ve en sus

imágenes capturadas. Use los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA /

ARRIBA para seleccionar el valor y luego pulse OK.

ii. La segunda

pantalla le permite ajustar la cantidad de verde que se ve en sus

imágenes capturadas. Use los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA /

ARRIBA para seleccionar el valor y luego pulse OK.

iii. La tercera

pantalla le permite ajustar la cantidad de azul que se ve en sus imágenes

capturadas. Use los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA / ARRIBA para

seleccionar el valor y luego pulse OK.

b. Brillo: Pulse el botón DERECHA / ARRIBA para ajustar el brillo del FILM 2 SD PRO. Use

los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA / ARRIBA para seleccionar el valor y luego

pulse OK.

2. Invertir / Espejo: Pulse el botón DERECHA / ARRIBA para

acceder al siguiente submenú:

a. Invertir: Pulse el botón IZQUIERDA / ABAJO para

invertir la imagen en dirección vertical. Pulse OK

cuando termine.

b. Espejo: Pulse el botón DERECHA / ARRIBA para

invertir la imagen de derecha a izquierda. Pulse OK

cuando termine.

Una vez capturada una imagen, vera las siguientes opciones del

menú:

1. Save (Guardar): Permite guardar la imagen capturada.

2. Rotate Right (Girar a la derecha): Gira la imagen 90°

en sentido horario.

3. Rotate Left (Girar a la izquierda): Gira la imagen 90°

en sentido antihorario.

4. Cancel (Cancelar): Cancela la edición sin guardar la

imagen en la tarjeta SD.

5. Home (Inicio): Permite volver al menú principal.

Después de seleccionar Save o Cancel, puede mover el soporte para la película a la imagen siguiente

que desea capturar. Una vez que la tarjeta SD se llena, aparece el icono "FULL" (Lleno) en la

pantalla. Transfiera el contenido de la tarjeta SD a la computadora o inserte una tarjeta SD con

memoria disponible.

 Modo de Reproducción y Edición

Cuando se entra al modo Playback/Edit

(Reproducción/Edición), sus imágenes capturadas aparecerán

en modo de "show", permitiéndole visualizarlas previamente

y/o editarlas. Para detener la reproducción, pulse el botón

OK.

Una vez detenida la reproducción, puede usar los botones

IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA / ARRIBA para recorrer las imágenes guardadas una por

una. Pulse el botón OK para seleccionar la que desea editar.

En modo Playback/Edit, verá las siguientes opciones de menú.

1. Rotate Right (Girar a la derecha): Gira la imagen 90° en sentido horario.

2. Rotate Left (Girar a la izquierda): Gira la imagen 90° en sentido antihorario.

3. Mirror (Espejo): Invierte la imagen de izquierda a derecha.

4. Flip (Invertir): Invierte la imagen de arriba abajo.

5. Exit (Salir): Vuelve a la reproducción de diapositivas.

6. Delete (Eliminar): Permite eliminar la imagen de la tarjeta SD.

7. Save (Guardar): Permite guardar la imagen capturada.

8. Home (Inicio): Permite volver al menú principal.

Si no hay imágenes guardadas en la tarjeta SD mientras se está en modo de reproducción,

aparece un icono "?" en la pantalla.

 Film Type (Tipo de película)

Seleccione aquí el tipo de película que colocó en el soporte

para la película.

1. Color Negative (Negativo color)

2. Slide (Diapositiva)

3. Black & White Negative (Negativo blanco y negro)

 USB Mode (Modo USB)

El modo USB le permite transferir imágenes desde la tarjeta SD

directamente a su computadora. Cuando está en modo USB, el FILM 2

SD PRO se convierte en un lector de tarjetas SD para su computadora.

Para entrar al modo USB:

1. Conecte el FILM 2 SD PRO al puerto USB de la computadora con el

cable USB incluido y pulse el botón de encendido del FILM 2 SD

PRO para encenderlo.

2. En el menú principal, use los botones IZQUIERDA / ABAJO y DERECHA / ARRIBA para

seleccionar el icono de USB (mostrado aquí) y luego pulse el botón OK (Aceptar).

Nota: Cuando el FILM 2 SD PRO está en modo USB, no es posible escanear otras fotografías.

Para volver a habilitar el escaneo, apague el FILM 2 SD PRO, enciéndalo nuevamente y entre al

modo de captura.

3. El FILM 2 SD PRO aparece como "FILM2SDPRO"

en "My Computer" (Mi PC) (Windows) o en

Desktop (Escritorio) (Mac). (Si está utilizando una tarjeta SD con formato por otro dispositivo,

puede aparecer con un nombre diferente.) Ábralo y luego haga clic y arrastre los archivos de

sus fotos al disco duro de la computadora.

4. Cuando termine, pulse el botón de encendido del FILM 2 SD PRO para apagarlo.

 Modo de configuración

En modo de configuración, verá las siguientes opciones de menú.

1. TV: Cuando la salida TV del FILM 2 SD PRO está conectada a la

entrada de video del televisor, podrá mostrar las imágenes en este

último. En este menú, seleccione TV y luego el formato apropiado

para su país – (a) PAL o (b) NTSC. (Los residentes en América del

Norte, América Central, algunas partes de América del Sur y Japón

deben seleccionar NTSC. La mayoría de los demás deben

seleccionar PAL.)

2. Formato: Puede seleccionar el icono de la

“casilla de selección” (c) para formatear

una tarjeta SD, borrar su contenido o

seleccione cancelar (d) para cancelar este

proceso. Si no hay una tarjeta SD

insertada en la RANURA PARA TARJETA

SD, se borrarán las imágenes de la

memoria interna del FILM 2 SD PRO.

3. Cancelar: Permite volver al menú principal.

ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE

 Nettoyez périodiquement la surface vitrée du FILM 2

SD PRO avec un tampon sec afin de vous assurer

qu'il produise une image nette durant l'utilisation.

 Utilisez la brosse incluse pour enlever la poussière

du rétroéclairage du FILM 2 SD PRO.

 Nous vous recommandons de nettoyer le film et les

plateaux du FILM 2 SD PRO avant de les insérer

dans le numériseur afin que la poussière ou la saleté

viennent gâter l'image. Si vous n'avez pas le matériel

adéquat pour faire le nettoyage, consultez votre

détaillant de produit professionnel.

Remarque: Insérez une carte mémoire flash, étiquette vers le bas, dans la fente pour carte mémoire flash.

Pour éjecter la carte mémoire, enfoncez-la d'abord, puis retirez-la de la fente.

Remarque : Pour visionner les images sur votre téléviseur au lieu de sur l'écran du FILM 2 SD PRO, raccordez

la sortie téléviseur (TV OUTPUT) du FILM 2 SD PRO à l'entrée vidéo de votre téléviseur à l'aide du câble de

sortie téléviseur.

UTILISATION DES SUPPORTS

PORTE-DIAPOSITIVES

1. Ouvrir le porte-diapositive en levant l’onglet du dessous.

2. Faites glisser la ou les diapositives dans les emplacements.

3. Fermez le porte-diapositive. Assurez-vous que le fermoir et les côtés du porte-diapositive

sont bien fermés.

SUPPORT POUR ROULEAU DE PELLICULE

1. Placez le support pour rouleau de pellicule à plat.

2. Insérez l’extrémité du rouleau de pellicule dans la fente droite du support.

3. Faites passer le rouleau de pellicule doucement dans le support afin de déplacer la

pellicule image par image.

Conseil : Afin d’éviter de placer le négatif dans la mauvaise position (image inversée),

vérifiez que vous pouvez lire correctement les numéros de série dans le haut du négatif.

Remarqu

: Si l’image est balayée à l’envers ou est inversée, vous pourrez la corriger dans

une étape ultérieure à l’aide des touches FLIP ou MIRROR en mode Playback/Edit. Voir les

modes Playback/Edit dans la section CARACTÉRISTIQUES ET FONCTIONNEMENT pour

de plus amples renseignements.
