MODELS 231H AND 231H-2 HEAVY-DUTY

AUTOMOTIVE IMPACT WRENCHES

Model 231H and 231H-2 Impact Wrenches are designed for use in general automotive repair,

body shops, front end service and light truck and farm equipment applications.

Ingersoll-Rand is not responsible for customer modification of tools for applications on which

Ingersoll-Rand was not consulted.

PLACING TOOL IN SERVICE

• Always operate, inspect and maintain this tool in

accordance with all regulations (local, state,

federal and country), that may apply to hand

held/hand operated pneumatic tools.

• For safety, top performance, and maximum

durability of parts, operate this tool at 90 psig

(6.2 bar/620 kea) maximum air pressure at the

inlet with 3/8" (10 mm) inside diameter air supply

hose.

• Always turn off the air supply and disconnect the

air supply hose before installing, removing or

adjusting any accessory on this tool, or before

performing any maintenance on this tool.

• Do not use damaged, frayed or deteriorated air

hoses and fittings.

• Be sure all hoses and fittings are the correct size

and are tightly secured. See Dwg. TPD905-1 for a

typical piping arrangement.

• Keep clear of whipping air hoses. Shut off the

compressed air before approaching a whipping air

hose.

• Always use clean, dry air at 90 psig (6.2 bar/620

kPa) maximum air pressure. Dust, corrosive fumes

and/or excessive moisture can ruin the motor of an

air tool.

• Do not lubricate tools with flammable or volatile

liquids such as kerosene, diesel or jet fuel.

• Do not remove any labels. Replace any damaged

label.

USING THE TOOL

• Always wear eye protection when operating or

performing maintenance on this tool.

• Always wear hearing protection when operating

this tool.

• Note the position of the reversing lever before

operating the tool so as to be aware of the direction

of rotation when operating the throttle.

• Keep hands, loose clothing, long hair and jewelry

away from working end of tool.

• Keep body stance balanced and firm. Do not

overreach when operating this tool. Anticipate and

be alert for sudden changes in motion, reaction

torques, or forces during start-up and operation.

• Tool shaft may continue to rotate briefly after

throttle is released.

• Air powered tools can vibrate in use. Vibration,

repetitive motions or uncomfortable positions may

be harmful to your hands and arms. Stop using

any tool if discomfort, tingling feeling or pain

occurs. Seek medical advice before resuming use.

• Use accessories recommended by Ingersoll-Rand.

• Use only impact sockets and accessories. Do not

use hand (chrome) sockets or accessories.

• hnpact wrenches are not torque wrenches.

Connections requiring specific torque must be

checked with a torque meter after fitting with an

impact wrench.

• This tool is not designed for working in explosive

atmospheres.

• This tool is not insulated against electric shock.

• Prevent exposure and breathing of harmful dust

and particles created by power tool use:

Some dust created by power sanding, sawing,

grinding, drilling and other construction

activities contains chemicals known to cause

cancel; birth defects or other reproductive

harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:

- lead from lead based paints,

- crystalline silica from bricks and cement

and other masonry products, and

- arsenic and chromium from chemically

treated lumbel:

Your risk from these exposures varies,

depending on how often you do this type of

work. To reduce your exposure to these

chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and

work with approved safety equipment, such as

those dust masks that are specially designed to

filter out microscopic particles.

The use of other than genuine Ingersoll-Rand replacement parts may result in safety hazards, decreased tool

performance, and increased maintenance, and may invalidate all warranties.

ADJUSTMENTS

SETTING THE POWER REGULATOR

hnpact wrenches are not torque control devices.

Fasteners with specific torque requirements must be

checked with suitable torque measuring devices after

installation with an impact wrench.

231H and 231H-2 hnpact Wrenches incorporate a power

regulator into the reverse mechanism that allows the

operator to have either full power output in one direction

and reduced power output in the other direction or full

power output in both directions. To adjust the power,

proceed as follows:

For full power in both directions, rotate the reverse

valve until the notch on each end of the reverse valve

aligns with the number 5 on each side of the housing.

For reduced power in the forward direction and full

power in the reverse direction, push the reverse valve

inward on the right side of the tool and rotate the reverse

valve until the notch on the right side aligns with the

desired number on the right side. This provides reduced

power in forward but full power in reverse when the

reverse valve is pushed in the opposite direction.

housing are only for reference

and DO NOT denote a specific

power output. Zero (0)

designates the lowest power

output while five (5) denotes

the highest.

For reduced power in the reverse direction and full

power in the forward direction, push the reverse valve

inward on the left side of the tool and rotate the reverse

valve until the notch on the left side aligns with the

desired number on the left side. This provides full power

in forward but reduced power in reverse when the reverse

valve is pushed the opposite direction.

PLACING TOOL IN SERVICE

LUBRICATION

Always use of an air line lubricator. We recommend the

following Filter-Lubricator-Regulator Unit:

For International- No. C28-C4-FKG0

For USA - No. C28-04-FKG0-28

After each forty-eight hours of operation, or as

experience indicates, inject about 4 cc of the

recommended grease into the Grease Fitting (4).

pression maximmn de 6,2 bar (620 kPa). La

poussi_+re, les fum6es corrosives et/ou une humidit6

excessive peuvent endommager le moteur d'un

outil pneumatique.

• Ne jamais lubrifier les outils avec des liquides

inflammables ou volatiles tels que le k6rosi+ne, le

gasol ou le carburant d'aviation.

• Ne retirer aucune 6tiquette. Remplacer toute

6tiquette endommag6e.

UTILISATION DE L'OUTIL

• Porter toujours des lunettes de protection pendant

l'utilisation et l'entretien de cet outil.

• Porter toujours une protection acoustique pendant

l'utilisation de cet outil.

• Noter la position du levier d'inversion avant de

mettre l'outil en marche de manii+re h savoir dans

quel sens il va tourner lorsque la commande est

actionn6e.

• Gardez les mains, v6tements amples, cheveux longs

et bijoux 61oign6s de l'extr6mit6 rotative de l'outil.

• Garder une position 6quilibr6e et ferme. Ne passe

pencher trop en avant pendant l'utilisation de cet

outil. Anticiper et prendre garde aux changements

soudains de mouvement, couples de r6action ou

forces lots du d6marrage et de l'exploitation.

La rotation des accessoires de l'outil peut

continuer pendant un certain temps apr6s le

rehichement de la gfichette.

Les outils pneumatiques peuvent vibrer pendant

l'exploitation. Les vibrations, les mouvements

r6p6titifs et les positions inconfortables peuvent

causer des douleurs dans les mains et les bras.

N'utiliser plus d'outils en cas d'inconfort, de

picotements ou de douleurs. Consulter un m6decin

avant de recommencer h utiliser l'outil.

Utiliser les accessoires recommand6s par

Ingersoll-Rand.

N'utiliser que les douilles et les accessoires pour

cl6s h chocs. Ne pas utiliser les douilles et

accessoires (chrom6s) de cl6s manuelles.

Les cl6s _ chocs ne sont pas des appareils

dynamom6triques.Les connexions n6cessitant un

couple de sewage sp6cifique doivent 6tre v6rifi6es

avec un mesureur de couple apri+s avoir 6t6

assembl6es avec un cl6 h chocs.

Cet outil n'est pas conqu pour fonctionner dans des

atmosph_+res explosives.

Cet outil n'est pas isol6 contre les chocs 61ectriques.

Evitez route exposition et respiration des poussii+res

et particules nocives cr66es par l'emploi de l'outil

pnemnatique:

Certaines poussii+res produites par les

op6rations de ponqage, sciage, meulage,

perqage et autres activit6s de construction

contiennent des produits chimiques qui sont

reconnus COlllllle pouvant causer le cancel; des

infirmit6s de naissance ou d'autres risques

effets nocifs. Parmi ces produits chimiques on

trouve:

- le plomb des peintures _ base de plomb,

- les cristaux de silice contenus dans les

briques, le ciment et d'autres produits de

maqonnerie, et

- l'arsenic et le chrome des bois trait6s

chimiquement.

Le risque pr6sent6 par l'exposition _ ces

poussii+res est fonction de la fr6quence et du

type de travail effectu6. Pour r6duire

l'exposition Aces produits chimiques :

travaillez dans une zone bien a6r6e, et utilisez

concus pour filtrer et arr6ter les particules

REGLAGE DU REGULATEUR DE PUISSANCE

Les cl6s h chocs ne son pas des appareils

dynamom6triques. Les fixations n6cessitant un couple

de serrage sp6cifique doivent 6tre v6rifi6es avec des

appareils de mesure de couple appropri6s apr_+s avoir

6t6 assembl6es avec une cl6 h chocs.

Les clds _ chocs automobiles ModUles 231H et 231H-2

comportent un rdgulateur de puissance dans le mdcanisme

qui permet _ l'opdrateur de choisir soit la pleine puissance

dans un sens de rotation et une puissance rdduite dans

l'autre sens, soit la pleine puissance dans les deux sens de

rotation.Pour ajuster la puissance, procdder comme suit :

Pour obtenir la pleine puissance dans les deux

directions, tourner la soupape d'inversion jusqu'h ce que

l'encoche aux deux extrdmitds de la soupape d'inversion

soient aligndes par rapport au numdro 5 de chaque c6td du

carter.

Les num6ros 0 ii 5 du carter

ne sont donn6s qu'h titre de

guide et NE d6notent PAS une

puissance sp6cifique. Z6ro (0)

indique la puissance la plus

faible tandis que cinq (5)

indique la puissance la plus

61ev6e.

Pour obtenir une puissance r6duite dans le sens avant

et la pleine puissance dans le sens arrii+re, pousser la

soupape d'inversion vers l'intdrieur sur le c6td droit de

l'outil et tourner la soupape d'inversion jusqu'_ ce que

l'encoche du c6td droit de la soupape soit alignde par

rapport au numdro ddsird sur le c6td droit. Ce rdglage

fournit une puissance rdduite dans le sens avant, mais une

pleine puissance dans le sens arribre lorsque la soupape

d'inversion est poussde dans la direction opposde.

l'emploi dufiltre-rdgulateur-lubrificateur suivant :

Toutes les quarante-huit heures de fonctionnement,

ou en fonction de l'expdrience, injecter environ 4 cm 3 de

graisse recomnlandde clans le raccord de graissage (4).

• Vor Wartnngsarbeiten nnd dem Anstansch yon

Znbeh6r ist das Werkzeng yon der

Drncklnftversorgnng abznschalten.

• Keine beschiidigtem dnrchgeschenerten oder

abgenntzten Lnftschliinche nnd Anschliisse

verwenden.

• Darauf achten, dab alle Schlfiuche und Anschliisse die

passende Gr6Be haben und korrekt befestigt sind. In

Zeichnung TPD905-1 ist eine typische

Rohrleitungsanordnung abgebildet.

• Von gel6stem schlagenden Druckluftschlfiuchen

fernhalten. Vor Annfiherung an einen schlagenden

• Vor der Inbetriebnahme auf die Position des

Umsteuerhebels achten, damit bei Betfitigen der

Drossel spfiter die Drehrichtung schon bekaunt ist

• Hfinde, lose Bekleidungsstiicke, lange Haare und

Schmuckstiicke vom beweglichen Ende des

Werkzeuges fernhalten.

• Auf sichere K6rperhaltung achten. Wfihrend der

Benutzung des Werkzeuges nicht zu weit nach vorne

lehnen. Bei Anlauf und Betrieb auf Riickschlag achten

und auf pl6tzliche Anderungen der

Reaktionsdrehmomente und Gegenkrfifte vorbereitet

sein.

• Nach dem Loslassen des Driickers kann die Welle des

Werkzeugs noch kurz weiterdrehen.

Druckluftbetriebene Werkzeuge k6nnen wfihrend des

Betriebs vibrieren. Vibrationen, hiiufige gleichf6rmige

Bewegungen oder unbequeme Positionen k6nnen

schiidlich fiir Hiinde und Arme sein. Bei Unbehagen,

I_-ibbeln oder Schmerzen das Werkzeug nicht mehr

benutzen. Vor dem erneuten Arbeiten mit dem

Werkzeug iirztliche Hilfe aufsuchen.

verwenden.

Nur Schlagschrauber-Steckschliissel und -Zubeh6r

verwenden. Keine Hand-Steckschliissel (Chrom) oder

Schlagschrauber sind keine Drehmomentschraubel:

Verbindungen, die ein bestimmtes Drehmoment

erfordern, miissen nach dem Anziehen mit dem

Schlagschrauber mit Hilfe eines

DrehmomentmeBgeriites iiberpriift werden.

Das Werkzeug ist nicht fiir die Arbeit in explosiven

Atmosphiiren geeignet.

Dieses Werkzeug ist nicht gegen elektrischen Schlag

isoliert.

Vermeiden Sie, sich den Schadstoffen auszusetzen und

die Schadstoffe einzuatmen, die bei Verwendung yon

Elektro- und Druckluftwerkzeugen freigesetzt

werden:

Bei der Nutzung von Maschinen zum Schleifen,

Sfigen, Trennschleifen, Bohren und weiteren

Tfitigkeiten auf dem Bausektor entstehen Stiiube,

die ihrerseits Chemikalien enthalten, die

bekanntermaBen Krebs, Schfidigungen der

Nachkommen oder andere Schfidigungen des

menschlichen Reproduktionssystems

verursachen. Zu Beispielen fiir diese Chemikalien

zfihlen:

sind in gut beliifteten Bereichen durchzufiihren

und bei allen Arbeiten sind zugelassene

pers6nliche Schutzausriistnngen zu tragen.

Herausfiltern mikroskopisch kleiner Partikel

EINSTELLUNGEN

EINSTELLUNG DES LEISTUNGSREGLERS

Schlagschrauber sind keine Drehmomentwerkzeuge.

Verbindungen, die ein bestimmtes Drehmoment

erfordern, miissen nach dem Anziehen mit dem

Schlagschrauber mit Hilfe eines geeigneten

Drehmomentmeggeriites iiberpriift werden.

Schlagschrauber der Baureihe 231H und 231H-2 sind mit

einem Leistungsregler ftir den Umsteuermechanisnms

ausgestattet, mit Hilfe dessen der Bediener entweder volle

Leistung in einer Richtung und verringerte Leistung in die

andere Richtung oder volle Leistung in beiden Richtungen

einstellen kann. Zum Einstellen der Leistung wird

folgendermal3en vorgegangen:

Fiir voile Leistung in beiden Richtungen das

Umsteuerventil so weir drehen bis die Kerben an beiden

Enden des Ventils mit der Nmmner 5 an beiden Seiten des

Gehfiuses tibereinstimmen.

Die Nummern 0 bis 5 auf dem

Gehiiuse dienen nur als

Referenz und bedeuten

KEINE bestimmte Leistung.

Null (0) steht fiir geringste,

Fiinf (5) fiir h6chste Leistung.

Um verringerte Leistung in Vorwiirtsrichtung und

voile Leistung in Umkehrrichtung zu erreichen, das

Umsteuerventil in der rechten Werkzeugseite nach innen

driicken und so weir drehen bis die Kerbe auf der rechten

Seite mit der gewtinschten Nummer auf der rechten Seite

iibereinstimmt. So wird verringerte Leistung in Vorwfirts-

und volle Leistung in Umkehrrichtung erreicht wenn das

Umsteuerventil in die entgegengesetzte Richtung gedriickt

wird. Siehe Zeichnung TPD1248.

• Usare, ispezionare e mantenere sempre

quest'attrezzo secondo tutti i regolamenti (locali,

statali, federali e nazionali), che possano essere •

applicabili agli attrezzi a mano pneumatici.

• Per sicurezza, massime prestazioni e massima

durabilitfi delle parti, usare quest'attrezzo ad una •

massima pressione d'aria di 90 psig

(6,2 bar/620 kPa) all'ingresso con un flessibile di

alimentazione dell'aria con diametro interno di

3/8" (10 mm).

• Disinserire sempre l'alimentazione aria e staccare

il relativo tubo dall'attrezzo, prima di installare,

togliere o regolare qualsiasi accessorio, oppure •

prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di

manutenzione dell'attrezzo. •

• Non adoperare tubi e raccordi danneggiati,

consunti o deteriorati. •

• Assicurarsi che tutti i tubi ed i raccordi siano delle

corrette dimensioni e saldamente serrati.

Consultare il disegno TPD905-1 per una tipica

disposizione dei tubi.

• Porre attenzione ai tubi flessibili che agiscono •

come fruste. Chiudere l'aria compressa prima di

avvicinarsi ad un tubo flessibile in movimento. •

• Usare sempre aria pulita ed asciutta alia pressione

max di 90 psig (6,2 bar/620 kPa). Polvere, fumi •

corrosivi e/o un eccesso di umidith possono

rovinare il motore di un attrezzo pneumatico.

• Non lubrificare gli utensili con liquidi infiammabili

o volatili come kerosene, gasolio o combustibile per

aviogetti.

• Non togliere nessuna etichetta. Sostituire eventuali

etichette danneggiate.

COME USARE I_'ATTREZZO

• Indossare sempre degli occhiali protettivi quando si

adopera questo attrezzo o se ne esegue la

manutenzione.

• Indossare sempre delle cuffie protettive quando si

adopera questo attrezzo.

• Notare la posizione della leva d'inversione prima

di azionare l'attrezzo in modo da essere consci

della direzione di ruotazione quando si aziona

l'immissione.

• Tenere le mani, vestiti larghi, capelli lunghi e

gioielleria fuori dalla portata del lato in funzione

dell'utensile.

• Mantenere con il corpo una posizione salda e ben

bilanciata. Non sbilanciarsi durante l'uso di questo

improvvise variazioni di movimento, coppie di

reazione, o forze inaspettate durante l'avviamento

e l'uso di qualsiasi utensile.

L'accessorio dell'utensile potrebbe continuare a

funzionare brevemente dopo che _ stata disinserita

l'immissione.

Gli attrezzi pneumatici possono vibrare durante

l'uso. Le vibrazioni, i movimenti ripetitivi o le

posizioni scomode possono risultare dannosi per le

mani e le braccia. Interrompere l'uso dell'utensile

torsiometro l'installazione con una chiave

torsiometrica.

Questo utensile non b stato progettato per operare

in atmosfere esplosive.

elettriche.

Prevenire l'esposizione e la respirazione di polvere

e particelle pericolose dovute all'uso si stumenti

elettrici:

La polvere causata da smerigliatura, segatura,

macinatura, trapanatura e altre attivith

relative alia costruzione contiene sostanze

chimiche note come cause di cancro, di

menomazioni alia nascita o di altri danni legati

alia riproduzione. Tali sostanze chimiche sono,

ad esempio:

- vernici a base di piombo,

- silice cristallina derivante da mattoni e

cemento e altri prodotti per muratura,

- arsenico e cromo derivanti da legname

trattato chimicamente.

I rischi causati dalle esposizioni variano in

base alia frequenza con cui viene eseguito

questo tipo di lavori. Per ridurre l'esposizione

a tali sostanze chimiche: lavorare in una zona

ben ventilata, con attrezzature di sicurezza

approvate come le maschere per protezione

dalla polvere progettate specificamente per

eliminare con il filtro le particelle

microscopiche.

L'uso di rieambi non originali Ingersoll-Rand potrebbe eausare eondizioni di pericolositfi, eompromettere le prestazioni

IMPOSTAZIONE DEL REGOLATORE DI

POTENZA

Le chiavi ad impulsi non sono attrezzi a controllo di

coppia. I dispositivi di fissaggio che richiedono

specifiche coppie devono essere controllati con un

torsiometro dopo l'installazione con una chiave

torsiometrica.

Le chiavi ad impulsi modelli 231H e 231H-2 incorporano

un regolatore di potenza nel meccanismo d'inversione che

consente all'operatore di avere o piena erogazione di

potenza in una direzione ed erogazione di potenza ridotta

nell'altra direzione oppure piene erogazione di potenza in

entrambe le direzioni.Per regolare la potenza, procedere

nel modo seguente:

Per piena potenza in entrambe le direzioni, girare la

valvola d'inversione fino a quando l'intacco su ciascuna

estremitfi della valvola d'inversione sia allineato col

numero 5 su ciascun lato della sede.

Per potenza ridotta nella direzione in avanti e piena

potenza nella direzione in inverso, spingere la valvola

d'inversione verso l'interno sulla destra dell'attrezzo e

girare la valvola stessa fino a quando l'intacco sulla destra

sia allineato col numero desiderato sulla destra. Ci6

provvede potenza ridotta in avanti ma potenza piena

all'inverso quando la valvola d'inversione viene spinta

LLAVES DE IMPACTO INDUSTRIALES LIGERAS

MODELOS 231H Y 231H-2

Las Llaves de Impacto Modelos 231H y 231H-2 esthn disefiadas para usar en reparaciones generales de

automoviles, talleres de carroceria, revision de retroexcavadoras y aplicaciones en camiones ligeros y

aperos de labranza.

Ingersoll-Rand no aceptarh responsabilidad alguna por la modificacion de las herramientas efectuada

por el cliente para las aplicaciones que no hayan sido consultadas con Ingersoll-Rand.

PARA PONER LA HERRAMIENTA EN

SERVICIO

• Use, inspeccione y mantenga esta herramienta

siempre de acuerdo con todas las normativas "

(locales, estatales, federales, nacionales), que

apliquen a las herramientas neumfiticas de

operaci6n y agarre manual. •

• Para seguridad, mfiximo rendimiento y vida de

servicio de las piezas, use esta herramienta a una

presi6n de aire mfixima de 90 psig (6,2 bar/620kPa)

en la manguera de suministro de aire con difimetro

interno de 10 mm.

• Corte siempre el suministro de aire y desconecte la

manguera de suministro de aire antes de instalar, •

desmontar o ajustar cualquier accesorio de esta

herramienta, o antes de realizar cualquier •

operaci6n de mantenimiento de la misma.

• No utilice mangueras de aire y accesorios dafiados,

desgastados ni deteriorados.

• Asegdrese de que todas las mangueras y accesorios

sean del tamafio correcto y est+n bien apretados.

Vea Esq. TPD905-1 para un tipico arreglo de

tuberlas.

• Mant6ngase apartado de toda manguera de aire

que est6 dando latigazos. Apague el compresor de •

aire antes de acercarse a una manguera de aire que

est6 dando latigazos.

• Use siempre aire limpio y seco a una presi6n

mfiximade 90 psig (6,2 bar/620kPa). El polvo, los

gases corrosivos y/o el exceso de humedad podrian

estropear el motor de una herramienta neumfitica.

• No lubrique las herramientas con llquidos

inflamables o volfitiles tales como queroseno, gasoil

o combustible para motores a reacci6n.

• No saque ninguna etiqueta. Sustituya toda etiqueta

dafiada.

USO DE LA HERRAMIENTA

• Use siempre protecci6n ocular cuando maneje, o

realice operaciones de mantenimiento en esta

herramienta.

• Use siempre protecci6n para los oidos cuando

maneje esta herramienta.

• Note la posici6n de la palanca de inversi6n antes de

hacer funcionar la herramienta para ser consciente

de su direcci6n giratoria cuando funcione el

estrangulador.

• Mantenga las manos, la ropa suelta, el cabello

largo y las alhajas apartados del extremo de

trabajo de la herramienta.

• Mantenga una postura del cuerpo equilibrada y

firme. No estire demasiado los brazos al manejar la

herramienta. Anticipe y est6 atento a los cambios

repentinos en el movimiento, pares de reacci6n u

otras fuerzas durante la puesta en marcha y

utilizaci6n.

El eje de la herramienta podrla seguir girando

brevemente despu6s de haber soltado la palanca de

estrangulaci6n.

Las herramientas neumfiticas pueden vibrar

durante el uso. La vibraci6n, repetici6n o

posiciones inc6modas pueden dafiarle los brazos y

manos. En caso de incomodidad, sensaci6n de

hormigueo o doloi; deje de usar la herramienta.

Consulte a un m6dico antes de volver a usarla otra

vez.

Utilice finicamente los accesorios Ingersoll-Rand

recomendados.

Utilice finicamente bocas y accesorios para llaves

de impacto. No utilice bocas o accessorios

manuales (cromados).

Las llaves de impacto no son llaves de pal: Las

uniones que requieran pares especfficos deberfin

ser comprobadas con un torsi6metro despu_s de

haberlas fijado con una llave de impacto.

Esta herramienta no ha sido disefiada para

trabajar en ambientes explosivos.

Esta herramienta no estfi aislada contra descargas

el_ctricas.

Evite respirar el polvo y particulas nocivos que se

producen al utilizar la herramienta, asi como

exponerse a ellos:

Ciertos tipos de polvo que se producen al lijal;

serruchal; rectificar o taladrar y durante otras

actividades de la construcci6n contienen

sustancias quimicas que son conocidos como

causantes de cfincel; defectos de nacimiento y

otros dafios reproductivos. Algunos ejemplos

de estas sustancias quimicas:

- el plomo de las pinturas con base de

plomo,

- la silice cristalina de ladrillos y hormig6n

y otros productos asociados con la

albafiileria, y

- el ars_nico y el cromo que produce la

madera sometida a tratamientos quimicos.

El riesgo a la persona que presenta una

exposici6n de este tipo varia en funci6n de la

frecuencia con que se realiza esta clase de

trabajo. Para reducir la exposici6n a estas

sustancias quimicas: trabaje en una zona bien

ventilada y utilice equipo de protecci6n

homologado, por ejemplo una mascarilla

especiahnente disefiada para filtrar particulas

microscSpicas.

El uso de piezas de recambio que no sean las aut_nticas piezas Ingersoll- Rand podrla poner en peligro la seguridad, reducir el

rendimiento de la herramienta y aumentar los euidados de mantenimiento neeesarios, asl eomo invalidar toda garantla.

Las reparaciones s61o serfin realizadas por personal eualificado y autorizado. Consulte con el eentro de servicio Ingersoll-Rand

autorizado mils pr6ximo.

AJUSTES

COLOCACION DE REGULADOR DE

POTENCIA

Las llaves de impacto no son llaves de pal" Las

fijaciones con especifico requerimiento de par deber+in

ser comprobadas con un torsi6metro adecuado despu6s

de su fijaci6n con una llave de impacto.

Las Llaves de hnpacto Modelo 231H y 231H-2

incorporan un regulador de potencia en el mecanismo de

inversi6n, que permite al operario obtener potencia

completa en una direcci6n y potencia reducida en la otra

direcci6n, o potencia completa en ambas direcciones. Para

ajuste de potencia, proceda como sigue:

Para potencia completa en ambas direcciones, gire la

vfilvula de inversi6n hasta que la marca en carla extremo

de vfilvula estd alineada con el nfimero 5 en cada lateral

de eareasa.

Para potencia reducida en direcci6n hacia delante y

potencia completa en la inversa, empuje hacia adentro la

vfilvula de inversi6n situado en el lateral derecho de la

herramienta y gire la vfilvula de inversidn hasta que la

marca en el lateral derecho estd alineada con el mlmero

deseado en la derecha. Esto ofrece potencia reducida en

direccidn hacia delante y potencia completa en la inversa

cuando la vfilvula de inversidn sea empujada hacia el lado

Para potencia reducida en direcci6n inversa y potencia

completa en la direcci6n hacia delante, empuje hacia

adentro la vfilvula de inversidn en el lateral derecho de la

herramienta y gire la vfilvula de inversidn hasta que la

marca en el lateral izquierdo estd alineada con el mlmero

deseado en la izquierda. Esto ofrece potencia completa en

direccidn hacia delante y potencia reducida en la inversa

cuando la vfilvula de inversidn sea empujada hacia el lado

Utilice siempre un lubricante de aire comprimido con esta

herramienta. Recomendamos la siguiente unidad de

Filtro-Lubricador - Regulador:

Para EE.UU. - N _. C28-04-FKG0-28

Despu6s de cada cuarenta y ocho horas de uso, o como

indique la experiencia, inyecte unos 4 cc de la grasa

recomendada en cada Engrasador (4).
