signed and CERTIFIED accord-

tive). All machines display the
identication and EC Ruling
conformity plate. The ma-
chines are also equipped with
the instruction manual and
the Declaration of Confor-
mity to the European Directive
2006/42/EC and to its various
amendments; this allows to
sell WASP 3D printers freely in
all Countries belonging to the
European Community.

zuständig für die Installation

Installation und Wartung zu-
ständigen Technikern gekannt
werden. Die Beschreibungen
und Abbildungen sind nicht
verbindlich. Davon ausge-

Garanzia
La stampante 3D WASP è
garantita per 24 mesi dalla
data di fatturazione per i clienti
privati e 12 mesi per le aziende
o partita IVA, salvo diversi
accordi scritti.
La garanzia copre tutti i difetti
di materiali e di fabbricazione e
prevede la sostituzione di parti
di ricambio o la riparazione dei
pezzi difettosi esclusivamente
a nostra cura e presso la no-
stra ofcina.
In caso di reso per ripara-
zione in garanzia, il cliente è
obbligato a spedire a WASP
sempre la stampante completa
o dove possibile solo il pezzo
da cambiare.
Il materiale in riparazione
dovrà essere inviato in PORTO
FRANCO.
A riparazione avvenuta, il
dispositivo sarà inviato in
PORTO ASSEGNATO al Cliente.
La garanzia NON prevede
l’intervento di nostri tecnici sul
luogo di impiego della stam-
pante, né il suo smontaggio.
Nel caso in cui, per esigenze
pratiche, dovesse essere invi-
ato un nostro tecnico, la pre-
stazione di manodopera sarà
fatturata ai prezzi correnti, più
eventuale trasferta e spese di
viaggio.
Sono esclusi dalla garanzia:
+ guasti causati da utilizzo
improprio o montaggio
non corretti,
+ guasti causati da agenti
esterni,
+ guasti causati da incuria o
scarsa manutenzione,
+ l’utilizzo di materiali non
idonei e di li di stampa
non impiegabili con le
stampanti Delta 2040.
LA GARANZIA DECADE:
+ in caso di morosità o altre
inadempienze contrattuali,
+ qualora fossero fatte, sen-
za nostro consenso, ripa-
razioni o modifiche alle
nostre stampanti
+ qualora il n° di matricola
venisse manomesso o
cancellato,
+ qualora il danno venisse
causato da un utilizzo
scorretto, così come da
cattivo trattamento qua-
li colpi, cadute ed altre
cause non attribuibili a
condizioni normali di fun-
zionamento,
+ qualora il dispositivo ri-
sultasse smontato, ma-
nomesso o riparato da
personale non autorizzato
da WASP.
+ qualora la stampante fosse
rispedita in azienda all’in-
terno di un imballaggio
differente da quello fornito
al momento dell’acquisto.
+ qualora sulla stampante
venissero aggiunti o mon-
tati componenti non di
produzione WASP.
Le riparazioni effettuate in
garanzia non interrom-
pono la durata della
stessa.
Per ogni controversia il
Foro Competente è quello
di Ravenna.
Vi ringraziamo anticipata-
mente dell’attenzione che
presterete a questo manuale
e Vi invitiamo a segnalarci
eventuali suggerimenti che
riterrete necessarie per ren-
derlo più completo.
Warranty
WASP 3D printer has a 24
month warranty from the
date of the invoice for private
customers and a 12 month
warranty for companies or
workers with VAT number,
unless otherwise stated in
writing.
The warranty covers all manu-
facturing and material defects.
Replacements and repair op-
erations are covered only if
carried out by our company
and at our servicing shop.
In case of return for repair
under warranty, the customer
must always send to WASP the
whole printer or, if possible,
only the place which must be
replaced.
The material to be repaired
will have to be sent CARRIAGE
FREE.
Once the machine has been
repaired, it will be sent to the
customer CARRIAGE FOR-
WARD.
The warranty covers neither
the technicians’ intervention
on site nor the machine dis-
assembly from the installation.
If for practical reasons, one of
our technicians is sent on site,
the customer will be charged
the costs plus the travelling
expenses.
The warranty does not in-
clude:
+ failure caused by wrong
use or assembly,
+ failure caused by external
agents,
+ failure caused by lack of
maintenance or careless-
ness,
+ the use of non suitable
materials and of printing
laments which can not
be used with Delta 2040
printers.
WARRANTY FORFEITURE:
+ In case of arrearage or
other breaches of con-
tract,
+ Whenever changes or
repairs are carried out on
our printers without our
prior authorization
+ Whenever the serial num-
ber is tampered with or
cancelled,
+ Whenever the damage is
caused by improper use,
bad treatment, bumps,
falls and other causes not
due to normal working
conditions,
+ Whenever the machine
seems tampered with,
dismantled or previously
repaired by unauthorized
staff.
+ Whenever the printer is
sent back to the com-

Presentazione della
società
Il CSP (Centro Sviluppo Pro-
getti) nasce una ventina di
anni fa dalla prolica mente
di Massimo Moretti, come
azienda che si occupa dello
sviluppo di progetti innovativi.
Il retroscena di questa nascita
parla di un’esperienza che
dura da circa 50 anni: Mas-
simo n da bambino osserva
lavorare il padre nella sua of-
cina, rimanendo affascinato
da quel piccolo mondo dove
dalla materia grezza si arriva
al pezzo nito; insieme al pa-
dre si costruiscono giochi e si
apprende come “fare”.
L’azienda si caratterizza per
la continua ricerca di nuove
idee e progetti da sviluppare.
Curiosità e ducia nelle proprie
idee, innovazione e ricerca
fanno da cardine ad ogni
progetto curato da Massimo e
il suo team.
WASP è CSP, Centro Sviluppo

piccole ma versatili stampanti
3D ad un costo accessibile a
tutti, diffondendo le tecnolo-
gie e conoscenze per favorire
la micro impresa e cambiare
l’approccio al lavoro, ovvero
creandolo.
Artigiani, creativi, hobbisti,
laboratori, scuole, tutti pos-
sono accedere alle tecnologie
avanzate come disegno e
stampa 3D, lavorazione a
controllo numerico (frese, cnc)
trasformando le proprie idee
in oggetti.

Introduction to our
company
CSP (Centro Sviluppo Pro-
getti) was born about twenty
years ago out of the brilliant
mind of Massimo Moretti, and
this company deals with the
development of innovative
projects. As background to this
birth lays a 50 years lasting
experience: since Massimo
was a child, he used to ob-
serve his father working in the
workshop, and was fascinated
by that small world which en-
ables to create nished parts
starting from the raw material;
they built toys together, learn-
ing how to do them.
The company is marked by the
continuous search of brand
new ideas and projects to be
developed. This business is
centred on new innovative
ideas, curiosity and research
are the main characteristics
of every project developed by
Massimo and his team.
WASP is CSP, Centro Svi-
luppo Progetti, is university,
is research, is passion. These
elements are perfectly integ-
rated and combined together
in order to work for Makers
research and innovation. The
nal products are printing and
milling machines, which aim
also to make a better world.
This approach allows users
to build on their own objects
according to their imagination,
by creating them in 3D using
CAD software or by down-
loading open source projects
from internet. This project is
self-financed by producing
small but versatile and low
cost 3D printers, and at the
same time the spread of tech-
nologies and knowledges can
support micro-enterprises and
change the attitude towards
the work, just by creating it.

1.0 Trasporto
Per il trasporto della stam-
pante 3D è possibile impie-
gare solo il sistema indicato a
continuazione. In ogni caso,
assicurarsi che il mezzo di
trasporto e di sollevamento
sia in grado di reggere il peso
della stampante con il suo
imballo (circa 25kg per delta
2040, 160kg per delta 4070):
+ Trasporto in scatola di
cartone.
ATTENZIONE
Il personale addetto alla ma-
nipolazione del carico è bene
che operi con guanti protettivi.
ATTENZIONE
Nel sollevare o movimentare la
stampante 3D o una qualsiasi
sua parte, provvedere a far
sgomberare la zona delle ope-
razioni, considerando anche
una sufciente area di sicu-
rezza intorno ad essa, onde
evitare danni a persone o ad
oggetti che possano trovarsi
nel raggio di manovra.
ATTENZIONE
Tutti gli optional ordinati in-
sieme alla stampante sono
imballati a parte o inseriti nello
stesso imballo.
1.1 Trasporto in
scatola di cartone
La stampante viene inserita
all’interno di una scatola di
cartone con dimensioni 51cm
x 58cm x 100cm (vedi g.1).
Per evitare che possa muo-
versi all’interno della scatola
vengono inserite due cufe
in polietilene espanso per
rendere stabile la stampante e
proteggerla da urti. All’interno
la stampante è coperta da
un nastro di cellophane. Per
alcune consegne è prevista
la reggiatura. Il sollevamento
della scatola può essere ef-
fettuato anche manualmente
(visto il modico peso) ma
almeno da due persone. Per
il modello 4070 è previsto un
imballaggio di legno.
ATTENZIONE
Prima di procedere alla sua
movimentazione ed apertu-
ra, seguire quanto indicato
sull’imballo.
1.0 Transport
To transport the 3D printer
only the method below can be
used. Make sure the means of
transport and the lifting device
can bear the weight of the
machine with its packaging
(about 25kg for delta 2040,
160kg for delta 4070):
+ Transport in cardboard
box.
WARNING
The staff in charge of handling
must use protective gloves.
WARNING
While lifting or handling the 3D
printer or any of its parts, clear
the working area, by leaving a
sufcient safety area around
it to avoid injuring people or
damaging objects that could
be inside it.

All the options ordered with
the printer are packed separ-
ately or inserted in the same
packaging.

The printer is inserted inside
a cardboard box with the
following dimensions 51cm
x 58cm x 100cm (see picture
1). In order to avoid any
movement of the printer, two
casings made of polyethylene
foam are added inside the
box to make the printer more
stable and to protect it from
any impact.
The printer is covered inside
by a cellophane tape. In some
cases for the delivery the
strapping is needed. The box
can also be lifted manually
(since the weight has a low
value) but at least by two
people. For model 4070 a
wooden packaging is needed.
WARNING
Follow the directions on the
packaging before handling and
opening it.
1.0 Transport

Se la stampante viene ricevuta

al suo disimballo servendosi
di un taglierino. Sollevare le
quattro ali di cartone superiori,
quindi sollevare la stampante
e slarla dall’imballo.
Prima di rimuovere la stam-
pante togliere la cufa supe-
riore in polietilene espanso e i
due angolari di cartone.

1.4 Lagerung
Während des Transports oder
bei der Lagerung dürfen Tem-
peraturen zwischen -5 und 50°
C nicht über- oder unterschrit-
ten werden.
Bei der Lagerung des Druckers
darauf achten, dass der Lager-
raum nicht zu feucht ist.

räte enthaltenden Kisten nie

usarla. Il mancato rispetto di
quanto prescritto, solleva la
Ditta costruttrice da eventuali
danni o infortuni a persone
o cose, che ne potrebbero
derivare, e rende l’operatore
stesso unico responsabile
verso gli organi competenti.
2.0 Labelling

tion and EC standard 2006/42/
EC conformity plate (see pic-
ture 2)is on the internal upper
part of the printer.
The plate must not be re-
moved at all, even if the
printer is resold. Always refer
to the serial number (written
on the plate itself) when con-
tacting the manufacturer.
Several safety warnings are
placed on some components
of the printer; they must be
strictly followed by everyone
dealing with the machine.
The company is not to be
held responsible for damage
to property or accidents to
people which might occur if
the above-mentioned warn-
ings are not observed. In such
a case, the operator is the only
person responsible.

symbole, die beim Bedienen
des Druckers unbedingt be-
achtet werden müssen. Der
unachtsame Umgang enthebt
die Herstellerrma jeglicher
Verantwortung im Fall von
Personen- oder Sachschä-
den und etwaigen daraus
resultierenden Folgen. Die
Verantwortung gegenüber den
zuständigen Kompetenzorga-
nen liegt allein beim Bediener.

2.1 Descrizione della
stampante 3D
La stampante è costituita da
un estrusore riscaldato monta-
to su una struttura di tipo delta
robot, da un piano di lavoro e
da un gruppo bobine.
Il materiale viene svolto dalla
bobina, spinto verso l’ugello
riscaldato dove viene sciolto
e fatto colare attraverso un
ugello che depone piccolissime
quantità di materiale sul piano
di lavoro. Il materiale viene
deposto dalla testina strato su
strato secondo “layer” deniti
dal le realizzato tramite un
software di slicing. E’ quindi
possibile realizzare qualsiasi
forma e qualsiasi tipo di og-
getto nei limiti di questa tec-
nologia. La Delta WASP grazie
al piano riscaldato, l’ambiente
a temperatura costante e il
bowden ammortizzato garanti-
scono risultati migliori a livello
di stampa nale.
L’alta qualità dei prodotti im-

3D printer
The printer is provided with an
heated extruder mounted on a
delta robot structure, a work-
ing surface and a reel unit.
The material is unrolled from
the reel and led towards the
heated nozzle, where it melts
and drips through a nozzle
which leaves extra-small
quantities of material on the
working surface. The material
goes out from the printing
head layer on layer and each
“layer” is dened by the le
created by means of a slicing
software. Therefore it is pos-
sible to create any form and
any object according to the
limits of this technology.
DeltaWASP guarantees the

2.1 Beschreibung des

Der Drucker besteht aus einem

2.2 Caratteristiche

La meccanica Delta consente
di avere maggiore precisione e
stabilità garantendo maggiori

senza di un piano riscaldato e

stampante garantiscono una
temperatura di lavoro omoge-

Ulteriore vantaggio delle stam-
panti WASP Delta è la possibi-
lità di riavviare la produzione
del pezzo dal punto in cui
questa per qualsiasi motivo si
dovesse interrompere.
La stampa può avvenire sia
collegando la stampante al
computer oppure inserendo
una scheda SD che consen-
te di lavorare anche con la
stampante completamente
scollegata dal PC. Viene fornito
un porta lo, un porta bobine
esterno su cui montare bobine
di dimensioni fuori standard,
un sistema di illuminazione a
led interno e la possibilità di
impiegare sulla stampante li
di materiale di qualsiasi pro-

phylosophy, Wasp printers
can be managed by any soft-
ware which accepts gcode

3.0 General safety
rules
This section describes the min-
imum safety rules that must be
followed by the user in order
to install and use the printer:
WARNING
+ Do not wear rings, watches,
jewels, unbuttoned clothes,
scarves, unbuttoned jackets
or blouses with open zips
that can get entangled in the
moving parts.
+ Never use petrol, gas oil
or other inammable liquids
such as detergents to clean
the printer; use some non-
ammable and atoxic solvents.
+ Do not smoke, do not use
naked flames and do not
create sparks near the printer
when handling easily flam-
mable materials.
+ Do not use compressed air
to clean the details.
+ KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM
ANY MOVING PARTS.
+ Do not remove xed guards.
+ Never disable safety devices
or make them non operating.
+ Do not modify or add any
devices to the electric system,
without written authorization
or upon WASP technical
intervention, which describes
the change made.
+ Do not use the printer for a
purpose other than the one for
which it is intended, specied
in the use and maintenance
manual.
+ Do not use the printer with
highly toxic or viral products.
+ Do not use the printer with
food products unless previous
agreement.
+ Do not clean the printer
while it is running.
+ Minors can not use the
printer.
+ Do not touch the printing
head after the use because it
could be overheated.

3.1
Verifica del
prodotto acquistato
Prima dell’utilizzo della stam-
pante vericare che non abbia
subito danneggiamenti dovuti
al trasporto o alle condizioni
di conservazione. Verificare
inoltre che tutti gli optional
ordinati e tutti i componenti
forniti di serie siano contenuti
nell’imballo. In caso di danneg-
giamento, noticare il reclamo
allo spedizioniere ed avvisare
il fabbricante o il rivenditore.
Nella verica di integrità fare
molta attenzione al corretto
collegamento del tubo di nylon
tra tira lo ed estrusore, poiché
eventuali urti potrebbero com-
promettere il funzionamento
della stampante.
3.1 Check on the
purchased product
Before using the printer make
sure it has not been damaged
during transport or storage.
Check also that all the ordered
optional elements and all the
standard components are in-
side the packaging. In case of
damage, inform the forwarding
agent and the manufacturer
or the dealer. While checking,
pay attention to the correct
connection of the nylon tube
located between lament puller
and extruder, because eventual
schocks can compromise the
functioning of the printer.

Außerdem prüfen, ob alle seri-

gungen ist die Speditionsrma
zu benachrichtigen und den
Hersteller zu informieren. Beim
Überprüfen der Unversehrtheit
ist besonders auf den Nylon-
schlauch zwischen dem Extru-
der und dem Filamentzieher zu
achten, weil mögliche Stöße
das einwandfreie Funtkionieren
des Druckers beeinträchtigen
können.

plied with a heating system. For
a perfect working result, the
external temperature should
be kept at around 20°C. Higher
or lower temperatures could
damage the quality of the
printed elements.
3.3 Maschinenraum

4.0 Uso
La stampante dispone di un
piccolo visualizzatore, di un
pomolo (necessario per navi-
gare tra i menù), il tutto posi-
zionato sulla parte superiore
della stampante.
Con riferimento alla gura 5,
è disponibile la rotella “1” per
la navigazione tra i menù, il
display “2”, scheda SD “3” e
porta USB tipo B “4”.
PORTA BOBINA
A seconda delle dimensioni del
rotolo di lamento è possibile
posizionare il rotolo all’interno
della sede nella parte alta della
stampante oppure utilizzando
le staffe in plexiglass fornite
assieme alla stampante da in-
serire all’interno delle apposite
sedi “A” (vedi g. 6) presenti
nel disco circolare porta lo.
La vite “B” posta sopra al
piatto circolare porta bobina
permette la regolazione in
altezza (vedi g. 6).
Bobina “C” posta all’interno
della sede nella parte supe-
riore “D” della stampante
(vedi g.7).
Di norma la sede permette il
caricamento di bobine stan-
dard con altezza max. 100mm
e diametro max. 200mm.
Per bobine di dimensioni mag-
giori, è possibile impiegare
il supporto esterno come
descritto a pagina seguente.
4.0 Use
The printer is supplied with
a small display and a menu
navigation button, which are
placed on the upper part of
the printer.
With reference to picture 5,
button “1” is available for
menu navigation, display “2”,
SD card “3” and USB port of
type B “4” are placed on the
upper part as well.
REEL HOLDER
According to the lament reel
dimensions the reel can be
placed inside the seat on the
upper part of the printer or by
means of the plexiglass brack-
ets supplied with the printer,
which must be inserted into
proper seats “A” (see picture
6) on the lament holder cir-
cular plate.
Screw “B” placed on the l-
ament holder circular plate
allows the height adjustment
(see picture 6).
Reel “C” can be placed inside
the seat in printer upper part
“D” (see picture 7).
Usually the seat allows loading
standard reels with maximum
height of 100mm and max-
imum diameter of 200mm.
For bigger reels, the external
support can be used, as de-
scribed on the following page.
4.0 Gebrauch
Der obere Teil des Druckers ist
mit einem kleinem Display und
einem Knopf für die Menüna-
vigation geliefert.
Knopf „1“ zur Visualisierung
des Menüs, Display „2“, SD
Karte „3“ und USB-Anschluss
B Typ „4“ sind zur Verfügung
(siehe Abbildung 5).
SPULENHALTER
Je nach dem Ausmaß der Fila-
mentenspule kann die Spule in
deren Sitz in dem oberen Teil
des Druckers gestellt werden
oder bei der Verwendung
der Plexiglasbügel (mit dem
Drucker mitgeliefert), die in
die passenden Sitze „A“ (siehe
Abbildung 6) in der runden
Filamentenhalterscheibe ein-
gesteckt werden sein sollen.
Schraube „B“ auf der runden
Spulenhalterscheibe ermög-
licht die Hoheregulierung (sie-
he Abbildung 6).
Spule „C“ ist in ihrem Sitz
in dem oberen Teil „D“ des
Druckers gestellt (siehe Ab-
bildung 7).
Normalerweise ermöglicht
der Sitz die Belastung von
Standardspulen mit maxima-
ler Hohe von 100mm und
maximalem Durchmesser von
200mm.
Für größere Spule kann man
den externen Halter benutzen,
wie auf der folgenden Seite
beschrieben ist.
4.0 Emploi

PORTE-BOBINE
Selon les dimensions de la bo-
bine de lament la bobine peut
être positionnée à l’intérieur
du logement dans la partie
supérieure de l’imprimante
ou en utilisant les étriers en
plexiglass fournis avec l’im-
primante à insérer dans les
logements adéquats «A» (voir
g. 6) présents dans le disque
circulaire porte-l.
