quali si deve sottomettere il veicolo nei

Concessionari o nei Centri d’Assistenza

Autorizzati DERBI. Inoltre, il manuale

contiene le istruzioni per realizzare alcu-

ne riparazioni semplici. Le operazioni

descritte esplicitamente nella presente

pubblicazione, sono giustificate in quan-

to necessitano di equipaggiamenti spe-

ciali e/o conoscenze tecniche specifiche

per la sua realizzazione, Le consiglia-

mo, pertanto di rivolgersi ai Concessio-

nari o ai distribuitori DERBI.

This manual instructions have been

prepared to offer you an easy and clear

guide of how to use this manual; it also

indicates a few maintenance tips on

operations and periodic controls which

the vehicle should be submited at the

dealers or authorized Derbi Assistance

Centers. Also, the manual contains the

instructions to perform some easy

repairs. There are operations which are

not included in this publication due to

the fact that they require special equip-

ment and a specific technical knowled-

ge, we recommend you to refer to your

dealer or your distributor.

The text which has gray back-

ground contains important informa-

tion of how to use the vehicle and

to insure the maximun driving con-

dition.

Leitfaden für die Benutzung Ihres

Motorrads zusammengestellt, die

Anweisungen sind einfach und klar

Wartungsvorgänge und periodischen

Pulsante d’avviamento (Fig. 1)

Premere il pulsante per avviare il

motore, prestando attenzione nel

mantenere il cambio in posizione in

folle, poiché, in caso contrario, il motore

non si avvierà.

Comando del freno anteriore (Fig. 2)

Il comando freno anteriore, è ubicato

nel lato destro del manubrio (2).

Prestare speciale attenzione nell’uso,

utilizzando il freno anteriore senza

movimenti bruschi, dosando la forza

gradualmente, secondo le condizioni

del terreno, cercando di evitare in

qualsiasi caso, il bloccaggio della ruota.

Starter switch (Fig. 1)

Press the switch to start the engine,

pay attention to keep the lever shift at

the neutral position, if not the engine will

not start.

Front brake lever (Fig. 2)

The front brake lever is located at the

right side of the handlebar (2). Pay spe-

cial attention to it´s usage and use the

front brake smoothly and with care.

Apply the braking force gradually,

depending on the conditions of the

road, and avoiding the wheel from loc-

king.

Starterknopf (Abb. 1)

Drücken Sie den Knopf, um den

Motor in Gang zu setzen, achten Sie

darauf, dass Sie den Gang im Leerlauf

lassen, sonst springt der Motor nicht an.

Vorderradbremshebel (Abb. 2)

Der Hebel für die Vorderradbremse

befindet sich auf der rechten Seite des

Lenkers (2). Bremsen Sie stets

vorsichtig und nicht abrupt, den

Bedingungen des Geländes

entsprechend und versuchen Sie zu

vermeiden, dass sich das Rad blockiert.

Comando del gas

Situato nel lato destro del manubrio

(1). Con la rotazione verso l’interno

dell’impugnatura, si ottiene l’apertura

della valvola del carburatore.

Comando della frizione

La manetta del comando della frizio-

ne è situata nel lato sinistro del manu-

brio (2). Stringendo a fondo la medesi-

ma contro il manubrio, si disconnette la

frizione, liberando la trasmissione del

motore.

Lasciando dolcemente la manetta si

connette la frizione unendo il motore

alla trasmissione che, con una marcia

ingranata, trasmette tramite il cambio, la

forza del motore alla ruota posteriore.

Chiavi

Con il ciclomotore si consegnano

due chiavi che servono indifferentemen-

te per la chiusura del contatto e il tappo

del serbatoio della benzina.

Throttle lever

Located at the left side of the handle-

bar (1). By rotating the grip inwards, it

opens the carburetor valve.

Clutch lever

The clutch lever is located at the left

side of the handlebar (2). By pressing it

deeply against the handlebar, the clutch

is disengaged, releasing the engine

transmision.

Releasing the lever softly, it connects

the clutch joining the transmission with

the engine which, with a gear engaged,

transmits the tractional force of the

engine through the shift and to the rear

wheel.

Keys

With the motorcycle two keys are

included which are used for different

reasons, the ignition switch and the fuel

tank cover.

Gashebel

Befindet sich auf der rechten Seite

des Lenkers (1). Indem man den Griff

nach innen dreht, wird das Ventil des

Vergasers geöffnet.

Kupplungshebel

Der Kupplungshebel ist auf der

linken Seite des Lenkers (2)

angebracht. Indem man den Hebel

ganz gegen den Lenker drückt, wird die

Kupplung ausgeschaltet und gibt so den

Weg für den Motorenantrieb frei.

Wenn man den Hebel leicht betätigt,

schaltet man die Kupplung gemeinsam

mit dem Motorenantrieb ein, mit Hilfe

des eingekuppelten Ganges wird über

das Getriebe die Motorkraft auf das

Hinterrad übertragen.

Schlüssel

Mit dem Motorrad bekommen Sie

zwei Schlüssel, die beide als

Tappo serbatoio combustibile

Il tappo del serbatoio del combustibi-

le è provvisto della serratura.

Per aprirlo:

1. Sollevare la placca di protezione

della serratura.

2. Mantenendo in posizione il tappo

(bloccato), girare la chiave d’apertura

verso sinistra e successivamente,

togliere il tappo.

AVVERTENZA La chiusura ermetica

può determinare un leggero aumento

della pressione nel serbatoio; pertanto,

è normale che all’atto dell’apertura del

serbatoio si verifica un rumore prodotto

dalla fuoriuscita d’aria.

Per chiuderlo:

1. Introdurre il tappo con la chiave;

2. Girare la chiave verso destra e to-

glierla.

Fuel tank cover

The fuel tank cover is provided with a

latch.

To open it:

1. Lift the protection plate of the latch.

2. Keeping the tap in the locked posi-

tion, turn the latch to the left side and

then, remove the cap.

WARNING The sealed lock can increa-

se slightly the pressure in the tank, and

so, it is normal that you hear a noise

produced by the air when it comes out.

To close it:

1. Insert the cap with the key;

2. Turn the key to the right side and

remove it.

Tankverschluss

Der Tankverschluss ist mit einem

Schloss versehen.

So öffnen Sie den Verschluss:

1. Heben Sie den Schutzdeckel des

Schlosses an.

2. Halten Sie den Deckel in Position

(gesperrt), drehen Sie den Schlüssel

nach links und entnehmen Sie den

Deckel.

HINWEIS Der hermetische Verschluss

kann den Druck im Tank leicht

anheben; es ist deshalb normal, wenn

beim Öffnen des Tanks durch den

Luftaustritt ein Geräusch entsteht.

So schließen Sie den Verschluss:

1. Setzen Sie den Deckel mit

eingestecktem Schlüssel ein;

2. Drehen Sie den Schlüssel nach

rechts und entnehmen Sie ihn.

Per smontare il sellino introdurre la

chiave come indica la figura. Successi-

vamente ritirare il sellino verso la parte

anteriore.

Sotto il sellino si trova la batteria e

l’alloggiamento porta-attrezzi

Rubinetto del combustibile

OFF.

Quando il rubinetto del com-

bustibile si trova nella posizione OFF,

la benzina non passa dal serbatoio al

carburatore. Girare il rubinetto in questa

posizione ogni volta che non si usa il

veicolo.

ON. Quando il rubinetto del combus-

tibile si trova in posizione ON, la benzi-

na passa dal serbatoio al carburatore.

RES. Quando il rubinetto del com-

bustibile si trova nella posizione RES, la

benzina passa dall’alimentazione di

riserva al carburatore. Usare la riserva

solamente quando si ha terminato l’ali-

mentazione principale. Rifornire il veico-

lo il più presto possibile dopo aver gira-

to il rubinetto nella posizione RES.

To remove the seat enter the key as

it is shown on the figure. Then remove

the seat forward.

The battery and the tool box are

located underneath the seat .

Fuel valve

OFF

When the fuel valve is at the

OFF position, the fuel does not go from

the tank to the carburetor. Always turn

the valve into this position when the

vehicle is not used.

ON When the fuel valve is at the ON

position, the fuel goes from the tank to

the carburetor.

RES When the fuel valve is at the

RES position, the fuel goes from the

reservoir tank to the carburetor. Use the

reservoir only when the main tank is

empty. Refill the vehicle as soon as

posible after turning the fuel valve at the

RES position.

Tank in den Vergaser.

RES Wenn der Kraftstoffhahn in der

Position RES steht, fließt Benzin vom

Benzinreservoir in den Vergaser.

Brauchen Sie den Reservetank nur,

wenn der Haupttank aufgebraucht ist.

Tanken Sie Ihr Fahrzeug, nachdem Sie

den Kraftstoffhahn auf die Position RES

gesetzt haben, sobald wie möglich auf.

Controlli

Prima di avviare il veicolo:

1. Controllare che il serbatoio contenga

benzina.

2. Controllare il livello dell’olio nel carter

del motore.

3. Controllare il livello dell’elettrolito

nella batteria (se fosse necessario,

aggiungere acqua distillata).

4. Controllare la tensione e lubrificazio-

ne della catena di trasmissione.

5. Controllare la pressione dei pneuma-

tici e lo stato degli stessi

6. Controllare il livello del liquido del

freno anteriore.

7. Controllare lo stato del sistema di fre-

nata.

Una pressione diversa da quella

indicata in questo paragrafo può essere

motivo di difetti nella guida del veicolo.

Quindi si consiglia di controllare e

correggere con frequenza le pressioni.

OSSERVAZIONE:

La correzione della pressione di

gonfiaggio si effettuerà solamente

quando i pneumatici sono freddi. Se

sono caldi, le modifiche di gonfiaggio si

effettueranno solamente nei casi in cui

la pressione sia eccessivamente bassa.

La pressione dell’aria insufficiente

nei pneumatici non solo accellera il

consumo del pneumatico, ma

pregiudica seriamente la stabilità del

ciclomotore.

Assicurarsi che la pressione dei

pneumatici sia entro i limiti specificati

nel riquadro.

A different tyre pressure from this

section can cause an abnormal driving

condition of the vehicle. It is recommen-

ded to check frequently and to correct

the tyre pressure.

OBSERVATION:

The correction of the pressure condi-

tion of the tyres must be done only

when the tyres are cold. If they are hot,

the modification of the pressure will

have to be done only when the pressu-

re is to low.

The underinflation of tyre pressure

will not only accelerate the wear and

tear of the tyre, but also it will affect

seriously the vehicle stability.

Make sure the tyre pressure is bet-

ween the standard measures

Wenn Sie sich nicht an den hier

vorgeschriebenen Reifendruck halten,

kann es zu Störungen im Fahrzeug

kommen. Deshalb empfehlen wir Ihnen,

dass Sie den Reifendruck regelmäßig

überprüfen und falls notwendig

BEMERKUNG:

Der Reifendruck kann nur im kaltem

Zustand nachgestellt werden. Bei

heißen Reifen wird die Druckanpassung

nur vorgenommen, wenn der Druck zu

tief ist.

Der unzureichende Luftdruck in den

Abnützerscheinungen der Reifen,

sondern beeinflusst auch die Stabilität

des Motorrades.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass sich der

Reifendruck innerhalb der

Un pneumatico con una pressione

eccesivamente bassa, aumenta il con-

sumo del combustibile, danneggiando

inevitabilmente l’ambiente.

5 Assicurarsi di circolare sempre

con i pneumatici in buone condizio-

ni, poiché con i pneumatici eccesi-

vamente consumati si riduce la sta-

bilità di guida e successive perdite

di controllo. Si raccomanda che il

pneumatico anteriore si cambi

quando la profondità delle scanala-

ture sia di 1,6 mm. o meno. Per evi-

tare il consumo non necessario dei

pneumatici si raccomanda di:

- Avere sempre i pneumatici con la

pressione di gonfiaggio adeguata.

- Guidare soavemente evitando le

accellerazioni e le frenate brusche.

- Assicurarsi di non strisciare i bordi dei

marciapiedi con le ruote.

drive the vehicle with worn tyres it

tyre when the tyre tread depht is

recommended:

- Keep always the correct tyre pressure

- Drive softly, avoiding strong

acceleration and sharp brakings.

- Do not get near or hit the curbs with

the wheels.

Il sellino può essere tolto.

Per effettuare questa operazione:

1. Inserire il cavalletto;

2. Girare la chiave come mostra la fig.2

3. Togliere il sellino tirando verso la

parte anteriore del veicolo.

Per ritornare a montare il sellino,

invertire l’ordine delle operazioni

realizzate durante lo smontaggio.

5 Durante i primi 1000 Km. non

usare il veicolo più dell’ 80% della

velocità massima prevista.

Evitare le accelerazioni mantenen-

do una velocità costante per lunghi

percorsi.

Dopo i primi 1.000 Km. aumentare

progressivamente la velocità fino a

raggiungere le massime prestazio-

ni.

Un buon rodaggio assicura una

lunga durata e le migliori prestazio-

ni del motore.

To do this:

1. Place the vehicle over the side stand

2. Turn the key as it is shown in figure

3. Remove the seat by pulling it towards

the back of the vehicle.

The installation of the seat is done in

the reverse order of removal.

Procedimenti per l’avviamento

1. Inserire il cavalletto;

2. Mettere in folle;

3. Inserire la chiave nel commutatore e

ruotarla nella posizione

!. Con il cava-

lletto abbassato ed il cambio in folle.

4. Ruotare un 1/4 di giro il comando acce-

lleratore premendo il pulsante d’avvia-

mento;

5. Con il motore avviato il test N si spegne

quando si inserisce una marcia.

Se si inserisce una marcia, si può

avviare il motore con la leva della frizione

attivata.

Non avviare il motore in locali

chiusi, poiché i gas di scarico sono

altamente tossici.

Procedimento per l’avviamento con il

motore a freddo

1. Tirare completamente la leva dello star-

ter come indicato nella fig. 1.

2. Mantenendo leggermente aperto il

comando acceleratore, premere il pul-

sante d’avviamento.
