VVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA
!ATTENZIONE! Prima di utilizzare il prodotto
leggere tutte le avvertenze e tutte le istruzioni.
Utilizzate il prodotto solo nei modi descritti in
queste istruzioni. Non utilizzatelo per scopi a cui
non è destinato.
Conservare tutte le avvertenze e le istruzioni per
riferimenti futuri.
L’ attenuazione dei DPI deve porsi come obiettivo
di minimizzare il rischio da rumore, e in ogni caso,
garantire che non si superino i limiti di esposizione.
Il livello di rumore che entra nell’orecchio di una
persona quando la protezione acustica è indossata
come prescritto, è approssimativamente stabilita
dalla differenza tra il livello di rumore ambientale
e il livello ponderato medio di attenuazione SNR.
Esempio:
1. il livello di rumore ambientale all’orecchio è di
100dB (A)
2. il livello medio di attenuazione SNR è di 27 dB.
3. il livello di rumore che entra nell’orecchio è ap-
prossimativamente uguale a 73dB(A)
Il DPI in oggetto è utile esclusivamente per ridurre
i danni dovuti al rumore sull’apparato uditivo.
Ogni altro utilizzo è da considerarsi vietato.
a) Il portatore deve garantire che:
- le cuffie siano indossate, regolate e manutenute
in conformità alle istruzioni
- le cuffie siano sempre indossate in ambienti rumorosi
- le cuffie siano sottoposte a regolari controlli per
valutarne lo stato di efficienza.
b) ATTENZIONE! Se non sono rispettate le raccoman-
dazioni riportate al punto a), la protezione offerta
dalle cuffie risulta gravemente compromessa.
c) Per la pulizia e la disinfezione utilizzare solo so-
stanze note per non essere nocive per il portatore.
d) Questo prodotto può essere danneggiato dall’uso
di determinate sostanze chimiche. Non utilizzate
detergenti aggressivi, alcool, solventi, abrasivi ecc.

e) Le cuffie e in particolare i cuscinetti, possono
deteriorarsi con l’uso e devono essere sottoposti
a controlli frequenti per verificare, per esempio,
la presenza di rotture e perdite. In questo caso
il prodoto si intende non più idoneo all’uso,
scaduto e quindi da sostituire.
f) L’applicazione di protezioni igieniche ai cusci-
netti, l’uso di occhiali con montatura spessa
o un passamontagna potrebbero influenzare
la prestazione acustica delle cuffie riducendo
l’attenuazione del rumore.
g) Non modificate o alterate in alcun modo il
prodotto per non compromettere l’efficacia della
protezione offerta.
h) Consultate il vostro responsabile della sicu-
rezza per assicurarvi che il grado di protezione
offerto dai dispositivi indossati, sia adeguato
all’ambiente rumoroso in cui operate. Una scelta
errata (sovra/sotto protezione) può causare
gravi danni all’udito.
i) L’uso delle cuffie antirumore riduce anche even-
tuali avvertimenti sonori per richiamare la vostra
attenzione (esempio il clacson di un veicolo o
l’allarme antincendio di un edificio), evitate quindi
di stazionare in luoghi di transito e osservate
sempre con attenzione l’area in cui operate.
ISTRUZIONI D’USO
Queste cuffie sono di taglia adatta alla maggior parte
dei portatori; in casi particolari è necessario utiliz-
zare cuffie di taglia piccola o taglia grande, eseguite
perciò una prova infilandole sul capo.

- afferrate le cuffie con entrambe le mani e allargatele
leggermente senza forzare
- infilatele sul capo prestando attenzione a non
interporre i capelli lunghi sulle orecchie
- adattate i 2 cuscinetti nelle orecchie per consentire
la tenuta acustica
- aggiustate l’archetto in modo che aderisca sul capo.

- non interponete i capelli lunghi tra orecchie e cuffie
- non posizionate le cuffie in modo errato.
MANUTENZIONE
Pulite i cuscinetti e le calotte interne con acqua
tiepida e sapone neutro, risciacquare e asciugare
bene prima di riutilizzali.
Pulite le conchiglie e l’archetto con un straccio per
eliminare la polvere.
Non immergete i componenti nell’acqua.
Attenzione: Prima di ogni uso osservate con
attenzione che non ci siano crepe o alterazione
su archetto, cuscini, materiale fonoassorbente,
rivestimento dell’auricolare (conchiglia).
Nel caso fosse rilevata qualsiasi tipo di altera-
zione procedere con lo smaltimento del prodotto.
IMMAGAZZINAMENTO
Dopo l’uso effettuate una accurata pulizia di tutto il
prodotto (vedi Manutenzione) ed utilizzate l’imballo
originale per proteggerlo.
Riponete il prodotto lontano dalla portata dei bambi-
ni, in posizione stabile e sicura. Il luogo dovrà essere
asciutto, privo da polveri, temperato e protetto dai
raggi solari diretti.
SMALTIMENTO
Per la salvaguardia ambientale procedete secondo le
leggi vigenti del Paese in cui vi trovate; rivolgetevi alle
autorità competenti per maggiori notizie in merito.
Quando il prodotto non è più utilizzabile, conse-
gnatelo con l’imballo ad un punto di raccolta per
il riciclaggio.

Le cuffie acustiche Valex sono state progettate e rea-
lizzate in conformità alla vigente legislazione europea
in materia di Dispositivi di Protezione Individuali.

Avvertenza: Queste cuffie sono di ‘taglia grande’. Le
cuffie conformi alla EN 352-1 sono di ‘taglia media’
o di ‘taglia piccola’ o di ‘taglia grande’. Le cuffie di
‘taglia piccola’ o di ‘taglia grande’ sono destinate
ai portatori per i quali non sono adatte le cuffie di
‘taglia media’.

GARANZIA
Il prodotto è tutelato a norma di legge contro non
conformità rispetto alle caratteristiche dichiarate
purché sia stato utilizzato esclusivamente nel modo
descritto dalle istruzioni, non sia stato manomesso
in alcun modo, sia stato conservato correttamen-
te, sia stato riparato da tecnici autorizzati e, ove
previsto, siano stati utilizzati solo ricambi originali.
In caso di utilizzo industriale o professionale oppure
in caso di impiego simile la garanzia ha validità di
12 mesi.
Per emettere una richiesta di intervento in garanzia
è necessario presentare la prova di acquisto al
rivenditore o ad centro assistenza autorizzato.

SAFETY WARNINGS
!IMPORTANT! Before using this product read

Only use the product as instructed in this
manual. Do not use it for purposes for which it
was not intended.
Store all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
The attenuation of the PPE (Personal Protective
Equipment) should minimise noise risk and, in
any case, ensure that exposure limits are not
exceeded.
The noise level entering the ear of a person when
hearing protection is worn as directed, is appro-
ximately established by the difference between
the ambient noise level and the weighted mean
attenuation level SNR (Single Noise Rating).
Example:
1. the ambient noise level for the ear is 100 dB (A)
2. the mean attenuation level SNR is 27 dB
3. the level of noise entering the ear is approxi-
mately equal to 73 dB (A)
The PPE in question is useful exclusively for
reducing the damages caused by noise to the
auditory system.
Any other use should be considered forbidden.
a) The user must ensure that:
- the earmuffs are worn, adjusted and maintai-
ned in compliance with the instructions
- the earmuffs are always worn in noisy envi-
ronments
- the earmuffs are subject to regular inspec-
tions to evaluate their effectiveness
b) WARNING! If the recommendations listed
in point a) are not complied with, the pro-
tection offered by the earmuffs is seriously
compromised.
c) To clean and disinfect, only use substances
known not to be harmful to the user.
d) This product may be damaged by certain che-
mical substances. Do not use aggressive de-
tergents, alcohols, solvents, abrasives, etc. For
more information, contact the manufacturer.
e) The earmuffs and the ear cushions in par-
ticular, may deteriorate with use and must
be subject to frequent inspections to check,
for example, for the presence of cracks and
leaks. In this case, the product is considered
no longer suitable for use, it has expired and
should be replaced.
f) Applying hygienic protection to the ear
cushions, using glasses with a thick frame
or a balaclava may influence the acoustic
performance of the earmuffs reducing noise
attenuation.
g) Do not modify or alter the product in any way
in order to not compromise the effectiveness
of the protection given.
h) Consult your safety manager to ensure that
the degree of protection offered by the devices
used is suitable for the noisy environment in
which you operate. A wrong choice (over/
under protection) may cause serious damage
to your hearing.
i) Using the safety earmuffs also attenuates any
warning sounds used to draw your attention
(such as the horn of a vehicle, or the fire
alarm of a building): therefore, do not station
yourself in transit areas and always closely
observe the area in which you operate.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
These earmuffs are the correct size for the majo-
rity of users; in certain cases, it is necessary to
use small or large size earmuffs: therefore, test
them by wearing them.

- grab the earmuffs with both hands and gently
widen them without forcing
- slip them over your head taking care not to let
long hair hang over your ears
- adjust the two ear cushions over your ears to
enable acoustic seal
- adjust the headband so that it adheres to your head

- do not wear the earmuffs incorrectly
MAINTENANCE
Clean the ear cushions and the inner cups with
lukewarm water and a mild soap, rinse and dry
thoroughly before reusing.
Clean the shells and the headband with a cloth
to remove dust.
Do not immerse the components in water.
Caution! Before each use, check closely for
cracks or alterations to the headband, ear
cushions, sound-absorbing material, earpiece
coating (shell).
In the event any alteration is found, dispose of
the product.
STORAGE
After using, thoroughly clean the entire product
(see Maintenance) and use the original packaging
to protect it.
Store the product in a stable and safe position
out of children’s reach. The place must be dry,
free from dust, temperate and protected from
direct sunlight.
DISPOSAL
In order to protect the environment, proceed
according to the local laws in force. Contact the
relevant authorities for more information.
When the product is no longer usable, deliver
the product and packaging to a recycling centre.

medium” or “size small” or “size large”. The ear-
muffs in “size small” or “size large” are for those
users on whom “size medium” earmuffs do not fit.

WARRANTY
The product is protected by law against non-
compliance with the declared characteristics
provided it is used only in the manner described
in the instructions, it has not been tampered with
in any way, it has been stored properly, has been
repaired by authorized and, where applicable,
have been used only original spare parts.
In the case of industrial or professional use or
when using such a guarantee is valid for 12
months.
To issue a claim under warranty you must present
proof of purchase to your dealer or authorized
service center.
