2Preparing the remote

control

A Lithium battery (CR2025) has already been inserted into the remote

control. Pull out the insulation sheet as follows so as to use the

remote control.

Operating range of the remote control

The remote control can be used to control the functions of this

product. When using the remote control, point the remote control at

the remote control sensor of the sound bar within the range shown in

the following illustration:

4Connecting to a TV

Connect to a TV using the HDMI cable (included)

Connect to an HDMI input jack compatible with Audio Return Channel (labeled as “eARC” or “ARC”) on the TV using the included HDMI cable.

NOTE

• Be sure to use the included HDMI cable.

• When connecting to a TV not compatible with ARC or connecting to an audio device, follow the connection procedure described in the User

Guide.

5Connecting to power

After connecting the sound bar to the TV, connect the sound bar to

power as follows:

1Turn on the TV.

When the the HDMI Control function of the TV is enabled (p. 8),

the sound bar will also turn on. In this case, go to Step 4.

2Turn on the sound bar.

Press the power button on the remote control.

3Press TV.

4Press VOLUME (+/−) to adjust the volume.

HDMI Control function

NOTE

• When the sound bar is connected to a TV via HDMI cable, confirm that the TV’s settings are properly configured as follows:

- The TV’s HDMI Control function is enabled.

- The audio output is not set to the TV speakers.

• Connect AV devices, such as BD/DVD players and set top boxes, to the TV’s HDMI input jacks.

When the sound bar is connected to the HDMI input jack

compatible with Audio Return Channel (labeled as “eARC” or

“ARC”) on a TV via an HDMI cable, control signals are

transmitted from the TV to the sound bar.

This will enable you to use the HDMI Control function to control

the sound bar using the TV’s remote control. Also, the TV audio

signal is transmitted to the sound bar via the HDMI cable.

Therefore, the sound bar can be connected to a TV using a

single HDMI cable.

Listening to audio with sound that matches the video or

music content (Sound mode)

A sound mode can be selected from among three sound modes that

produce surround-sound fields and one sound mode for stereo

playback. This function is STANDARD by default.

STEREO

This sound mode provides stereo playback. This sound mode

is best suited for music playback.

STANDARD

This sound mode provides surround playback that is best

suited for TV programs such as sports broadcasts. It

emphasizes human voices and makes them easier to hear,

while creating a sense of presence.

MOVIE

This sound mode provides surround playback that is best

suited for movies. It creates a sound space that seems to

envelop your body.

GAME

This sound mode provides surround playback that is best

suited for video games. Accurate localization of individual

sound effects provides a highly immersive gaming experience.

bPlaying back human voices clearly (CLEAR VOICE)

The human voices within the audio can be heard more easily when

the Clear Voice function is enabled. The function is recommended

for playback at a low volume and for movies or dramas that use a lot

of background music and sound effects.

Press CLEAR VOICE to enable or disable this function.

cEnjoying rich bass sound (BASS EXT)

The bass sound is enhanced and becomes richer when the Bass

Extension function is enabled.

Press BASS EXT to enable or disable this function.

Audio content from a Bluetooth device (such as a smartphone) can

be played through the sound bar.

1Press BLUETOOTH on the remote control to switch

the input source to Bluetooth.

2On the Bluetooth device, enable the Bluetooth

function.

A list of Bluetooth devices that can be connected is displayed on

the screen of the Bluetooth device.

3Select “Yamaha ATS-B300” or “ATS-B300” within the

list.

4Play a song on the Bluetooth device when the

connection is established.

The sound bar will begin playing audio from the Bluetooth

device.

NOTE

This product can be connected to two Bluetooth devices

simultaneously (multipoint connection). To switch between two

Bluetooth devices to be played, stop playback on the currently playing

device and then start playback on the other.

By installing the free dedicated app “

” on a smartphone, the sound bar can also be

controlled from that smartphone. The app allows you to

control the sound bar while checking the sound bar

settings currently applied, such as sound mode and

volume adjustment of each frequency range (tone

control), via the app’s screen.

Search for “ ” on the App Store or

Google Play and install it on the smartphone.

For details on the app, see the description of the app on

the App Store or Google Play.

NOTE

• To control the sound bar using the app, configure the settings on

your smartphone as follows:

- Enable the Bluetooth function.

- For devices using the Android 11 OS or earlier, configure the

settings to allow location information to be obtained.

The Sound Bar Remote app uses location information from the

Android device only to detect the sound bar. The acquired location

information will not be used for any other purpose.

- For devices using the Android 12 OS or later, configure the

settings to allow the use of nearby devices.

• This sound bar is only compatible with the Sound Bar Remote app.

The sound bar cannot be controlled using other apps (such as

Sound Bar Controller).

4Raccordement à un téléviseur

Raccordement à un téléviseur au moyen d'un câble HDMI (inclus)

Procédez au raccordement sur une prise d'entrée HDMI compatible avec la fonction Audio Return Channel (étiquetée « eARC » ou « ARC ») du

Fonction de contrôle HDMI

NOTE

• Lorsque la barre de son est raccordée à un téléviseur via un câble HDMI, vérifiez que les réglages du téléviseur sont configurés correctement

comme suit :

- La fonction de contrôle HDMI du téléviseur est activée.

- La sortie audio n'est pas réglée sur les enceintes du téléviseur.

• Connectez des appareils audio-vidéo, tels que des lecteurs BD/DVD et des décodeurs, aux prises d'entrée HDMI du téléviseur.

Lorsque la barre de son est raccordée à la prise d'entrée HDMI

compatible avec la fonction Audio Return Channel (étiquetée

« eARC » ou « ARC ») d'un téléviseur via un câble HDMI, les

signaux de commande sont transmis du téléviseur à la barre de

son.

Écoute audio avec un son qui correspond au contenu

Un mode sonore peut être sélectionné parmi trois modes sonores

produisant des champs de son Surround et un mode sonore pour la

lecture stéréo. Cette fonction est réglée sur STANDARD par défaut.

STEREO

Ce mode sonore fournit une lecture stéréo. Ce mode sonore

est idéal pour la lecture de musique.

STANDARD

Ce mode sonore fournit une lecture Surround qui convient le

mieux aux programmes télévisés comme les émissions

sportives. Il accentue les voix humaines et les rend plus faciles

à entendre, tout en créant un sentiment de présence.

MOVIE

Ce mode sonore fournit une lecture Surround idéale pour les

films. Il crée un espace sonore qui semble envelopper votre

corps.

GAME

Ce mode sonore fournit une lecture Surround qui convient le

mieux aux jeux vidéo. La localisation précise des effets

sonores individuels fournit une expérience de jeu extrêmement

immersive.

bLecture claire des voix humaines (CLEAR VOICE)

Les voix humaines dans le contenu audio peuvent être plus

audibles lorsque la fonction Clear Voice est activée. La fonction est

recommandée pour la lecture à bas volume ou pour les films ou les

1Appuyez sur BLUETOOTH de la télécommande pour

• Pour contrôler la barre de son au moyen de l'application, configurez

les réglages de votre smartphone comme suit :

- Activez la fonction Bluetooth.

informations de localisation.

L'application Sound Bar Remote utilise les informations de

localisation de l'appareil Android uniquement pour détecter la
