Installaon or removal
Detailed informaon demonstrang the dif-
ferent ways of installing or removing a radi-
ator heang element is available from the
manufacturer or importer (see footnotes at
the end of the manual). Below we list some
basic requirements and principles which
must be followed to ensure long term, relia-
ble operaon of the product.
150°
When the heang element is installed hor-
izontally, it must be rotated to such an ex-
tent that the single tube, which houses the
temperature sensor, is posioned as low as
possible.
Before installaon or rst use:
1. Read the chapter Safety requirements
—Installaon.
2. Fit the heang element using the cor-
rect spanner (size 22).
3. The heang element must be installed
at the boom of the radiator, perpen-
dicular to the radiator pipes, while pre-
serving space for the proper circulaon
of the heang medium.
4. Use a suitable heang medium for ll-
ing the electric radiator, i.e. (water, spe-
cial products based on water and glycol
for use in central heang systems, or oil
which complies with the requirements
of the manufacturer of the radiator and
heang element).
8% (20°C)
14 User manual TDY www.termaheat.pl
5. Check the distances between the indi-
vidual heang element tubes and bend
if necessary.
5 mm
2-3 mm
6. Do not switch the heang element on if
it is not fully immersed in radiator heat-
ing medium.
7. Make sure an adequate air cushion is pre-
sent to protect against excessive pressure
build up within the heater (always leave
one of the radiator valves open).
8. When lling the radiator with hot liquid
insure that the liquid temperature does
not exceed 65° C.
9. Follow the subsequent guidelines when
connecng the electrical installaon:
a. Brown wire — live connecon to the
circuit (L).
b. Blue wire — connect to neutral (N)
c. Yellow & green wire — earth con-
necon (PE).
10. Before filling the radiator with heating
medium, ensure that the heang element
is ed properly and that it is water ght.
11. In central heating installation radiator
must be ed with the valves enabling
disconnecon of the radiator from the
rest of the system.
12. The temperature of the heang agent
in the central heang system must not
exceed 82° C!
13. For detailed installation hints — see
the last pages of this manual.
Notes prior to removal:
1. Before dismantling permanently, discon-
nect the heang element from the mains
and ensure that the radiator is not hot.
2. Be aware. A radiator filled with liquid
can be very heavy. When moving the
radiator, ensure that you take the nec-
essary safety precauons.
3. Before disassembly, close the appropri-
ate valves and drain the radiator com-
pletely to avoid causing any damage.

TDY
The TDY heang element has 3 temperature
sengs and an automac turn-o switch.
The LED indicator shows, aer each seng
change, the currently set temperature lev-
el as well as me remaining unl the end of
a heang cycle. Each seng change is also
conrmed by a corresponding beep.
The built-in temperature sensor prevents
the radiator from freezing when tempera-
ture falls below 5-7°C.
How to operate TDY
To switch on the heang element, press the
buon. The red LED light, indicates that the
heang element is on and operang. The cor-
responding double beep conrms that the
device has been either switched on or o.

Red LED indicator
on/o buon
Every me the device is switched on, the
countdown mer is reacvated — 5 blue
LEDs light up. The factory default mer set-
ng is 120 minutes (it is possible to change
the countdown mer range between 60-180
min in the advanced sengs mode).
How to read the countdown mer
The number of lit up, blue LEDs tells you how
much me is le unl the end of the heang
cycle: the me of one LED is equal to 2/10
(20%) of the total countdown me, this is ad-
dionally divided into 2 equal parts when the
LED glows connuously or ashes. This way

you can easily read the remaining me le
to the end of the heang cycle to 1/10 (10%)
accuracy. Depending on the preset total op-
erang me (60-90-120-150-180 minutes),
the shortest me indicated by your device
will be 6-18 minutes.
Each LED, rst glows connuously for 1/10
of the set me, and for another 1/10 of the
set me, it ashes and then goes out. The
red LED glows constantly throughout the op-
eraon me unl the unit switches itself o.
Example for default factory seng
(working me = 120 min)
immediately aer switching the device
on, all blue LEDs light up,
aer 12 minutes the last LED starts ash-
ing and aer further 12 minutes the LED
goes out.
Each LED rst glows connuously for 12
minutes, then ashes for further 12 min-
utes and goes out and so on unl the full
heang cycle me is up and the device
turns itself o.
How to set the operang
temperature
To set the operang temperature of the heat-
ing element:
briey press buon — the rst press
puts the heating element into setting
mode — the red LED goes out and a sin-
gle blue LED ashes, indicang the cur-
rent temperature seng,
another press on the buon will change
the temperature — the corresponding
blue LED ashes and a single beep is emit-
ted (characterisc high pitch sound indi-
cates 40°C seng, the remaining two
temperature sengs are indicated by
low pitch sound).
Temperature seng
Display of operang temperature 40°C 50°C 60°C
Each me the temperature seng is changed,
a single, corresponding LED ashes for 3 sec-
onds. Aer the 3 seconds the heang ele-
ment returns to operaon with the new set-
ngs applied- the red LED lights up and the
LED display shows the countdown mer.
Please note: During operaon, it is possible
to change the temperature any number of
mes, seng the new temperature does not
aect the countdown mer. It is possible to
manually turn o the device at any me.

How to enable/disable sound
nocaons
When the heang element is o, press and
hold buon for 5 seconds — special triple
beep conrms the change of sengs:
sound nocaon is enabled and con-
firmed by the following sequence of
sounds: low-low-high.
sound nocaon is disabled and con-
firmed by the following sequence of
sounds: high-high-low.
Troubleshoong
Please note: The control system of the heat-
ing element acvates it only when the radi-
ator temperature is lower than the set tem-
perature. When the required temperature
is reached, the heang element will then
switch itself on and o automacally, only to
maintain the set temperature. Consequently,
the electricity consumpon is signicantly
lower than the theorecal calculaon based
on the nominal power of the heang element.
The design as well as the physical character-
iscs of various heang media may cause
uneven temperature distribuon inside the
radiator, including the case where the lower
radiator tubes may be cold. Such occurrence
is completely normal and does not indicate
fault of the heang element.
