Safety instructions

to be connected only to PoE networks without routing to
the outside plant.
• The socket outlet for the power adaptor must be near
the equipment and easily accessible.
• Mount the device only at heights not exceeding 2m.

applicable documentation of the device.
• If the phone is not supplied with power via the
Ethernet cable, use only a power adapter expressly
recommended by Snom Technology. Other power
supplies may damage or destroy the phone, aect its
behavior, or induce noise.
• Avoid placing the cables where people may trip over
them or where they may be exposed to mechanical
pressure as this may damage them.
• This device is for indoor use only! NOT FOR OUTDOOR
USE!
• The operating temperature is between 0–40 °C.
• Do not install the device in rooms with high humidity
(for example, in bathrooms, laundry rooms, damp
basements). Do not immerse the device in water and
do not spill or pour liquids of any kind onto or into the
device.
• Do not install the device in surroundings at risk for
explosions (paint shops, for example). Do not use the
device if you smell gas or other potentially explosive
fumes.
• Do not use the device during thunderstorms. Lightning
striking the power grid may cause electric shocks.
• Warning: The handset contains a magnet, and its
earpiece may attract small dangerous objects such as
needles or pins. Please ensure before each use that no
such objects are present.
• Safety status of input/output connections comply with
SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) requirements.
Warning: To avoid electric shock, do not connect safety
extra-low voltage (SELV) circuits to telephone-network
voltage (TNV) circuits. LAN ports contain SELV circuits,
and PSTN ports contain TNV circuits. Some LAN and
PSTN ports both use RJ-45 (8P8C) connectors. Use
caution when connecting cables.
Important battery information
This product uses a rechargeable Ni-MH battery, 2.4V,
550 mAh, manufacturer Corun. Only use the battery
that came with the handset or the replacement battery,
Snom PN 00004627. Do not use any other type of battery
since this may lead to leakage, re, explosion, or other
dangerous situations. Never disassemble, alter, or short-
circuit batteries or use them for purposes other than the
intended one. Charge battery only within the handset
placed in the charger that came with the product.
Charging and discharging, storage
• The full performance of a new battery is achieved only
after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles.
• The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds
of times, but it will eventually wear out. Use only Snom
Technology GmbH approved batteries.
• If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose
its charge over time. If the battery is completely
discharged, it may take a few minutes before the
charging indicator appears on the display.
• Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Do not
short-circuit the battery. Short-circuiting the terminals
may damage the battery or the connecting object.
Do not use a damaged charger or battery. Using a
damaged battery may cause it to explode.
• Do not place or store the battery, inside or outside the
handset, in the immediate vicinity of open re or other
heat sources.
• Leaving the battery in hot or cold places will reduce
its capacity and lifetime. Charge batteries within an
ambient temperature range of +5 °C to +40 °C. A device
with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily,
even when the battery is fully charged.
• Avoid overcharging. Repeated overcharging can lead
to deterioration in battery performance. Never attempt
charging the battery with reversed polarity as this may
cause the gas pressure inside the battery to rise and
lead to leakages.
• Remove battery if storing phone for more than 1 month.
• Store battery in a cool, dry place without corrosive
gases. Temperature range for storage up to 3 months:
-20 °C to 35 °C . Storage up to 6 months: Charge
battery to 30% to 70% of its capacity and store at +5 °C
and +25 °C.
Battery Disposal
Defective or exhausted batteries should never be disposed
of as municipal waste. Return old batteries to the battery
supplier, a licensed battery dealer or a designated
collection facility. Do not incinerate batteries.

safety, and environmental requirements of all
relevant European directives and UK and AU
legislation. The declaration of conformity can be

Unauthorized opening, changing, or modifying the
device will cause the warranty to lapse and may

disposed of with general household garbage. If
you do not know where you may dispose of the battery at
the end of its lifespan, contact your municipality, your local

Laden und Entladen des Akkus, Aufbewahrung
• Ein neuer Akku erreicht seine volle Leistung erst, nach-
dem er zwei- oder dreimal vollständig ge- und entladen
wurde.
• Der Akku kann mehrere hundert Mal ge- und entladen
werden, nutzt sich aber im Laufe der Zeit ab. Verwen-
den Sie ausschließlich von der snom Technology GmbH
freigegebene Akkus.
• Bei Nichtgebrauch entlädt sich ein voll aufgeladener
Akku mit der Zeit. Ist der Akku vollständig entladen,
dauert es möglicherweise einige Minuten, bis die Lade-
anzeige im Handgerät (Display) einge-blendet wird oder
Sie Anrufe tätigen können.
• Benutzen Sie den Akku nur für den vorgesehenen
Zweck. Benutzen Sie keine beschädigten Ladegeräte
oder Akkus. Schließen Sie den Akku nicht kurz. Durch
Kurzschließen der Pole können der Akku oder der ver-
bindende Gegenstand beschädigt werden. Beschädigte
Akkus können explodieren!
• Bewahren Sie den Akku niemals in unmittelbarer Nähe

ratur von 5 °C bis 40 °C. Ein Gerät mit einem kalten oder
warmen Akku funktioniert unter Umständen vorüberge-
hend nicht, selbst wenn der Akku vollständig geladen ist.
• Vermeiden Sie eine Überladung des Akkus, da sie zu ei-
ner übermäßigen Alterung führt. Laden Sie niemals den
Akku mit verkehrter Polarität, da dies zu Gasbildungen
im Inneren des Akkus führen kann, welche wiederrum
Leckagen herbeiführen können.
• Nehmen Sie den Akku aus dem Telefon, wenn Sie es für
länger als einen Monat lagern wollen.
• Laden Sie den Akku bis zu 30% bis 70% seiner Kapazität
auf und lagern Sie ihn an einem kühlen Ort mit niedriger
Luftfeuchtigkeit und ohne korrosive Gase. Lagertem-
peraturen: Für die Lagerung bis zu drei Monaten sind
Temperaturen von -20 °C bis 35 °C, für die Lagerung bis

Seguridad

Información importante de batería
Este producto usa una batería Ni-MH recargable de 2.4V,
550 mAh 3.7V, 1100mAh, fabricante Corun Utilizar exclu-
sivamente la batería suministrada junto con el teléfono o
la batería de recambio, Snom art. no 00004627. No use
otros tipos de batería, podrían provocar fugas, incendio,
explosión, u otras situaciones peligrosas. Para cambiar o
retirar la batería, debe retirar primero la tapa de la batería
del teléfono. No desmonte, modique ni cortocircuite las
baterías, ni las use para nes distintos al previsto. Cargar
la batería solo cuando ésta se encuentre en el interior del
teléfono utilizando únicamente el cargador suministrado
junto con el producto.
Carga y descarga, almacenaje
• El teléfono se alimenta mediante una batería recargab-
le. El rendimiento completo de una batería nueva sólo
se consigue después de dos o tres ciclos de carga y
descarga completos.
• La batería puede cargarse y descargarse centenares de
veces, pero eventualmente se descargará. Use exclusiva-
mente baterías aprobadas por Snom Technology GmbH.
• Si se deja sin uso, una batería totalmente cargada per-
derá su carga con el tiempo. Si la batería está totalmen-
te descargada, pueden pasar unos minutos hasta que el
indicador de carga aparezca en la pantalla.
• Use la batería solamente para su nalidad. No cortocir-
cuite la batería. Cortocircuitar los terminales puede da-
ñar la batería o el objeto conectado. NO use un cargador
o batería dañados. Usar una batería dañada puede hacer
que explote.
• No ponga ni guarde la batería, dentro o fuera del teléfo-
no, cerca de llama abierta ni otras fuentes de calor.
• Dejar la batería en lugares calientes o fríos reducirá
su capacidad y vida útil. Cargue las baterías con una
temperatura ambiente de entre +5 °C y +40 °C (41 °F y
104 °F). Los dispositivos con baterías en caliente o frío
pueden dejar de funcionar temporalmente aunque la
batería esté totalmente cargada.
• Evite sobrecargarlas. Sobrecargarlas repetidamente
puede provocar un deterioro en el rendimiento de la ba-
tería. No intente nunca cargar la batería con la polaridad
invertida, podría hacer que la presión del gas dentro de

Batterie
Cet appareil utilise une batterie rechargeable Ni-MH, 2.4V,
550 mAh, fabricant Corun. N'utilisez que des batteries
fournis avec le combiné ou la batterie de rechange, Snom
no art. 00004627. N'utilisez aucun autre batterie ou un au-
tre type de batterie pour ne pas courir un risque de fuite,
d'incendie, d'explosion ou d'autres situations dangereuses.
Ne démontez, n'altérez et ne court-circuitez jamais les
batteries et ne les utilisez jamais dans un but pour lequel
ils n'ont pas été prévus. Chargez la batterie seulement
dans le combiné avec le chargeur et l'adaptateur qui vous
avez reçu avec l'appareil.
Chargement et déchargement, stockage de la batterie
• Une batterie neuve n'ore ses meilleures performan-
ces qu'après deux ou trois cycles de chargement et de
déchargement complets.
• La batterie peut être chargée et déchargée des centai-
nes de fois mais nira par s'épuiser. N'utilisez que des
accus approuvées par Snom Technology GmbH.
• Si il n'est pas utilisé, un accu complètement chargé se
décharge peu à peu. Si la batterie est complètement
déchargée, il peut prendre quelques minutes avant que
l'indicateur de chargement s'ache sur l'écran.
• Il faut toujours utiliser la batterie dans le seul but qui a
été prévu. Ne court-circuitez pas la batterie. La batterie
et un appareil connecté peuvent être endommagés
par la mise en court-circuit des bornes de la batterie.
N'utilisez pas une batterie défectueux ou un chargeur
défectueux. L'utilisation d'une batterie défectueux peut
la faire exploser!
• Ne placez pas et ne stockez pas la batterie, que ce soit à
l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur du combiné, à proximité immé-
diate d'une amme nue ou d'autres sources de chaleur.
• Laisser la batterie dans un endroit chaud ou froid rédu-
ira sa capacité et sa durée de vie. Rechargez la batterie
avec une température ambiante comprise entre +5 °C et
+40 °C. Un appareil dont la batterie est trop chaude ou
trop froide peut cesser temporairement de fonctionner,
même si la batterie est complètement rechargée.
• Évitez la surcharge de la batterie. Des surcharges répé-
tées peuvent occasionner la détérioration de la perfor-
mance de la batterie. Ne tentez jamais de rechargez la
batterie en inversant sa polarité car ceci pourrait causer
la formation de gaz dans la batterie qui, à son tour, peut
provoquer des fuites.
• Retirez la batterie si vous stockez le téléphone pour plus
q'un mois et rangez la batterie dans un endroit sec et
peu humide, à l'abri des gaz corrosifs.
• Pour un stockage jusqu'à 3 mois, conservez la batterie à
une température comprise entre -20 °C et +35 °C. Pour
un stockage jusqu'à 6 mois: Chargez la batterie entre
30% à 70% de sa capacité et le stockez à une tempéra-
ture comprise entre +5 °C and +25 °C.

Non separate, modicate o provocate il corto circuito
delle batterie e non utilizzatele per scopi diversi da quelli
previsti. Caricare la batteria solamente quando si trova
all'interno del telefono, utilizzando il caricabatterie fornito
insieme al prodotto.
Ricaricare, scaricare e conservare
• Una nuova batteria raggiunge la piena prestazione solo
dopo che è stata scaricata e ricaricata completamente
per due o tre volte.
• La batteria può essere ricaricata e scaricata centinaia di
volte ma alla ne il suo ciclo di vita si esaurisce. Utiliz-
zare batterie conformi alla Snom Technology GmbH.
• Se non utilizzata per molto tempo, la batteria carica
potrebbe scaricarsi da sola. Quando la batteria è
completamente scarica, potrebbero volerci alcuni minuti

potrebbe non funzionare temporaneamente anche se

• Evitare di caricare più del dovuto. Ciò potrebbe deter-
minare nel tempo la riduzione delle prestazioni della
batteria. Non provare mai a ricaricare la batteria con le
polarità invertite. Ciò potrebbe provocare l’aumento di
pressione del gas contenuto nella batteria o perdite di
liquido.
