What is Included

To Begin

Unpack the COLORband PiX ILS and make sure all parts have been received in good condition. If the box or contents

appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

• ONLY connect this product to a grounded and protected circuit.

• DISCONNECT from power before cleaning or replacing the fuse.

• DO NOT look at the light source when the product is on.

• Make sure the power cord is not crimped or damaged.

• Never disconnect this product from power by pulling on the cord.

• When mounting this product overhead, ALWAYS use a safety cable.

• DO NOT allow flammable materials close to the product when it is operating.

• DO NOT touch the product’s housing when it is on because it will be hot.

• The voltage of the outlet to which you are connecting this product must be within the range stated on the

decal or rear panel of the product.

• This product is for indoor use only! (IP20) To prevent risk of fire or shock, do not expose this product to rain

or moisture.

• Always mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 in (50 cm) from adjacent

surfaces.

• Be sure that no ventilation slots on the unit’s housing are blocked.

• Never connect this product to a dimmer or rheostat.

• Replace the fuse with the same type and rating.

• Never carry the product by the power cord. Use only the hanging bracket or handle to carry this product.

• The maximum ambient temperature is 104 °F (40 °C). Do not operate this product at higher temperatures.

• In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using immediately.

• DO NOT open this product. It contains no user-serviceable parts.

• To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

Power Linking

It is possible to power link up to 19 COLORband PiX ILS products on 120 VAC or up to 35 COLORband PiX ILS products

on 230 VAC.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect the product from power.

2. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder and pull it straight out.

3. Remove the blown fuse from the holder and replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.

4. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The COLORband PiX ILS can work with a DMX controller. If you are not familiar with DMX, download the DMX Primer

from www.chauvetdj.com.

Starting Address

To ensure full access to all channels available in each DMX mode, the highest recommended DMX address is 472.

Master/Slave Connection

The COLORband PiX ILS uses the DMX data connection for its Master/Slave mode.

RFC (Radio Frequency Control) and RFC-XL

The COLORband PiX ILS can be operated with the CHAUVET RFC and RFC-XL.

D-Fi USB Connectivity

The COLORband PiX ILS is able to become a D-Fi wireless receiver/transmitter with the use of the D-Fi USB from

CHAUVET DJ. Simply set the DIP switch D-Fi receiving/transmitting channel, plug it into the USB port then set the

product's DMX Personality and DMX Address.

Master/Slave Mode (D-Fi USB)

The D-Fi USB allows a single COLORband PiX ILS product (the “master”) to control the actions of one or more

COLORband PiX ILS products (the “slaves”) without the need of a DMX controller or DMX cables. The master

(transmitter) product will be set to operate in standalone mode, while the slave (receiver) products will be set to operate in

DMX mode. Once set and connected, the slave products will operate in unison with the master product.

Configure the products as indicated below.

Slave products:

1. Press <MENU> repeatedly until 9-Ch shows on the display.

2. Press <ENTER>.

3. Use <UP> or <DOWN> to set the starting address to d 1.

4. Press <ENTER>.

5. Set the D-Fi USB to receive on a specific channel, 1–16.

6. Plug in the D-Fi USB.

7. Finish setting and connecting all the slave products.

Master product:

1. Set the master product to operate in standalone mode.

2. Set the D-Fi USB to transmit on the D-Fi channel the slaves are receiving on.

3. Plug in the D-Fi USB.

ILS Mode

ILS (Integrated Lighting System) provides 4 modes that synchronize with the GigBAR MOVE+ILS: Modes 1 and 3

synchronize with side 1 of the GigBAR MOVE+ILS, whereas modes 2 and 4 synchronize with side 2 of the GigBAR

MOVE+ILS. When linked, effects will sync with the most similar effect on the selected side of the GigBAR MOVE+ILS:

Kinta effects will sync with one of the kintas, moving heads will sync with one of the moving heads, and wash effects will

sync with one of the pars. Laser effects will sync with the laser, and strobe effects will sync with the strobe effects

regardless of ILS mode.

This product will synchronize with the par effect on the selected side of the GigBAR MOVE+ILS.

To set the COLORband PiX ILS to respond to an ILS signal:

1. Press <MENU> repeatedly until iLS_ shows on the display.

2. Use <UP> or <DOWN> to select from iLS1 (side 1), iLS2 (side 2), iLS3 (side 1), or iLS4 (side 2).

3. Press <ENTER>

WARNING! DO NOT plug anything other than a D-Fi USB into the USB port. Doing so may cause

damage to the product.

Once plugged in, the D-Fi USB will take over the product. Wired DMX and manual display control/menu

buttons will be unavailable until you unplug the D-Fi USB. The priority levels are:

1. D-Fi USB

2. Wired DMX

3. IRC-6 Remote Control

4. Manual Digital Display/Menu Buttons

• All products must be set to the same DMX personality, DMX address, and D-Fi channel.

• Configure all the slave products before configuring the master to transmit.

• Never connect a DMX controller to a D-Fi channel configured for Master/Slave operation

because the controller may interfere with the signals from the master.

Corriente alterna

Este producto tiene una fuente de alimentación con detección automática que puede funcionar con un rango de tensión

Alimentación en cadena

Es posible enlazar hasta 19 productos COLORband PiX ILS a 120 V o hasta 35 productos COLORband PiX ILS a 230 V.

Sustitución del fusible

1. Desconecte el producto de la alimentación.

2. Con ayuda de un destornillador Phillips, desatornille el portafusibles y extráigalo directamente.

3. Quite el fusible fundido del portafusibles y sustituya el fusible con otro del mismo tipo y categoría.

4. Vuelva a insertar el portafusibles y conecte de nuevo la alimentación.

Enlace DMX

Conectividad D-Fi USB

El COLORband PiX ILS tiene la capacidad de convertirse en un receptor/transmisor D-Fi inalámbrico utilizando el D-Fi

USB de CHAUVET DJ. Simplemente configure el conmutador DIP para el canal de recepción/transmisión del D-Fi,

enchúfelo en el puerto USB y luego configure la personalidad DMX del producto y la dirección DMX.

Modo maestro/esclavo (D-Fi USB)

El D-Fi USB permite que un solo producto COLORband PiX ILS (el «maestro»), controle las acciones de uno o más

productos COLORband PiX ILS (los «esclavos») sin necesidad de un controlador DMX ni de cables DMX. El maestro

(transmisor) se configurará para funcionar en modo independiente, mientras que los productos esclavo (receptor) se

configurarán para funcionar en modo esclavo. Una vez configurados y conectados, los productos esclavo funcionarán al

unísono con el producto maestro.

Configure los productos como se indica a continuación.

Productos esclavo:

1. Pulse <MENU> repetidamente hasta que aparezca 9-Ch en la pantalla.

2. Pulse <ENTER>.

3. Utilice <UP> o <DOWN> para configurar la dirección de inicio a d 1.

4. Pulse <ENTER>.

5. Configure el D-Fi USB para recibir en un canal específico, 1–16.

6. Conecte el D-Fi USB.

7. Termine de configurar y conectar todos los productos esclavo.

Producto maestro:

1. Configure el producto maestro para que funcione en modo Independiente.

2. Configure el D-Fi USB para transmitir en el canal D-Fi en el que estén recibiendo los esclavos.

3. Conecte el D-Fi USB.

Modo ILS

El ILS (Integrated Lighting System) dispone de 4 modos que se sincronizan con el GigBAR MOVE+ILS: los

modos 1 y 3 se

sincronizan con el lado 1 del GigBAR MOVE+ILS, mientras que los modos 2 y 4 se sincronizan

con el lado 2 del GigBAR

MOVE+ILS. Cuando estén vinculados, los efectos se sincronizarán con el efecto

más parecido del lado seleccionado del

GigBAR MOVE+ILS: los efectos de Kinta se sincronizarán con uno de los Kintas, las cabezas móviles se sincronizarán con

una de las cabezas móviles y los efectos de baño de luz

se sincronizarán con uno de los reflectores. Los efectos láser se

sincronizarán con el láser y los efectos de

estroboscopio se sincronizarán con los efectos de estroboscopio,

independientemente del modo del ILS.

Este producto se sincronizará con el par en el lado seleccionado del GigBAR MOVE+ILS.

Para configurar el COLORband PiX ILS para responder a una señal ILS:

1. Pulse <MENU> repetidamente hasta que aparezca iLS_ en la pantalla.

2. Utilice

<UP>

<DOWN>

para seleccionar entre

iLS1

(lado 1),

iLS2

(lado 2),

iLS3

(lado 1), o

iLS4

(lado 2).

3. Pulse

<ENTER>.

¡ADVERTENCIA! NO enchufe nada que no sea un D-Fi USB en el puerto USB. Si lo hace, podría

producir daños al producto.

Una vez conectado, el D-Fi USB tomará el control del producto. El DMX por cable, el control de

pantalla manual/botones de menú y el IRC-6 no estarán disponibles hasta que desconecte el D-Fi USB.

Los niveles de prioridad son:

1. D-Fi USB

2. DMX por cable

3. Mando a distancia IRC-6

4. Control de pantalla manual/botones de menú

• Todos los productos deben configurarse con la misma personalidad DMX, dirección DMX y canal D-

Fi.

• Configure todos los productos esclavo antes de configurar al maestro para transmitir.

• Nunca conecte un controlador DMX a un canal D-Fi configurado para funcionamiento maestro/

esclavo, porque el controlador puede interferir con las señales del maestro.

Contenu

Préalable

Déballez votre COLORband PiX ILS et assurez-vous que vous avez reçu toutes les pièces en bon état. Si la boîte et/ou

son contenu semble endommagés, contactez immédiatement le transporteur, et non pas Chauvet.

• Cet appareil DOIT être relié à un circuit mis à la terre et protégé.

• Toujours débrancher l'appareil de la source d'alimentation avant de le nettoyer ou de remplacer son fusible.

• NE PAS exposer directement les yeux à la source de lumière lorsque le produit est allumé.

• Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit jamais pincé ou endommagé.

• Ne débranchez jamais cet appareil en tirant sur le cordon d'alimentation.

• En cas de montage de l'appareil en hauteur, veillez à toujours utiliser un câble de sécurité.

• NE PAS laisser de produit inflammable à proximité de l'appareil lorsque celui-ci fonctionne.

Alimentation CA

Cet appareil est doté d'une alimentation universelle qui peut prendre en charge toute tension d'entrée comprise entre 100

et 240 VCA, 50/60 Hz.

Chaînage électrique

Il est possible connecter jusqu’à 19 COLORband PiX ILS à 120 V ou 35 COLORband PiX ILS a 230 V.

Remplacement des fusibles

1. Débranchez l'appareil.

2. Avec un tournevis cruciforme, desserrez le porte-fusible et retirez-le directement.

3. Enlevez le fusible grillé du porte fusible et remplacez-le par un fusible de même type et de même ampérage.

4. Remettez le porte-fusible en place puis rebranchez.

Le COLORband PiX ILS peut fonctionner avec un contrôleur DMX. Si vous n'êtes pas familier avec le protocole DMX,
