2 General safety instructions
2.1 General safety
!
WARNING!
This device is not connected to the equipment for the removal of
combustion gases. It must be installed in accordance with the
applicable installation instructions and be connected to a flue. In this
regard, particular attention must be paid to the instructions that apply
in respect of ventilation.
The device may only be connected to the gas supply by a qualified
specialist in accordance with the applicable guidelines and standards
(in particular EN 1949).
Never change the nozzle, injector or burner.
Do not operate the device if it shows signs of damage.
This device may only be repaired by qualified specialists. Serious
hazards can be caused by improper repairs.
The device must not be used when refuelling and not in garages or on
ferries.
Do not store any potentially explosive materials, such as spray cans
with flammable propellants, in the device.
Keep a suitable fire extinguisher in the immediate vicinity. Ensure that
the fire extinguisher is regularly checked by a specialist.
2.2 Safety precautions when handling liquefied
petroleum gas
!
WARNING!
Never store liquefied petroleum gas cylinders in unventilated areas or
below ground level (cellars, funnel shaped recesses in the ground).
Keep liquefied petroleum gas cylinders away from direct sunlight. The
temperature may not exceed 50 °C.

If you smell gas:
Open all windows and leave the room.
Do not operate any electrical devices or switches, and avoid using
open flames that can ignite the gas.
Close the valve on the gas cylinder and keep it closed until the fault
has been rectified.
Never attempt to find a gas leak with an open flame.
Have any porous, leaking or damaged gas lines immediately
replaced by a specialist.
Compare the pressure information on the type plate with the pressure
information on the pressure regulator.
If you are not planning to use the device for a long time, close the valve
on the gas cylinder.
2.3 Safety when operating the device
!
WARNING!
Do not use the device to heat the room.
Risk of asphyxiation!
Ensure that the area is sufficiently ventilated before switching on the
device. The installation area must have air vents with an open cross-
section of at least 150 cm
2
when the device is in operation. These
vents must be kept open when the device is in use, even if they can be
closed.
When the device is in use, never leave it unattended for a prolonged
period.
During and immediately after use, some accessible elements can be
very hot. Do not touch these and keep children away from the device.
Ensure that all the control knobs are set to zero (0) after cooking. Close
the main shut-off valve of the gas line after use.
This device can be used by children aged 8 years or over, as well as by
persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities or a
lack of experience and knowledge, providing they are supervised, or
have been taught how to use the device safely and are aware of the
resulting risks.
Use long matches or a suitable lighter when you ignite the burners
manually. Check the gas outlets when you ignite the burners. Do not
ignite the burner if you cannot see it directly.

Wear proper clothing when operating the device.
Do not wear loose hanging clothing which might catch fire.
Use only dry pot holders to prevent the formation of steam. Do not use
towels or similar materials instead of pot holders, as these can catch
fire.
Let the device cool down to ambient temperature before you touch it
with bare hands.
Keep the area around the device free of fat, alcoholic substances, plas-
tic or inflammable materials (such as curtains, towels, kitchen utensils).

This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or
operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or mainte-
nance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product

Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts
provided by the manufacturer
Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer

5 Technical description
5.1 Function description
The device is a gas-operated oven with grill function made of stainless steel.
Food can be cooked or baked in the oven at 130 – 230 °C. The grill function can be
switched on to warm up food evenly. The grill and the oven cannot be used at the
same time.
The gas can be ignited electronically.

6 Installing the device

6.1 Selecting the installation location
When selecting the installation location, observe the following instructions:
The device must not be installed in potentially explosive environments.
Select a well-ventilated location for the device.
Observe the minimum clearance to the top of the horizontal wall and to the
vertical adjacent wall (fig. 3, page 4).
Observe the installation dimensions for the device (fig. 3, page 4) and for the
flue with the outlet pipe (fig. 4, page 5).
WARNING! Risk of serious injury
This device may only be connected to the gas supply by a qualified
specialist in accordance with the applicable guidelines and stand-
ards (in particular EN 1949).
This device must be connected to a flue with an outlet pipe to
discharge the combustion gases (see chapter “Oven ventilation
using a roof flue” on page 14).
The installation area must have air vents with an open cross-section of
at least 150 cm
2
. The air vents must be kept open when the device is
in use, even if they can be closed.
Before installation check whether the local gas supply (type of gas
and pressure) is compatible with the specifications of the device. The
regulatory requirements of this device are specified on the label (or
type plate).

6.2 Preparing the installation
A
Observe the following before you make the cut-out in the furniture:
The horizontal installation surface must be level and at right angles to the front of
furniture.
The installation cut-out in the furniture must be rectangular.
Combustible materials must be prevented from entering through the existing
ventilation openings in the furniture.
Make a cut-out in the furniture as shown (fig. 3, page 4).
6.3 Oven ventilation using a roof flue
A
Proceed as follows (fig. 5, page 5 – fig. 8, page 6)
6.4 Fastening the device to the furniture
Fasten the device to the furniture as shown (fig. 9, page 6 – fig. b, page 6).
NOTICE! Risk of damage
Before drilling any holes, make sure that no electrical cables or other
parts of the vehicle can be damaged by drilling, sawing and filing.
NOTICE!
Use a Truma AK 3 roof flue and Truma flue pipes. These have been
tested and approved for use.
Do not locate any materials unsuitable for temperatures of above
120 °C near the roof flue or the flue pipe
Lay the flue duct so that it rises gradually. The installation height of the
flue pipe has to be between 200 mm and 1500 mm
Keep the surrounding walls and components at a distance of at least
50 mm.

6.5 Connecting the device to the gas supply

Observe the following instructions for the connection:
Observe the national requirements.
Use gas pipes made of steel Ø 8x1 mm (welded, seamless or stainless steel),
which are flush-mounted with a cutting ring screw assembly.
Fasten the pipes on the side or rear wall of the surrounding furniture parts so that
no loads are exerted on the actuators.
The connection must be executed in a way that it can only be released with tools.
Observe the technical regulations contained in the DVGW worksheets G607
and G608.
The entire pipe system must be free from stress.
Connect the pipes as shown (fig. c, page 7).
WARNING! Risk of serious injury
This device may only be connected to the gas supply by a specialist
in accordance with the applicable guidelines and standards.
A hose connection is not permitted.
Use a metal-sealed screw connection.
The gas line must not be twisted, pulled or subjected to any other
stress during the installation and connection work.
The gas filter (white) in the oven gas connection must not be
removed.
Only use cylinders of propane or butane gas (not natural gas or city
gas) with an approved pressure reduction valve and suitable head.
Compare the pressure information on the type plate with the pres-
sure information on the pressure regulator on the propane or butane
gas cylinder.
Only operate the oven at the pressure shown on the type plate.
Only operate the oven with the type of gas shown on the type plate.
Note the pressures which are permitted in your country. Only use
pressure controllers with a fixed setting which comply with the
national regulations.
It must be possible to disconnect the oven from the gas supply by
means of a main shut-off valve. The shut-off valve must be easily
accessible.
NOTE
Optionally, you can use the Dometic flexible gas connection pipe to
keep the installation tensionless.

Attach a sign above the device with the following text:
“WARNING!
When cooking, additional ventilation must be provided, e.g. by opening
windows near the grill, hob or oven.
This device must not be used for heating the room.”
Open the main shut-off valve.
Check all the connections for leaks with a leak detection spray or a non-corrosive
liquid. Do not use soapy water.
!
There are no leaks if no bubbles form.
Have a leak test and a flame test performed by an authorized specialist after
professional installation.
Ensure you are issued with a certificate of inspection.
6.6 Connecting the device to the power supply

Use a double cable (Ø 2 x 0.5 mm
2
) to connect the device.
Connect the cables to the connector of the refrigerator (fig. d, page 7).
Connect the other ends of the cables to the
12 Vg power supply:

as directly as possible
rd (red): with a fuse protection (3 A) fitted to the positive (+) pole
bk (black): to the negative (–) pole
WARNING!
Never check for leaks with an open flame or near sources of ignition.
WARNING!
This device may only be connected to the power supply by a
specialist in accordance with the applicable guidelines and
standards.
The device must not be connected to the mains voltage (230 Vw),
this would destroy the components and endanger the user.
NOTICE!
Make sure the polarity is correct.
Fit the positive (+) cable with a 3 fuse.

7 Using the oven

7.1 Before initial use
Clean the rack and the baking tray with a standard cleaning agent.
Turn on the oven for 30 minutes while empty at the highest temperature.
Turn on the grill (optional) for 15 – 20 minutes while empty at the highest
temperature.
WARNING! Risk of suffocation!
The oven must not be used for heating.
WARNING! Risk of injury
Using the gas oven results in heat and moisture building up in the
area in which it is used.
Ensure that the area is well-ventilated:
Keep the air vents open or provide a mechanical ventilation
device (such as an extractor hood).
Using the device intensively and for prolonged periods can make
additional ventilation necessary, for example by opening a
window or using a more efficient ventilation system, such as
operating the mechanical ventilation device at a higher power
level.
Insufficient ventilation can constitute a hazard for the user with a
risk of injury.
Do not use the oven for more than 2 hours at the highest power level.
Do not leave the device unattended when it is in operation.
During and immediately after use, some accessible elements can be
very hot. Do not touch these and keep children away from the
device.
Ensure that all the control knobs are set to the zero position after
cooking. Close the main shut-off valve of the gas supply after use.
CAUTION!
Only light the oven when the oven door is completely open.
Position food, the oven shelf and the drip pan so that they are not in
contact with the flame.
Use protective gloves when handling the hot parts.
Ensure additional ventilation when baking.

Afterwards switch the oven off and leave it switched off for at least 1 minute
before lighting it again.
7.2 Inserting the oven rack
Insert the oven shelf as shown (fig. e, page 7).
7.3 Switching on the oven

Open the oven door completely.
Make sure that the gas supply is turned on.
Press the temperature regulator (fig. 2 1, page 3) and hold it down.
While pressed turn the temperature regulator to a position on the temperature
scale.
Hold down the temperature regulator for another 5 10 seconds.
The burner is ignited electronically.
Turn the temperature regulator to the required position (see chapter “Setting the
oven temperature” on page 19).
Close the oven door.
WARNING! Risk of injury
The burner may only be ignited when the oven door is fully open.
Ignite the burner as soon as you have turned on the gas supply.
Otherwise gas can accumulate in the area of the burner and could
cause an explosion.
NOTE
Keep an eye on the gas outlets while you are igniting the burner.
If the flame is extinguished or the burner does not ignite, wait at least
one minute before re-igniting it. If the burner does not start, check
whether the gas cylinder is filled.
If the device does not function at all, turn off the gas valve and contact
an authorized customer service.

7.4 Setting the oven temperature
I
Set the required temperature using the temperature regulator
(fig. 2 1, page 3):
NOTE
The actual temperature may deviate from the values stated below by
up to ±20 °C.
Immediately after the ignition in any position of the control knob, the
flame of the oven burner is switched on at the maximum output and
then automatically reverts to the minimum output as soon as the set
oven temperature is reached.
If the oven has not cooled down from previous use, the burner may
go out straight after lighting it. In this case, blow into the burner
opening to get rid of the steam.

7.5 Switching on the grill

Open the oven door completely.
Make sure that the gas supply is turned on.
Press the temperature regulator (fig. 2 1, page 3) and hold it down.
While pressed turn the temperature regulator to the right to the position .
Hold down the temperature regulator for another 5 10 seconds.
The burner is ignited electronically.
Close the oven door.
7.6 Visual inspection of the flame
Depending on the type of gas used, the flame should look as follows:
Propane (G31): flame with a blue inner flame and a clear contour.
Butane (G30): flame with slightly yellow tips when the burner is switched on,
which becomes more intensive as the burner heats up.
WARNING!
Never use the grill without any food under the grill.
Do not use the grill for longer than 15 minutes. The grill may not be
used as an oven.
The burner may only be ignited when the oven door is fully open.
Ignite the burner as soon as you have turned on the gas supply.
Otherwise gas can accumulate in the area of the burner and could
cause an explosion.
NOTE
Keep an eye on the gas outlets while you are igniting the burner.
If the flame is extinguished or the burner does not ignite, wait at least
one minute before re-igniting it. If the burner does not start, check
whether the gas cylinder is filled.
If the device does not function at all, turn off the gas valve and contact
an authorized customer service.
