You may be killed or seriously injured

if you do not follow this instruction.

Warning: Please read and follow the instructions in the manual to ensure your safety and the safe use of your

robot cleaner. In case of disregard, there is no liability for personal injury and property damage. Warranty is valid

only if you follow the instructions.

Keep away from abysses and do not use on elevated objects such as tables, etc.. To prevent your device from falling,

place an obstacle in front of the abyss.

When using the device, ensure that you are within reach of the device, so that you can intervene and relocate

the device.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, same as persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of

this appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided with this appliance. The battery

must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped. The appliance must be disconnected from the supplymains when

removing the battery. The battery must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

If the dust bin is full, the cleaning performance will be reduced.

Empty the dust bin after each use (see page 25).

Please clean the cli sensors and wheels regulary (see page 27).

Be careful not to break the robot cleaner when you pull it out of the box.

Install the side brushes.

The device must be fully charged before rst use.

Remove any obstacles on the oor before you start cleaning mode.

The robot cleaner can not climb thresholds higher than 15mm.

After charging is complete, keep the robot cleaner docked to the charging station.

The robot will turn o automatically.

Install the charging station in a location that can be easily accessed by the robot cleaner (1m distance to each side).

You may be injured or your appliance

may be damaged if you do not follow

this instruction.

Important notes

Only use the original adapter, battery and the original charging station to prevent damage to the

device as well as electric shocks, surges and/or re.

If damage occurs to the device or accessories, discontinue use of the robot and contact customer

service. Never perform any repairs yourself.

Never operate the device and any accessories with wet hands.

Before cleaning, remove

any cables and loose

objects to avoid the

device malfunctioning.

If the device is not used

for several weeks, unplug

the power cable to protect

the battery.

Do not use the device in

damp, ammable,

explosive or corrosive

environments.

Preparation

Charging the device

Remove the protective strip,

so that the impact strip can

move and can recognise obstacles.

Attach the protective strip

supplied to the impact strip

of the laser sensor.

Hold the device with both hands and place it

on the charging station. Make sure that the

robot's contact is on the charging station.

The device beeps after a second and the LED

ring lights up as soon as contact is made.

When the battery level of the robot is sucient,

you can position the device approx. 2 m in front

of the charging station and press the HOME

button on the device. The robot will then dock

automatically to the charging station.

Make sure that there

are no loose objects

around the charging station.

When using the charging station, remember that

there should be a min. clearance of 3m at the front

and 1m at the sides.

Plug in the mains adaptor. If there is a power

connection, the green LED on the top of the

charging station is lit.

Setting up the app

Download:

Home screenOpen the MBOT

app on your

smartphone.

Please read the terms of

use and accept them,

if this applies

(required for use of the app).

Select your preferred

language in the

left bottom of the screen.

Setting up the appt

Click “Register” to register

to use the app.

Enter your data. The

verication code is sent to

the email address entered.

Click “Add device” in the

main menu and follow the

instructions.

Enter the details of your

wireless home network.

Go to your smartphone

settings and connect your

smartphone to the robot

network (the name always

begins with "Robot-")

It may take a few seconds

until the robot has set up the

network and becomes visible

on the smartphone.

Return to the MBOT app. The

robot will be connected.

Setting up the app

Now you are in the robot's

main menu.

Click “More” if you want to

rename the robot.

Click “My robots”. Now you can see an

overview of all your devices.

Click on the edit symbol to

the right of the robot name

to rename it, share it with

another user, access the

appliance or to remove it.

Enter any name and conrm.

Instructions before operation

Make sure that the robot vacuum cleaner is not damaged when it is removed from its packaging.

Please consider the following points before using the robot vacuum cleaner.

The device must be fully charged before being used for the rst time.

See page 8 for further details about charging.

Keep the oor free from loose objects.

Before cleaning, please remove any fragile objects or very light or fringed fabrics from the oor,

which could aect the movement of the device. Place long rug fringes under the rug.

Emptying the dust bin.

The suction capacity is limited when the dust bin is full. See page 25 for further details about emptying.

Cleaning the sensors.

If the sensors (crash sensors, signal window) or wheel are very dirty, this may cause an error or crash.

See page 27 for further details about cleaning.

Help children and the elderly.

Inform children and the elderly about using the robot so that they are not frightened.

The device cannot pass over sections over 15mm high.

Keep the device away from precipices or falling edges.

When objects are present (e.g. shoes on the stairs), an error may be detected and the device may fail.

The charging station must be at least 5 metres from falling edges. Never use the device on tables, stools

or stairs. The crash sensors must be cleaned regularly.

Unplug the charging station when it is not in use.

If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, please unplug the charging station.

This protects the battery.

Cleaning principle

When you start cleaning, the device

initially moves to the right along

the edge and at the same time

measures the size of the room.

With this, it is normal for the robot

to lightly bump against objects and

furniture.

Further details are shown in the live

map of the app.

After completion of cleaning, the

robot returns directly to the

charging station.

If there are unexpected obstacles

between the appliance and the

charging station

(for example closed doors), the

appliance stops and reports that

the charging station cannot be

reached.

The device autonomously demar-

cates the room into areas which it

then covers track by track. With

this, it demarcates the areas not by

rooms, but by area size.

During cleaning, obstacles are

bypassed or touched lightly.

Narrow objects (for example

chair/table legs) are avoided

completely.

Operation without the app

ON / OFF button

Start the robot with the ON / OFF button,

this always starts total cleaning.

This means that the robot covers all areas that can be reached.

If the battery charge is not sucient, the device makes an intermediate stop

at its charging station and then continues cleaning.

Use of the full functions of the device requires a connection to a smartphone.

Zone cleaning

Zone cleaning makes it possible to divide your home into dierent zones and to let the robot target them for cleaning.

Accordingly, you can decide which zones are to be cleaned when, how thoroughly, and how often.

You need an existing map

to be able to specify

zones.

For this, the robot rst

must perform a total

cleaning cycle.

Click “More” -> “Map” to

assign zones to the map.

Select “Specify new zone”

and enter a desired name.

The zone is now shown on

the map. You can select

the type of zone at the

lower edge of the screen.

In this example, we create

a “Prohibited zone”.

The robot may not

The robot shall clean this

area twice.

Modify and move the

zones as desired and click

“Save” to save the map.

To start zone cleaning,

click “Zone cleaning” on

the main screen, select the

zone to be cleaned, and

start the cleaning by

clicking “Zone cleaning:

Start” at the lower edge of

the screen.

During cleaning, the exact

cleaning path and the

current position of the

robot are displayed.

In this example, the blue

zone is cleaned twice and

the green zone only once.

When you specify a “Prohibited zone” (red), it

remains xed on the map until you change the

colour or delete it.

When you have specied zones on the map, at

the start of cleaning the robot always tries to

locate itself on the map (even if you have

changed the position of the charging station).

With this, it rotates several times to check its

surroundings. If it does not recognise the

existing map, it automatically starts scanning a

new map. In this case, all zones are deleted.

If you have not specied any zones, the robot

starts each cleaning with the scan of a new map.

Make sure that the zones can be reached easily.

When the path to a zone was blocked during the

preceding cleaning cycle, the robot knows that

it will not reach this zone and remains at the

station at the start.

You can move, rename, change, and delete the

specied zones at any time under “More” ->

“Map”.

After complete cleaning of the zones, the robot

returns to the charging station.

To start spot cleaning,

click “Spot cleaning” on

the main screen, select the

area to be cleaned and

start spot cleaning by

clicking “Spot cleaning:

Start” at the lower edge of

the screen.

During cleaning, the exact

cleaning path and the

current position of the

robot are displayed.

After the robot has

cleaned the selected area

(green area), it automati-

cally returns to the

charging station.

Using spot cleaning, you can let the robot perform targeted cleaning of a square area (1.5 x 1.5 m),

independent of the specied zones.
