Very Important SAFETY RULES
8. RACK FIXING
The rack mod. 8602 is supplied in lengths of 50cm with an interlocking system dovetail. FIG. 7/B.
Each piece must be individually fixed to the gate by sliding the leaf and verifying that the height of the rack with
be in right distance from the motor gear. See fig. 7/A - 7/C-11
Attention: Observe the tolerance of the measures FIG. 7/A - 7/B and 11. If the rack is mounted crooked, this will
create a point of friction that could be recognized as an obstacle and stop the motor.
Proceed as follows:
1) Unlock the engine and open the gate manually until the mechanical limit stop.
2 ) Place the first piece of rack (0.5 m ) on motor gear, at a correct distance and height. Fig 7/A and 11.
3 ) Mark the position of the holes and the top line of the rack, making sure to place each piece at the same height
so that the distance from the gear is identical for the entire length of the rack itself.
4) Attach the first piece of rack with self-drilling screws.
5) Proceed similarly for the other rack pieces until it is fixed for the entire length of the gate. Connenct each
pieces with the help of a rubber hammer.
WARNING: The operation finished fixing the rack, make sure that the gate runs perfectly and easily over its
entire length handling it manually. If not, check and correct fixing the rack.
6) Re- Lock the engine
9. INSERT THE MAGNETIC LIMITS ALONG THE RACK
Proceed as in fig. 9 inserting the two media magnet along the rack through the interlocking system. Slide the two
supports up to min. 10 cm from the ends of the gate. See fig.12 for the moment they are not fixed permanently.
For the adjustment of the provisional limit and the final fixing, refer to Sections 11-13.
10. POWER SUPPLY
A) 230V50Hz power connection (or 110V 60HZ FOR 110V versions)
WARNING - DANGER!
The high tension 230V-110V power supply connection must be made in a workmanlike manner by skilled and
certified electrician only.
The the high voltage cable must be connected to the terminal positioned upstream of the transformer (where
the safety fuse is placed).
Once connected to power check if the network: the green LED on the board should be on=power supply ins on.
In the case in which the green LED is not switched on, check the protection fuse and replace if necessary. FUSE
T0, 8A 250V 5 x 20.
See FIG 13-14 (for electronic board model CTH43) and FIG 15 (for electronic board CTH46 model).
B) Solar Panel power supply (only for versions with card CTH46).
You do not need the intervention of a certified electrician as there is no risk of electrocution.
The board CTH46 has been specifically designed on the basis of a of low consumption consumption and energy
saving, in order to ensure a high level of autonomy and reliability with solar panel power supply. In this case is
excluded the connection to the 230-110 Power supply.
The solar panel converts sunlight into energy and the battery stores the energy.
A charge control integrated system regulates the accumulation of energy and prevents the release during the
night hours.
The solar panel must be connected directly to the appropriate terminals on the electronic board. FIG.17/A
The connecting cables are provided with solar panel. It is possible, if necessary, to extend the cables to the
panel, but it is recommended not to exceed 10m in order to avoid energy losses.
The battery must be directly connected to the electronic board CTH48 and can be housed inside the engine
compartment.
14
The connecting cables to the battery are already provided with the card.
Caution! Respect the polarity of the connection cables to the battery ( + and -).
Caution: The battery must be connected to the board at full charge level. Before connection and use, the battery
should be put under charge for a minimum of 16 hours.
To charge the battery:
a) you can connect the battery to the circuit board (CTH46) and use a socket, connecting it to the terminals of
the high voltage connection which are located upstream of the transformer.
b) we recommend the use of the optional accessory MP037: witch is a independant battery charger with charging
control system. You can use other 12V battery chargers, but make sure they are provided with a charging
control system to avoid irreparable damage to the battery.
The solar panel is fastened to the wall with the appropriate arc provided with it. FIG.18 . T
The tilt angle of the arc is already calculated based on the parallel Earth’s center of Europe. The panel should
be facing South and should be avoided at any shadow that may limit the radiation on the same. Clean the panel
from any dirt, leaves or snow witch could obscure it.
The greater the exposure of the panel to sunlight, the greater will be the level of daily stored energy.
The greater the light, the higher the level of stored energy. It is possible to add extra solar panels by parallel
connection.
In order to charge the battery, the solar panel must deliver a voltage greater than 13V.
11. PROVISIONAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE MAGNETIC LIMITS
The position of the magnetic limits determines the stroke of the gate opening and closing.
WARNING: It is important that the magnets are positioned so that they are detected before the gate touches the
mechanical stops of the gate.
For a perfect adjustment of the final position of the end stops proceed in two stages.
Before final fixing, place the magnets momentarily to 10 cm before the desired final stop position of the gate in
order to make sure that the magnet is detected before the gate touches the mechanical stop. FIG.10 -12
Pre- position of magnetic limit for closed position:
1) Unlock the motor
2) Place the leaf to 10 cm before the desired closed position.
3) Manually move the magnetic limit (M) up to align it with the magnet reeder “ Reed “ (R ). FIG. 8-10
4) Verify that the yellow LED turns on the electronic board to confirm that the magnet is detected by the electronic
board.

The gate will open by and will stop as the magnetical limit (M) is detected by the reeder (R).
15
Attention: Electronic boards have a limited memory capacity up to 10 channels. (Each button of the remote
corresponds to 1 channel).
If you need more storage capacity available is an optional external receiver 4-channel model Rixy 6040 (6040Rol)
witch has a capacity of 40 codes storage or more upon request).
B) How to cancel the codes storage on the electronic board.
In the event that the memory card is full or in case there is a need to delete some codes you will need to perform
this procedure:
1 - Press and hold P1 for about 30 seconds until the red LED will emit a series of flashes and then
2 - release P1,
at this point all the codes have been eliminated, in order to re store a remote control code, repeat the
procedure as per point A).
QUICK SOLUTION OF PROBLEMS RELATING TO RADIO CONTROL
First verify that the card is properly powered (check the fuse/s).
If only 1 radio control does not work:
1) make sure that the remote control is compatible with automation.
2) replace the battery of the remote control (although LED lights up). A low battery may affect the flow rate and
/ or the transmission itself.
3) it is possible that the memory of electronic board is full. Delete all code and re- enter the codes in use (up to
card capacity). If all remote controls do not work there may be a problem with the radio receiver.
Test if a wired control (key switch) works properly and contact the after sales service of manufacturer.
WARNING: Before proceeding, verify that:
1) The trimmer “Time” must be fully rotated Anti-clockwise = “0” position which corresponds to the operation of
the system in semi-automatic mode ( step by step )
2) The trimmer “Power” must be fully rotated CLOCKWISE = setting power to the maximum FIG.16 - 17/A
ATTENTION: ALL ADJUSTMENTS SHOULD BE MADE TO THE GATE CLOSED.
The regulations will be effective only in the next cycle.
13. MAGNETIC LIMITS FINAL FIXING
To find the final position of the magnet:
perform opening and closing cycles taking care to move each time the limits a few centimeters bringing them
closer to the their final position.
This will make it possible to perfectly adjust the magnets, preventing the gate stops on the mechanical stop
before detecting the magnet.
14. WIRING
For versions with electronic board CTH43 see FIG.16
For versions with electronic board CTH46 see fig.17A -17B
POWER ADJUSTMENT: potentiometer “POWER”
Turn the trimmer clockwise to increase engine power. This will decreases the reaction time in case of obstacle
detection.
The level of power / sensitivity should be adjusted according to weight of the gate gate. Use the minimum power
necessary for the proper handling of your gate.
The seasonal changes may result in a change in the friction and you may need to periodically adjust the power .
ADJUSTING METHOD OF CLOSING: Step by Step or Automatic
potentiometer “TIME” allows you to set two modes of operation:
A) Semi-automatic or step-by-step use
For this mode, rotate the trimmer completely anti-clockwise. By pushing your remote control the the gate will
open and will stay open until it receives a new command.
B) Automatic closing
to set this mode, turn the trimmer TIME CLOCKWISE until you reach the desired pause time before the gate
closes automatically (max. 100 sec when turned fully clockwise).
WARNING: in this mode the opener do not accept any signal from the remote control while in pause time.

EN 12453 : 2000 EN 12445 : 2000, safety should be secured by the same automation, regardless of optional
accessories such as photocells.
The legislation provides that automation can not exert a pressure higher than the limits defined by the law and
and in case of impact must detect the presence of the obstacle and must remove the pressure exerted on the
obstacle within a precise time curve. (see Norm text for more specifications).
The photocells are not therefore more mandatory since their effectiveness is limited.
The photocells are useful in order to control the reopening of the gate while the same is closing.
This prevents, for example, that the paint of vehicles may be ruined if the gate closes while a vehicle crosses
17
the passage.
Voluntarily interrupting their range you can keep the gate open.
The photocells must be installed to a maximum distance of 10 m between them, perfectly aligned. It is advisable
to position the photocell receiver so that it can not be disturbed by sunlight.
The photocells have a minimum lateral dimensions (only 2cm) and do not need to be recessed into the wall.
Must be fixed to the wall or on special columns and are suitable for outdoor use.
It is advisable to seal the outlet passage of the cables with silicone. see FIG.19 -22
Power supply: 12-24 V - d.c / a.c.
