Carefully unpack the Auxiliary Display kit. The package should contain:
Auxiliary Display with attached cable
Mounting brackets (2)
This instruction sheet
AC adapter
Power plug
Installation
1. For AD7-MD Model
a. Unplug the Balance from AC adapter.
b. Connect the cable from the Auxiliary Display to the option
port on the Balance (Figure 1).
c. Connect the AC adapter to the Balance and turn on. Then
the Auxiliary Display will operate automatically.
2. For AD7-RS Model
a. Unplug the Balance or Scale.
b. Connect the RS232 from the Auxiliary Display to the
RS232 port of the Balance or Scale (Figure 2).
c. Connect AC adapter to the cable of the Auxiliary display.
d. Connect the power to the Balance or Scale and turn on.
Then the Auxiliary Display will operate automatically.
Note:
1. Please make sure your Balance or Scale's RS232 configuration is
either one of below:
9600-8-N-1, Handshake: None
2400-7-N-2, Handshake: None
2. If communication is lost (Auxiliary Display will show "------"),
turn the balance off and on to restore the connection with the
Auxiliary Display.
3. You can find the supported OHAUS Balances and Scales in the
Specifications Table on the back page.
Display Mounting and Placement Options
Table top placement:
The Display may be placed on a flat surface without additional hardware.
Direct wall mounting:
The Display may be mounted to a wall using two screws (not included).
Select appropriate sized screws that fit into the holes in the back of the
Display.
Bracket wall mounting/table mounting:
Attach the two mounting brackets. Position the Display where desired on the
wall or table.
Note: When installing the mounting brackets, insert round pins into holes in
the back of the display and then slide each bracket to lock into place.
Mounting brackets may be attached in two different orientations to provide
optimum viewing angle.

1. Para los modelos AD7-MD

Montaje de la pantalla y opciones de colocación

Nota: Cuando instale los soportes de montaje, inserte pasadores redondos
en los orificios de la parte posterior de la pantalla y luego deslice cada
soporte para trabarlo en su posición final. Los soportes de montaje pueden
fijarse con dos orientaciones diferentes para proporcionar un ángulo de
visión óptimo.

Installation
1. Pour les modèles AD7-MD

c. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur à la balance et allumez-la.

a. Débranchez la balance ou l'échelle.
b. Connectez le RS232 de l'écran auxiliaire au port RS232 de
la Balance ou de l'Echelle (Figure 2).
c. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur au câble de l'écran
auxiliaire.
d. Connectez l'alimentation à la balance ou à l'échelle et
allumez-la. L'affichage auxiliaire fonctionnera alors
automatiquement.
Note:
1. Assurez-vous que la configuration RS232 de votre Balance ou

2. En cas de perte de communication (L'affichage auxiliaire
montrera "------"), désactivez la balance et restaurez la

Options de montage et d’emplacement de l’affichage
Emplacement sur le dessus d’une table:
L’affichage peut être placé sur une surface plane sans aucun autre matériel
supplémentaire.
Montage mural direct:
L’affichage peut être monté sur un mur à l’aide de deux vis (non incluses).
Sélectionnez des vis de taille appropriée qui rentrent dans les trous à l’arrière
de l’affichage.
Montage mural/montage sur table avec support:
Fixez les deux supports de montage. Placez l’affichage à l’endroit souhaité
sur le mur ou la table.
Remarque : Faire glisser les pattes support de l'afficheur dans les glissières
prévues à cet effet jusqu'à leur verrouillage. Les supports de montage
peuvent être fixés dans deux sens afin d’offrir un angle de vue optimal.

Installazione
1. Per i modelli AD7-MD
a. Scollegare la bilancia dall'adattatore CA.
b. Collegare il cavo dal display ausiliario alla porta opzionale
sulla bilancia (Figura 1).
c. Collegare l'adattatore CA alla bilancia e accendere. Quindi
il display ausiliario funzionerà automaticamente.
2. Per i modelli AD7-RS
a. Scollegare la bilancia.
b. Collegare RS232 dal display ausiliario alla porta RS232

sul retro del display e far scorrere le staffe fino a bloccarle in posizione. Per
fornire un angolo di visuale ottimale, è possibile fissare le staffe di
montaggio con due differenti orientamenti.

1. Für AD7-MD-Modell

c. Schließen Sie den Netzadapter an die Waage an und
schalten Sie ihn ein. Die Zusatzanzeige wird automatisch
betrieben.
2. Für AD7-RS-Modell
a. Trennen Sie das Gleichgewicht oder die Waage.
b. Verbinden Sie die RS232-Schnittstelle vom Zusatzdisplay
mit dem RS232-Port der Waage oder Waage (Abb. 2).
c. Schließen Sie den Netzadapter an das Kabel des
Zusatzdisplays an.
d. Verbinden Sie die Stromversorgung mit der Waage oder
Waage und schalten Sie sie ein. Die Zusatzanzeige wird

an die gewünschte Stelle an der Wand oder auf dem Tisch.
Hinweis: Führen Sie bei der Installation der Montagehalterungen runde Stifte
in die Löcher auf der Rückseite der Anzeige ein und schieben Sie dann jede
Halterung so weit, bis sie einrastet. Die Montagehalterungen können in zwei
unterschiedlichen Ausrichtungen montiert werden, um einen optimalen
Betrachtungswinkel zu gewährleisten.

product has been damaged by accident or misuse, exposed to radioactive or corrosive

service or modification by other than Ohaus. In lieu of product registration, the warranty
period shall begin on the date of shipment to the authorized dealer. No other express or
implied warranty is given by Ohaus Corporation. Ohaus Corporation shall not be liable
for any consequential damages. As warranty legislation differs from state to state and
country to country, please contact Ohaus or your local Ohaus dealer for further details.
