• Use the TL2900 Binder only for its
intended purpose of binding paper and
covers according to the indicated
specifications.
• Before operating the machine, make
certain that the
TL2900 is placed on a
secure, stable work area. This will help
prevent the machine from falling and
possibly causing personal injury and
damage.
• Retain this Operating Instructions
manual for later use.
CAUTION: In case of emergency,
use the power cord as a main
disconnect.
• The
TL2900 must be connected to a
supply voltage corresponding to the
electrical rating of the machine operating
instructions (also listed on the serial
number label).
• The socket-outlet shall be located near
the equipment and shall be easily
accessible.
• The grounding plug is a safety feature
and will only fit into the proper grounding
type power outlet. If you are unable to
insert the plug into an outlet, contact a
qualified electrician to have a suitable
outlet installed. Do not alter the plug on
the end of the cordset (if provided) of
the
TL2900. It was provided for your
safety.
• Unplug the
TL2900 before moving the
machine or whenever the machine is not
in use for an extended period of time.
• Do not operate the
TL2900 if the
machine has a damaged power supply
cord or plug. Do not operate the
machine after any malfunction, if liquid
has been spilled into the machine, or
if the machine has been damaged in
any way.
• Do not overload electrical outlets
beyond their capacity. To do so can
result in fire or electrical shock.

nei pressi della macchina e deve essere
facilmente accessibile.
• La spina con presa di terra è un’esigenza
di sicurezza e deve essere collegata ad
una presa di corrente adeguata. Se non
si riesce ad inserire la spina nella presa,
consultare un elettricista qualificato per
l’installazione di una presa di corrente
adatta. Non modificare la spina che si
trova all’estremità del cavo di
alimentazione della
TL2900 (qualora il
cavo sia stato fornito insieme alla
macchina). La spina è stata fornita per

Das
TL2900 ist trotz seiner robusten
Konstruktion kompakt und leicht, so dass

problemlos an jeden Ort transportiert

Remove the TL2900 from the
carton.
Set the
TL2900 on a
convenient work surface, cut
the strap and remove the foam
end caps.
Place on any suitable table,
desk or modular GBC punch
close to a power outlet.
HOOK REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE
TL2900
Step 1
Disconnect the
TL2900 from
the power source. Set the
adjustment knob to the 1"
mark. Observe the current
position of the hooks. From
the rear of the machine,
loosen the 3 Phillips screws
inside the holes.
Step 2
From the front of the
TL2900
gently slide the hook up and
toward you to remove.
Step 3
Each new hook set should
be inserted with the hooks
facing upward. Slide the new
hook set under the 3 screws.
The bottom channel of the
hook set should fit around
the hook slide (see side
view). Gently push back on
the hook set until it stops into
position.
Step 4
Tighten the 3 Phillips screws
by turning them clockwise.
Connect the
TL2900
to the power source. Perform
a test bind. When working
properly, the hooks will hold a
wire element in place for
clamping and not interfere
with the clamp mechanisms.

Togliere TL2900
dall’imballaggio.
Posizionare
TL2900 su una
superficie di lavoro adeguata,

Fase 1
Scollegare
TL2900
dall’alimentazione.
Posizionare la manopola di
regolazione sul contrassegno
1". Prestare attenzione alla
posizione corrente dei ganci.
Dal retro della macchina,
allentare le 3 viti Phillips
all’interno dei fori.
Fase 2
Dalla parte anteriore di
TL2900 far scorrere con
cautela il gancio verso l’alto
e avvicinarlo per toglierlo.
Fase 3
Ciascuna nuova serie di
ganci deve essere introdotta
con i ganci rivolti verso l’alto.
Far scorrere la nuova serie di
ganci sotto le tre viti. Il
canale inferiore della serie di
ganci deve essere adattato
intorno alla slitta gancio
(vedere la vista laterale).
Premere con cautela la serie
di ganci finché non si arresta
in posizione.
Fase 4
Serrare le 3 viti Phillips
ruotando in senso orario.
Collegare
TL2900
all’alimentazione. Effettuare
una legatura di prova. Se il
funzionamento è corretto, i
ganci trattengono un
elemento di filo in posizione
per il bloccaggio senza
interferire con i meccanismi
di bloccaggio.

1. Select the appropriate size
wire for your document. Use
chart (A1) or the Twin Loop
Size Gauge Label on the
TL2900 as a reference.
2. Adjust the knob so that the
desired size shows
approximately in the center
of the window.
TIP: This is a
starting point reference. It is
best to make a test bind
and adjust the knob for your
personal preference. To
make the crimp tighter, turn
the knob so that the number
moves toward you in the
clear window. Slight
adjustments to the knob will
be required to achieve the
perfect crimp.
3. Push the clamp back.
4. Load the wire element onto
the support hooks.
TIP:
Hold the wire loosely across
the tips of your fingers with
the wide hooks facing
downward. Orient with the
left edge just touching the
edge guide. Allow the Twin
Loop Wire to naturally find
itself on the hooks with a
dropping motion as you
guide the wire up and over.
Once you get the feel for
this motion, you will be able
to hang the wire onto the
hooks without looking.
5. Thread the document
contents onto the hooks,
oriented so that the first
page faces up.
6. Thread the front cover face
up onto the wire element.
7. Thread the inside of the
back cover onto the wire
element face down so that
you are looking at the inside
of the back cover.
8. Bring the clamp forward
over the hooks.
9. Press and hold the two
activation buttons until the
LED’s indicate DONE.
10. Push the Clamp back.
BINDING
I
1. Selezionare il filo di
dimensioni adeguate al

3. Premere il bloccaggio.
4. Caricare l’elemento filo sui

SUGGERIMENTO: Tenere
il filo sulla punta delle dita
senza serrare. Posizionare
con il bordo sinistro appena
a contatto con la guida.
Lasciare che il filo a spirale
doppia si posizioni in
caduta sui ganci guidandolo
con un movimento
circolare. Dopo aver
imparato il movimento, sarà
possibile posizionare il filo
sui ganci anche senza
guardare.
5. Infilare il documento sui
ganci in modo che la prima
pagina sia rivolta verso
l’alto.
6. Infilare la copertina rivolta
verso l’alto sull’elemento
di legatura.
7. Infilare la retro copertina
sull’elemento rivolta verso
il basso in modo che sia
visibile la terza pagina
di copertina.

To de-bind a Twin Loop Wire book, flip the
rear cover back around to the front in order
to reveal the spine of the wire crimp. Place
the book on the edge of a table surface
with the large loops facing up. Hold the
book firmly on the table with one hand and
with the other firmly grab one of the large
loops in the middle of the book. Firmly pull
the wire so as to unravel the wire.
• Should your
TL2900 require service
contact your local authorized GBC
service representative.
• There are NO user-serviceable parts
inside the machine. To avoid potential
personal injury and/or property damage,
DO NOT REMOVE THE
MACHINE’S COVER.
Per smontare la legatura a spirale doppia
da un libro, far girare la retro copertina sul
davanti per liberare la linea di giunzione di
compressione filo. Posizionare il libro sul
bordo di un tavolo con gli anelli grandi

libro sul tavolo con una mano e con l’altra
afferrare uno degli anelli grandi al centro
del libro. Tirare energicamente per
rimuovere il filo.
