Chapter 1 - Introduction
CongratulationsonyourpurchaseofAgility‐RISCOGroupʹsFlexibleWirelessSecurity
System.TheAgilityhasbeenspecificallydesignedtomeetawiderangeofsecurity,safety
andhomeautomationneedsformanyresidentialandcommercialapplications.
Agilityisdesignedtorecognizeabnormalconditionsandinformthesystemofthestatus
ofanyprotecteddoor,window,hallway,room,orarea.Statusinformationispresented
visuallyorverbally.ItsupportsthecapabilitiesofcommunicatingwithanAlarm
ReceivingCenter(ARC)ortoyourmobilephoneusingfriendlyandeasytounderstand
verbalmessagesaswellasSMSorEmailmessages.
Thismanualdescribeshowtooperateyoursystem.Itwillguideyouthrough
programminginstructionsformainsystemfeaturesaswellasbasicsettingandunsetting

1.2 Agility Architecture
YourAgilitycontrolsandmonitorsavarietyofsensors,detectors,andcontactsplaced
throughoutthepremises,whichprovideexternal,perimeterandinternalburglary
protection.Thesystemissupervised,meaningthatthepanelchecksthestatusofeach
sensortodetectproblems.Ifthepaneldetectsafaultitwillnotifyyouwithbeepsand
indicatorlightsonthepanelitself.

TheAgilitysystemcanbeoperatedusingseveraldevices,someofwhichhavebeen
designedasbidirectional.Ifyouhavepurchasedabidirectionaldeviceyoursystemis
capableofsendingareturnreplystatusindicationfromthepaneltothedeviceforeach
commandthatissenttoit.
Dependingonyourpurchaseyoucanoperateyoursystemviathefollowing:

Usingthebidirectional8 buttonremotecontrolyoucanset,unset,senda
panicalarm,activateoutputsandmore.Beingbidirectionaltheremote
controlreceivesareplystatusindication,viaits3coloredLEDsandinternal
buzzersounder,fromthepanelforeachcommandthatithassentto
the
panel.Forhighersecurity,commandscanbedefinedtobeactivatedwitha4
digitPINcode.
Agility2WayWirelessKeypad:
Usingthebidirectionalwirelesskeypadyoucanprogramandoperateyour
systemaccordingtoyourneeds.Beingbidirectionalthekeypadreceivesa
replystatusindicationfromthepanelforeachcommandthatithassenttothe
panel.Tousefunctionsofthekeypadyoucanuseacode
oraproximitytag.
4ButtonKeyfob:
Usingthe4buttonkeyfobyoucanset,unset,sendapanicalarmandactivate
outputs.
RemotePhoneOperation:
Usinganyremote,touchtonephoneyoucanperformremoteoperationssuch
assetting,unsetting,listeninginandtalkingtothepremisesandmore.The
systemcanalsoprovideaudibleinformationsuchaseventoccurrencesand
thestatusofyoursystem.
SMS:
IfyoursystemisequippedwithaGSM/GPRSmoduleitcanprovide
informationaboutthesystemsuchaseventoccurrencesbySMS.Youcanalso
operatethesystemusingSMScommandsforsettingandunsettingthesystem
andmore.
ConfigurationSoftware:
RISCOGroupʹsConfigurationSoftwareenablestheengineertoprogramthe
systemandoperatethesystemlo callyorremotely.
WebBrowser:
Usingthewebyoucanperformavarietyofoperationsonyoursystemsuch
assetting,unsetting,outputactivation,receivestatusinformationand
viewingeventlogs.ThisfeaturewillbeavailableinfutureversionsofAgility.

Voice Messaging
ThreetypesofspokenmessagesareheardwhenusingtheAgility,locallyinthepremises
orremotelytoyourmobile:
Eventmessages:Uponselectedeventoccurrence,theAgilityinitiatesacalltoa
remoteFollowMe(FM)telephonenumber,informingyouofasecuritysituationby
playingaprerecordedEventannouncementmessage.
Statusmessages:Upon remoteaccessofthesystembyinitiatingacallfroma
remotetelephoneorreceivingacallfromthesystem,theAgilityannoun cesthe
currentsy stemstatusbyplayingaprerecordedStatusmessage.
LocalAnnouncementmessages:Uponeventoccurrenceoruser’skeypad
operations,theAgilitycanannouncevariouslocalmessagestoresidents.
SMS Messaging
UsingtheGSM/GPRSModulethesystemcansendpredefinedSMSeventmessagestoa
remoteFollowMe(FM)telephonenumber,informingyouofthestatusofthesecurity
systemandcertaineventsthatoccurredinthesystem.

2.1 Setting your system
Settingyoursystemcausestheintrusiondetectorstotriggeranalarmwhenviolated.The
settingoperationwillbefollowedbyalocalmessageannouncement(ifdefined).
Beforesettingthesystemcheckthe
ReadyLEDandmakesurethatthesystemisready
tobeset.IfthesystemisNOTreadytobesetsecureoromittheviolatedzone(s),andthen
proceed.

Forcesettingsetsthesy s temregardlessofopenzones.Yourengineermustenablethis
option.
Note:Forcesettingthesystemresultsinleavingpartofthesystemunsecured.
Settingwithfaultsinthesystem
Ifrequired,anddefinedbyyourengineer,allfau l t s inthesystemshouldbe confirmed
toenableth e settingoperationwhileperformingsettingfromthewirelesskey pad.
Whentryingtosetthesystemwithfaul t s , thedisplaywillshowaʺSystemFaultsʺ
message. Pressthe

2.2 Unsetting your system
Unsettingyoursystemcausesthedetectorsnottotriggeranalarmwhenviolated.When
youenterthepremises,theEntryDelaybeginstocountdown.Youmustunsetthesystem
withintheEntryDelaytimetopreventthesystemfromtriggeringanalarm.Theunsetting
operationwillbefollowedbya
localmessageannouncement(ifdefined).
Note:Ifanalarmoccurredinthesystem,itisrecommendedtoleavethepremises.Onlyafterpolice
investigationshouldyouconsiderthattheburglarisnolongeronyourpremisesandyoucanreenter.In
specialcases(ifprogrammedbyyourengineer)settingthesystemafteranalarmmightrequireanengineer

Duressunsetting:

Chapter 3 - Remote System Operation
3.1 Remote Phone Operation
TheAgilityenablesyoutooperatethesystemfromaremotetouchtonephoneby
initiatingatelephonecalltoorfromthesystemandinteractingwithvoicemenusthat
guideyouthroughyourrequiredremoteoperation.
Remotely Accessing the System
Remotelyaccessingthesysteminvolvesinitiatingacalltothesystem,andenteringyour
remoteaccesscodeandtheusercodeyouusuallyenterinthesystemkeypad.
Toremotelyaccessthesystem:
1. Fromaremotetouchtonetelephone,dialthenumberofthepremiseswhere
Agilityisinstalled.
2.
Ifyoursystemisconnectedtoalandtelephonelineandananswering
machineisinuseatthepremisesletthelineringonce,thenhangupandcall
again.
Ifanansweringmachineisnotinuseatthepremiseswaituntilthesystem
picksup.Afterthe
systempicksupashorttoneisheard.
Note:Whenthesystempicksup,allphonesonthesamelineareeffectivelydisconnectedand
cannotbeused.
3. Enteryour2digitremoteaccesscodewithin10seconds(Defaultcode=00).
Thefollowingmessageisannounced:ʺHello,PleaseEnterYourUserCode,
FollowedBy[#]ʺ.
Enteryourusercodefollowedby[#].(Defaultcode=1234)
4. Afteryourcodeisacceptedasystemstatusmessageis
announced,followedby
theOperationsmenu.Youcannowperformtherequiredremoteoperations.
