IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Warnings
Read this page carefully before you start using this device.
Do not use the device in mines or other areas with explosive gases.
Do not expose to extreme temperatures or high humidity.
When the device is connected via micro USB cable to external mains-
operated equipment like a charger, PC, audio source or similar, this
equipment must comply with IEC 62368-1, IEC 60601-1 or equivalent
safety standards.
Any change or modification to the device that has not been expressly
approved by the manufacturer could void the user's authority to oper-
ate the device.
Do not use the product at altitudes above 2,000 metres, as extremely
low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable
liquid or gas.
Do not dispose of the product with its battery into fire or a hot oven.
The device should be stored and transported within the temperature and
humidity ranges of -10°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F) and < 90% rH.
The device is designed to operate from 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F).

INTENDED USE
The device is intended to connect Widex fitting software to your W-Link
hearing aid* for fitting purposes.
*hearing aid with wireless connectivity
SETTING UP AND USING THE DEVICE

Using the micro USB cable, connect the device to your computer or to a
USB adaptor connected to a power outlet.
We recommend using a 5V 500mA USB adaptor.
NOTE
Please charge the battery fully before using it the first time. While charging,
the centre LED on the device will be flashing. When the device has been fully
charged, the centre LED will stop flashing.
Turning the device on and off
To turn on the device, press and hold the push button for a few seconds
until the LEDs light up.
To turn off the device, press and hold the push button for a few seconds
until all the LEDs are off.

Connecting the device to the WIDEX REMOTE CARE app
When you receive the device, your hearing care professional will have
prepared it for you. After you receive the device, it has to be connected to
the WIDEX REMOTE CARE app before you use it. If the device has already
been connected to the app, you can skip this section.
To connect the device to the app, do as follows:
1. Download the WIDEX REMOTE CARE app
2. Open the app
3. Follow the instructions in the app
NOTE
When connecting the device to your app, please make sure that your
smartphone is not connected to any other devices via Bluetooth.
If the device does not turn on, please recharge it before trying again.

Turn on the device and place it around your neck.
Make sure that your smartphone is connected to the internet.
Go to the WIDEX REMOTE CARE app on your smartphone.
Your hearing care professional will connect to your hearing aids from the
clinic via the fitting software and the fitting device. Your hearing care pro-
fessional is now in control of your hearing aids.
Follow the instructions from your hearing care professional through the
app.

When the remote fit has been completed, you can disconnect and turn off
the device.

The following table shows the various LEDs and what they indicate:

5.1 The device is on and the battery charged
5.2 The device is charging
5.3 The battery is running low
5.4 The battery is very low
5.5 The device is in pairing mode
5.6 The device is connected via Bluetooth (only shown shortly af-
ter the device has been connected)
5.7 The device is malfunctioning. Please return the device to your
hearing care professional
5.8 The device is communicating with your hearing aids
MAINTENANCE
It is important that you keep the device clean and disinfected before use.
Wipe the device and neckloop with a damp cloth and clean the acces-
sories with a dry cloth. Do not use any chemicals.
Do not immerse the device or neckloop in water or any other liquid.

While the device is not in use, keep it in a dry location out of reach of
children and pets.
Never try to open or repair the device yourself. In case of malfunc-
tions, please contact your hearing care professional.

Information regarding disposal
Do not dispose of hearing aids, hearing aid accessories and batteries
along with ordinary household waste.
Hearing aids, batteries and hearing aid accessories should be disposed of
at sites intended for electrical waste and electronic equipment, or given to
your hearing care professional for safe disposal.

设备设置和使用
