Congratulazioni per avere acquistato una web cam USB per PC HP.
Questo opuscolo contiene le istruzioni per l’assemblaggio del prodotto e ne riporta le
limitazioni.
Contenuto della confezione
Il kit della web cam per PC USB contiene:
•1 web cam USB per PC HP
• 2 supporti per web cam per PC HP
• 1 CD-ROM Software and Drivers
• 1 adesivo con il numero di parte HP per l’assistenza
•1 Guida di installazione
• 1 documento Avviso agli utenti di Windows 2000
•1 Guida informativa (questo documento).
Limiti conosciuti
Il CD-ROM Software and Drivers contiene le applicazioni che permettono di:
• creare un album web
• attivare la web cam
• trasmettere un video live
usando la web cam USB su Internet.
Le funzioni possono non essere disponibili negli ambienti di lavoro molto grandi con
un firewall e dei proxy. In questo caso, contattare l’amministratore di rete.
In ogni caso sono operative le seguenti funzioni:
• Creazione di video e immagini
• E-mail video.
Assemblaggio della web cam USB
La web cam USB per PC HP è dotata di due supporti.
La base (a) è destinata ai video CRT e ad alcuni video LCD, mentre HP consiglia di
usare il gancio (b) con gli OmniBook e con la maggior parte dei video LCD.
1 Assemblare l’occhio e il supporto come illustrato.
2 Apporre l’adesivo con il numero di parte HP sul retro dell’occhio.

Il supporto da tavolo o a pinza può essere diverso da quello qui raffigurato.

Uso della web cam USB
NOTA
La web cam USB HP è supportata da Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000 e Windows XP.
Gli utenti di Windows 2000 sono invitati a leggere il documento Avviso agli utenti di
Windows 2000 incluso nella scatola.
Windows XP rileva automaticamente la web cam USB alla prima connessione e
utilizza il driver opportuno. Il CD-ROM in dotazione non è quindi necessario.
Per istruzioni sull’installazione del software, consultare la Guida di installazione
Logitech.
Sotto Windows XP, non tutte le funzioni della web cam USB sono supportate.
Posizionamento della web cam USB
Per informazioni sul collegamento della web cam al computer, vedere la Guida di
installazione di Logitech.
Una volta riavviato il computer, si apre la finestra Logitech QuickCam Test che
mostra l’inquadratura della web cam USB.
Controllare che la web cam USB sia posizionata centralmente sopra il video. Se si
utilizza la web cam con il gancio, collocare quest’ultimo sull’OmniBook o sull’LCD
come indicato nella figura:
Se si usa la web cam USB con la base in dotazione, metterla sopra il video con il logo
Logitech della base rivolto verso di sé (vedere la figura). Orientare l’obiettivo
inclinando l’occhio verso l’alto o verso il basso finché l’immagine nella finestra
Logitech QuickCam Test non risulta soddisfacente.
Regolazione della messa a fuoco
Ruotare in senso orario o antiorario la ghiera grigia della messa a fuoco per
aumentare o diminuire la nitidezza dell’immagine nella finestra Logitech QuickCam
Test.
