Aufmerksamkeit.

Free play and discovering details
In free play your child will handle the game material. Play with your child! Show your child
how to set up the ball track and together watch how the ball rolls. At times it will roll faster, at
times slower - depending on its momentum. On top of that it's fun to topple the tiles that have
been set up.
Talk to your child about what can be discovered on the tiles. In this way, you stimulate your
child’s vocabulary and attention to detail.
This game can be combined with all other My very first ball track sets (item #s, 5284, 7042,
7095, 7461, 8049, 8050) thereby enabling your child to lay out longer tracks.
Game#1: Mimi's Mini Memory Game
Educational topics:
recognizing and assigning motifs
Before Starting to Play
Place the wooden tiles face down on the table. Teach your child how to roll a die.
And Off You Go
The youngest child starts. He rolls the die and looks at the motif.
Ask the child: Where is the matching tile?
The child turns over a tile and compares the motifs. If he has found the right tile, he receives a
part of the ball track as a reward. The tile is then turned back over.
It's the turn of the next player to roll the die.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as all parts of the ball track are distributed. The child, who has collected
the most parts, wins the game. In case of a draw there are various winners.

Game#2: Mimi Hits the Target
Educational topics:
recognizing and assigning motifs
carefully aiming the ball
Before Starting to Play
Set up the ramp with the starting block. Position the wooden tiles on their narrow side and
arrange them in a semi-circle in front of the ramp. Get the die and the ball ready to use.
And Off You Go
The youngest child starts. He rolls the die and looks at the motif.
Ask the child: Where is a matching tile?
The child points to a tile and then angles the ramp at it so that the ball will roll down and hit the
tile. He places the ball on the starter block and lets it roll down the ramp.
Does the ball hit the matching tile?
• Yes! Well done. As a reward you get the tile.
• No! Never mind! Next time you will no doubt have more luck.
Set up the tile that toppled over.
It's the turn of the next player to roll the die.
End of the Game
If on the die a motif appears for which the corresponding tile has already been collected, the
game ends. Arrange the tiles into a row. The player with the longest row wins the game. In case
of a draw there are various winners.
Children learn by carrying out simple game moves on their own by exercise.
Accompany the actions with plain and soft-spoken phrases and let the children take
the die and turn over the tiles on their own. In this way they quickly will assume simple
game moves and have a lot of fun.

Game#3: The Rolling Memory Game of Mimi
Educational topics:
recognizing and assigning motifs
carefully aiming the ball
Before Starting to Play
Set up the ramp with the starter block. Set up the wooden tiles on their narrow side (one tile
per motif) and arrange them in a semi-circle in front of the row. Place the remaining three
wooden tiles face down next to the ramp. Get the ball ready.
And Off You Go
The youngest child starts. He places the ball on the starter block, lets it roll down trying to hit a
tile. To do so, he has three attempts. Before each attempt he can adjust the ramp.
If he hits a tile, he collects it and looks at the motif.
Point to the tiles face down and ask the child:
Where is the matching tile?
The child turns over a tile and compares the motifs. If he has found the right tile, as a reward
he can collect the tile that has toppled over. The other tile is turned back over.
It's the turn of the next player to roll the die.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as the three tiles are distributed. The child with the most tiles wins.
Both winning and losing … are part of playing! Show interest
in your child’s emotions, be happy for him or comfort him.
Children who just lost need to be reassured and to know that
the next game will bring a new opportunity. In this way they
become emotionally stronger for the highs and lows of life.
