POWER
Insert batteries before first use, matching the polarity
(+ and -).
For continuous use of the projector, install the adapter.
NOTE To conserve power, slide PROJECTION ON
to the OFF position.

CLOCK RECEPTION
This product is designed to synchronize its calendar
clock automatically once it is brought within range of
a radio signal:
BARM969P
• DCF-77 generated from Frankfurt, Germany for
Central Europe
• MSF-60 generated from Rugby, England
The radio signal range is 1500 km (932 miles).
BARM969PA
• WWVB-60 generated from the atomic clock in
Fort Collins, Colorado.
The radio signal range is 3219 km (2000 miles).
BARM969P only – slide the EU / UK switch to the
appropriate setting based on your location. Press
RESET whenever you change the selected setting.
The reception icon will blink when it is searching for a
signal. If the radio signal is weak it can take up to 24
hours to get a valid signal reception.

To manually set the clock:
1. Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds.
2. Press VOL + / VOL - to change the settings.
3. Press MODE to confirm.
4. The setting sequence is: Time zone, 12 / 24 hour
format, hour, minute, year, day / month format,
month, day and display language.
NOTE BARM969P only – When an offset hour has
been set (e.g. +1), the time displayed will be the radio-
controlled clock time plus 1 hour.
NOTE BARM969PA only – The time zone options
are (P) Pacific, (M) Mountain, (C) Central and (E)
Eastern.
NOTE The language options are (E) English, (F)
French, (D) German, (I) Italian, and (S) Spanish.
To switch the clock display, press MODE:
• Clock with seconds
• Clock with day
• Clock with time zone offset
ALARM
The clock has 2 alarms that can be set to sound the
radio, 1 of 6 melodies or vibrate.
To set an alarm:
1. Press ALARM to toggle between the alarm
displays and select either alarm 1 or 2.
2. Press and hold ALARM for 2 seconds.
3. Press VOL + / VOL - to change the settings.
4. Press ALARM to confirm.
5. The setting sequence is: Hour, minute, alarm
type and alarm volume. If you select the radio
alarm as your alarm type, you will need to press
STATION to select a preset station and ALARM
to confirm.
NOTE “-:--“ appears when the alarm is not activated.

To activate or deactivate the alarm:
1. Press ALARM to select alarm 1 or 2.
2. Press VOL + / VOL - to activate / deactivate it.
To silence the alarm:
• Press SNOOZE to silence the alarm for 8 minutes.

• Melody alarm only – press any key except
SNOOZE.
• Radio alarm only – press RADIO.
WEATHER FORECAST
This product forecasts the weather for the next 12 to
24 hours within a 30-50 km (19-31 mile) radius, with
70-75% accuracy.

To toggle the indoor temperature unit:

FM RADIO
The unit can store up to 8 preset stations. To conserve
power, the FM radio only works when the AC adapter
is plugged in.
To use the radio:

SLEEP / SOOTHING SOUNDS
The sleep function with soothing sounds or radio can
be set to play through the main unit and vibration
device (VR201) to help lull you to sleep.
To set the unit to sleep:
• Press SLEEP repeatedly to set the sound to
turn off after 15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. When
0 minutes is selected the sleep timer will
automatically turn off after a few seconds.
• To play the radio instead of the soothing sound
during the sleep timer, turn the radio on first and
then press SLEEP to select the time.
OR
• Press SLEEP, this will automatically activate the
last setting you used.
To change the volume, press VOL + / VOL - when
sleep has been activated (0=low, 7=high).
To change the soothing sound, press and hold SLEEP
and use VOL + / VOL -. Then set the sleep function.
PROJECTOR
Press SNOOZE to project the time and alarm status
for 5 seconds.
To use the projector continuously, plug in the adapter
and slide the PROJECTION ON switch down to the
ON position (slide up to turn OFF).
Adjust the FOCUS knob to make the image clearer.
Manually tilt the projection unit to position the image.
To flip the image 180°, press SNOOZE when the
projection is active.
BACKLIGHT
Press SNOOZE to turn on the backlight for 5
seconds.
RESET
Press RESET to return the unit to the default
settings.
VIBRATION WAKE-UP ALARM VR101 /
VR201 (OPTIONAL)
The projection clock works with the optional vibrating
wake-up alarm (sold separately), which can be placed
under your pillow or up to 15 meters away from
the main unit and performs a wake-up function by
vibrating. Simply select the alarm time when you want
the vibration device to wake you up.
The sleep function can be used with the VR201 so
you can listen to the soothing sounds or radio while
you fall asleep.
PRECAUTIONS
This product is engineered to give you years of
satisfactory service if you handle it carefully. Here
are a few precautions:
• Placement of this product on wood surfaces with
certain types of finishes, such as clear varnish,
may result in damage to the finish. Consult the
furniture manufacturer’s care instructions for
direction as to the types of objects that may safely
be placed on the wood surface. Oregon Scientific
shall not be responsible for any damage to wood
surfaces from contact with this product.
• Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid
over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.
• Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive
materials.
• Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock,
dust, temperature or humidity, which may result in
malfunction, shorter electronic life span, damaged
battery and distorted parts.
• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components.
Doing so will invalidate the warranty on the unit
and may cause unnecessary damage. The unit
contains no user-serviceable parts.
• Only use fresh batteries as specified in the user’s
instructions. Do not mix new and old batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Remove batteries when storing the product for a
long time.
• Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal
waste. Collection of such waste separately for
special treatment is necessary.

IMPOSTAZIONE DELL’OROLOGIO
Per impostare l’orologio manualmente, verificare che
la ricezione del segnale dell’orologio sia disattiva.

4. La sequenza di impostazione è: Fuso orario,

FUNZIONE SLEEP/MELODIE RILASSANTI
È possibile impostare la funzione sleep timer con
melodie rilassanti o con la radio, in modo che si attivino
mediante l’unità principale e il dispositivo di vibrazione
(VR201, opzionale) così da conciliare il sonno.
Per impostare l’unità su sleep:
• Premere più volte SLEEP per impostare la
melodia in modo che si spenga dopo 15, 30, 60,
90 o 120 minuti. Se si selezionano 0 minuti, lo
sleep timer si spegnerà automaticamente dopo
pochi secondi.
• Per ascoltare la radio anziché il le melodie
rilassanti durante lo sleep timer, per prima
cosa accenderla e di seguito premere SLEEP per
selezionare il tempo.
OPPURE
• Premere SLEEP per attivare automaticamente
l’ultima impostazione utilizzata.
Per modificare il volume, premere VOL + / VOL - una
volta attivato lo sleep (0=basso, 7=alto).
Per modificare il suono rilassante, tenere premuto
SLEEP e utilizzare VOL + / VOL -. Quindi, selezionare
la funzione sleep.
PROIEZIONE
Premere SNOOZE per proiettare per 5 secondi l’ora e
lo stato della sveglia.
Per utilizzare il proiettore in modo continuato, inserire
l’adattatore e spostare verso il basso la levetta
PROJECTION ON sulla posizione ON (spostarla
verso l’alto per spegnerlo).
Regolare la manopola della messa a fuoco FOCUS
per rendere l’immagine più nitida.
Per posizionare l’immagine, inclinare manualmente
l’unità di proiezione.
Per ruotare l’immagine di 180°, premere SNOOZE
quando la proiezione è attiva.
RETROILLUMINAZIONE
Premere SNOOZE per attivare la retroilluminazione
per 5 secondi.
RESET
Premere RESET per ripristinare le impostazioni
predefinite dell’unità.

L’orologio con proiezione funziona con la sveglia
accessoria a vibrazione (in vendita separatamente),
che può essere posta sotto il cuscino o ad una
distanza massima di 15 metri dall’unità principale per
essere usata come sveglia a vibrazione. È sufficiente
selezionare l’ora della sveglia e selezionare la modalità
a vibrazione per essere svegliati dal dispositivo a
vibrazione quando si desidera.
Si può usare la funzione Sleep con la sveglia a
vibrazione VR201. Così si può ascoltare la radio o le
melodie rilassanti prima di addormentarsi
AVVERTENZE
Questo prodotto è progettato per offrire anni
di funzionamento soddisfacente purché venga
maneggiato con cura. Attenersi alle seguenti
avvertenze:
• Il posizionamento del prodotto su superfici in legno
trattate con determinati tipi di vernici, ad esempio
quelle chiare, può danneggiarne la verniciatura.
Consultare le istruzioni per la manutenzione

quali tipi di oggetti possono essere posti sulle
superfici in legno. Oregon Scientific declina ogni

• Non immergere l’unità in acqua. Se si versa del
liquido sul prodotto, asciugarlo immediatamente
con un panno morbido e liscio.
• Non pulire l’unità con materiali abrasivi o
corrosivi.
• Non sottoporre l’unità a forza o a urti eccessivi,
né esporre a polvere e a oscillazioni di
temperatura o di umidità che potrebbero
causarne il malfunzionamento, la minore durata, il
danneggiamento delle batterie o la deformazione
di alcune parti.
• Non manomettere i componenti interni. In questo
modo si invalida la garanzia del prodotto e si
possono provocare danni. L’unità non contiene
componenti che possono essere riparati
dall’utente.
• Usare solo batterie nuove del tipo e nel modo
specificati nel manuale per l’utente. Non mescolare
batterie nuove con batterie vecchie.
• Non utilizzare batterie ricaricabili.
• Togliere le batterie se si prevede di non utilizzare
il prodotto per un lasso di tempo prolungato.
• A causa di limitazioni dovute alla stampa, le
immagini di questo manuale possono differire
dalla realtà.
